The used of code-switching in learning Indonesian was an overview of the situation of how the interaction between students and teacher in learning. Code-switching used in regards to communicating certainly have functions. This study aimed to describe function code switching used by speakers at SMK of Marisi Medan. This research was a descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of study were the teacher and students. The objects were utterances of code-switching in Indonesian language learning at Vacational High School of  Marisi Medan. Validity data technique used triangulation of data source and informant review. Data collection used listen and speak methods. Data analysis using the intralingual method. The result of  research showed that function of code-switching at the time of process of Indonesian language learning are explained, reminded, reprimanded, emphasized, and asked.

This study aims to describe the function the code switching used by speakers at SMK Multi Karya Medan. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this study were the teacher and the students. The objects were the utterances of code-switching in Indonesian language learning in SMK Multi Karya Medan. Validity data technique is used triangulation of data source and informant review. Data collection is using listen and speak methods. Data analysis using the intralingual method. The result of the research showed that the function of code-switching at the time of the process of Indonesian language learning are emphasized, reprimanded, reminded, explained, asked and commanded.

The purpose of this study is to reveal the form and cause of social class opposition to the main character in drama the heirs based on the perspective of Marxist literary theory. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative research. The main data source in this study is the drama The Heirs. The technique of data collection is watching, reading, and record. While the technique of data analysis is Miles and Huberman model. The results of this study is: 1) the form of social class disagreement on the main character in the drama The Heirs is oppression; and 2) the cause of social class opposition to the main character in the drama The Heirs is: a) the relationship between the bourgeoisie and the proletarian class; and b) the implementation of hierarchical system in Jeguk High School.

Habituation of meditation is the characteristic of Buddhist education. The purpose of these research to describe the introduction and the habituation of meditation, techniques and objects meditation in the elementary Buddhis school. This is a descriptive qualitative research. Research sites in Jakarta and Tangerang from July to December 2017. Data collection by interview and documentation. The validity data with test credibility, dependability, confirmability, and transferbility. Data analysis using models of Miles & Huberman. The results of research is: introduction of meditation is a program derived from the policy of foundation, principal of school or Buddhist religion teacher; practice of meditation is regularly everyday or everyweek; Buddhist religion teachers become direct guides; the practice of meditation is done in class, cetiya, Dhamma class room, hall, or school yard; student concentrate on the object of meditation or listening positive sentences; meditation duration between 3 - 15 minutes according to grade level and meditation objectives. The teacher use an audio meditation guide, music instrument, bell, slide picture. Object meditation is breathing, lovingkindness, and contemplation.

The purpose of this research is to describe the professional competence of Grade IV Indonesian teachers at The Central Ende Catholic Primary School in Ende Regency. Professional competence relates to the teacher's ability to master materials and teaching tasks. This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research. Subjects in this study were Indonesian teachers, principals, and grade IV students. The object of this research is the professional competence of teachers of Bahasa Indonesia subjects. Data collection using interview, observation, and documentation methods. Data analysis is conducted descriptively qualitatively. Based on the results of this study, it is known that the professional competence of Indonesian teachers in grade IV in Catholic primary schools in Central Ende subdistrict is relatively good. Professional competencies that have been mastered by teachers include the ability of teachers in mastering materials, structures, concepts, and scientific mindsets, the ability of teachers in mastering the standard of competence and basic competencies of the Indonesian language, the ability of teachers in developing indonesian language learning materials creatively, and the ability of teachers in developing professionally in a sustainable manner. Thus, it can be concluded that the overall professional competence of indonesian language teachers in grade IV as threatening as Ende Tengah needs to be maintained and also organized efforts to continuously improve the professional competence of teachers in accordance with the development of science and technology.

