This research is done because the still low student's IPS score is 62. Learning process in favor of the teacher is not on the student side. The subject matter that is delivered is the environment and implement the cooperation of third grade students of SD Negeri 02 Kundur. Type of research, classroom action research (PTK). The study was conducted in two cycles. Prior to carrying out the action, a preliminary test is conducted to find out how far students have knowledge. Learning method uses contextual teaching and learning (CTL) method. Data collection techniques by making RPP, Observation, action, reflection, and evaluation while the technique of data analysis is by observation techniques, interviews, results of relection, and evaluation. The research subjects of third grade students of SD Negeri 02 Kundur, consist of 13 women, and 14 men. Prasiklus 72.59 did not complete 37,04% and 63,96% complete, cycle I, 77,70 not 55,56% complete and complete to 44,44% and cycle II increased to 100%. Total prasiklus value of 1959 lowest 66 and 90 highest, cycle I total value 2098, low 65 and highest 93, cycle II number 2280, lowest score 70 and highest value 95. So the use of CTL method can improve student learning result of SD Negeri 02 Kundur.

This research discusses the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model in improving student learning outcomes, the purpose of the research in this paper is how to use the Contextual Learning learning model and Learning (CTL) can improve student learning outcomes. The type of research used in this study is classroom action research (CAR). The research subjects were students of class XI Administration 3 Vocational High School (SMK) Negeri 1 Palopo 2018/2019 academic year consisting of 7 male students and 18 female students. The data in this study were obtained from the results of observations of student activities (observation sheets) and final cycle test instruments. Furthermore, the data of this study were analyzed with qualitative descriptive. The learning model of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) in the subjects can improve student learning outcomes. This can be seen from students who enthusiastically receive learning material and students are not ashamed to practice the material directly received, the results showed that during the final test Cycle I student learning outcomes amounted to 73.52%, then in cycle II Discover the results of learning student learning material at 81.48% or around 7.91% in the realm of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects.

This research is motivated by the large number of students who find it difficult to understand the concept of mathematics because generally mathematics is an abstract subject so that the teacher must strive for learning to be concrete by applying learning that can relate the concept to the real life of students. One of the efforts is to apply a contextual teaching and learning approach to present learning that is full of abstract concepts to have a close relationship with students' daily lives. This type of research is a classroom action research conducted in class IV / A SDN 003 Sungai Salak. The number of research subjects was 24 students. The instrument used to analyze students' conceptual understanding used a multiple choice concept comprehension test. The results showed that students' understanding of mathematical concepts in the first cycle was 68.61 with 17 students who completed or 70.83%. In cycle II students' understanding of mathematical concepts increased to 71.11 with classical completeness of 83.33% where as many as 20 students were able to achieve the specified completeness. The conclusion based on the results of this study is that the application of the contextual teaching and learning approach can improve the understanding of the mathematical concepts of grade IV / A students of SDN 003 Sungai Salak on the subject of circumference and area of simple flat shapes.

Learning Model is a learning technique that is used by teachers in teaching a particular subject and in the selection of a model must be adjusted in advance with the subject matter. The level of cognitive development of students and the facilities or facilities available in accordance with the learning objectives so that the expected learning model can be achieved.                Implementation of learning about the delivery of stories by applying the Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) model. CTL is a learning concept that helps teachers relate to students' real-world situations and encourages students to make connections between the knowledge they have and their application in their daily lives. The CTL model runs in accordance with the scenarios in the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), and has succeeded in creating a conducive learning situation where students are directly involved in the learning process, can also improve student learning outcomes for learning Indonesian which was initially considered boring.                The level of students' understanding of the delivery of stories after learning to use the CTL learning model can increase well, this can be seen from the results of the evaluation that in cycle 1, the average score of 67 categories was sufficient and in the second cycle it obtained an average score of 80 with a good category. After being given an action by using the application of the model of conventional teaching and learning (CTL) in cyle 1 students learning completeness is 74% or 20 Students. While in cycle 2 the classical learning achievement to 93% or 25 Students,

<p>The main purposes of this study are (1) to describe the implementation of contextual teaching and learning (CTL) in teaching English, and (2) to investigate the teacher’s difficulties in implementing CTL in teaching English at the seventh grade students of SMPN-1 Palangka Raya. It was used qualitative method. The subject of this study was an English teacher of SMPN-1 Palangka Raya. It was used observation, interview and documentation to collect the data, and for data analysis it was used data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The findings show that (1) the implementation of CTL implemented by the teacher was through some components of CTL which were applied more frequently than others. The questioning, learning community, and modeling were frequently applied. (2) The problems faced by the teacher were the condition of the students who still made some noise, the large amount of students in the class, little attention from the students, and the shyness from the students to speak up.</p>

