The article analyzes the issues and problems of conducting an economic analysis in order to determine the actual financial condition of enterprises and prevent the possibility of bankruptcy. An assessment of the importance of timely diagnosis of the actual financial condition of an enterprise and of an economic analysis of the financial prerequisites of a possible bankruptcy of an enterprise under current market conditions is made. Also the concept of “bankruptcy” and “insolvency” of the enterprise in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine are described. As world practice shows, bankruptcy of an enterprise is not an accidental phenomenon, but a consistent pattern which can be detected and eliminated in a timely manner. The most common methodological approach to diagnosing the state and the threat of bankruptcy is the coefficient approach which involves the use of a list of special financial ratios-indicators of an enterprise — relative indicators calculated by comparing certain absolute measures of economic activity with one another. The author reviewed the classical models of economic express analysis of the financial condition of the company to identify possible bankruptcy, developed by American scientists, economists William Beaver and Edward Altman. Depending on the values of indicators of these models, an assessment was made of the degree of proximity of a business entity to bankruptcy. Advantages and disadvantages of using these models in practice in the conditions of a modern market economy taking into account the specifics of the financial situation in Ukraine are described and analyzed. According to the results of the study, a list of measures for the exit of enterprises that are at risk of possible bankruptcy from the current unfavorable situations has been proposed. The author also concluded that further scientific developments on this topic are necessary and will be of interest both among scientists and among the participants of financial and economic relations. Key words: economic analysis, test method, enterprise, financial condition

This article describes in detail one of the main tools for assessing the financial stability of an enterprise. The study describes a method for analyzing the financial stability of an enterprise based on relative indicators: its own working capital, the aggregate of its own and long-term funds, the total amount of sources for the formation of reserves and costs of an economic entity, and shows practical calculations on the example of an economic entity. The study reveals the essence of the method for determining one of the four types of financial situation: absolute stability, normal stability, unstable and crisis financial condition. The types are characterized based on the values of the threecomponent indicator of financial stability. Based on the results of the analysis of financial stability based on relative indicators, conclusions and proposals are made, with emphasis on the stabilization of the financial situation. The advantages and disadvantages of using the studied tool for assessing the financial stability of the enterprise are also highlighted.

Relevance of research. The actualization of the assessment of the financial condition of the enterprise from the standpoint of possible bankruptcy is indisputable, taking into account the impact of both external and internal factors on the work of the enterprise. The purpose of the study: to develop a methodological approach to preventive assessment of the financial condition of the enterprise, taking into account internal and external factors influencing its economic activity from the standpoint of possible bankruptcy. Methodology and scientific methods: methods of comparative analysis, economic-mathematical modeling, system approach are used. Research results: the article considers scientific trends and problems of assessing the financial condition of enterprises using different methodological approaches. The most well-known formed discriminant models of foreign and domestic scientists are characterized, taking into account their advantages and disadvantages in conducting economic assessment of the financial condition of enterprises. Features and possibilities of application of these models at the domestic enterprises of a machine-building complex are stated. The necessity to develop a dynamic operational model of preventive management is substantiated, which makes it possible to take into account both internal and external national factors and foreign indicators. Unlike the existing ones, this model considers not only financial indicators (profitability ratio, current liquidity ratio, asset turnover, autonomy ratio), but also their importance in the dynamics, as well as taking into account external factors of the country in which the company operates. A new methodological approach for assessing the financial condition of the enterprise with the inclusion of national factors of enterprises and performance indicators of foreign economic entities is proposed. The proposed method of assessing the company in the dynamics in relation to each time to the previous year in terms of bankruptcy characterizes the effectiveness of management and is a signal to take precautions regardless of the stage of the life cycle of the enterprise or its products. The information support of this model serves as a basis for the formation of the company's self-management system. Research framework / possibility of using the results: the proposed methodological approach has an international character and can be used by single-industry enterprises of different countries to assess their financial and economic, marketing, organizational, production, logistics activities, especially when looking for business partners. Practical significance: assessment of the bankruptcy probability index at 12 machine-building enterprises of Ukraine was carried out, conclusions were made on the location of enterprises in the bankruptcy zone. Social consequences: the results of this assessment lead to management decisions by the management of machine-building enterprises on the optimization of jobs, labor movement, internal and external staff rotation.

