From preliminary observations made in SD Negeri 007 Kota Lama, teachers in these schoolstake advantage of the school environment as a learning resource only two to three times inone semester. Teachers are more frequently present lessons in the classroom despite thepresented materials related to the school environment. From the interviews conductedprospective researchers, most of the teachers admitted reluctantly invites students to learnoutside the classroom, for reasons difficult to supervise. In addition there are teachers whosaid that they could not and did not know in the use of the school environment as a learningresource. Based on these issues, school action research was conducted with the aim ofimproving the ability of teachers to utilize the school environment as a learning resource andto identify the weaknesses and strengths as discussions on the improvement of teacher'sability to utilize the school environment as a learning resource in SD Negeri 007 Kota Lama.This study was designed in the form of Action Research School planned conducted in twocycles. The subjects of this study were teachers at SD Negeri 007 Kota Lama, amounting to18 people classroom teachers. Pursuant to the research note that there is an increase in theability of teachers to utilize the school environment as a learning resource approachDiscussion on SD Negeri 007 Kota Lama. By leveraging the advantages of discussion in theworking group of teachers (KKG), will be able to solve the problems faced by teachersespecially those associated with the use of the school environment as a learning resource inthe teaching and learning process in SD Negeri 007 Kota Lama. Generally seen an increasein the ability of teachers in using schools as a learning resource. The increase was mainly onthe ability categorized good, based on the indicators of research is also known that the abilityof teachers in the second cycle reaches indicators that have been established, ie the ability ofteachers are categorized either achieved amounted to 81.8%, meaning that this figure hasexceeded the success rate has been set, ie 70%.

In accordance with the formulation of the problem, the purpose of this study was to determine whether the application method of giving task if the task granting application method to enhance capabilities utilizing teachers in the school environment as a learning resource in SDN 001 Kunto Darussalam. This type of research is action research school (PTS), which aims to determine the success of the implementation task giving methods to increase. Utilizing the ability of teachers in the school environment as a learning resource in SDN 001 Kunto Darussalam. This study consisted of two cycles, as for each cycle performed in two meetings. The stages are passed in classroom action research, planning/ preparatory actions, Implementation of the action, observation and reflection. From the description of data processing and discussion it was concluded that the ability of master in environmental utilizing the school as a learning resource obtained in the first cycle of 43% with a good category and the second cycle increased to 76% with very good category.

Improving the quality of learning in schools is very dependent on several factors. Very important factors include the application of school culture towards improving quality. School culture is a positive thing that must be maintained and implemented by all school residents without feeling compelled. One of the culture of schools that must be maintained is the problem of discipline, including the discipline of the teachers in attending class in the teaching and learning process. In this School Action Research (PTS), an attempt was made in the form of implementing Reward and Punishment for teachers at SDI Wolowona 1, Ende Regency. This research was conducted in two cycles, because from the results of research and data analysis, it turns out that in the second cycle, teacher discipline in class attendance at the teaching and learning process increased and met the indicators set by 75%. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that to improve teacher discipline in class attendance at teaching and learning activities can be done by applying Reward and Punishment to teachers.

AbstractThe research is designed in the form of action research school with two cycles, with each cycle was carried out in two three meetings. The subjects of this study were teachers at SMK Sabilal Muhtadin Balikpapan consisting of eight teachers with different subjects. In the first cycle the average value obtained from the attitude of the teachers discuss through academic supervision is 79.38 category “enough”, while the second cycle of the average value obtained was 84.88, the category “good”, the average value of the obtained from the assessment of learning scenarios in the first cycle is 78.75, the category of “ enough”, while the second cycle of the average value obtained was 82.08, the category “good” , Seeing the average value obtained from the analysis, we can conclude that from the first cycle to the second cycle, an increase in value the average obtained from each of the components that are observed and assessed, which means coaching and guidance through academic supervision can improve the ability of teachers to utilize the school environment as a learning resource. Keywords : the ability of teachers , academic supervision  Abstrak         Penelitian ini dirancang dalam bentuk Penelitian Tindakan Sekolah yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dimana setiap siklusnya dilaksanakan dalam dua sampai tiga kali pertemuan. Adapun subyek penelitian ini adalah guru-guru di SMK Sabilal Muhtadin Balikpapan  yang terdiri dari delapan orang guru dengan mata pelajaran berbeda-beda. Pada siklus I nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh dari sikap guru berdiskusi melalui supervise akademik adalah 79,38 kategori “cukup”,sedangkan pada siklus II nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh adalah 84,88, kategori “baik”, nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh dari penilaian scenario pembelajaran pada siklus I yaitu 78,75,kategori “cukup”, sedangkan pada siklus II nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh adalah 82,50, nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh dari penilaian pelaksanaan pembelajaran pada siklus I yaitu 78,33, kategori “cukup” ,sedangkan pada siklus II nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh adalah 82,08 , kategori “baik”.Melihat nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh dari hasil analisis tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari siklus I ke siklus II, terjadi peningkatan nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh dari masing-masing komponen yang diobservasi maupun yang dinilai,yang berarti pembinaan dan bimbingan melalui supervise akademik dapat meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam memanfaatkan lingkungan sekolah sebagai sumber belajar.                Kata kunci : kemampuan guru, supervisi akademik

