Rubashov — Honored Artist of Ukraine, Member of the National Union of Artists in Ukraine, Associ- ate Professor of the Department of Drawing the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture.Yurii Rubashov was born in Kyiv in 1947. After the end of the RCSU with the name of T. Shevchenko in 1965, he joined KSAI and till 1971 he studied in prominent Ukrainian graphists: V. Kasyana, I. Selivanov, V. Chebanyk.The artist turns to historical subjects and initiates graphic cycle, dedicated to the history of Kiev Rus and the activities of the kings who influenced the historical passing of events of that time.First of this thesis topic was a series of lithographs "Yaroslav the Wise" (1971), later — a series of graphic com- positions "Kiev Rus" (1979), a series of colored prints "Prince of Kiev", "Princess Olga, Svyatoslav, Vladimir, and Yaroslav the Wise (1992).The artist shows the greatest creative interest in landscape painting (cycles "On the Spain" (1982), "On the Sweden" (1985), "On the Jordan" (1983), "On the Armenia" (1983), "Roads of the Ukraine" (1996) and still life (Sweden Series, 2012–2013).It can be argued that Yu. Rubashov’s works absorbed the lyrics of landscapes with characteristic features of both southern and northern colors, and his still life is characterized by precise organization, a variety of styl- ized forms, which show confidence in the possession of the material and a balanced sense of compositional harmony. In the process of forming the author’s technique, he chooses the path of innovation and experiment, which in turn causes a peculiar interpretation of different technical means — a combination of materials and technologies of different nature. The artist exploits and applies multicolored pigments, oil pastels, watercolors and acrylic paints and the like, mixing everything with different solvents, which gives the opportunity to original express and crystallize a peculiar, author’s style.Drawing on the foundations of academic education, the artist experiments, seeks creative ideas and success- fully incorporates contemporary artistic problems into new imaginative solutions. This is a valuable example of growing skill and formation creative personality.In 2000 and 2015 he received first-degree diplomas All-Ukrainian Triennial of Graphic Arts, in 2012 — Di- ploma of the third stage of the exhibition-competition named G.Yakutovich.Yu. Rubashov fruitfully combines creative work with teaching. In the process of teaching his students, Yu. Rubashov not only lays the foundations of academic drawing, but also encourages to analyze creative material, to study and master the various drawing techniques and opportunities inherent in them.In the general process of contemporary search for an art, together with the academic pragmatism of the cur- riculum, the teacher, especially in the first courses of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Restoration, draws attention of the students in different artistic trends, teaches analytical and creative perception of natural objects and consciously approach the transformation of three-dimensional forms on a two-dimensional work plane of a paper sheet. These methodological principles meet the needs of modern times.The stylistic language of his works is recognizable and special. Not dwelling on what he has achieved, he im- parts his experience to the students, demonstrating the inexhaustible possibilities of drawing and the technical means of its implementation, including pastels. The high level of his works makes it possible to claim that Yu. Rubashov is a master of pastels and his contribution to the development of Ukrainian art is indisputable.

V. Bystriakov – Honored Worker of Arts of Ukraine, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, creative work is well-known to the general public, and teaching activity occupies an important place in the work of the department of drawing of the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. In the work of the artist, he combined his own experience and achievements of artists of past generations, it has always been and is open to creative experiments. His creative pursuits and teaching methods are important for understanding the history of artistic education, in particular the teaching of the drawing, since it reflects the main directions and peculiarities of artistic education of the second half of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century. In his work V. Bystriakov determined that the minimum means can be achieved maximum expressiveness, to achieve a strong life experience in the work. His paintings are characterized by ease, transparency, artistry of performance, understanding of the proportion of proportion and composition. Professor V. Bystryakov's pedagogical credo is a responsible attitude to his work, professionalism in any field of occupation – whether it is drawing or painting. The main objective of the teacher in the mandatory requirements of the classical school, he believes, is to enable the student to identify his own creative vision of a task. The main thing is not to «kill» the desire to create. Among students V. Bystriakov a teachers of the academy M. Kochubei, V. Kyrychenko, Yu. Maistrenko-Vakulenko, who already convey their creative experience to students. A special place in the work of V. Bystriakov is dedicated to the Chernobyl tragedy. The tragic event for Ukraine and the world has brought to life a cycle of pictures: «Girlfriends», «When the birds do not sing», «Evacuation», «Bright still life in the dark room», «The cry of Jeremiah», «And the third angel sounded», «Sunflowers», «Spas», and also a series of paintings «And fell on the star of the earth». In each work the cycle has its own language, artistic means, its philosophical interpretation, is subject to the disclosure of the main theme – Chornobyl. V. Bystriakova's creativity characterizes him as a talented master with personal beliefs and views. He does not stay away from the problems of modern life, in particular the ecology of the environment, touches in his works important issues that make us think over the routine of life processes, through the extrapolation of the inner sense and understanding of reality. He inspires reflections on the present in his various spiritual and social aspects. Knows good and evil through the prism of confession of the soul. Combining and interweaving the images of fictional illusions and real heroes, generalizes and reproduces the experience gained in his works. The artist's paradigm is based on the principles of symbolism and surrealism. In the principles and approaches of the author to the creation of works can be traced laconic language of poster art. Using various authoring techniques, he reveals to the viewer his tension and a peculiar vision of the world, reflects internal excitement, experiences, painful. The existence in works of the existence, embodied in details and symbols, prompts philosophical reflections on life, the search for truth, comprehension and perception of the viability of nature. V. Bystriakov is an artist and a teacher, who, through a practical component, passes on his experience to students nowadays.

