The uniqueness of universities in Islamic boarding schools Through the curriculum collaboration of Nurul Jadid University strives to produce excellent Islamic boarding school graduates not only in accordance with their respective potentials but also to have a religious understanding that influences such as the literary ability and furudhul's understanding ainiyah. The brand's Islamic values can be determined in a variety of ways, including: based on factors of compliance, based on its origin, and based on the customer. Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor's La Tansa Gontor Department Store is one of the commercial units operated by Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor, an Islamic boarding school that places a strong emphasis on Islamic values. The goal of this study is to determine how LaTansa Gontor Department Store may adopt Islamic brand points while also identifying a good approach. This study employed a qualitative approach based on grounded theory. The information was gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation. Purposive sampling was utilized to determine the sample used by the researcher, and Miles and Hubberman's data analysis method use. According to the findings of this study, LaTansa Gontor Department Store has succeeded in instilling its brand image in customer perception. La Tansa Gontor Department Store milik Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor merupakan salah satu unit komersial yang dioperasikan oleh Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor, sebuah pesantren yang menempatkan penekanan kuat pada nilai-nilai Islam. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan bagaimana LaTansa Gontor Department Store dapat mengadopsi poin merek Islam sambil juga mengidentifikasi pendekatan yang baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berdasarkan teori grounded. Informasi tersebut dihimpun melalui pengamatan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Pengambilan sampel purposive digunakan untuk menentukan sampel yang digunakan oleh peneliti, dan penggunaan metode analisis data Miles dan Hubberman. Menurut temuan penelitian ini, LaTansa Gontor Department Store telah berhasil menanamkan citra mereknya dalam persepsi pelanggan. Kata kunci: Merk Islami, Strategi, Toko Serba Ada

One of the great traditions in Islamic education institutions in Indonesia is teaching by transmitting Islamic values as found in classical books written centuries ago. The majority in Indonesia, the classic book is better known as the Kitab Kuning. Teaching with the Kitab Kuning is usually done in Islamic Boarding Schools. Examining Kitab Kuning requires qualified Arabic language skills at least passively. Unfortunately, not all Islamic boarding schools that have a variety of superior programs in certain fields, are weak in the field of studying Kitab Kuning. One of them is the Islamic Boarding School Mu'allimin Muhammadiyyah Sawah Dangka which has the flagship Tahfizh Alquran program but is weak in the study of Kitab Kuning. One of the main factors is the lack of adequate quality of human resources. For this reason, this community service activity aims to provide training while introducing new, lightweight methods in learning Arabic, namely the Bihaqatil Jumal method. This method emphasizes learning Arabic using the right brain. After a series of community service activities, teachers and Islamic boarding schools felt helped and gained new experiences in learning Arabic methods to study Kitab Kuning. In addition, both the assisted object and the resource person requested that this kind of community service be continued.

The appearance of the trailer for The Santri movie has sparked various responses on the internet, this can be observed from the existence of parties who are pro and contra with the movie trailer. This difference can be seen from the way the audience responds to and interpret the contents of the movie trailer. This study can understand the image of the student at Islamic Boarding School in the movie trailer of The Santri which can be seen through the account NU Channel on YouTube. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach model with content analysis on movie trailers. The results of the study show that the image of the student at an Islamic Boarding School in the movie trailer of The Santri can be divided into two parts, namely: first, an explicit image such as students must have self-confidence, have high dreams, love religion and their nation, have a good faith, and be a loyal friend. Second, implicit images such as students who have a simple, tough, and brave image, accept differences, and are open-minded.

This study aims to see the potential of students in digital literacy transformation entering the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 at the Modern Muhammadiyah Boarding School Sleman Islamic Boarding School, Yogyakarta. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through observation and interviews with 10 students. The results of this study found that students have mastered the technology of digital literacy transformation of students in the potential of mastering digital literacy. This is because Islamic boarding schools still limit the length of time they use technology. Although this pesantren has used modern pesantren. Pesantren leaders must balance religious education with technology so that graduates are not less competitive when they enter tertiary institutions and the world of work. For future researchers, it will be deeper in digging up information and using more samples.

This study aims to describe the model of Muslim personality development that is developed based on in-depth observations of what is practiced by the pesantren community in order to develop the personality of their students. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach in the form of ethnography. Subjects were taken from three Islamic boarding schools in Purwokerto City, namely An-Najah Islamic Boarding School, Darussalam Islamic Boarding School, and ath-Thohiriyah Islamic Boarding School. The results showed that the Muslim personality development model practiced by the pesantren community was based on several principles and values ​​that were understood and practiced by the pesantren community, including scientific enthusiasm, independence, responsibility, simplicity, togetherness, leadership, and sincerity. The process of developing students' personality is done through understanding, exemplary, accustomed to, worshiping, and deepening the values ​​of pesantren. The Muslim personality development model that has been practiced in the pesantren community can be said as an answer to the need for a personality development approach that is appropriate to the religious cultural context of Indonesian society. This model is worth discussing as indigenous personality development, which is a pattern of personality development that is rooted in the values, perspectives, or traditions that exist in a community.

