The aim of the study the influence of the personal characteristics of a nurse on professional suitability (readiness) to work in a pediatric hospital. The results of the study allow us to assert that the professional suitability of a nurse is influenced by a number of characterological abilities, including such as moral normativity, neuropsychic stability, adaptive abilities, and communication skills. Conclusion. When hiring, a psychodiagnostic examination should be carried out to study the characterological characteristics of future employees, which will reduce the turnover of personnel in pediatric departments. Taking into account the psychological characteristics that affect the professional suitability to work in the pediatric department, it is possible not only to select the most psychologically ready staff, but also to prevent the development of professional deformations and burnout syndrome in employees.

В статье рассматривается роль руководителя при общении с подчиненными как один из факторов, детерминирующих возникновение синдрома эмоционального выгорания. Анализируются концептуальные подходы к изучению синдрома эмоционального выгорания. Недостаточная осведомленность руководителя о синдроме и его симптомах снижает эффективность бизнес-процессов. Вместе с тем информированность о проявлениях эмоционального выгорания помогает руководителю правильно выстроить коммуникативный процесс в организации, что способствует не только налаживанию благоприятного климата в коллективе, но и развитию организации. Данные выводы экспериментально подтверждены на примере исследования, проведенного среди провизоров и руководителей аптечной сети. The article focuses on the employers’ contribution to their employees’ emotional exhaustion. It analyzes conceptual approaches to the investigation of burnout syndrome. Employers’ lack of awareness of burnout and its symptoms decreases the efficiency of business processes. Employers’ awareness of burnout symptoms ensures efficient employer-employee interaction, which helps improve psychological climate and ensures company development. The conclusions have been tested on pharmacists and heads of pharmacy networks.

The Neuroscience considers that the most resilient people maintain greater emotional balance in stress situations, which allows them to better withstand the pressure and, consequently, to experience a greater sense of control and ability to cope with difficult situations. The aim of the cross-sectional study is to analyze the preventive effect of resilience on burnout perceived by Secondary Education teachers. The sample is constituted by 334 teachers of the Province of Huesca. The data collection instruments used are: a) to measure burnout, the adaptation to Spanish (MBI-GS) of Salanova, Schaufeli, Llorens, Peiró, and Grau (2000) and b) resilience is assessed using the CD Resilience Scale. -RISC (Connor and Davidson, 2003). The correlational and factorial analysis of the information collected yields results that confirm that the personal characteristics and the resilience of the person act as preventive variables against the self-perception of symptoms of chronic stress, typical of the burnout syndrome.

The article presents the research on personal qualities and characteristics of rescuers manifesting signs of professional estrangement. In extreme and extraordinary conditions, in particular, during fires and natural disasters, the requirements for certain personal characteristics of rescuers are significantly increased. That is, professional activity in special conditions significantly affects such professionals: on the one hand, personal development is promoted, and on the other hand, personal qualities can be deformed, therefore, it is necessary to determine specialists whose psychological characteristics do not corresponds the requirements of their work, or to re-allocate them for workplaces with taking into account their individual psychological peculiarities. The obtained results suggest that personal qualities of rescuers identifying themselves with their profession and rescuers with signs of professional estrangement are significantly different. Professionals with a high level of professional identification are characterized as decent and courteous in relations at work and out-of-work. They usually respond adequately to criticism or remarks, and behave on the base of their own emotions and ambitions at conflict situations. Specialists manifesting professional estrangement are often characterized as depressed individuals, dissatisfied with their position or the state of affairs at their work; so they often show ineffectiveness, indecision, and inconsistency in their actions during assignment implementations. Such specialists are characterized by their colleagues as conflict, irresponsible, stubborn and undisciplined people. They can respond inadequately on criticisms or comments. In general, the professional work for them is too difficult and leads to excessive mental stress, rapid fatigue, a feeling of impotence and exhaustion.

BackgroundBurnout is a state of mental and physical exhaustion related to work. It is manifested in a variety of professions and is prevalent in contexts in which health professionals are required to interact directly with the public.ObjectivesTo estimate the burnout syndrome (BOS) prevalence and to identify its associated factors among medical residents.MethodsA descriptive and analytic study conducted during a period from 2012 until 2014, including 184 residents exerting at the two university hospitals of Sfax, Tunisia. Data collection was conducted using an anonymous self-questionnaire, including demographic items and working conditions items. Maslach Burn-out Inventory (MBI) was used to assess BOS.ResultsThe average age was 25.14 ± 1.47 years. The sex-ratio was 0.65. The majority (154 residents) was single. Over than half (58.2%) of medical residents endure a high emotional exhaustion, 62.5% a high depersonalisation and 12.5% a low personal accomplishment. About eighty percent (79.3%) of them were in burn out with 37% at intermediate and 11.3% at a severe degree. No statistical association was found between the personal characteristics and BOS. Whereas, several factors related to employment status were correlated with the presence of BOS such us: number of working hours > 30 h/week, a number of free weekends < 2/month and a number of days off ≤ 30 days/year. In addition, we found that psychotropic and alcohol consumption were significantly associated to BOS with respectively P = 0.050 and P = 0.002.ConclusionBurnout is a worrying reality among young doctors. A prerequisite for the occurrence of physicians’ burnout syndrome may be their professional activity, which acts as a professional affiliation in the context of their whole life activity. The personal factor of physician manifests itself in that how consciously professional activity are carried out including a whole life taking into account individual characteristics, personal goals and objectives outlined in a time perspective. Personal characteristics associated with the manifestations of emotional burnout syndrome: anxiety, introversion, spontaneity, rigidity have been identified in physicians of clinical bases of the Urals and Siberia. We revealed the prevalence of symptoms indicating emotional burnout: the experience of psycho-traumatic circumstances, the expansion of the sphere of saving emotions, psychosomatic and psycho-vegetative disorders. Diagnostic method of emotional burnout level allowed us to diagnose the leading symptoms of emotional burnout and determine which phase of the syndrome development they are related to «tension», «resistance» or «exhaustion». The article focuses on identifying and describing some aspects of the psychological characteristics of the relationship between personality resilience and the subjective feeling of loneliness in adolescence. Resilience is understood as a person’s ability to adapt and be effective, to function successfully despite the influence of any external factors, to survive and develop. Resilience is presented as the ability to recover from setbacks, to rely on the gained life experience for your personal growth and self-realization. An empirical study has shown that there is a strong inverse statistically significant relationship between the phenomenon of vitality and the subjective feeling of loneliness in adolescents. The experimental (correctional and developmental) work carried out was effective, as it influenced the development of the participants’ resilience. The emphasis in correctional and developmental work was placed on the discovery and activation of the development of resources for self-care, a positive self-concept, positive self-attitude, forward thinking, and the ability for long-term planning, the ability to cope, reflexive and communication skills and abilities, the ability to establish and develop connections with other people. The experimental work can be considered quite effective, since, according to the research participants, they began to cope with the negative aspects of loneliness, difficult life situations, became more positive and stable better.