Daniel Schultz (1615–1683) was one of the most important painters of his time, highly regarded among the Polish nobility and patricians of his native city of Gdańsk. Schultz’s game and animal pieces resemble works of Flemish artists. His earliest animal picture Trophies in the Pantry is perhaps most Southern Netherlandish in character. Fred G. Meijer attributed to Schultz a painting on the subject of hunting, bearing the monogram “DS” and dated 1649. Schultz also executed a smaller painting, which is a depiction of a fox (or rather a dog) head shown in profile and a bunch of grapes, with some killed birds. Furthermore, two other animal paintings by Schultz are known from the National Museum in Gdańsk. In 2014, a pair of pendant paintings of dead birds appeared on the art market. Their similarity to the Medicean Trophies led the experts of the Artcurial auction house to ascribe them to Schultz. As one compares them with some other works by the Gdańsk artist, the resemblance is even more pronounced. Both paintings are now in a Polish private collection. In the Museum of Fine Arts in Gent there are two other paintings attributed to Frans Snyders and Jan Fyt which could have been painted by Daniel Schultz. The focus on perfectly studied animals, framing of the composition, and a summary treatment of the background are characteristic of him. The ‘Ds 16__’ monogram bears the painting from the Kuscovo Palace (Moscow), which depicts A Heron, a Bittern and a Rabbit. Schultz was the first artist in the territories associated with the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth to create independent animal and still life paintings. Possibly a pupil of Elias Vonck, the Amsterdam master active in Prussia, Schultz was also influenced by Antwerp masters such as Frans Snyders and Johannes Spruyt. Schultz’s interest for animal themes and still life may have been connected with characteristic features of the culture of Gdańsk, such as, for instance, a penchant for hunting, viewed both as a pastime and a subject for art. Gdańsk citizens enjoyed the right to hunt as of 1588, earlier than any other European bourgeoisie. Most signed works by Schultz are his depictions of animals. Tis could be an indirect suggestion about the identity of the recipients of Schultz’s depictions of the animal world. As stated above, the Gdańsk citizens had a predilection for hunting pieces; they also cared more than courtiers about the fact that such representations were authored by a Gdańsk artist.

Dental surgeons need in-depth knowledge of the bone tissue status and gingival morphology of atrophic maxillae. The aim of this study is to describe preoperative virtual planning of placement of five implants and to compare the plan with the actual surgical results. Three-dimensional planning of rehabilitation using software programs enables surgical guides to be specially designed for the implant site and manufactured using 3D printing. A patient with five teeth missing was selected for this study. The patient’s maxillary region was scanned with CBCT and a cast model was produced. After virtual planning using ImplantViewer, five implants were placed using a printed surgical guide. Two weeks after the surgical procedure, the patient underwent another CBCT scan of the maxilla. Statistically significant differences were detected between the virtually planned positions and the actual positions of the implants, with a mean deviation of 0.36 mm in the cervical region and 0.7 mm in the apical region. The surgical technique used enables more accurate procedures when compared to the conventional technique. Implants can be better positioned, with a high level of predictability, reducing both operating time and patient discomfort.