The objective of this study was to investigate whether the application of Teams-Games-Tournament Technique improve the students achievement in Speaking. This study was an classroom action research. The subject of this study was class XI IPA 3 SMA Muhammadiyah 8 Kisaran which consists of 35 students. The study was conducted in two cycles, cycle I consisted of three meetings and cycle II was consisted of three meetings. The instruments for collecting data were quantitative (oral speaking test) and qualitative data (observation sheet and diary note). Based on speaking scores, students’ score kept improving in every evaluation and based on observation sheet and diary note, it was found that teaching and learning process ran well. Students could enlarge their thinking process. The result of this study showed that Teams-Games-Tournament improved students’ achievement in speaking.

This study attempts to improve students’ vocabulary achievement through Clustering Technique. This study was conducted by using classroom action research. The subject of the research was class VIII-B SMP Katolik Trisakti 2 Medan that consisted of 32 students. The research was conducted in two cycles and each cycle consisted of three meetings. The instruments for collecting data were vocabulary tests for quantitative data and diary notes, observation sheet and questionnaire sheet for qualitative data. Students’ score kept improving in every test. In the first cycle test, the mean of vocabulary score was 64.68. And in the second cycle test, the mean of vocabulary score was 79.85. Based on diary notes, observation sheet and questionnaire sheet, teaching and learning process had done effectively showed the improvement. Every student was studied actively. And from the research can be concluded that Clustering Technique can improve students’ achievement in vocabulary.

The purpose of this study is to improve students' interest in English vocabulary through picture media in TK Nur Assalam. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The participants of this research were 6 students. The results obtained from efforts to the improving students interest in English vocabulary using the picture media involving active learners in the learning process. The role of picture media in learning activities is very important for children, especially in the next education level. Teaching and learning activities in early childhood will quickly develop if parents and teachers intensive to develop it. There are several attempts to create a sense of pleasure in early childhood by using picture media in the learning process. From the result of research indicate that when pre-action take result (15%). In cycle I, it increased to (55%) sufficient criteria. In cycle II, it increased again to (85%) good criteria. So, the increase that occurred from the pre-action to the cycle I that is (40%). The increase from cycle I to cycle II that is (30%). And increase from pre-action to cycle II that is (70%). From the research results obtained, then to the improving students interest in English vocabulary can be improved by using picture media in the learning process.Keywords : Students’ Interest, Vocabulary and Picture Media

<em>This study intended to describe how the process of teaching and learning using WebQuest can develop the ninth graders’ writing ability of report text. The subjects included the 15 ninth graders. The students were taught to be able to write report texts by using WebQuest after they visit the web addresses given in the two cycles of classroom action research. Their writing ability achievement and the information on students’ interaction during the teaching and learning process were attained by overseeing writing products at the end of each cycle and by using observation checklists and field notes. The result indicated that WebQuest was successful in developing the students’ writing ability of report texts. The comparison of the students’ scores in the preliminary study and in Cycle 2 was significantly developed. In preliminary study, the students’ average score was 50.8. While in the cycle two, the students’ score was 76.8.</em>

