Prosthesis treatment requires the close interaction of different actors. In fitting prostheses to patients, special attention is given to the manufacturing of the socket. The continuous development of the technologies involved in the fitting and optimization of prostheses is shown in the literature. The assessment of orthopedic technicians and their influence in the process is thus far largely unexplored. Ten orthopedic technicians were interviewed about the socket fitting process after transfemoral amputation. The research goal was to clarify the socket treatment process with regards to the German context. The results showed that the orthopedic technicians focussing on the patient during the fitting process. This study underlines the importance of interaction and empathy. Volume fluctuations are decisive within the treatment process and are interactively influenced by various factors. Furthermore, the research emphasizes the need for appropriate assistive technologies and the potential for the further development of existing systems.

The purpose of this paper was to better understand the current practice of arts therapy in educational institutions in the Czech Republic comparing it to that in health-care institutions and other working environments. The research goal was to analyze the prevalence of the different fields of arts therapy, the main difficulties of clients, the therapeutic forms, the ways of interdisciplinary cooperation, and the groups of therapists (according to their age and duration of practice). The data collected from the first national survey using “The Practice of Arts Therapies” questionnaire were analyzed with descriptive and inductive statistics (Chi-square test). The 142 respondents who participated in the study were contacted mainly through professional associations. The significant characteristics of arts therapies in educational environments are linked to the diffusion of the respective arts therapy fields (music therapy being the most prevalent), the main difficulties of pupils (learning difficulties/multiple disabilities or no obvious problems), and to the length of practice of the respondents. The results can be used for the creation of a research-based map of Czech arts therapies in educational institutions and for further development of this area.

New technologies are evolving rapidly, while customer requirements are becoming more volatile and less predictable. These VUCA conditions require developers and development processes to be increasingly responsive and adaptive. The Procedure Model for Agile Further Development (PM4AFD) is an agile approach for further developing products using Minimum Viable Product Increments (MVPIs).

In the current crisis the development of domestic tourism is very important. Further promotion of ethno tourism may be a promising and popular trend in the domestic market of tourist services of the regions. In the study, the author exam- ined the characteristics of nature, history, culture and religion of indigenous peoples of Mari land as the most important factors of tourism development in the region. The article presents the analysis of state of ethno tourism in the Mari El Republic. The author outlines the main directions of its development in the region that dip into the cultural environment: ethnographic museums, hotels and recreational facilities with an ethnic flavor, ethno-villages, and rural guest houses. The expert survey in order to identify the prospects for the development of ethno tourism in Mari El has been conducted. The contradictions in the law, inadequate infrastructure in the country, weak advertising campaign to attract tourists to the region, sometimes a lack of interest of local authorities in the development of tourism are the main difficulties in the ethno tourism development. The author suggests ways of further development of ethno tourism in Mari El. It is neces- sary to develop a targeted program for the development of tourism in t Mari El, with an emphasis on ethno tourism.

During the last 25 years, a great number of submarine pipelines have been built in Scandinavia. They are all a result of intensive activity in the field of environmental control, the consequence of which has often been that the last purification step in the wastewater treatment process has been considered to be the dilution of the residual waste into the ocean. Efforts have been made to develop a new piping technology which would allow great depths and points situated far off-shore to be reached, where the risk of problems due to floatable materials flowing back to the shore is insignificant. It has been regarded as especially essential to find a technique which would enable a cheap and rapid procedure for pipe submersion even far off-shore and in heavy sea conditions. The reason for this is that a major proportion of the cost of a submarine pipeline relates to submersion work. Additional requirements were that the pipe material should withstand sudden and even exceptional wave forces and also permit uneven settlements as well as movement of sediment on the sea bed. Thus, the aim has been to develop a highly flexible pipe. The paper presents the state of the art by referring to a submarine outfall project implemented in Sweden 1985. Some need for further development is also discussed.

At present, we have all the necessary elements to be able to claim that "Dobrogea Economics School in Constanta" really exists in the Romanian and European academic landscape. Among these elements, we take into account those related to tradition, university education programs, valuable teaching staff, material basis, results / scientific visibility, etc. This article provides an approach to the establishment and further development of the Faculty of Economics at "Ovidius" University of Constanta. The continuous development of the collaboration relations with other universities - Romanian and foreign -, with governmental or private institutions, with the business environment, etc. confirms that today there is a Dobrogean School of Economics and, moreover, it has all the chances to last forever.

Ceramics, such as Al2O3 and SiC have numerous current and potential uses in applications where high temperature strength, hardness, and wear resistance are required often in corrosive environments. These materials are, however, highly anisotropic and brittle, so that their mechanical behavior is often unpredictable. The further development of these materials will require a better understanding of the basic mechanisms controlling deformation, wear, and fracture. The purpose of this talk is to describe applications of TEM to the study of the deformation, wear, and fracture of Al2O3. Similar studies are currently being conducted on SiC and the techniques involved should be applicable to a wide range of hard, brittle materials.

The issue of strong flux pinning is crucial to the further development of high critical current density Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O (BSCCO) superconductors in conductor-like applications, yet the pinning mechanisms are still much debated. Anomalous peaks in the M-H (magnetization vs. magnetic field) loops are commonly observed in Bi2Sr2CaCu2Oy (Bi-2212) single crystals. Oxygen vacancies may be effective flux pinning centers in BSCCO, as has been found in YBCO. However, it has also been proposed that basal-plane dislocation networks also act as effective pinning centers. Yang et al. proposed that the characteristic scale of the basal-plane dislocation networksmay strongly depend on oxygen content and the anomalous peak in the M-H loop at ˜20-30K may be due tothe flux pinning of decoupled two-dimensional pancake vortices by the dislocation networks. In light of this, we have performed an insitu observation on the dislocation networks precisely at the same region before and after annealing in air, vacuumand oxygen, in order to verify whether the dislocation networks change with varying oxygen content Inall cases, we have not found any noticeable changes in dislocation structure, regardless of the drastic changes in Tc and the anomalous magnetization. Therefore, it does not appear that the anomalous peak in the M-H loops is controlled by the basal-plane dislocation networks.