This paper aims to explore an Intensive Course Program in Arabic learning at one of the Islamic Boarding schools for girls in Indonesia. it is expected that Students in this Intensive Course understand two skills in Arabic, namely speaking and reading skills. Also, it aims to identify the strengths and weaknesses of Intensive Course Program. This study utilized a descriptive qualitative approach with three data collection techniques; observation, interviews, and documentation. It used Miles and Huberman’s technique in analyzing the data. This study showed that: 1) Implementation of Intensive Course Program in Arabic learning at the one of Islamic Boarding Schools for girls in Indonesia aimed to improve language skill including reading and deductive skill including speaking. 2) Pertinent to the strengths and weaknesses of the Intensive Course, the learning system is advantagous to enhance other specific skills, ranging from students’ proficiencies in reading and speaking in Arabic. However, there are also drawbacks. For example, an excellent Arabic environment has not been created due to the lack of students’ awareness of making them accustomed to speaking Arabic.

the basic principles of Islamic boarding school education, namely; Al Muhafadhah ala al-qadim al shalih wa al akhdzu bi al jadid al ashlah. This principle has encouraged pesantren to maintain good old Islamic values without denying better changes. This paper intends to explore two sides of the coin for Pondok Persantren where one side is a distinct advantage for but can be a boomerang that hinders the progress of Islamic education based on understanding the basic elements and values of Islamic boarding schools and, then contributing thoughts in building a holistic Islamic boarding school education so that can follow the development of science without losing the obligation to maintain basic values. Holistic pesantren education can only be achieved if it is reaffirmed that the elements of the boarding school education system are not oriented towards learning religious knowledge but how kyai, teachers / ustaz and santri can learn to live in religion.

<div align="center"><table width="645" border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"><tbody><tr><td valign="top" width="439"><p><strong>Abstract:</strong> <em>Berkombur </em>is an activity of communicating both verbally and nonverbally by a group. The purpose of this activity is as a means of socializing, entertainment, increasing friendship, a problem solving and most importantly by inserting humor at each discussion of the theme so that the feeling of saturation and fatigue all day long works away with a happy laugh. This activity is a characteristic of Batubara Melayu culture. The purpose of this study is to describe kinship values in combat activities and obtain construction procedures as an effort to modify students' interpersonal skills. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with a type of dialogue research. The research subject is a student who is an expert in the activity. Coupled with BK teachers, the community, and Malayu humanist. The instrument of data collection uses participant observation and interviews. Data analysis by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that there are eight values in the activity which are grouped into kinship values, and obtaining construction implementation in conducting <em>berkombur</em> activities as an effort to modify interpersonal skills.</p><p class="Abstract"><strong>Abstrak:</strong> <em>Berkombur </em>adalah suatu kegiatan berkomunikasi baik secara verbal maupun nonverbal yang dilakukan suatu kelompok. Tujuan dari aktivitas ini sebagai sarana bersosial, hiburan, meningkatkan silaturahmi, penyelesaian suatu masalah dan menyisipkan humor pada setiap pembahasan tema sehingga rasa jenuh dan letih seharian bekerja hilang dengan tertawa gembira. Aktivitas ini menjadi ciri khas budaya Melayu Batubara. Tujuan dari kajian ini adalah mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai kekerabatan dalam aktivitas <em>berkombur</em> dan memperoleh konstruksi prosedur sebagai upaya modifikasi kecakapan interpersonal siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan tipe riset dialog. Subjek penelitian yaitu seorang siswa yang ahli dengan kegiatan tersebut. Ditambah dengan guru BK, Masyarakat, serta budayawan melayu. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi partisipan dan wawancara. Analsis data dengan cara mereduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan ada delapan nilai di dalam aktivitas tersebut yang dikelompokkan menjadi nilai kekerabatan, serta memperoleh konstruksi pelaksanaan dalam melakukan aktivitas <em>berkombur </em>sebagai upaya modifikasi kecakapan interpersonal.</p></td></tr></tbody></table></div>

AbstractPesantren Nurussalam Ciamis is often associated with the movement of Abu Bakar Ba’asyir who was caught in Banjar in August 2010. Even in 2013, this Islamic boarding school is linked again with the arrest of terrorist Anton whois allegedly an alumnus of Nurussalam Islamic Boarding School. After the bombing of Thamrin on January 14, 2016, Nurussalam Islamic Boarding School is indicated by the National Agency for Combating Terrorism (BNPT) as one of radical Islamic boarding schools. The question is whether Nurussalam Islamic Boarding School is really a source of radicalism. To answer that question, wesee two aspects of Pesantren Nurussalam namely its education method and religious understanding. Through qualitative method, it is found that Pesantren Nurussalam education system generally refers to the national education system plus Islamic education system adopted from Gontor and Ngruki models. The educational system built is not separated from the religious understanding ofthe founders and managers who understand salaf, more precisely salaf puris cooperationis. The objective of the study was to analyze the role of islamic boarding school in preventing radicalism in Rejang Lebong regency. The study used qualitative approach with descriptive method. The data collection was done though interview, documentation and observation. The result showed that in playing the role, islamic boarding school recently became the target of people's distrust: this was the place of radicalism and terrorism. According to the analysis, there was no school found as the place of radicalism and terrorism. Some schools even actively prevent radicalism and terrorism effectively. In conclusion, the role of islamic boarding schools in Rejang Lebong to prevent radicalism and terrorism through the tight control was effective.