<p>Chemistry in secondary education aims to equip students with higher order thinking skills. In a grade 11 chemistry class at UPH College, students were less active in asking and answering questions. The result of their cognitive learning in class was actually quite good, but they did not connect the concepts and context of chemistry to real-world situations. Students memorized almost all of the concepts that they needed to complete the exercises and take tests. Students were not using thinking skills because the learning process tended to use a  conventional teacher-centered approach. The aim of this research is to implement the Contextual Teaching and Learning method as a solution to increase critical thinking of grade 11 students in chemistry. This study uses Class Action Research (CAR) with 24 grade 11 students at UPH College as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, reflection, and student worksheet which is then analyzed descriptively qualitative. The results showed that there is increased critical thinking through Contextual Teaching and Learning. It was concluded that (1) the Contextual Teaching and Learning process should include constructivist, inquiry, questioning, learning communities, modeling, reflection, and authentic assessment in each cycle run, (2) the Contextual Teaching and Learning method can increase critical thinking of grade 11 students in chemistry.</p><p><strong>BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRAK: </strong>Pembelajaran Kimia pada pendidikan menengah atas bertujuan untuk memperlengkapi siswa dengan kemampuan berpikir yang lebih tinggi. Saat pembelajaran Kimia di UPH College berlangsung, sebagian besar siswa kelas XI masih kurang aktif dalam proses tanya jawab. Hasil rata-rata belajar kognitif siswa dalam kelas ini tergolong baik, namun siswa kurang mengaitkan konsep kimia dengan konteks kehidupan sehari-hari. Hampir semua konsep dihafal dan digunakan untuk mengerjakan soal latihan dan soal tes. Siswa belum terbiasa melatih kemampuan berpikir mereka karena pembelajaran cenderung menggunakan pendekatan konvensional yang berpusat pada guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan menerapkan pembelajaran kontekstual untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI pada pelajaran Kimia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan subjek penelitian berjumlah 24 siswa kelas XI di UPH College. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, jurnal refleksi, dan lembar kerja siswa yang kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis melalui pembelajaran kontekstual. Disimpulkan bahwa: (1) proses pembelajaran kontekstual yang meliputi konstruktivisme, inkuiri, bertanya, komunitas belajar, pemodelan, refleksi, dan penilaian otentik terlaksana dalam setiap siklus yang dijalankan, (2) pembelajaran kontekstual dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI pada pelajaran Kimia.</p>

