The results of the research on the influence of the drum type reactor design-technological parameters and the substrate`s physical-chemical parameters on the substrate`s components mixing evenness, that influence the quality of the received compost, are presented in this paper. By the method of the multifactor experiment rational values of the drum rotation speed, the blades (mounted on the inner drum surface) angle and the substrate`s moisture content are defined at which the components distribution homogeneity in the substrate reaches maximal value. The abovementioned, in turn, provides high compost quality by the agrichemical indices. The recommendations are given to pick the design parameters and operational modes of the drum type reactor.

The modifi ed submersible rotating biofi lter MSRB was developed and patented to improve the effi ciency and quality of treated wastewater from small sett lements in Syria by increasing the mass transfer rate and oxygen transfer rate of the drum-type rotating biofi lter without the need for additional aeration elements. The result of comparing the eff ect of two types of biomass carrier on the oxygen transfer rate OTR shows that the highest value of the OTR when using the fi rst biomass carrier (1) was 409 g/m3·h with a drum fi lling percentage of 60%, a rotation speed of 15 rpm and an immersion depth of 35% While the maximum value when using the second biomass carrier (2) was 518.95 g/m3·h with a drum fi lling percentage of 90%, a rotation speed of 15 rpm and an immersion depth of 15%. It can also be concluded that a change in the shape of the biomass carrier, as well as its density, signifi cantly aff ects the OTR of the biofi lter. In addition, changing the shape of the biomass carrier requires changing other technological parameters, such as the fi lling percentage of the drum, the depth of immersion and the rotation speed.

Improving the quality of pre-sowing tillage is a priority direction. Harrowing with the use of heavy disc harrows is one of the operations of pre-sowing tillage. An important task when using heavy disc harrows is to ensure sufficient load on the working body. (Research purpose) The research purpose is in increasing the efficiency of the harrowing process by adjusting the coupling weight in the tractor-harrow link using special devices. (Materials and methods) It is important to match the necessary condition of balance between the load on the working body and the traction qualities of the tractor with a low load-bearing capacity of the soil. The article describes a regulator of the coupling weight of the harrowing unit, for which was applied a patent. The article presents the general types of connection of the device with the disk harrow frame. (Results and discussion) The proposed device allows you to redistribute the weight of the unit, thereby automatically changing the load on the working body. Authors performed experimental studies on the influence of the main design parameters of the devices on the operation of the machine and tractor unit. (Conclusions) The proposed device allows, by expanding the design and technological parameters, to regulate the depth of processing, traction characteristics and speed of the harrowing unit.

In this paper, we consider the results of a study of the influence of the design and technological parameters of grinding machines of various modifications on the quality of wood pulp. According to the results of processing multifactor experiments implemented according to the second-order B-plan, a mathematical description was obtained of the dependence of the degree of grinding of pulp on the gap between the grinding disks, wear of the segments, the rotational speed of the lower screw and the concentration of pulp. The obtained regression models are adequate to the process and can be applied in practice for predicting the qualitative characteristics of wood pulp depending on the parameters of the grinding process. Analyzing the obtained experimental data, it can be noted that such factors as the state of the surfaces of grinding disks, the gap between them and the concentration of wood fiber have the greatest influence on the degree of grinding of the mass. Evaluation of graphical dependencies allows you to determine the extent to which you can vary the operating and design parameters of the grinding process to obtain wood fiber with the required grinding quality.

The aim of the study is the quality improvement of the feed mixture prepared and substantiation of the design and technological parameters of blade mixer batch- operated. The task is to set the functional dependence between the prepared mixtures quality and the empirical ratio of the intensity of mixing, taking into account the blades length in regard to values of the rotation frequency and the length of the blade of the batch-operated mixer, as well as the definition of rational length of the mixer blades. Improving the quality of mixture requires both the adding of all nec-essary nutrients and feed components into the volume of prepared portion of the mixture as stipulated by the recipe for mixture, and smooth distribution of components throughout the volume of ready feed. Smooth distribution of the mixture components is related to the design and operation of the mixer. Blade mixer batch- operated is one of the effective types of existing mixers, mixing the ingredients of feed with good quality. The article presents the result oriented design scheme of the blade mixer. Positive functions of the mixture quality and the empirical coefficient of mixing intensity included in their composition are assessed taking into account the length of the blades, depending on the rotation speed and frequency of the mixer. The graphic results of experimental studies taking into account the influence of the blade length and the speed of the mixer on the quality of the prepared mixture are given. The increase of blade length and rotation speed improves the quality of the mixture. Recommended blade length is 75...80 mm. With frequency of rotation increase and the length of the blades the total value of the empirical coeffi-cient of the intensity of mixing, depending on the effect of the length of the blades decreases at a slower pace. This is typical of the obtained hyperbolic dependence.

