Homeless people who not able to get and keep regular, safe and sound houses, or lack of fixed usual and sufficient night-time residence. The numbers of homeless peoples are increased due to the lack of adequate housing, unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood and old age etc. They are living in open areas like pavements, railway platforms, Hume pipes, under flyovers and open places near temples are described as homeless. In India, 1.77 million people are living homeless and 35 per cent of people are still earning $1 or less a day. The objectives of the study are 1) to know the socio-economic conditions of the homeless people in Madurai city, 2) to examine the factors affecting the homeless people in Madurai city and 3) To suggest viable strategies for improving their living conditions of homeless people. The study is entirely based on primary data. It deals with socio-economic conditions of homeless people, and factors influencing homelessness of homeless people in Madurai city. In the study, 100 homeless people were interviewed by using a well-structured interview schedule. The findings of the study have been identified various factors as the causes of homelessness and deprivation. Thus, the fact emerges that the homeless dwellers in the study area are socio-economically very poor and backward.

Banana is a staple fruit in almost every Indian meal and also an important commercial crop that adds a considerable amount of dollar in country’s export revenues column. But in recent years the share is in decreasing trend due to some inevitable reasons. So understanding factors influencing banana exporting farmer’s especially among small and marginal farmers is a necessary one. This study tries to understand the socio-economic characteristics of banana farmers in Coimbatore and Erode district. 120 samples were selected randomly and well-structured interview schedule is used to collect data. The results show that most of the farmers were in the age group of 41 – 50 (32.50%) and are illiterate (28.33%) with farm experience of about 26-35 years (35%). Sample farmers largely live as a nuclear family (69.17%) and follow agriculture as a sole occupation (36.67%). Most of the sample farmers were marginal farmers (40.8%) with the annual income range of about 1 lakh to 3 lakh (35.83%). As many of them are small and marginal farmers and are illiterate, it is suggested to conduct number of training programs, tour visit and exhibition to increase the awareness about the export of banana.

Aim: The purpose of the study was to find the consumption pattern of various types of major dry fruits and nuts in Coimbatore city of Tamil Nadu. Design of the Study: Analytical or diagnostic research and exploratory research design were used as the study aims to find the consumption pattern of major dry fruits and nuts in Coimbatore city. Survey was carried out through a well-structured interview schedule. Primary data was collected using interview schedule from the sample respondents. Methodology: The sampling technique used for data collection was the convenience sampling method. The sample respondents in this study were selected from different regions of Coimbatore city who had purchased major dry fruits and nuts in supermarkets, hypermarkets, retail stores and bakeries. Total sample size for the study was 150. Tools used for analysis were percentage analysis and chi-square test for consumption patterns of major dry fruits and nuts. Findings: Most of the sample respondents were highly aware about the health benefits and nutritional content of dry fruits and nuts. Age is significantly associated with purchasing frequency, consumption pattern of major dry fruits and nuts. Consumption pattern of major dry fruits and nuts varies according with the age of consumers. There is no significant association between gender and consumption pattern of major dry fruits and nuts. Family income was significantly associated with the quantity of consumption of major dry fruits and nuts like almond, pistachios, cashews and raisins.

The current research investigates the performance efficiency of U-fone compare with Mobilink. Data were both primary as well as secondary data. Secondary data related to industry was collected from web sites, pilot study, survey, newspaper, PTA Annual report, magazines and reports for generating awareness on the topic and for satisfying objectives of the study. To collect primary data a field survey was conducted with the help of structured interview schedule. Various demographic variables were considered and the questionnaire was tested. The respondents being the adopters of mobile phones are selected for conducting survey, the sample I choose to conduct the survey is based on 50, out of 50 I got the response from 40 on which statistical data analysis is based in this report. It was revealed that Mobilink Network Coverage whereas people are not satisfied with Ufone Network CoveragePeople use Mobilink are not satisfied with the call rates set by Mobilink, whereas the people using Ufone are much satisfied with the call rates set by Ufone.Mostly people use Ufone because of packages.  The ratio of Mobilink users who attracts towards other network by watching ads is higher than Ufone users.Ufone attracts people more by advertisement of different packages as compare to  Mobilink.The ratio of satisfied customers is higher in Mobilink.Ufone introduce more innovative services like Call block, Utunes, HisaabSms and etc.Most of the people viewed that CRM (Customer Relationship Management) of Ufone is not effective as Mobilink.

Collective Farming Scheme was implemented in the year 2017-2018 by the Government of Tamil Nadu, India to empower the farmers and their access to modern technologies. This study aimed to ascertain the contribution of the profile characteristics to the perception of collective farming. The study was conducted in Alangulam block of Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu.  Data were collected through a well structured interview schedule with 120 farmers selected from four villages (Vadiyoor, Melamaruthappapuram, Ayyanarkulam and Sivalarulam). Regression analysis was carried out to determine the contribution of 12 selected farmer’s profile characteristics to the perception of collective farming. Social participation, training and innovativeness were the major factors that positively and significantly contributed to the perception of collective farming.  For the better perception and practice of collective farming awareness from the state department or extension officials can be provided to the farmers along with the advantages of collective farming.

