The paper presents the elaboration of a mathematical model of the cold strip rolling process combined with the recrystallization annealing after the rolling at LBR Liberty Galati. The elaborated mathematical model allows the prediction of the mechanical properties of cold rolled strips subsequently subjected to a heat treatment. The realization of this mathematical model was based on statistical measurements of the mechanical properties Rm, Rp0.2 (Rc) and A5 for the rolled steel strip DC01 from Liberty Steel Galati. To achieve this mathematical model, the active experiment method was used. With the help of this mathematical model, it is possible to optimize the rolling process by significant savings of time and materials in the process of testing the mechanical properties for cold rolled tape, but also by choosing the most appropriate process parameters.

The paper presents a mathematical model for predicting the mechanical properties of hot rolled strips. The realization of this mathematical model relied on statistical measurements of the mechanical properties (Rm, Rp0,2 and A5) for the laminated strip in the LBC rolling mill from the Liberty Steel Galati steel plant. To achieve this mathematical model, there has been used the active experiment method.By means of this mathematical model, significant time and material savings can be made in the process of testing the mechanical properties for hot rolled tape.

The material of the deteriorated poly-V pulleys made of cold-rolled steel strip 08kp and 08ps was studied using electron microscopy with an X-ray microanalyzer and the causes of their fatigue failure were determined. The main reasons for their destruction can be heterogeneous structure and properties and non-optimal mode of annealing and, as a result, the low hardness on the transitional zone of the pulley, through which they are damaged in service. So, to avoid pieces deterioration, cold-rolled tape made of 035Yu steel with a homogeneous structure and properties was developed. The study also proposes a new mode of its recrystallization annealing, which increases the hardness at the transition zone of the poly-V pulley and the service life of promising automotive generators.

Used the influence of technological factors of the rolling process on the intensity of the rolling out of the defect to determine the value of deformation and the coefficient of use of the plasticity resource. Introduced the notion of residual coefficient of plasticity resource in the second stage of transformation of the defect. Found that the causes of deterioration of the quality of cold-rolled sheet can be numerous defects of mechanical origin, caused by mechanical damage of the sheet surface. Conducted an analysis of profiles rolling modes, rolled on the mill 1700. With the use of existing methods calculated DUPR on workshop modes of rolling of specified profiles with and without considering the surface defects. Carried an optimization of the modes of strip rolling with surface defects.

The hot deformation behavior of the Inconel alloy 625 was investigated through compression test within the temperature range of 850–1250 °C and the strain rate range of 0.1–30 s−1. Physically based mathematical model involving dynamic recovery and dynamic recrystallization processes has been proposed. Mathematical model allowed to calculate technological parameters of a rolling process of the “Inconel 625” at the hot rolling mill 2300. The pilot rolling operations showed that the possibility of the “Inconel 625” production exists. But it is necessary to provide the design changes of the cooling system of the work rolls. The article addressed the cracking behavior of nickel alloys in industries such as chemical process, nuclear generation, aircraft engine production.

In this paper, initial Ti-6Al-4V seamless tube was prepared and cold rolled to a final size of 32*2, and the microstructure and mechanical properties development was investigated, and the (0002) and (10 -10) texture was measured on XRD, pole figure calculated by Microsoft of Labotex. Pass between annealing was taken for stress-relieving, heat-treatment parameter was 800°C-1hr, furnace cooling to 500°C and then air cooling to room temperature. The results show that rolling process result in effective grain refinement and mechanical properties improvement after several rolling passes. The increase number of rolling pass improves strength but reduce the elongation, annealing improve elongation, reduce strength. A trend of texture reorientation was found in this paper also, textures of materials rolled by deformation rate were compared, different deformation rate effect texture evolution has been proved.

With the help of orientation distribution function (ODF) analysis, experiments of different hot band grain microstructure 0.33% silicon steel were cold-rolled and annealed in the laboratory,to study the effect of the microstructure hot-rolled steel strip for cold rolled non-oriented silicon steel microstructure and texture of recrystallization annealing. The results show that hot rolled microstructure on cold rolled Non-Oriented Electrical Steel cold-rolled sheet evolution of texture and recrystallization have important influence, the quiaxed grain structure of steel by cold rolling and recrystallization annealing, the recrystallization speed than the fiber grain-based mixed crystals recrystallization fast , With the equiaxed grains made of cold rolled silicon steel after annealing the {110}<UVW> texture components was enhanced and {100}<uwv> texture components weakened. Different microstructure condition prior to cold rolling in the recrystallization annealing process the texture evolution has the obvious difference, the equiaxial grain steel belt cold rolling and annealing, has the strong crystal orientation. This shows that the equiaxed grain when hot microstructure is detrimental to the magnetic properties of cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel to improve and increase.

Titanium and titanium alloys have excellent corrosion and heat resistance, but weak electric and thermal conductivity. The weak conductivity of titanium can be overcome by cladding with copper, which has high conductivity. Although titanium is expensive, it is selected as a material suitable for applications requiring corrosion resistance such as in heat exchangers. This study was to investigate the effect of post heat treatment on the mechanical properties of the Ti/Cu cold-rolled clad plate by using the interfacial diffusion bonding. A titanium clad by cold rolling should be heat-treated after the rolling process to improve the bonding properties through the diffusion of metals and removal of residual stress due to work hardening, despite the easy formation of intermetallic compounds of Ti and Cu. As a result post-treatment, the elongation was improved by more than two times from 21% to max. 53% by the Ti-Cu interface diffusion phenomenon and the average tensile strength of the 450 °C heat-treated specimens was 353 MPa. By securing high elongation while maintaining excellent tensile and yield strength through post-treatment, the formability of Ti-Cu clad plate can be greatly improved.

Knowledge of temperature distribution in the roll is fundamental aspect in cold rolling. An inverse analytical method has been previously developed to determine interfacial heat flux and surface temperature by measuring the temperature with a thermocouple (fully embedded) at only one point inside the roll. On this basis some pilot mill tests have been performed. The temperature sensor, the calibration procedure and rolling tests at different strip rolling conditions (5%, 10%, 15% and 20%) are described. Results show a good agreement with well-known theoretical models. Moreover the CPU times of the method (around 0.05 s by cycle) enable an online control of the rolling process.

In this paper, a Multi-Classification SVMs classifier in terms of the theory of SVM is presented and which can tell the various properties of panel surface. The sample data is obtained by preprocessing the data which is measured through the flatness detector in the cold-rolled operation. Using the supervised method of one-class-against-the-rest to train Multi-Classification SVMs classifier. Finally, testing the performance of classifier by test data. The simulation results show that the proposed method performs high recognition rate in processing little sample data and has good ability of generalization. To the flatness recognition, this is a new research method.