Abstract The purpose of this study was to describe parenting patterns in developing children's social care. Parenting is a pattern of interaction between parents and children during care that has an important role in shaping the child's personality. Social care is a caring attitude towards the surrounding community. The research method uses descriptive qualitative research. The research location is Glengseran Hamlet, Suci Village, Panti District, Jember District. The method of selecting informants is purposive. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman's theories namely condensation, presentation, verification and conclusion. Data validity uses source triangulation.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pola asuh orang tua dalam mengembangkan kepedulian sosial anak. Pola asuh orang tua merupakan pola interaksi antara orang tua dan anaknya selama pengasuhan yang mempunyai peranan penting dalam pembentukan kepribadian anak. Kepedulian sosial merupakan sikap perduli terhadap masyarakat sekitar. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Lokasi penelitian yakni Dusun Glengseran Desa Suci Kecamatan Panti Kabupatrn Jember. Metode pemilihan informan dengan purposive. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan Teori Miles dan Huberman yakni kondensasi, penyajian, verifikasi dan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber.   Kata Kunci: pola asuh, orang tua, kepedulian sosial

The principal as a manager or leader must have a strategy in developing educational facilities and infrastructure. Educational facilities and infrastructure are one of important resources in supporting the learning process in schools. The purpose of this article is to describe the principal's strategy in improving infrastructure through the development of infrastructure. This article is qualitative field research. The form of the research is descriptive qualitative with the design of data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Furthermore, data analysis was carried out using descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of this article found that the principal's strategy in improving the quality of learning through the development of infrastructure at (Public High School) SMA Negeri 1 Jombang was quite effective and efficient, especially seen from the presence of CCTV facilities that made it easier for the principal to control the teachers, as well as students during the learning process and LCD can understand the material presented by the teachers. The principal strategy in developing infrastructure is through the planning stages of infrastructure, organizing infrastructure, mobilizing infrastructure, and controlling infrastructure. The conclusion from the explanation above is that the principal's strategy in improving the quality of learning through the development of infrastructure at SMA Negeri 1 Jombang seen from the CCTV and LCD facilities is quite good because after seeing the results achieved, it has fulfilled the objectives to be achieved, namely to improve the quality of learning.

<p align="center"><strong><em>ABSTRACT</em></strong></p><p><em>This study examines the film “</em><em>Aach…Aku Jatuh Cinta” (Aach...I Fall in Love). This study aims to find out the visualization of the setting as a timepiece in the film “Aach…Aku Jatuh Cinta” through the size of the image. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The selection of samples in this study was carried out by purposive sampling technique. Data collection is done by observation and interviews, while data analysis is done through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. Research focuses on setting as a timepiece visualized in the film “Aach…Aku Jatuh Cinta” through the size of the image. The objectives of this research are to find the types and the most dominant type of translation procedures of English into Indonesian Subtitle in “English Vinglish” Movie. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The data of this study are the words, clauses, and sentences in the subtitle movie both English and Indonesian. Data source is taken from “English Vinglish” Movie. The data collection procedure in this research is document analysis. From the result, it shows that the translation procedures used in subtitle English Vinglish movie consist of direct translation and oblique translation. In direct translation, it consists of literal translation as 148 data or 34.89%, borrowing as 82 data or 20.39 %, and calque as 0 data or 0 %. While, in oblique translation consist of transposition as 76 data or 18.67 %, equivalence as 62 data or 15.23 %, modulation as 32 data or 7.86 %, and adaptation as 6 data or 1.47 %. The most dominant type of translation procedures of English into Indonesian Subtitle in “English Vinglish” Movie is in direct translation, especially in literal translation. This study focuses on the form and function of code-switching and code-mixing used in the Fashion  Program "I LOOK " on NET TV. This study is aimed to answer the following problem: 1.What is the forms of code-switching and code-mixing used in the Fashion  Program "I LOOK" on NET TV, and What are the functions of code-switching and code-mixing in Fashion Program "I LOOK" on NET TV. To answer the problem, the writer used descriptive qualitative research through theoretical triangulation the total data 72 unit of analysis of code-switching found that  22 data used tag switching, 18 data used inter-sentential switching, and  32 used intra-sentential switching. It showed that intra-sentential switching is commonly used by  Kimmy  Jayanti in the fashion program "I LOOK" on NET TV. Furthermore, 127 unit data analysis of code-mixing performed 74 insertions of words, 48 insertions of phrases, 2 insertions of hybrids, and 3 insertions of reduplications. Meanwhile, there is 250 function of code-switching and code-mixing used by Kimmy  Jayanti in the fashin program "I LOOK" in  NET TV. They are quotation  1, addressee specification  24, repetition  1, interjection 31, message qualification 12, personalization and objectivization  15, and facility of expression  121.
