The extant literature regarding the effects of housing on stock investment shows inconsistent findings, either positive or negative effects have been reported. This paper investigates the mechanisms by which housing affects household stock investment through a structure equation model (SEM). Applying the data from the China Household Finance Survey (CHFS), we confirm and quantify the magnitudes of contemporaneous “wealth effects” and “crowd-out effects” of housing on household equity investment. Overall, the combined effect of housing on stock investment is positive in the context of urban China.

[ACCESS RESTRICTED TO THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI AT AUTHOR'S REQUEST.] The debate about boundaries in journalism amid the rise of citizen journalism, the crisis of business models in the news industry and the use of social media in the news-gathering and dissemination process, has become a central focus in the media industry and academia. There is no doubt that the digital transition is a trend. Based on the Carlson's (2015) boundaries of journalism theory and Shoemaker and Vos' (2009) levels of analysis in the gatekeeping theory, administering a cross-sectional, self-administered questionnaire, national online survey (N=1063), conducting a Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis, the study seeks to find out the relationships between socialization and perceptions of digital impact on journalism, journalists and news organizations. The findings showed news organizations' social media culture affects journalists' use of social media. Twitter interactivity mediates journalists' social media internalization and their attitude toward social media. However, this mediating effects does not apply to Facebook and other social media interactivity. The distinguishing line between reporters and editors is blurring in news organizations. Older journalists (age>40) are picking up social media as additional journalistic tools and developing a positive attitude toward them. However, there still may be a long way to go before old journalists become experts in social media.

High company performance can be achieved if all elements in the company are well integrated, and are able to carry out their roles according to the needs of employees. The purpose of this study is to analyze and determine (1) competence, (2) work motivation, (3) employee performance, and (4) the effect of competence and work motivation on employee performance. This type of research is descriptive and verification using explanatory survey research methods, and to test the hypotheses of this research will be analyzed using a structural equation model (Structural Equation Model, SEM) with the Partial Least Square (PLS) alternative method using SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results of testing the first hypothesis show that there is a significant correlation between competence and work motivation at the Ariyanti Education Foundation. The results of the second hypothesis show that competence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Ariyanti Education Foundation. The third hypothesis shows that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Ariyanti Education Foundation. The fourth hypothesis shows that competence and work motivation together have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Ariyanti Education Foundation. So it is clear that competence, work motivation and employee performance are interrelated. This must be considered because there is a mutually influencing relationship between the three. So that the development of competence and good work motivation will be able to improve the performance of these employees.

Abstract- The research objectives were to determine: 1) The description of performance, organizational culture, education and training, competence and work motivation of Indonesian National Police members at the Traffic Directorate of East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police; 2) The influence of organizational culture, education and training, competence and work motivation on the performance of Police members at the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Traffic Directorate. The study was conducted on all members of the East Nusa Tenggara Police Traffic Directorate with 145 respondents. The data collected were analyzed descriptively based on the results of processed data using the method of Structural Equation Model. The results of descriptive analysis showed that the achievement of the indicators for each variable is as follows: Performance = 67.68 (Good Enough), Organizational Culture = 68.84 (Good), Competence = 67.93 (Good Enough), Education and Training = 67.45 (Good Enough), and Work Motivation = 68.55 (Good). Furthermore, the results of SEM analysis showed that Organizational Culture, Education and Training, Competence and Work Motivation had a positive and significant effect on the Performance of the investigated Police Members. This research is still limited to the 4 variables used so that testing is needed on other variables such as; leadership style, compensation, work atmosphere, work facilities and others with job satisfaction as an intervening variable. Keywords: Performance; Organizational Culture; Education and Training; Competence; Work Motivation

This study aimed to empirically prove the influence of the number and education level of managers, supervisory boards, Sharia Supervisory Board (SSB) and the attendance of Baitul Maal wat Tamwil (BMT) members (owners) in annual member meeting towards on profitability (ROA and ROE), and social performance (zakat performance). The research sample was BMT in Semarang Regency selected by purposive sampling method with an observation period from 2013 to 2017. Data analysis used the Structure Equation Model with the WarpPLS tool. The results showed that the number and education level of managers did not influence financial performance. The education level of the supervisory board had a significant influence on financial and social performance. The number and the education level of SSB changed financial performance, but the education level of SSB did not affect social performance. The Attendance of BMT members at the annual member meeting did not have a significant influence on BMT's financial and social performance improvement. These results indicated the minimal role of members in evaluating BMT performance, both profitability and social performance.

This study was intended to analyze the effect of supervisor support and job autonomy on the intention to stay. This study also examines the effect of psychological empowerment on the intention to stay. The sampling method used was non- probability sampling with the samples of female nurses in all hospitals in the Sragen Regency. The analysis used the Structural Equation Model (SEM) Software using AMOS 22 to test and estimate the causal relationship of a combination of statistical data and qualitative causal assumption data. The results of the SEM analysis of 187 respondents showed that there was a significant effect of psychological empowerment on supervisor support and intention to stay. However, psychological empowerment cannot bridge the effect of job autonomy and the intention to stay. Furthermore, this study also shows that variable of the supervisor support is the most significant variable in affecting psychological empowerment compared to job autonomy. Thus, the best strategy in increasing the desire of employees to stay in the company is to increase supervisor support and psychological empowerment.

This study aims to determine the effect of literacy variables on zakat, infaq and shadaqah (zis), trust and brand awareness on decisions to distribute zakat and donations. The data processing in this study uses quantitative analysis using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis technique with the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach using the SmartPLS 3.0 statistical software. The instrument used to obtain data is a questionnaire using a Likert scale. In taking the sample obtained by non-probability sampling method using purposive sampling technique, the sample obtained is 95 respondents at the students of the Faculty of Islamic Religion, Ibn Khaldun University, Bogor. The results of this study indicate that the literacy variable zis has a negative and insignificant effect on the decision to distribute zakat and donations through Tokopedia. The trust variable has a positive and significant effect on the decision to distribute zakat and donations through Tokopedia. The Brand Awareness variable has a positive but not significant effect on the decision to distribute zakat and donations through Tokopedia. Variable literacy zis, trust, brand awareness simultaneously influence the decision to distribute zakat and donations by 66.4%. While the remaining 33.6% is explained by other exogenous variables outside of this study. Keywords: Brand Awareness, Trust, Decision to Distribute Zakat and Donations, Literacy ZIS