ABSTRACTProblems which were raised in this research are the low students’ activity and their poor achievements during the teaching and learning process, especially in human movement system topic. Hence, the researcher implemented contextual approach with group discussion to stimulate students’ active activity and improve their scores. This study utilized classroom action research in which there were four steps for each cycle, namely planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Data were divided into two, primary (researcher’s action) and secondary (documentation). Those data were collected through interview, students’ worksheets, teacher’s observation and written test. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the students’ activity from cycle 1 to 3 respectively are 71.88 %, 84.38 %, and 90.62 %; meanwhile the average scores of students’ achievement are 55.31; 69.55; and 79.38 respectively. It can be concluded that by implementing contextual approach with group discussion, students’ activity and achievements during teaching and learning the human movement system topic are improved. Keywords: contextual learning, human movement system, student’s achievement, students‘ activity ABSTRAKPermasalahan yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem gerak pada manusia, sehingga peneliti menerapkan pendekatan kontekstual dengan diskusi kelompok untuk merangsang siswa lebih aktif dan hasil belajar siswa lebih meningkat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dimana setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini meliputi data primer yaitu peneliti yang melakukan tindakan dan siswa yang menerima tindakan dan sumber data sekunder yang berupa data dokumentasi. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, lembar aktivitas siswa, observasi kinerja guru dan tes tertulis. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu metode analisis deskriptif. Hasil ditunjukkan dengan persentase keaktifan siswa; hasil siklus 1, 2 dan 3 berturut-turut adalah 71,88 %, 84,38 %, dan 90,62 %. Sedangkan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa hasil siklus 1,2 dan 3 berturut-turut 55,31; 69,55; dan 79,38. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa dengan menerapkan pembelajaran kontekstual dengan diskusi kelompok, keaktifan siswa dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem gerak pada manusia meningkat. Kata kunci:  pembelajaran kontekstual, sistem gerak pada manusia, hasil belajar siswa, keaktifan siswa

Penelitian ini bertujuan memaparkan metode Drill melalui explicit instruction dalam peningkatan proses belajar mengajar mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama terutama dalam pengajaran aspek Alquran. Strategi pembelajaran yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan  tutor sebaya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek penelitian kelas X.1 yang diajar oleh guru PAI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Metode drill/ latihan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam  membaca Alquran. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari penuturan huruf Alquran/ Hijaiyyah sesuai dengan kaidah ilmu tajwid. Para siswa menjadi fasih dan lancar. Para siswa juga termotivasi untuk meningkatkan kembali kemampuan membaca Alquran. Pengetahuan  siswa juga meningkat dengan adanya tugas mencari beberapa contoh bacaan Alquran sesuai dengan indikator pembelajaran. This study aims to describe the Drill method through explicit instruction in improving the teaching and learning process of Religious Education subjects, especially in teaching aspects of the Koran. The learning strategy is carried out using peer tutors. This type of research is classroom action research with research subjects in class X.1 taught by Islamic Education teachers. The results showed that the drill / exercise method could improve students' ability to read the Koran. This can be seen from the narrative of the letters of the Koran / Hijaiyyah in accordance with the rules of recitation. The students became fluent and fluent. Students are also motivated to improve their ability to read the Koran. Students' knowledge also increases with the task of finding several examples of reading the Koran according to the learning indicators.

<p>This study used a qualitative approach with classroom action research (PTK). The main goal of this research is to understand at the various possibilities efforts to improve the achievement of learners Class XI IPS-1  Madrasah Aliyah Genukwatu on subjects’ geography through approach Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) with a model of P a SA (Pictures and Student Active). This research took place in the first semester of the school year 2013/2014, performed with 2 cycles. The learning process with CTL approach through PASA models implemented by stages (1) the distribution of a small group (2) students describe the pictures (3) review and analyze each image (4) discuss the pictures (5) perform oral presentations (6) carry out post-test in the form of quizzes and problems of objective/ subjective. The results showed that the learning outcomes with PASA models can improve the processes and outcomes of learning. In cycle I Class XI IPS-1yang totaling 25 students who completed study were 20 students (80%), while incomplete 5 students (20%) in the second cycle of a significant increase which students completed 100%.</p><p>Keywords: improve the achievement, CTL, Picture and Student Active</p>
