The article presents the results of the search for optimal forms of cooperation between teachers and students in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and distance learning. New realities require teachers to react quickly, make extraordinary decisions and take adequate action for the proper functioning of the education system. The expediency of using the competence approach and interactive teaching methods in the distance educational process is substantial. The dynamics of the use of e-learning elements in Ukrainian higher education institutions is trace in the dynamics, the advantages and disadvantages of this form of education are noted. Modern education should ensure the formation and comprehensive development of a spiritually rich person who not only has a holistic system of scientific and practical knowledge, but also able to realize themselves according to their own aspirations and abilities, able to navigate the rapid flow of information, has a high culture of thought, social relations and communications. Therefore, one of the important tasks of education is the formation of soft skills. They help to achieve success in life, to find a reasonable balance between academic knowledge and practical skills. The peculiarities of soft skills formation during distance learning are clarify. It is proposed to involve not only teachers, but also all stakeholders, first of all – students, from whom a lot of good advice can be heard. An example of a modern vision of the role of a teacher and a set of his/her qualities necessary for the successful organization of the educational process from the point of view of the student is presented. Such qualities include high level of knowledge, involvement in professional communities, ability to learn throughout life, use of the latest technologies, participation in social networks, stress resistance, ability to recover from stress, love of the profession and a certain sacrifice.

In the context of digitalization of all spheres of everyday, industrial and public life, higher and secondary vocational education have the opportunity to move to a new level using modern information and communication technologies and involve the largest possible student audience into the learning process. Experience in the field of distance learning over the past decades shows that this form of educational process organization has a number of advantages over traditional forms of training. Among these advantages are democracy, lower cost of training, the opportunity to participate in the educational process in conditions of territorial separation, combining training with other types of activities, etc. At the same time, in the process of distance learning, the teacher and students also face a number of problems associated with the lack of the possibility of personal and emotional non-verbal contacts, when communication "person-person" is replaced by communication "person-computer". In the context of the forced transition of all higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation to distance learning due to a difficult epidemic situation, it became possible to assess the advantages and disadvantages of this form of training from the point of view of full-time students who had no previous experience of on-line education. A comparative analysis of the opinions of first-year students of the Ural State University of Economics and the college of this university shows that the respondents named the main advantages of distance learning a greater freedom in conducting classes in the absence of constant control and the possibility of combining education with other activities. The main disadvantages are the lack of feedback from the teacher due to distancing, as well as technical problems. The lack of emotional contact with educators was found to be a more serious problem for college students than for university students. It can be concluded that distance learning is more in line with the needs and capabilities of adult learners, and specific forms of organizing classes need to be adapted to the conditions of a specific audience.

The article focuses on the methodological aspects of organizing communication between participants in the educational process in the context of using distance technologies. The main forms of organizing educational activities in distance learning are considered, depending on the level of technical equipment of the educational organization, the availability of personal devices, communication facilities and communication software. The modern services for organizing the interactive interaction of subjects of the educational process are described, their functionality and features in organizing communication are highlighted, the advantages and disadvantages are revealed. The article touches on the organization of the pedagogical process online from the point of view of the teacher's readiness to use modern digital technologies and depending of the level of development of students' communicative skills. The article presents a block diagram of an online lesson with the organization of group work, designed in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Basic General Education from the position of systematizing the actions of the teacher and students. At each stage of the online lesson (organizational, motivational-target, design, organizational-activity, evaluative, reflexive-semantic), the tasks of educational activities and methods for organizing communication are highlighted. The preparatory work of a teacher for conducting an online lesson in distance learning mode is disclosed in detail and the features of interaction are described that allow the teacher to recognize the psychological readiness of students for learning. Online etiquette is designed to help learners build productive relationships with classmates. The use of verbal and non-verbal communication methods in an online lesson expands the opportunities for students to interact with each other and with the teacher. The proposed methodological approaches to the use of digital means make it possible to activate the activities of students in the process of distance learning and to develop communication skills in practice.

