A distinctive feature of the practice of market-oriented management (marketing management) and management of the sustainable development of modern enterprises is a significant lag behind basic scientific research. The level of harmony of interests between the subject of marketing management (the top management of P.J.S.C. «TAGMET») and its key stakeholders has been established. An integrated assessment of the sustainable development of a metallurgical enterprise was carried out on the basis of an improved methodology. The high closeness of the relationship between the level of harmony of interests of the subject of marketing management and its stakeholders, on the one hand, and the actual level of sustainability of P.J.S.C. «TAGMET», on the other, is established.

This study aims at quantifying the degree of concentration of the traditional product market in Romania, and the sector’s productivity and the economic performance of the different categories of traditional products are assessed. This can highlight a correlation between the dynamics of traditional products and the regional development of the relevant markets in Romania. The second aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between the economic profitability of the traditional products and the sector’s sustainability. The third aim evaluates the relationship between the capital accumulations of specific companies and the evolution of their current assets. The information selected for the application was prospective (literature review, market observations, query, and data consolidation) and analytic revised (database analysis, hypothesis fixation, model conceptualization, model hypothesis testing, and conclusions to be drawn). The selected data were processed, aiming at developing a model for the sustainable development of the traditional products. The research information was collected based on the official registrations carried out between 2014 and 2018 by at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Romania. During this period, Romania developed the National Traditional Product Registry (NTPR), which comprises a database of 647 traditional products. The assessment of economic performance was achieved through calculated performance test by a new proposed statistical model, named ZML. ZML suggests a market concentration analysis as an alternative to the Gini Struck method. The impact of the research consisted of an evaluation of the economic performance of traditional Romanian products in sustainable development terms.

The relevance of the study of the genesis of theoretical and methodological foundations of the formation of innovative investment agricultural organizations’ policies appears under the pressure of technological transformation in the sustainable development of the economy. The beginning of the 21st century is marked by frequent cycles of both development and stagnation of economic trends. Disclosure of the transformation ontology involves identification of changes in all the functional processes of the studied object, including the relationship of the subject (active or passive activity) to objects and instruments of influence. Markers and indicators measuring the level of quality and the return efficiency of transformed objects are also subjects to changes.

The huge potential of innovations to achieve the goals of sustainable development is indisputable, but at the same time the task of orienting the innovation process to its most problematic areas, which is a threat to national security, arises. This issue is relevant in the context of the formation of mechanisms of interaction between the state, business and society and is an urgent scientific and practical problem. Based on the above, the purpose of the study is to analyze the main components of innovation development strategies in the framework of national strategies for sustainable development. In the study, the author improved the scheme of the relationship between development and security, which is focused on achieving development and security goals through appropriate innovation policies and development management. Taking into account the importance of innovative development, as well as the national characteristics of the relationship between it and the goals of sustainable development, a practical approach to the coherence of innovation policy for sustainable development is proposed. It is determined that for the implementation of the coherence of innovation policy for sustainable development, an analytical component is important, which will link the goals of sustainable development and indicators of the innovation system as the basis for their achievement. To determine the impact of innovative development on the sustainable development of Ukraine, the impact of the indicator of goal 9 on the other 16 goals is determined. The components of the national system «sustainable development – security» are identified and evaluated on the basis of Sustainable Development Report 2019. As prospects for using the developed methodology of institutional innovation (creating institutional conditions for innovative priorities of sustainable development) it is proposed to consider it in the context of achieving sustainable goals development (systematic integration of economic, social and environmental aspects of sustainable development) at the regional level.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a global strategy that aims to obtain a more equitable and just world. These objectives are organized in 17 SDGs, which are detailed in 169 targets. Different international institutions have emphasized education's relevance to developing citizens who contribute to the SDGs' achievement for 2030. However, a review focused on Physical Education exclusively has not been performed yet. Therefore, the objective of this work is double. First, to analyze and select the specific goals of the SDGs that can be implemented in the subject of Physical Education. And second, to relate these specific goals to the different models based on Physical Education practices. This review showed how three institutional documents have previously related sport, physical exercise and physical education to the specific goals of the SDGs. Based on the search done, this document selects those goals that could be integrated into the educational context through Physical Education. The bibliographic and narrative analysis carried out in this research shows that of the 169 specific goals proposed in the SDGs, only 24 could be worked on in Physical Education. In addition, after this previous analysis, a proposal for the relationship between the practice-based models and these 24 goals is presented. The contributions made in this paper will allow teachers to establish links between PE sessions and SDGs while raising awareness to develop students who contribute to a more sustainable world.

