Development chiseling of soil-cultivating tools and their theoretical substantiation

When performing various technological operations in crop production, the working bodies of tillage equipment in contact with the soil wear out under the influence of an abrasive environment. (Research purpose) The research purpose is in theoretical substantiation for a method for quantifying the wear capacity of soils with different abrasive characteristics. (Materials and methods) The article presents the evaluation of the abrasive ability of the soil by the wear of a steel rod vertically immersed in the soil and moving translationally. Authors used the standard rod of steel St0; geometric parameters of the worn rod are diameter d = 25-30 millimeters, height h = 250 millimeters; dynamic characteristics during the test are moving speed V = 3 kilometers per hour, distance of movement L = 100 meters. The worn rod sinks to a certain depth, moves in the soil at a constant speed. A device was used to determine the abrasive characteristics of the soil. (Results and discussion) The numerical characteristic of the wear capacity of the soil was determined as the physical value of the wear of the standard worn rod when moving in the soil as A=Q/L, grams per meter. The lower the value of this ratio, the less abrasive components are in the soil; based on the wear data of a standard rod, it is possible to obtain a characteristic of the wear capacity of various soils. (Conclusions) The proposed method allows us to determine the abrasive and wear characteristics of various types of soils. The results of the study make it possible to install working bodies on tillage machines in accordance with the type and wear capacity of the soil in which they will work, which will reduce the cost of their manufacture and increase the efficiency of the use of equipment.

Screw conveyors are widely used in various sectors of the economy determining specific requirements for them. One of such requirements is the possibility of safe movement of brittle elements and products with possible increased damage (injury) in pharmaceutical industry, electronics, food industry, as well as in agricultural production during the transportation of seed grain materials. The theoretical substantiation of the increase of efficiency of bulk cargoes transportation by screw conveyors is given in this paper. The problem of their progressive structures development with the possibility of minimal damage of grain materials remains important. The paper presents Recommendations for the auger rotation speed selection in order to minimize the damage of brittle elements and products are presented in this paper. The rational angle at which productivity of the screw conveyor reaches its maximum values is deteermined.

The work is devoted to the theoretical substantiation of the parameters of the planetary fruit separator of nightshade vegetables both in direct and reusable ways. The article has a theoretical research character expressed in the fact that the analysis of the method of harvesting nightshade vegetables is theoretically given. There was determined the main theoretical trend of equipment development and advancing its design to improve the quality of its work. There were given the type of the proposed design, its theoretical description and the flow of technological process. As a result of the work done, the design of the device for reusable nightshade vegetables harvesting with proposed working bodies is presented. The conclusions present the main results achieved so far.

The work is devoted to the main tillage, namely the theoretical substantiation of the profile of a flat-cutting working body of a plough. The article has a research character, which is expressed in the fact that the theoretical analysis of the method of determining the angle of sharpening of soil–processing working bodies according to the degree of gradual wear of working bodies were shown in works on this problem. There was also substantiated the type of the proposed design, there were given its description and flow of a technological process. As a result of the work done, there were obtained the theoretical dependence of the sharpening angle of working bodies and influence of the degree of wear on traction resistance of an arable unit. The conclusions set out the main results achieved so far.

The top-crusher with more advanced design and improved performance characteristics has been proposed. The dependence between geometric and mechanical parameters of the rotor is established, providing maximum absolute speed of knife blades for the moment of cutting the stem which creates the best conditions for grinding the stems. It follows from the results of calculations that the proposed chain top-crusher, in comparison to the existing analogues, has: minimum energy consumption (Nprv=13-15 kWt), and, consequently, the lower fuel consumption (in comparison to KIR-1.5 Nprv KIR=18-20 kWt), improved quality of making technological process – by copying the transverse profile of the ridges and the increased reliability of working bodies.

An analytical method for determining the influence of a process medium on the dynamics of the working bodies of vibrating machines is considered. The results of the research are presented, which made it possible to identify the zones of effective action of parameters and characteristics of the "machine - environment" system to ensure the high quality of the compaction process, which is based on the idea of purposeful use of the elastic characteristics of a common vibration system. The scientific idea is put forward, which consists in the fact that during the study of a particular process the mathematical model of the vibration system "machine-environment" should be determined on the basis of taking into account the internal structure of these subsystems as a single one, despite their different physical nature and structure. The theoretical substantiation of the possibility of creating bulk molding Vibration Machines with highly effective parameters of energy intensity and material consumption for various conditions for the formation of concrete and reinforced concrete products is given in the paper. This is due to the creation and rational use of the regularities of changes in the internal (elastic-inertial and dissipative) properties of the "machine-environment" system in the regime, which is approximate to the mode of its free oscillations.

The processes of movement of granules of solid mineral fertilizers on the surface of the spreading disc blade are described, and the main parameters at the moment of their descent from the blades are determined. It was found that the main factors that determine the speed of a fertilizer particle when it moves along a horizontal disc along a rectilinear blade are the blade length and the angular velocity of the spreading disc.

Introduction. Rotary cultivators are necessary for circular soil cutting while forming the underlayment and slopes of highways. Therefore, the objective of the research is a theoretical substantiation of constructive and sensitive parameters for the rotary ripper. The researchers usually use synthesis method to evaluate theoretical evaluation of the energy consumption on the development of soil. The researchers also carry out an indicative calculation of basic design parameters and power drive of rotary ripper.Materials and methods. The author developed a methodology for calculating the indicative rotor power. Moreover, the author detected changes of the effective frontal sections of the working body in the process of the rotor circulation by means of the length measuring of a frontal section.Results. As a result, the author defined rational working parameters of circular cutting ground and calculated the angular velocity of the active working body. Moreover, the author also identified the required average torque and approximate rotor power.Discussion and conclusions. A simple and intuitive method based on accepted formulas of strength of materials, theoretical mechanics and other sciences is required for practical calculations of the working vehicles’ bodies. The author finds out that on the basis of the synthesis method the assessing energy expenditure on the development of soil may be defined, the analysis of the interaction with soil working bodies can be made.

For many years, the department’s staff has been such scientists and water engineers with extensive experience as M.A. Volynov, V.S. Verbitsky, S.S. Medvedev, N.V. Lebedev, B.C. Panfilov, T.G. Voynich-Syanozhentsky, V.A. Golubkova, G.V. Lyapin and others. The department solved a wide range of tasks, the main areas of research were the following: – theoretical and applied hydrodynamics and hydraulics, with reference to the open channel flows that affect the state and level of safety of the hydraulic structures; – integrated use and protection of water bodies – water sources and water sources of water resources used in land reclamation; – development of measures and technical solutions for the protection of objects from the negative effects of water; – theoretical substantiation of works to improve the safety level of the GTS (declaration); – development and implementation of digitalization methods for solving design, construction, operation and control of landreclamation facilities. Currently, promising areas of research is the development of a decision-making algorithm in the designation of measures to rationalize the provision of resources to water amelioration. The algorithm is developed on the basis of a detailed study, systematization and processing of data both on safety and on the efficiency of systems and structures, ensuring the delivery of irrigation water of the required quality and in sufficient quantity from a water source to the field.