The article considers the essence of development and dissemination of distance learning as an innovative technology in the Ukrainian and foreign education space in the context of the historical and pedagogical approach. The authors study the conditions of implementation of this education technology, teaching aids and features of teaching. An important point of the article is the analysis of the genesis of the educational process at different stages, positive and negative aspects of distance education, as well as the authors' own practical recommendations for using modern distance learning platforms taking into account the needs of education and information environment. A large number of works in modern general and professional pedagogy are devoted to the study of such an innovative education technology as distance learning. Using comparative and descriptive research methods, the history of this phenomenon in education is considered, the main pedagogical categories are identified, the advantages and disadvantages of the distance education application and difficulties of this technology implementation are identified. Despite the high level of the problem elaboration and introduction of distance learning in modern education, there is a need, taking into account modern realities, to analyse the significance and essence of this innovative approach in more details. The authors of the article consider modern distance learning platforms in terms of intensification of foreign language and other humanities learning. The necessity of distance education technologies implementation under conditions of modern technogenic civilisation is proved, when traditional models of organisation of the educational process fail to satisfy the education needs of a large number of population. The result of the work is a substantiated statement of the authors about the necessity to combine traditional and distance learning models to ensure the competitiveness of the modern educational process.

The article contains the description of the bases and starting points of primary physical education and sports day in Slovenia and other European countries. It presents the motivational point of view of the students at the implementation of distance learning for a sports day. There is a graphic display of the results of an online survey that was carried out among teachers and students of Komen primary school, branch of Štanjel. Fifty students from the 1st to 6th grade and 7 teachers took part in the survey. The purpose of the article is the research about what influences the motivation of students in distance learning. From the collected data it was found out that the ICT and interdisciplinary connection have played the most important role in the implementation of the sports day. The answers of the teachers show that besides the ICT devices, the weather, the family and interdisciplinary connections are the main motivators for the children. The students were very motivated at the implementation of the distance sports day. The teachers, as well as students, have found advantages and disadvantages in the organization of a distance sports day.

This work is devoted to the analysis of the digital tools that a modern teacher should possess to implement the educational process using distance learning technologies. Based on the conducted research, the main competencies that a teacher should have to conduct professional activities from the point of view of students were established. Digital tools are urgently needed to implement these competencies. In this paper, we will show our view on the algorithm for using digital tools in the educational process. A teacher should have a wide arsenal of digital tools: be able to use office programs, be able to search, to select, to analyze and to interpret information. To be able to create a teacher’s website, record digital audio and video content, to be able to place it for easy access for students, and, of course, be able to use the University’s learning management system.

Distance learning is the process of acquiring knowledge, abilities, skills and methods of human cognitive activity, it occurs mainly through the indirect interaction of participants in the educational process distant from each other in a specialized environment, it functions on the basis of modern psychological, pedagogical and information and communication technologies. In today’s world, distance learning is a must. This was shown by the existing COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of our work was to present teaching methods at the Department of Orthodontics of the Ukrainian Medical Dental Academy and to determine the advantages and disadvantages of distance education. To present theoretical and practically oriented content, organize independent work and control knowledge during quarantine, the possibilities of distance learning were used using the Google Classroom web service and using the ZOOM platform, Google-meet, which made it possible to use video, photographic materials, tables, control and diagnostic models, panoramic and other images, orthodontic appliances, orthodontic instruments. Distance learning technology is flexible than traditional. This is its advantage. It is aimed at those who study, creates a comfortable environment for the applicant for higher education to master the material 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Distance learning allows you to move away from the traditional system of teaching educational material. However, this teaching methodology requires a high level of teacher training. The teacher must have modern pedagogical and information technologies and be psychologically ready to work with applicants for education in a new educational and cognitive environment. The distance form of education must correspond to the methods of teaching in higher medical school. So, the material and technical clinical base of the Department of Orthodontics of the UMCA allows you to provide high-quality online training. But the spread of COVID-19 leads to day-to-day changes in all spheres of life, including healthcare, and the education system.

