The author analyzes the category of viability as a structural element of social adaptation of patients who underwent revisional hip replacement. Considering the process of postoperative rehabilitation, the author focuses on viability as an individual characteristic of patients, which determines the effectiveness of physical recovery and social adaptation after hip replacement. The article observes the results of an empirical study conducted on the basis of Saratov Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of Minzdrav of Russia, aimed at studying the criteria of viability and social viability of adaptation and social adaptation.

Abstract Years of research at the S. V. Lebedev All-Union Scientific Research Institute for Synthetic Rubber have provided industry with a number of methods for making synthetic rubber from isoprene. Of all the known synthetic rubbers this comes closest to natural rubber in structure and properties; it is the best available substitute of natural rubber, possessing a high degree of elasticity and strength. The present article is a brief summary of the basic work on isoprene rubber done by the Scientific Research Institute of the Tire Industry. On the basis of this work recommendations were made for the development of the production of synthetic isoprene rubber and the substitution of isoprene rubber for natural rubber in the manufacture of heavy duty truck tires. By using different polymerization processes it is possible to produce isoprene rubbers whose chain structures are very similar, but whose molecular weights, and therefore physical and technological properties, are very different. The cis structure of the 1,4 polyisoprene chains is the basic structural element of the new isoprene polymer. Therefore these synthetic isoprene rubbers (SKI) obtained through catalytic polymerization when vulcanized show a crystalline structure when x-rayed in the stretched state. The x-ray photographs also show that the geometric distribution of interference spots in SKI rubbers corresponds to the distribution of interference spots in natural rubber, but that the relative intensities of the crystalline, liquid, and amorphous scatterings in the two rubbers are different (Figure 1).

The article presents an analysis of the results of an empirical study aimed at studying the ability to detect contradictions by younger students and the role of frustration and creativity in this process. Two groups of school children took part in the study: from a specialized English school that were identified as linguistically gifted (27 people, Rostov-on-Don), and from a municipal comprehensive school (27 people, Novocherkassk). In the study the following methods were used: V.E. Klochko aimed at determining the ability to detect contradictions, a brief test of creativity of E.P. Torrens and a children’s version of the Rosenzweig technique. The study obtained results demonstrating among linguistically gifted elementary school students: higher results in the development of the ability to detect contradictions, as well as the presence of pronounced differences in the development of measures of individual adaptation to their social environment (OSK), the dominance of self-protective reactions (ED), impunitive (M) and extrapunitive (E). A correlated interrelation was found between the ability to detect contradictions, originality, directionality of frustration reactions (M), (I) and the degree of social adaptation (GCR).

SummaryThe present study was aimed at assessing the psychopathological manifestations, stress factors, evolution and social adaptation of 29 patients diagnosed with psychogenic paranoid psychosis. This syndrome is seen as an entity in itself, and is closely related to trigger factors; stability in the symptomatology of each relapse; favourable response to treatment; tendency to relapse, and recovery of the previous level of functioning.

In this article, we present a case report of a 62-year-old patient who previously underwent an above-the-knee amputation for vascular disease and we performed a total hip replacement on him because of hip osteoarthritis. As the only postoperative complication, the patient developed a methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus surgical site infection, which was successfully treated. The surgical technique and the postoperative rehabilitation program are described in detail in an attempt to detect and face the challenges that patients with major lower limb amputations may present. The literature is reviewed and all known cases of hip replacements in amputees are presented.

Psychological culture affects the productivity of personal development, communication of the personality, its social adaptation, is manifested in the characteristics of thinking and attitude to life. The study of the problems of psychological culture is a new direction in psychological science. Questions related to the study of the characteristics of the psychological culture of the leaders of the territorial internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation have not been studied. The psychological culture of the head of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation acts as a psychological characteristic of a person, which allows providing optimal conditions for the successful implementation of leadership functions. In the framework of empirical studies of psychological culture, one-sidedness of their orientation is ascertained. Empirical studies of the characteristics of the psychological culture of the heads of territorial internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation have not been conducted. To study the characteristics of the psychological culture of the leaders of the territorial internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation, the Methodology “Psychological Culture of Personality” was used by O.I. Motkova. The empirical study involved 100 respondents - heads of territorial internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation. Based on the results of an empirical study, it was concluded that the leaders of the territorial internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation need specially organized measures to develop a psychological culture on the part of departmental psychologists, especially at the beginning of their service as a leader, which will certainly contribute the success of their professional activities.
