Abstract The Brazilian’s Cerrado is recognized as the richest in biodiversity savanna in the world, with the presence of several ecosystems. Therefore, their study in education has great importance in strengthening the training of students to learn and practice environmental conservation of this biome. The objective of this study was to assess the process of learning about the cerrado by the interaction of students in a differentiated class, using the five senses (touch, smell, taste, hearing and vision). The methodology is based on the fact of trying to reconnecting people of temporary nature without the use of vision, awakening to the use of other senses in the exploration of "sensory trails." The results demonstrated that the use of sensory trail was satisfactory in increasing student interest and learning about the development of the cerrado. Key words: Environmental education. Sensory trail. Science. Teaching-learning process.

AbstractGiven the need to understand the current approaches to Environmental Education (EE) in the world, we answer the following questions: (i) Have the studies directed to EE received attention from the scientific community? (ii) what are the trends in EE publications? In the past years, there has been an increase in the number of publications on EE. Brazil stood out in the number of publications, reflecting the concern of Brazilian researchers to promote sustainability and biodiversity maintenance. As for the approaches, the studies are broad, ranging from the influence of policies on environmental protection to the importance of reflection at a global level, proposing international agreements. However, regarding the EE application, given the multiple existing currents, it is worth emphasizing the importance of the teaching-learning process to take place critically so that there is no favoring of the contents promoted and supported by a hegemonic class.

This chapter introduces the use of electronic portfolios (e-portfolios) as an assessment method in the K-12 classroom. Aligned with the constructivist approach, the term e-portfolio is considered to be an umbrella, actually comprising of various components reflecting both the teaching-learning process and the end products. Having many advantages, the use of e-portfolios is spreading all over the world. This chapter, in which issues such as conceptual underpinnings, possible advantages and challenges, implementation ideas, and content and assessment criteria for e-portfolios are also reviewed, concludes with suggestions for teachers who are interested in implementing e-portfolios into their own subject fields.

Abstract: Education is a process to humanize human beings. Therefore, the methods employed by the teacher should provide valuable characters since students make the teacher as the central figure in the process of learning. Moreover, the world’ figures that serve valuable morals for students are currently in crisis. In this void, therefore, the field of education should be triggered by improving the quality of teacher’s performance, especially for the religious teacher. The importance of interdisciplinarity in the teaching-learning process has been much debated. This topic has challenged schoolteachers, who do not always manage to integrate interdisciplinarity into the school routine. This paper emerged from the discipline Research Methodology taught at the postgraduate course in education of Universidade Federal do Triângulo Mineiro. During this course, we sought to gain knowledge about the academic production related to interdisciplinarity in the teaching-learning process, mainly in terms of teacher training and teaching practice, published in dissertations and theses. We explored contents published from 2011 to 2016 in Brazil. The covered period was based on a search for recent productions on the proposed theme, conducted by using the database of the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations. Analyses of the documents pointed to the need to work interdisciplinarity during teacher training courses and to adopt an interdisciplinary posture in daily teaching practice in schools. These practices should help to overcome compartmentalization of the teaching-learning process and to provide students with a global view of the world.

Abstract: Teaching English for young learners always gets more attention. It is because young learners are very unique. They have many characters which can change rapidly in one time. Sometimes, they display an enthusiasm for learning and a curiosity about the world around them. They also have a need for individual attention and approval from the teacher. They are keen to talk about themselves, and respond well to learning that uses themselves and their own lives as main topics in the classroom. However, they also have a limited attention span.  They can easily get bored, losing interest after ten minutes if the activities are not extremely engaging. For overcoming this situation, teachers need to choose an approach that can invite the students to be more active. One of the suitable approaches is project approach (hereafter PA). Katz & Chard (1989) define that a project is an extended study of a topic usually undertaken by a group of children, sometimes by a whole class, and occasionally by an individual child. Applying PA in teaching learning process can be used to maximize the skills in Bloom Taxonomy. Key words: Pelajar Muda, Karakter, Perhatian, Pendekatan Proyek.
