Extracurricular activities have an important role in the process of strengthening the religious character of students. Students who have religious values will show good behavior towards Allah SWT, fellow humans, themselves and their surroundings. For the success of strengthening religious character, coaches of extracurricular activities are expected to be able to instill religious values. Therefore, in the implementation of extracurricular activities there is a strengthening of the religious character of students. In this study using a descriptive method by taking place at the Islamic Center Junior High School in Tangerang City. The informants in this study were the deputy principal, extracurricular coaches, and students of the Islamic Center Junior High School in Tangerang City. The data were collected by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study explain that the Implementation of Extracurricular Activities in Strengthening the Religious Character of Students at the Islamic Center Junior High School in Tangerang City 2020, namely the existence of a program of habituation of noble, spiritual and marawis morals. Extracurricular activities are carried out regularly and once a week. Strengthening the religious character of students at the Islamic Center Junior High School in Tangerang City is carried out by exemplary, learning, empowering and cultivating, praise and assessment.

The results  of this  research indicate  that the Principal Strategies In The Development  Of Positioning at Junior High School of Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Jombang concentrating on Efforts such as the structured implementation of integrated curriculum, program execution, the flagship, Extracurricular activities that emphasizes education character, student achievement and promotional activities. The impact of the implementation strategy of development of the principal positioning at Junior High  School  Muhammadiyah  Boarding  School  (MBS)  Jombang  made  teachers  service  quality  and employees be good, increasing the interest and the trust of the community, the formation of good character in students, and the number of institutions study appeal. Implementation of the development strategy of positioning is supported by a number of factors, Including: educators who meet the qualification standards of the education quality, quality of education services are good, school is worth written, media promotion and quality students who are good. And has some restricting factors include: infrastructure, not to the existence of a special promotion team, intense competition, a community mindset growing niche to choose schools, and less strategic geographical location.

Penelitian ini membahas kemampuan guru bahasa Sunda di SMP Piloting Project Kurikulum 2013 dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan dan menilai kemampuan mendongeng berdasarkan Kurikulum 2013 pada tahun pelajaran 2015-2016. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah (1) perkembangan Kurikulum 2013 yang sangat dinamis dan; (2) pedoman pelaksanaannya yang terus berubah, sehingga muncul pertanyaan apakah perubahan ini sampai kepada guru bahasa Sunda. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kemampuan guru dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan, dan menilai pembelajaran khususnya materi dongeng berdasarkan Kurikulum 2013. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Populasi sekaligus sampel penelitian ini adalah guru bahasa Sunda kelas VII, dengan teknik observasi dan study dokumenter. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) guru bahasa Sunda mampu merencanakan pengajaran dongeng berdasarkan Kurikulum 2013; (2) dalam proses pembelajarannya perlu ditingkatkan dan; (3) guru bahasa Sunda mampu menilai pengajaran dongeng berdasarkan Kurikulum 2013. ABSTRACTThis article discusses the ability of Sundanese teachers in junior high school Piloting Project Curriculum 2013 in planning, implementing, and assessing the ability of storytelling based on Curriculum 2013 in the academic year 2015-2016. The backgrounds of this study were (1) the development of Curriculum 2013, which is very dynamic and; (2) the implementation guidance that is constantly changing, so the question arises whether this change reaches the teachers. The purpose of this study is to determine the ability of teachers to plan, implement, and assess fairytale learning materials based on curriculum 2013. This research employed descriptive method with qualitative approach. The population and sample is Sundanese language teacher of Grade VII. It used observation and documentary study. The instrument was the observation sheet. The conclusion of this study are that (1) the Sundanese teacher is able to plan teaching fairytale based on Curriculum 2013; (2) the learning process needs to be improved; and (3) the Sundanese teacher is able to assess fairytale learning based on the Curriculum 2013.

