The background of this research was the low ability of student’ mathematical learning outcomes of SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru. The purposes of this research were: 1) to find the significance of students’ mathematical learning outcomes who study through Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with student who study through conventional learning with scientific approach; (2) to examine the improvement of students’ mathematical learning outcomes  who study through PBL model and students who study through conventional learning with scientific approach in class XI-MIPA SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru. This research was an experimental research (quasi experiment) with The Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population of this research is all students of class XI-MIPA SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru. Sample of this research consist of two classes, class XI-MIPA4 as experiment class and XI-MIPA3 as control class. The data of this research were student’s mathematical learning outcomes from pretest-posttest. Students’ mathematical learning outcomes were analyzed using independent sample t-test which was preceded by normality test and homogeneity of variances test. The result of this research shows that the improvement of students’ mathematical learning outcomes who study through PBL model is higher than students who study through conventional learning with scientific approach.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan keefektifan antara pembelajaran: (1) antara model Problem-Based Learning, Problem Solving, dan Inquiry; (2) model Problem-Based Learning dan model Problem Solving; (3) model Problem-Based Learning dan model Inquiry; dan (4) model Problem Solving dan model Inquiry. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif jenis eksperimen semu dengan posttest-only control group design yang sudah dimodifikasi sesuai dengan quasi-experimental research. Pengumpulan data menggunakan cara dokumentasi yaitu berupa jumlah peserta didik, nilai rapot sebagai skor awal, perangkat pembelajaran, dan tes hasil belajar. Analisis data menggunakan one way anava pada taraf signifikansi 0.05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik model Problem-Based Learning, Problem Solving, dan Inquiry terdapat perbedaan keefektifan. Hasil analisis yang menyatakan hipotesis nihil diterima hanya terdapat dalam pengujian hipotesis yang kedua, yakni tidak terdapat perbedaan keefektifan pendekatan saintifik dengan model Problem-Based Learning dan Problem Solving; sedangkan pengujian hipotesis ketiga menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan keefektifan pendekatan saintifik model Problem-Based Learning dan Inquiry; hepotesis keempat menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan keefektifan pendekatan saintifik model Problem Solving dan Inquiry.Kata kunci: keefektifan pendekatan saintifik, PBL, PS, Inquiry THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SCIENTIFIC APPROACH OF PROBLEM BASED LEARNING, PROBLEM SOLVING, AND INQUIRY IN TEACHING AND LEARNING SOCIAL STUDIESAbstractThis research aims to reveal: (1) the differences among Problem-Based Learning, Problem solving, and Inquiry; (2) the effectiveness of Problem-Based Learning and Problem Solving model; (3) the effectiveness of Problem-Based Learning and Inquiry model; and (4) the effectiveness of Problem Solving and Inquiry model. This research was quantitative research with quasi experiment as a method. It used the post test-only control group design modified in accordance with the quasi-experimental reseacrh. The research data were obtained through documentation of the number of learners, raport book score as the initial score, learning devices, and evaluation. The data analysis technique was one way ANOVA at the significance level of 0.05. The results show that there is a significance difference in learning by using the scientific approach of Problem-Based Learning, Problem Solving, and Inquiry. The null hypothesis is accepted in the second hypothesis testting. There is no effectiveness difference in the scientific approach with the model of Problem-Based Learning and Problem Solving; in the third hypothesis testing, there is an effectiveness difference in the scientific approach with the model of Problem-Based Learning and Inquiry; and in the fourth hypothesis testing, there is an effectiveness difference in the scientific approach with the model of Problem Solving and Inquiry.Keywords: the effectiveness of scientific approach, PBL, PS, Inquiry