According to the American Marketing Association, green marketing is the marketing of products that are presumed to be environmentally safe, To analyse the factors influencing the green marketing products in Coimbatore city.Objectives of the study, To analyse the factors influencing the green marketing products in Coimbatore city. The describptive research has used this study. Primary as well as secondary data has been used in this study. Primary data collected from structured questionnaire. Secondary data were collected from journals, magazines, news paper etc. Simple random sampling technique adopted in this study.Suggested this study, Consumer needs to be made more aware about the merits of Green products. The consumer needs to be educated and made aware of the environmental threats. It should be made sure that the consumer is aware of and concerned about the issues that your product attempts to address. Green Marketing campaign and green advertising is good step toward it. Conclude this study, an environmental committed organization may not only produce goods that have reduced their detrimental impact on theenvironment, they may also be able to pressure their suppliers to behave in a more environmentally responsible fashion.

The study attempts to identify the rice marketing channels, market actors and their marketing functions in Bogura and Gaibandha districts in Bangladesh. The paper also examines the rice marketing cost and margin and highlight major obstacles of market actors. Primary data were collected from 25 middlemen by using pretested semi-structured interview schedule in 2017. Rice millers, wholesalers and retailers were the major market’s actors in the study areas. Most of the rice millers buy paddy directly from the farmers by using their agent. After processing rice, rice millers sell rice to the wholesalers, and retailers. Rice millers marketing costs were higher in the Bogura district (Tk.569.8/40kg) than Gaibandha district (Tk.526.0/40kg). However, retailers’ marketing costs were higher in Gaibandha district (Tk.43.0/40kg) than Bogura district (Tk.39.1/40kg). Among all intermediaries, marketing margins was highest for rice millers which were Tk. 227.5/40kg. Middlemen have no sufficient capital for investment. Therefore, Government, Non Government Organizations and other institutional credit should be available to them at the reasonable interest rate. J Bangladesh Agril Univ 17(4): 567–573, 2019

The present study deals with the empirical results regarding the study of job satisfaction in Bhakra Beas Management Board. The study is attempted to assess the job satisfaction and their means difference among various satisfaction levels. The satisfied and dissatisfied groups to job satisfaction mean difference is also attempted. The disruptive research method is found suitable for this purpose. Primary data has been assembled by employing questionnaire. A sample of 360 respondents was selected from all unit of organization. The content, construct and item to total correlation validity were established. Reliability of the instrument was justified through the calculation of cronbach’s (α) alpha coefficient. The test-retest measure of reliability coefficient for job satisfaction scale was found acceptable. The finding appears to be reasonably valid in view of the deplorable socio- economic conditions of the employees and their factors influencing job satisfaction.

In the field of English language learning, speaking is regarded as one of the most important skills to be developed and enhanced continually as means of effective communication. In most English classes at universities, many students find it difficult to express themselves in spoken English. So this research aims to investigate prominent factors affecting fluency of second-year students in speaking skill. The study uses mixed research methods with two data collection instruments namely survey questionnaire and semi-structured interview. The participants joining the survey questionnaire include 98 English non-majored students who were taking the English speaking course in their second semester at a university. The semi-structured interviews were conducted with 15 teachers and 15 students. The findings reveal that the group of affective factors is the prominent one, and then followed by automation, error correction and performance factors influencing their oral fluency. Therefore, some useful recommendations focusing on interactive strategies to minimize learners’ difficulties in oral fluency as well as develop their fluency in English speaking performance in this study could be taken into account for EFL teachers in English speaking classes.

<p class="StandardTextkrperSAR">The study identified the factors influencing the discontinuance of improved rice technologies in Nasarawa State of Central Nigeria. Multi-stage random sampling was purposely used to select eighty rice farmers from four rice-producing villages of the study area using structured interview schedule on the respondents. Statistical analysis involving frequency counts, means and percentage were used to satisfy objectives 1, 2, 3, and 4 while regression analysis was applied to satisfy objective 5. The results of the regression analysis showed that education and extension contact had significant but negative relationship at 5% level; while age had positive and significant relationship at 1% level with discontinuance of adoption of improved rice technologies. Farmers should be encouraged to participate in the on-going government rural literacy campaign while extension contact be enhanced to minimize discontinuance of improved rice technologies.</p>

Agriculture is the main occupation of the vast majority of the population of India. Producers companies can help smallholder farmers participate in emerging high-value markets, such as the export market and the unfolding modern retail sector in India. Farmer producer organizations (FPO) need to strengthen support service for small farmers developing a link between farmers and purchasers of agricultural produce. The study was conducted among four assisting FPOs with 45 respondents in Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu. Data were collected through a well-structured interview schedule among the respondents of four farmer producers companies select randomly. The data collected were coded, tabulated, ranked and the result was interpreted worked out. Overall the respondent's member perception score was ranged between “good” to “excellent”.