AbstractCilliers first explores the progress that has been made globally in poverty reduction in a historical context and then the relationship between inequality and growth. He concludes that Africa will miss goal 1 of the Sustainable Development Goals on the elimination of extreme poverty by 2030 by a substantial margin. The chapter uses three income measures of extreme poverty for low, lower-middle and upper-middle countries to frame the current situation in Africa and then discusses and forecasts the impact of social grants on poverty alleviation. A final section presents the results of a scenario, Social Grants for Africa, and compares the results with the poverty forecast in the Current Path.

Renewable energy sources have a large potential to contribute the sustainable development as environmentally and socioeconomically. However, the existing literature includes theoretical framework in general and there is a lack of both comprehensive theoretical and empirical framework on the relationship between sustainable development and RE technologies. This paper aims to theoretically synthesise the literature on renewable energy technologies and sustainable development for Turkey, and then classify the results by broad categories. After all, the present paper uses conceptual and quantitative analysis, which reviews each concept with conceptual framework and evaluates data with quantitative method. From this point of view, this paper attempts to make a contribution by developing a conceptual framework which allows a wide-ranging analysis of the impact of renewable energy on sustainability and which can be empirically applied to classify these benefits in Turkey.

PurposeDigitalization is becoming the subject of considerable interest in the literature. This is in view of its relevance in addressing social problems and contributing to the development of communities and societies. In the agri-food-industry, digitalization is also expected to contribute significantly to solve several challenges the sector is facing at this moment, such as the increasing food demand and resource use. However, the effects of advanced technologies are less a function of the technologies themselves than of how they are used by people. The study analyses the dominant challenges faced by firms in the agri-food industry in the usage and adoption of digital technology. Also, they show how these challenges impact on the sustainable development of digital technology for firms in the industry and provide avenues for future research.Design/methodology/approachThe authors propose a structured literature review aiming to investigate the following research question: what are the main challenges faced by firms within the agri-food industry in the adoption of smart technologies?FindingsResults illustrate the dominant challenges faced by firms in the agri-food industry in the usage and adoption of digital technology. Sustainability is to promote economic growth that generates equitable wealth for all without harming the environment, becoming one of the objectives that serve as a starting point for many place branding strategies. Cultural heritage, environmental sustainability, and the valorization of the territory are nowadays unavoidable elements to sustain brands. This research analyzes the transmission of place branding values through experiential events, as a formula for business improvement according to the principles of sustainable development. The research is focused on the case of wine in British Columbia (Canada). The methodology applied was based on a theoretical framework as a starting point for the study. From there, on the one hand, an analysis of the contents of the events carried out by the winegrowers of British Columbia during the harvest months in 2019 and 2020 has been carried out. On the other hand, interviews were conducted with relevant professionals and academics in the sector in order to determine the extent to which they meet the needs of promotion of the site, taking into account the impact on the sustainability of the territory. The results show the link between the events and the territory brand, which is a means to generate growth through wine tourism promoted by the wineries, thus revaluing the winegrowing landscape and, in general, the traditions of the place, among others. There is also a need to look for strategies that seek collaboration between the public and private sectors to improve the creation of integrated events that transmit the branding values of the place. Events are a tool to generate territory branding and can, if well-conceived, contribute to the sustainable development goals (SDGs). In the case study, the results show that the vast majority of events organized by BC wineries aim to promote place branding within the framework of sustainability. A methodology that could be applicable to other territories and countries.

Under certain circumstances, on-the-job consumption is conducive to improving the resilience of the supply chain and the sustainable development ability of enterprises. Using China’s A-share listed companies from 2008 to 2019 as sample data in conjunction with the deconstructive analysis of on-the-job consumption, we used the multiple linear regression model of econometrics to deeply analyze the impact of on-the-job consumption on the sustainable development of enterprises, test the regulatory effect of innovation efficiency, and explore the governance effect of internal control and anti-corruption. Research shows that reasonable and excessive on-the-job consumption have positive and inhibitory effects, respectively, on the sustainable development of enterprises and the relationship between innovation efficiency and the sustainable development of enterprises. Compared to private enterprises, the positive effect of reasonable on-the-job consumption is smaller in state-owned enterprises, while the negative effect of excessive on-the-job consumption is larger in state-owned enterprises. Further research suggests that internal control can weaken the inhibitory effect of excessive on-the-job consumption on the positive relationship between the innovation efficiency and the sustainable development of enterprises, and the weakening effect is even greater after the implementation of anti-corruption policies. Anti-corruption policies and internal control can form a complementary force, effectively restrain the agency effect of excessive on-the-job consumption, and promote the sustainable development of enterprises. This research not only expands the research perspective of on-the-job consumption but also adds new theoretical explanations and empirical evidence for how to achieve the sustainable development of enterprises.