Penelitian dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa, menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan Pretest-postest Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang memprogramkan mata kuliah pengetahuan lingkungan dan kependudukan pada Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FITK IAIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. Kelas eksperimen dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran berbasis PBL, sedangkan kelas kontrol dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji-t (Independent Samples t Test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa (t-hit. 6,297 > t-tabel 2,005) yang dibelajarkan melalui model PBL. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan model PBL dinyatakan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa pada perkuliahan pengetahuan lingkungan dan kependudukan. Kata Kunci: Problem Based Learning, Hasil Belajar Kognitif, dan Pencemaran Lingkungan. The Research aimed to improve cognitive learning outcome of students, by using experimental method with Pretest-Postest Control Group Design. The population of this research was the students majoring in environment and demography at biology education department of Tarbiyah and Teaching Faculty of IAIN Ar-Raniry at Banda Aceh. Experimental class was treated by using Problem Based Learning model, while control class was treated by using conventional learning. Data analysis and the result were obtained by using the t-test (independent sample t-test). The result of the test showed that there was a significant improvement to cognitive learning outcome students (tcount 6,297 > ttab 2,005) treated by using PBL model. therefore, PBL model can improve to cognitive learning outcome at environment and demography department. This research aims to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning using puzzle media on students' critical thinking. The study population was all grade VII students at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Bandar Lampung totaling 192 people. The research sample was students from 2 classes, namely class VII D and VII F who were selected from the population by using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used a pretest-posttest sheet. The design used is the nonequivalent control group design. The data analysis used t-test with a significance of 5%. The results showed a sig significance value. (2-tailed) 0.13 <0.05, which means that the n-Gain mean of critical thinking learning outcomes of students between the experimental class and the control class is significantly different. Thus, it is known that the problem-based learning model using puzzle media can affect the critical thinking skills of students.

Abstrak Sebagai salah satu sekolah yang menerapkan kurikulum 2013, SMAN 1 Sigli dituntut mampu menggunakan IT dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Hal ini merupakan hambatan dalam implementasi kurikulum 2013 di SMAN 1 Sigli, maka perlu menerapkan IT dalam model pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh model PBL berbantuan IT terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi fluida statis di SMAN 1 Sigli. Metode quasi experiment dengan pretest posttest, control group design yang dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Sigli tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Pemilihan sampel dengan teknik random sampling, memilih 2 (dua) dari 5 (lima) kelas yang terdapat di SMAN 1 Sigli. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan soal tes untuk melihat pengaruh model PBL berbantuan IT terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi fluida statis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar peserta didik mencapai 85% kategori tinggi pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol hanya 65%, hasil pengujian hipotesis didapat thitung > ttabel yaitu 2,61 > 1,68. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model PBL berbantuan IT dalam pembelajaran fisika terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi fluida statis di SMAN 1 Sigli. Model PBL berbantuan IT dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran untuk membuat peserta didik lebih aktif, namun terdapat kelemahan pada kegiatan merumuskan masalah dan berhipotesis. Kata Kunci: PBL berbantuan IT; fluida; hasil belajar. Abstract As one of the schools implementing the 2013 curriculum, SMAN 1 Sigli is required to use IT in improving learners' learning outcomes. This is an obstacle in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in SMAN 1 Sigli, it is necessary to apply IT in the learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of IT assisted PBL model on student learning outcomes on static fluid material at SMAN 1 Sigli. Quasi experimental method with pretest posttest, control group design implemented in SMAN 1 Sigli in academic year 2016/2017. Selection of sample by random sampling technique, choose 2 (two) from 5 (five) class which is in SMAN 1 Sigli. The data was collected using test questions to see the effect of IT assisted PBL model on students' learning outcomes on static fluid materials. The result of the research shows that the students' learning achievement reaches 85% high category in the experimental class and the control class is only 65%, the result of hypothesis testing is tcount> ttable is 2.61> 1.68. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that there is influence of IT assisted PBL model in physics learning toward student learning outcomes on static fluid material at SMAN 1 Sigli. IT-assisted PBL models can be applied in learning to make learners more active, but there are weaknesses in problem-forming and hypothesizing activities. Keywords: IT assisted PBL; fluida; learning outcomes.