Пропонуються найбільш ефективні кроки для управлінських структур різних рівнів щодо зміни ставлення як представників керівної ланки, так і місцевого населення щодо різноманітних культурних практик. Акцентується увага на ролі методичних служб галузі у процесі здійснення цієї реформ. Наголошено на використанні досвіду інших країн в активізації місцевого населення у цьому процесі. Здійснено спробу запропонувати ефективні, на думку авторів, рішення у питанні проведення зазначеної реформи. Акцент зроблено на освітній чинник. . Ключові слова: культурні практики, місцеве самоврядування, соціальна активність, заклад вищої освіти, організаційно-культурна діяльність.   On the example of organizational, cultural and artistic activity the practice of holding anniversary art exhibitions of regional artistsOleksandr Harvat (photo art) and the first Head (1991-1998) of the regional department of the National Union of Artists Kostiantyn Lytvyn (fine arts, graphics)is analyzed. The specificity of their creative experience, influence on the cultural environment is considered. The most striking pages of the creative biographiesof each of them and the influence of exhibition activity on the artistic environment of the region are revealed. The importance of continuing to preserve the culturalheritage of regional artists in order to position Ukraine in the cultural space of the world is emphasized. The nodes and links in urban networks are usually presented in a two-dimensional(2D) view. The co-occurrence of nodes and links can also be realized from a three-dimensional(3D) perspective to make the characteristics of urban network more intuitively revealed. Our result shows that the external connections of high-level cities are mainly affected by the level of cities(nodes) and less affected by geographical distance, while medium-level cities are affected by the interaction of the level of cities(nodes) and geographical distance. The external connections of low-level cities are greatly restricted by geographical distance.

Abstract The concept of mapping a three dimensional (3D) contouring cutter path with major motion in a plane parallel to the Z axis onto the X-Y plane or one perpendicular to the Z axis is introduced. A systematic method is developed that can be used to program, in APT or other high-level languages, complex contouring cutter motion based on the concept introduced. As a result, NC programming of contouring motion for many complex engineering parts on a 3-axis numerically controlled (NC) milling machine, which is often considered difficult, can be greatly simplified. Part examples are discussed; and the APT programs defining the cutter path based on the 3D-to-2D mapping concept, are also analyzed in detail. The concept and method introduced proved to be a powerful tool for programming the NC machining process for many parts, particularly dies and molds.

This research paper explores the possibilities for virtual reality (VR) documentation of media art installations. Based on an analysis of the characteristics of media art, and a survey of current documentation strategies, this paper investigates the viability of three-dimensional documentation. Four cross-disciplinary case studies are presented and analysed to demonstrate that VR documentation provides an immersive and richer reconstruction of a media art installation in three dimensions. In addition, the interactive components can be simulated within the VR environment, offering the possibility for curators and visitors to virtually re-experience the artwork. The case studies show that, although the creation of VR documentation can be costly and time-consuming, and currently requires a high-level of expertise, it can be a useful addition to established documentation strategies by providing essential information about the visual aspects of the artwork, its environment and the user’s multi-sensory experience.

Abstract. On board the four Cluster spacecraft, the Cluster Ion Spectrometry (CIS) experiment measures the full, three-dimensional ion distribution of the major magnetospheric ions (H+, He+, He++, and O+) from the thermal energies to about 40 keV/e. The experiment consists of two different instruments: a COmposition and DIstribution Function analyser (CIS1/CODIF), giving the mass per charge composition with medium (22.5°) angular resolution, and a Hot Ion Analyser (CIS2/HIA), which does not offer mass resolution but has a better angular resolution (5.6°) that is adequate for ion beam and solar wind measurements. Each analyser has two different sensitivities in order to increase the dynamic range. First tests of the instruments (commissioning activities) were achieved from early September 2000 to mid January 2001, and the operation phase began on 1 February 2001. In this paper, first results of the CIS instruments are presented showing the high level performances and capabilities of the instruments. Good examples of data were obtained in the central plasma sheet, magnetopause crossings, magnetosheath, solar wind and cusp measurements. Observations in the auroral regions could also be obtained with the Cluster spacecraft at radial distances of 4–6 Earth radii. These results show the tremendous interest of multispacecraft measurements with identical instruments and open a new area in magnetospheric and solar wind-magnetosphere interaction physics.Key words.