The coordination of economic activity at the global level is carried out through different mechanisms, which regulate activities of companies, states, international organizations. In spite of wide diversity of entrenched mechanisms of governance in different areas, they can be classified on the basis of key characteristics, including distribution of property rights, mechanisms of governance (in the narrow sense according to O. Williamson), mechanisms of expansion. This approach can contribute not only to classifying existing institutions but also to designing new ones. The modern aggravation of global problems may require rethinking mechanisms of global governance. The authors offer the universal framework for considering this problem and its possible solutions.

Abstract Introduction. Nowadays the foreign economic activity of the regions serves as a factor contributing to improving the population well-being, improving its life quality, as well as territory socio-economic development and increasing its competitiveness. The purpose of the article is to analyze the foreign trade in services at the regional level and to identify its features. Results. The comparative analysis of the services export dynamics was conducted in the studied regions for the period from 1996 to 2018: the periods of growth, reduction, peak values were identified, the leader – Odessa region was determined. At the same time, it is emphasized that due to the decrease in the indicator in Odessa region and the growth in the Mykolaiv region, the gap between them narrowed significantly for the period from 2012. The dynamics of the services import volume in the economy of the studied regions has been analyzed. Determination of the leader – Odessa region was done, the trends of dynamics for the studied period are considered. The dynamics calculation of the foreign trade balance in services in the Mykolayiv region is given. The calculation of the chain gains index of the services foreign trade balance in the Mykolaiv region is given, which indicates a considerable amplitude of fluctuations and reduction from 2014 to 2016. Results. The foreign trade balance in services in the studied areas was calculated and analyzed: the Odessa region was the leader before 2010. After in accordance with the services export dynamics in Odessa and Mykolaiv regions, their convergence to the actual equalization in 2018 is observed. The positive value of the balance in all the regions for the whole study period is noteworthy. The analysis makes it possible to confirm the significant dependence of the foreign regions economic activity of the Black Sea region on the general situation in the country with divergent tendencies of indicators changes, which allows to define it as heterogeneous. Keywords: foreign economic activity of the region, export, import, dynamics, regional foreign economic relations, foreign economic relations of the region.

AbstractFollowing the reverse engineering (RE) approach to analyse an economic complex system is to infer how its underlying mechanism works. The main factors that condition the difficulty of RE are the number of variable components in the system and, most importantly, the interdependence of components on one another and nonlinear dynamics. All those aspects characterize the economic complex systems within which economic agents make their choices. Economic complex systems are adopted in RE science, and they could be used to understand, predict and model the dynamics of the complex systems that enable to define and to control the economic environment. With the RE approach, economic data could be used to peek into the internal workings of the economic complex system, providing information about its underling nonlinear dynamics. The idea of this paper arises from the aim to deepen the comprehension of this approach and to highlight the potential implementation of tools and methodologies based on it to treat economic complex systems. An overview of the literature about the RE is presented, by focusing on the definition and on the state of the art of the research, and then we consider two potential tools that could translate the methodological issues of RE by evidencing advantages and disadvantages for economic analysis: the recurrence analysis and the agent-based model (ABM).

International economic activity occupies a special place in a complex system of the global economic relations. It reflects the mutual economic dependence of trade and economic activities of different countries of the world. The significance of the development of international economic performance of each country is growing. The purpose of the article is to determine the current state and trends of international economic performance of Ukraine, taking into account changes in the external environment. SWOT-analysis was introduced to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats and ways to overcome weaknesses, solve problems in international economic activity, use strengths and opportunities. International economic activity is a powerful factor in the development of the country's economy and has a significant potential in regard of natural, economic and human resources, but the study has also revealed problems and negative trends. To identify trends in the effectiveness of the country's international economic activity, export-import performance indicators for 2019, 2020 and similar indicators for 2013 were analyzed. In 2020 a decline in exports in the machine-building industry is observed. Furthermore, the exports are dominated by the raw material component. The growth rate of exported goods refers to industries with a small share of value added. At the same time, imports are dominated by high-tech products, indicating a lack of strategy of technical and technological development, which leads to the deindustrialization of the country, which is a significant threat to the economy of Ukraine as a whole and its international economic activity. In the context of economic globalization, the importance of international economic relations is growing. To increase the efficiency of international economic performance it is crucial to address a number of domestic issues: stabilization of political situation, termination of military actions in the east of the country, overcoming corruption, ensuring technical and technological development, implementation of innovations at enterprises, development and implementation of multi-vector strategy, implementation of the strategy of public diplomacy in order to build a positive image of Ukraine. Further research will focus on assessing the effectiveness of international economic activity, identifying threats to national competitiveness and elaborating recommendations for overcoming them.