The low of learning outcomes is a learning problem that is always encountered in various schools, including in SD (Primary School) Negeri 2 Campang Raya. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences and the effect of the use of problem-based learning worksheets on the learning outcomes of 4th-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Campang Raya. The research method used is quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group design. This study used non-probability sampling with 30 students in grade 4 at SD Negeri 2 Campang Raya as research subjects. Test and non-test instruments were used to collect research data and analyze data using t-test and simple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that there is an influence from the use of problem-based learning worksheets on the learning outcomes of 4th-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Campang Raya.

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh media pembelajaran e-modul berbasis flipbook pada model problem based learning terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XII MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Wajo pada materi pokok sifat koligatif larutan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah posttest only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XII MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Wajo yang terdiri dari 6 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara random sampling. Kelas yang terpilih sebagai kelas eksperimen yaitu kelas XII MIPA 1 yang dibelajarkan menggunakan media pembelajaran e-modul berbasis flipbook pada model problem based learning dan sebagai kelas kontrol yaitu kelas XII MIPA 6 dibelajarkan menggunakan model problem based learning. Data motivasi belajar peserta didik untuk kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol terdistribusi normal dan memiliki varians yang homogen, sehingga dilakukan uji-t dengan α= 0,05 dan dk= 52, diperoleh thitung > ttabel (3,303>1,674). Perhitungan hasil belajar dari kelas eksperimen tidak terdistribusi normal dan kelas kontrol terdistribusi normal, serta kedua kelas berasal dari populasi yang homogen sehingga uji hipotesis yang digunakan yaitu uji statistik non-parametrik, Mann-Whitney dengan α= 0,05 diperoleh Zhitung > Ztabel (8,66 > 1,64). Terdapat pengaruh media pembelajaran e-modul berbasis flipbook pada model problem based learning terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XII MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Wajo pada materi pokok sifat koligatif larutan. Research design was posttest only control group design. Population was students in class XII MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Wajo that consist of six classes. Sample was taken randomly. Experiment class was XII MIPA 1 that learned e-modul based on flipbook media in problem based learning model and control class was XII MIPA 6 that learned problem based learning model without e-modul based on flipbook media. Motivation data in experiment class and control class was normally distributed and it has homogen varians so test-t with ∝=0.05 dan dk=52 was done with tcalculated > ttable (3,303>1,647). For the learning outcome data in experiment and control class was not normally distributed while in control class was normally distributed and it has homogen varians so, parametric test by Man-Withney with ∝=0.05, was done with zcalculated > ztable (8,66>1,64). It can be concluded that there is an effect of e-modul based flipbook on media in problem based learning model toward students motivations and learning outcomes in class XII MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Wajo on subject matter of colligative properties solution. This study aims to produce an android-based e-module on CAD that has quality (feasible, effective, and practical) in improving student learning outcomes. The method used is the Research and Development (R&D) approach, which consists of preliminary studies, development, and testing by experts and practitioners to ensure that the e-module meets the requirements (feasible and practical) as a learning media. Limited trials were conducted through a true-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. This experiment was conducted to test the effectiveness of e-modules during the learning process. The analysis used includes a validity test, reliability test, normality test, homogeneity test, independent-sample t-test, and N-Gain test. The results of the study found that the e-module products that met the standards of material and media feasibility based on expert judgment and e-modules were very practical and effective to improve learning outcomes. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan e-modul pembelajaran CAD berbasis android yang memiliki kualitas (layak, efektif dan praktis) yang dapat membantu meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) yang terdiri dari studi pendahuluan, pengembangan dan pengujian oleh beberapa ahli dan praktisi untuk memastikan bahwa e-modul tersebut memenuhi syarat (layak dan praktis) sebagai media pembelajaran. Uji coba terbatas dilakukan melalui true-eksperimental design dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Eksperimen ini dilakukan untuk menguji efektivitas e-modul selama proses pembelajaran. Analisis yang digunakan meliputi uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji independent sample t test serta uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan produk e-modul yang telah memenuhi standar kelayakan materi dan media berdasarkan penilaian ahli serta e-modul sangat praktis dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar.