One of the fundamental strategies in attempts to develop athletic sports in Surabaya was to conduct special training through athletic extracurricular activities in schools, hence it was the starting point for the discovery of potential athletes. The purpose of this study was to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and Threat from athletic extracurricular management which included Planning, Organizing, Implementing and Supervising which was conducted by Dr. Soetomo and Jalan Jawa Junior High School in Surabaya. The approach used in this study was a qualitative approach and the type of evaluative research (Evaluation Research) used descriptive methods. The evaluation design used in this study was the SWOT Analysis. The results and conclusions of this study indicated that the athletic extracurricular management at Dr Soetomo Junior High School; The Planning was already a good program, The Organizing used the organizational structure and cooperation which already existed so the working mechanism was clear of its functions and parts, The Actuating contained the schedule of activities, the attendance of students and the coaches are well-monitored by the extracurricular coordinator, The Controlling implemented a routine evaluation that carried out at the end of the school year, but for the achievements have not been as the expectation. On the other hand, Jalan Jawa Junior High School implemented the management as; The Planning of this school did not have a good program, The Organizing included the involved cooperation of leaders, teachers and parents of students was very good, The Actuating related to the exercise did not run well, The Oversight represented almost every championship in Surabaya, Jalan Jawa Junior High School got good marks. The researchers have conducted more in-depth analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and Threat of athletic extracurricular management which included Planning, Organizing, Implementing and Supervising which was conducted by Dr Soetomo and Jalan Jawa Junior High School in Surabaya, furthermore resulting some recommendations for Dr. Soetomo and Jalan Jawa Junior High School.

Grammar is one of the most difficult capabilities found in English. Grammar difficulty will affect other English skills such as reading, speaking, listening, and writing. Tenses belong to one part of grammar. Most students still struggle to use tenses well. Tenses contained in this grammar material need to be studied so that students can distinguish the time of conversation and the meaning of a sentence and how to make a sentence in accordance with the tenses that have been studied. This research was designed in the form of qualitative research, especially in descriptive method. It meant that the researcher would like to investigate the use of tenses (especially past, present, future, continous, and present perfect) and to identify the grammatical errors in using tense (especially past, present, future, continous,  and present perfect) in students junior high school of seventh grade with close task.

The purpose of this study is to describe the kind of grammatical and lexical cohesion that used in education articles written by Syarifudin Yunus. The method that used in this study is qualitative descriptive method. Data source that used in this study are 24 education articles written by Syarifudin Yunus at Kompasiana.com web page in 2019 until 2020 year range. Technic that used in this study is basic technique of agih method or also called the BUL technique (For Direct Elements). The results of this study showed that there are four aspects of grammatical cohesions. The finding percentage of grammatical cohesion of this study are 54.4% conjunctions aspect, 35.4% references aspect, 6.1% substitutions aspect, and 4.1% ellipsis aspect. Besides, there are six lexical cohesion that found in this study. The percentage of lexical cohesions in this study are 63.5% repetition aspects, 14% equivalency aspects, 8.8% collocation aspects, 7.2% synonym aspects, 3.8% hyponyim aspects, and 2.7% antonym aspects. This study can be implicated for Indonesian language learning at junior high school and senior high school.Keywords: Grammatical cohesion; lexical cohesion; discourse.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of Principal Leadership (KS), namely leadership as educator, leadership as manager, leadership as administrator, leadership as supervisor, leadership as leader, leadership as innovator, leadership as motivator (EMASLIM) on the teaching climate. The methodology used in this research is descriptive method, documentation study method, and path analysis technique. The results of the study concluded that 1) The leadership of the principal at the Cirebon Plot 2 Middle School was considered very good; This shows that principals are able to carry out their duties as Educators, Managers, Administrators, Supervisors, Leaders, Innovators, Motivators; (2) the teaching climate at the Cirebon Plot 2 Junior High School is considered very good. This shows that the principal is able to create an effective, efficient and conducive teaching climate.

This preliminary study aims to analyze the mastery of mathematical communication skills of class VIII students in junior high school in Bandung regency of triangular and rectangular flat building material. In this preliminary study, the research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with 5 students of class VIII as a sample and research instruments used are 5 items about the instrument of mathematical communication ability. Based on the observations made on 5 students it is found that mastery of mathematical communication skills owned by grade VIII students in one junior high school in Bandung Regency is still relatively low.

<p class="17">Teaching students tolerance values play an important role to give them knowledge about how to live together in harmony, respect others, avoid potential conflicts and so on. This study is aimed at analyzing tolerance values representation in the 1<sup>st</sup> grade of Junior High School EFL Textbook published by Indonesian Ministry for Education and Culture (Kemendikbud). There are 4 kinds of tolerance values were analyzed; peace maker, cultural diversity, democracy and religious values. Qualitative content analysis was used to analyze tolerance values representation in the texts, illustrations, instructions, and exercises of the textbooks. The research shows that the textbook covers 72 tolerance values; 24 peace maker, 19 cultural diversity, 15 democracy, and 14 religious values. However, the textbook needs deeper exploration about the values to help students get vivid points of view about tolerance by giving them more real-life samples, and discussions.<strong></strong></p>