High competition in the educational service market and the necessity to provide advanced level of quality in training of specialists require introducing into traditional educational form a new format based on information technologies and interactive methods of educational process by research and educational staff of higher education institution. The specific of MOODLE using for distance learning during the quarantine COVID-19 is considered and its advantages and disadvantages for training management and administration specialists are discussed in the article. The questionnaire which was carried out by authors among students of the Accounting and Finance Faculty of the Centralukrainian National Technical University in terms of their attitude about LMS MOODLE use for distance training during spring semester of 2019–2020 academic year students shows the next results: Most of the students had a positive attitude to distance learning – 48,3 %, negative – 34,5 %, neutral – 17,2 %. From students prospective the main advantages were the opportunity to study and work at the same time (32.4 %) to plan more flexible study schedule (29.7 %). Existence of such negative situation as wish to cheat while performing tests and tasks in MOODLE. Difficulties for lecturers to control stand-alone basis tests and tasks performance by students. The main problem was the independent study of lectures and practical tasks by students without teachers’ support. To improve the effectiveness of training asynchronous Moodle or Google Classroom platforms and learning sessions in Zoom, Meet, Skype, etc should be combined. This approach allows visualizing educational material with presentations and simplifying training materials by students, as well as expanding opportunities for students with special educational needs to obtain professions in management and administration.

The research is devoted to the experimental verification of the effectiveness of multimedia language laboratories in foreign language learning (on the example of the specialty «Translation»). The study represents the capabilities of multimedia language laboratories in the foreign language learning and the advantages and disadvantages of their use. The article discusses the concepts of “multimedia technologies” as digital delivery of content using more than one medium which influences several perception channels of information, and “multimedia linguistic laboratories” as computer classrooms equipped with E-Presenter, multimedia projector, interactive whiteboard and peripheral equipment. Multimedia presentations, electronic studies manuals and Internet access are used to provide the future interpreters with necessary knowledge for doing translation. Modern multifunctional computer software gives the future interpreters the opportunity to form the competence in listening. The use of Skype and Viber helps to develop communicative skills providing communication and cultural interaction with native speakers. MLL’s software and hardware complex provides teachers with a powerful toolkit that helps to create, edit and save tests, conduct tests and collect results, quickly assess and comment on the answers. The statistical calculations confirmed that the implementation of multimedia technology in the educational process, the correct and systematic use of MLL in the foreign language learning, can not only diversify learning process, but also help the future interpreters to achieve a high level of the foreign language competence. The use of MLL revealed a number of methodological advantages over traditional ways of teaching. The authors see the prospects for further research in the creation of appropriate pedagogical conditions for implementing information and communication technologies in the process of training future interpreters.

This article is aimed at identifying the peculiarities of students' attitude to distance education. As a leading method, the questionnaire method was used, which made it possible to identify the students’ positive and negative attitudes regarding distance learning more effectively. The article considers students' ideas about distance learning, identifies the positive and negative aspects of the distance learning process. The authors of the article in the process of research revealed that many students of various fields of study are interested in participating in distance courses, but within the framework of mastering a second education. Some students note the usefulness of distance courses, the use of their materials at any time, and the convenience of going back to the materials they have completed at any time to fill in gaps or recall a topic. Some students reported a violation of the educational process in the distance format due to the repeated lack of Internet or its poor quality. Most of the students expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of contact communication in the distance learning process. It is proved that the majority of students believe that distance education will never replace traditional education. Mainly students of technical areas of study gave a negative assessment of the distance education system. It was revealed that students of various fields of study took distance courses that were held in other cities or countries. This study aimed at overcoming the obstacles of implementing educational leadership standards in the distance learning program in light of Corona pandemic from the school principals’ point of view in the Directorate of Education of the Northern Mazar District / Jordan. To achieve the aims of the study, the researcher purposefully selected the research sample (44 principals) in the Directorate of Education of the Northern Mazar. The descriptive-analytical approach was used. The study emphasized the importance of implementing the educational leadership standards by school principals in the Directorate of Education of the Northern Mazar. Moreover, the study revealed that there were no statistically significant differences at (α ≤ 5.0) between the responses of the study sample in the practice of school principals to the following educational leadership standards: leading the development of the school, the directorate development program, the community school. In addition, the study concluded that the leadership in the educational system is based on standards in the Directorate of Education of the Northern Mazar in the distance learning program according to the Gender variable. The study recommended that the standards of educational leadership should be implemented in distance learning programs, as an advanced technological system, to meet the challenges of the educational process.