Приведены обзор существующих средств получения гомогенных фракций семян и результаты исследований влияния технологических параметров диэлектрического сепаратора на качество разделения семян пряноароматических культур семейства зонтичные (Apiaceae) для введения их в рецептуру пищевых продуктов. Измерение толщины полиэтиленового покрытия выполняли c применением тестеров CHYCA и CHYCB (Labthink Instruments, США), соответствующих требованиям стандартов ASTM и ISO. Тестер CHYСА обеспечивал автоматическую подачу образцов. Для контроля измерений использовали микрометр листовой с циферблатом для измерения толщины листов и лент (ГОСТ 650790). Специальная вытянутая форма скобы микрометра удобна для измерений толщин на некотором удалении от кромки листа. Установлены технологические параметры сепаратора диэлектрического лабораторного для семян укропа, тмина и кориандра: напряжение и частота питающей сети 230/50 В/Гц потребляемая мощность (0,7 0,2) кВт производительность (5,0 0,5 ) кг/ч напряжение на бифилярной обмотке 0,91,5 кВ. Провод для бифилярной обмотки АПВ2,5 количество фракций после сепарации 3 материал барабана бакелит (винипласт) диаметр барабана 220,0 мм длина образующей барабана 400,0 мм частота вращения рабочего органа 22,0 мин1 толщина полиэтиленового покрытия 4060 мкм количество обслуживающего персонала 1 чел. The review of existing means of obtaining homogeneous fractions of seeds and the results of studies of the influence of the technological parameters of the dielectric separator on the quality of the separation of seeds of aromatic cultures of the family Umbrella (Apiaceae) for their include in recipe of food products. The thickness measurement of the polyethylene coating was performed by a CHYCA or CHYCB tester manufactured by Labthink Instruments, USA, meeting the requirements of ASTM and ISO standards. Tester CHYCA provided automatically feed samples. For control measurements used the sheet with a micrometer dial for measuring the thickness of the sheets and strips (GOST 650790). The special elongated shape of the micrometer bracket is convenient for thickness measurements at some distance from the sheet edge. Preestablished technological parameters of the separator dielectric laboratory for fennel seeds, cumin and coriander: voltage and mains frequency 230/50 V/Hz drum material bakelite (viniplast) drum diameter 220,0 mm length of the forming drum 400,0 mm rotation speed of the working body 22 min1 thickness of polyethylene coating 4060 microns power consumption (0,7 0,2) kW productivity (5,0 0,5) kg/h voltage on a bifilar winding 0,91,5 kV. Polishing is usually the last working procedure of making die surface. The roughness of die surface affects using performance of die directly; therefore, surface roughness is a key factor to scale quality of die surface. The paper focuses on affecting factors of polishing surface roughness, including the rotation speed of polishing head, floating force on polishing head, pass of polishing head movement, feeding rate of polishing head, and size of abrasive particles. Then, establish the parameters database in order to select appropriate technological parameters expediently. These results are used as operating guides for applications of die polisher.

O Brasil apresenta grande disponibilidade de água doce em seus mananciais. Fazendo parte desse recurso encontra-se, o rio Paciência, localizado na Ilha do Maranhão destacado pela sua importância local, principalmente por contribuir com suas águas para recarga dos mananciais subterrâneos, fonte de abastecimento público de vários bairros de São Luís, capital do estado. No entanto, este rio vem sofrendo comprometimento da qualidade de suas águas, consequência do processo de uso e ocupação dos espaços em sua bacia. Destacando-se como um dos principais problemas relacionados a qualidade de ambientes fluviais,  a eutrofização, que consiste no processo em que o corpo d’água adquire elevados níveis de nutrientes (fosfatos e nitratos), é um indicador determinante da qualidade da água. Neste sentido, o objetivo deste trabalho foi caracterizar a qualidade da água e do estado trófico na bacia hidrográfica do rio Paciência atráves dos parâmetros fisico-químico evidenciando os trechos mais comprometidos conforme os valores alcançados nas análises. Os resultados das análises foram comparados com a CONAMA No. 357/05 que indicaram uma situação preocupante quanto à qualidade da água no local de estudo.Palavras-chave: Qualidade de água; Eutrofização; Ilha do Maranhão. ABSTRACTThe Brazil has great availability of fresh water in its springs. Within these contexts, the Paciência River, located on the Island of Maranhão stands out for its local importance, mainly for contributing its waters to the recharge of the underground springs, source of public supply of several districts of São Luís, capital of the state. However, this river has been compromising the quality of its waters, a consequence of the process of use and occupation of the spaces in its basin. Highlighting as one of the main problems related to the quality of fluvial environments, eutrophication, which consists of the process in which the body of water acquires high levels of nutrients (phosphates and nitrates), is a determinant indicator of water quality. In this sense, the objective of this work was to characterize the water quality and trophic status in the Paciência river basin through the physico-chemical parameters, showing the most compromised stretches according to the values reached in the analyzes. The article shows the need to develop diagnostic methods for monitoring the quality of lubrication systems, which makes it possible to study the dynamic processes of contacting elements of the friction systems of instrument mechanisms, taking into account roughness parameters, the presence of local surface defects of elements and the bearing capacity of a lubricant. In the present article, a modern diagnostic model has been developed to control the quality of the processes of production and operation of friction systems of instrument assemblies. With the help of the developed model, it becomes possible to establish the relationship of diagnostic and design parameters of the mechanical system, as well as the appearance of possible local defects and lubricant state, which characterize the quality of friction systems used in many mechanical assemblies of the mechanisms of devices. The research results are shown in the form of nomograms to assess the defects of the elements of friction mechanisms of the mechanisms of the devices.