Contextual learning which is commonly known as Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) is a learning concept that links learning material with the actual (real) conditions at home, school, and community. Students can be expected to think critically in solving problems in learning. In the context of learning this CTL method encourages students to find and explore their own knowledge. So that it can increase students learning motivation because basically the CTL method contains the principle of questioning, with this principle students, are more active as recipients, and there feedback during the learning process. Abstract: This study aims to determine the improvement of teachers’ performance in learning using the CTL learning model through clinical supervision at MTsS Harapan Kab Nagan Raya. This research is a school action research (School Action Research), the research was conducted and carried out in 2 cycles with 2 meetings in each cycle. The research stages were planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The research subjects were 6 class teachers at MTsS Harapan in the 2018/2019 academic year. The data was obtained by having an observation and documentation. This school action research used 3 (three) assessment instruments, they were the Assessment of The Lesson Plan, the Learning Planning Ability, and the implementation of the lesson plan, Evaluation, and Follow Up. Data validation used triangulation data and source. The data analysis used a qualitative descriptive technique. Based on the data analysis, the research results showed that the implementation of classroom supervision by the principal has proven successful in improving the performance of teachers in Islamic Studies, Indonesian Language and Mathematics at MTsS Harapan Kab Nagan Raya, in managing the learning process by applying the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) model. The improvement of the results of the observations was made in 3 aspects of the assessment. In the Lesson Plan Assessment, it was increased from 54.46 to 75.60 and 94.35, while the aspect of assessing the ability to plan learning increased from 54.63 to 70.83 and 87.96 and the aspect of the ability to carry out learning, evaluation, action continued from 55.77 to 68.91 and 81.73 at the end of the second cycle. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kinerja guru dalam pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran CTL melalui supervisi klinis di MTsS Harapan Kab Nagan Raya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan sekolah (School Action Research), penelitian dilakukan dan dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus dengan 2 kali pertemuan pada setiap siklusnya. Tahapan penelitian yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah guru kelas di MTsS Harapan pada Tahun Pelajaran  2018/2019 yang berjumlah 6 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan kegiatan observasi dan dokumentasi. Alat pengumpul data pada kegiatan penelitian tindakan sekolah ini menggunakan 3 (tiga) instrumen penilaian, yaitu Penilaian Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), Instrumen Penilaian Kemampuan Merencanakan Pembelajaran, dan Instrumen Penilaian Kemampuan Melaksanakan Pembelajaran, Evaluasi, Tindak Lanjut. Validasi data menggunakan triangulasi data dan sumber. Analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan analisis data hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan supervisi kelas oleh kepala sekolah terbukti berhasil meningkatkan kinerja guru mata pelajaran PAI, Bahasa Indonesia dan Matematika di MTsS Harapan Kab Nagan Raya, dalam mengelola proses pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran contextual teaching and learning (CTL) dibuktikan dengan peningkatan hasil observasi yang dilakukan pada 3 apsek penilaian. Pada aspek penilaian Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) meningkat dari 54,46 menjadi 75,60 dan 94,35 sedangkan aspek penilaian kemampuan merencanakan pembelajaran meningkat dari 54,63 menjadi 70,83 dan 87,96  dan aspek kemampuan melaksanakan pembelajaran, evaluasi, tindak lanjut dari 55,77 menjadi 68,91 dan 81,73 pada akhir siklus kedua.

AbstractThis research was an experimental research. It aimed to investigate the effect of using ContextualTeaching and Learning method on students’ reading comprehension to the eighth graders at SMP3 PSKD Jakarta. To meet the aim, this research was conducted in two classes. Each classconsisted of 30 students. The experimental group (VIII A) was taught using CTL method andcontrol group (VIII B) was taught using drilling method. The classes were held twice a week andthe research was conducted over a period of one months. Pre-test and post-test were employed tocollect data. Both the pre-test and the post-test were administered in the two groups. The datawere analyzed using SPSS version 19.0 software. These data analysis were applied for analyzingthe data obtained from four sets of tests. Data analysis showed that there is a significant effect ofusing Contextual Teaching and Learning Method toward students’ reading comprehension. It canbe seen through the mean scores of post-test in the experimental group is 16.10 and the meanscore of post-test in the control group is 15.95. Based on the result it can be said that ContextualTeaching and Learning significantly affected the eighth graders’ reading comprehension at SMP3 PSKD Jakarta.Keywords: experimental research, contextual teaching and learning, reading comprehension

School teaching activities are part of educational activities to guide students toward better conditions. One of those taught in school is a field of mathematics study. In general, students think that math lesson is one of the hardest and frightening lessons. To be able to change the views of students on mathematics subjects, it must be made learning that can make students interested and motivated to learn math. Thus, mathematical learning is no longer considered to be frightening learning. One way to support it, it must be chosen strategy / learning model in accordance with the condition of students. One of them is by using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Research subjects in this study are students of grade V SDN Singawada I District Rajagaluh Majalengka District. The instrument used in this research is the observation sheet of teacher and student activity. Based on the above data analysis, it can be concluded that: Cotextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) applied in this research can be implemented well by teachers and students respond positively every activity in learning.

This study aims to improve the result study of sains through CTL. This research is a Classroom Action Research. The subject of the research is the 3th grade student at Ngabenrejo 3 Elementery School. The research instruments are observation sheets, pretest and postest. Data analysis was done by descriptive statistc technique by determining mean, median, mode, lowest score, highest score, and completeness of study individually or classically presented in percentage form. The result of this research shows that CTL can increase the result study of sains of the 3th grade student. This can be seen from the increase of the pra cycle stage which shows the result study of sains of the students by 40, 09 % with the average score is 57, 04 has increase in the first cycle of 68, 18 % with the average score is 70 and the second cycle there is also a significant increase of 95, 45 % with the average score is 85, 68. This means that the implementation of class action research is successful. Based on the result of the research, the implications that can be given, among others, is this study provides an overview of the improvement of the result study of student after applying the CTL. This learning provides students the opportunity to learn independently and improve their creativity