Abstract:This study aims to understand the influence of the problem-based learning model with a scientific approach to grade VIII students' mathematics learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 1 Sungguminasa. This research uses a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. This research collected its research data through the distribution of observation sheets and learning achievement tests. Based on the descriptive statistical analysis results that the average value of student learning outcomes by using the problem-based learning model is 78.7, and the standard deviation is 7.21, while the average value of student learning outcomes without the problem-based learning model treatment is 72.19, and the standard deviation is 7.01. The results of the inferential analysis indicate the significant value (2-tailed) of 0.003 < 0.05, signifying a rejected H0. For that reason, this research concludes that there is a significant difference in grade VIII students' mathematics learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 1 Sungguminasa when the problem-based learning model with a scientific approach is implemented.Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaraan berbasis masalah dengan pendekatan saintifik terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sungguminasa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model problem based learning adalah sebesar 78,7, dan standar deviasinya 7,21, sedangkan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang tidak menggunakan model problem based learning adalah 72,19, dan standar deviasinya 7,01. Hasil analisis inferensial menunjukkan nilai signifikan (2-tailed) sebesar 0,003 < 0,05, yang berarti H0 ditolak. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan dalam hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Sungguminasa ketika menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan pendekatan saintifik.

The purpose of research to determine that effect of problem-based learning (PBL) model on cognitive student achievement in SMP YPPGI Silo Manokwari in the relation of population density to the environment topic. The study was a quasi-experimental research used nonequivalent control group design. The sample of the study was the students of class VIIA such as experimental class and the total students as many as 23 students and the class VIIB such as the control class and the total students as many as 22 students. That result showed the experimental class to implementation PBL model obtained the average posttest 70,78, while the class control obtained the average posttest 50,05. The significant value was 0,01 &lt; α = 0,05, there were different cognitive student achievement between the experiment class and the control class. Conclusion, there are differences in cognitive students achievement between students taught using PBL model with students taught using a conventional learning model

<p class="07KatakunciKeywords"><span lang="EN-US">Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah dalam pembelajaran matematika. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dilakukan penelitian dengan model <em>Problem-Based Learning</em> (PBL) berbantuan video dalam <em>liveworksheets</em><em>.</em> Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen kuasi dengan desain penelitian <em>pretest-posttest control group design.</em> Populasi dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari kelas X TKR 1 - X TKR 3 pada salah satu Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) di Kudus. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan <em>teknik cluster random sampling </em>didapatkan kelas X TKR 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X TKR 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil pelaksanaan pembelajaran kelas eksperimen yang dimulai dengan pemberian masalah menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Selain itu uji N gain menunjukkan peningkatan skor kelas eksperimen sebesar 63%, sedang kelas kontrol sebesar 49%. Berdasarkan pelaksanaan dan hasil analisis maka dapat disimpulkan model <em>problem-based learning</em> berbantuan video dalam <em>liveworksheets</em> efektif dengan kategori sedang.</span><span lang="EN-US">Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa model PBL berbantuan video dalam <em>liveworksheets</em><em> </em>dapat dijadikan alternatif model pembelajaran untuk mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.</span></p><p class="07KatakunciKeywords"> </p><p class="06IsiAbstrak">This research is motivated by the low ability of students to solve problems in learning mathematics. Therefore, to overcome this problem, research was carried out using a video-assisted Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in live worksheets. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study consisted of class X TKR 1 - X TKR 3 at one of the Vocational High Schools in Kudus. The sample selection using cluster random sampling technique obtained class X TKR 2 as the experimental class and X TKR 3 as the control class. The results of the implementation of the experimental class learning which began with giving problems showed an increase in mathematical problem-solving abilities. In addition, the N-gain test showed an increase in the score of the experimental class by 63% while the control class was 49%. Based on the results of the implementation and analysis, it can be concluded that the video-assisted problem-based learning model on student worksheets is effective in the medium category. These findings indicate that the video-assisted PBL model in live worksheets can be used as an alternative learning model to develop students' mathematical problem-solving abilities.</p>
