Gender discourse in sufism tends to attract attentions. Such charm emerges due to the fact that the Sufism is originally genderless. Sufism isn't bound nor chained by gender whether it is masculinity or feminity. However, the reality displays the other way around. Therefore, the current study attempts to capture women's position in the discourse of tasawwuf. Library research is employed as the research method of this study. Although gender domination is displayed in the early academic papers of Sufism, the existance of female Sufis have been proven throughout history. In the context of Sufism, masculinity would not emerge without feminity. Such statement only proves that there is no superiority between masculinity and femininity since both display a causal relationship. The research result showed that tasawwuf is free from feminine or masculine attributes. The gender construction in tasawwuf doesn't lay on the gender of the sufi but on the degree of feminity and masculinity of their psychiatric attributes which are reflected in their behaviour and acts. In the context of sufism, masculinity, which is socially considered as something dominant, substantially has "flaw". This is because masculinity would not emerge if there's no feminity. This is a mysterious great power of feminity in Sufism discourse. In short, there is no superiority between masculinity and feminity. Both are equal and as a result of love.

<p><span lang="IN">Seiring lahirnya berbagai pemahaman terhadap hadis-hadis Nabi, pada saat itulah keragaman umat Muslim dalam menyikapi isu-isu tentang seni akan selalu hangat dan tidak pernah usai diperbincangkan dalam pemikiran muslim. Ada yang memandang bahwa seni merupakan suatu hal yang dilarang olah Nabi. Disisi lain, ada yang memandang bahwa seni merupakan salah satu yang dianjurkan oleh Nabi</span><span>, b</span><span lang="IN">aik </span><span>dalam </span><span lang="IN">seni musik, seni menggambar, seni melukis, dan </span><span>seni lainnya</span><span lang="IN">. Tujuan penelitian ini akan mengkaji seni dalam sudut pandang ma’ani al-hadis<em> </em>terhadap teks-teks hadis dengan melihat <em>sosio-historis</em> dan implikasinya terhadap Islam. Hal inilah yang harus dibenahi oleh cendekia-cendekia muslim agar hadis-</span><span>hadis</span><span lang="IN"> Nabi dimaknai secara objektif dengan tidak meninggalkan teks dan konteks hadis yang disampaikan. Adapun metode penelitian</span><span> yang digunakan</span><span lang="IN"> yaitu <em>library research</em> </span><span>dengan</span><span lang="IN"> cara </span><span>m</span><span lang="IN">engumpul</span><span>k</span><span lang="IN">an data dalam buku, </span><span>artikel</span><span lang="IN">, jurnal, dan berbagai macam literatur-literatur </span><span>yang </span><span lang="IN">terkait</span><span> dengan</span><span lang="IN"> permasalahan yang dikaji </span><span lang="IN">untuk menemukan hasil. Hasil penelitian ini melalui kajian ma’ani al-hadis adalah bahwa konsep seni merupakan suatu hal yang dicontohkan oleh Nabi, dan seni pada hakikatnya boleh saja dipraktikkan dalam konteks kekinian yang tidak menunjukkan pada sebuah larangan. Through the emergence of various understandings of the Prophet's traditions, at this time the diversity of Muslims in addressing issues regarding art will always be </span><span>updated</span><span lang="IN"> and will never finish being discussed in Muslim thought. There are those who think that art is something that was forbidden by the Prophet. On the other hand, there are those who think that art is one of the things that the Prophet likes, </span><span>such as</span><span lang="IN"> music, drawing, painting art, and other arts. The purpose of this research is to examine art from the perspective of ma'ani al-hadith towards hadith texts by looking at the socio-historical and its implications for Islam. This is what Muslim scholars need to fix so that the Prophet's traditions are interpreted objectively without leaving the text and context of the hadiths being conveyed. The research method used is library research by collecting data in books, articles, journals, and various kinds of literature related to the problems being studied </span><span lang="IN">to find </span><span>the </span><span lang="IN">results. </span><span lang="IN">The result of this research through the study of ma'ani al-hadith is that the concept of art is something that was exemplified by the Prophet, and art in essence may be practiced in a contemporary context that does not indicate a prohibition. Iqrar is a form of bayyinah or evidence which could be tendered during trial at the syariah court. The syariah evidential principles renders it relevant and admissible with varying effect. Iqrar sorih or confession, once admitted by court, would become binding against the accused. In such a scenario, the court may convict the accused based on such confession without any need for further proof. On the other hand, the court may also admit an admission or iqrar kinayah but it could never convict the accused based on such admission alone. In other words, based on admissibility of such admission, a court could only convict the accused should such admission is further corroborated and strengthened by other evidence. This article however observes that the strength of a confession very mush depends on voluntariness of the maker of the confession. There is also some confusion among syariah practitioners as regards to the difference between both forms of iqrar. The conducted research is pure legal and qualitative in nature. Data and materials on iqrar confession and admission are collected via library research method. These data and materials are then analysed using critical and content methodologies.. This article analyses the relevancy and admissibility of iqrar confession and admission in the eyes of syariah evidential principles. It then strives at identifying problems relating to its admissibility and interpretation. This article eventually offers some ideas on ways of avoiding future misinterpretation of iqrar while simultaneously looking into some ideas on how to improve its application.

Children and education are two related elements to each other. Both the central and local governments have also issued policies that govern the education of children. But in fact, education for the street children has been still faced with some obstacles during the implementation. This research was conducted in Padang Municipality. This research was the result of the field studies to describe and analyze how was the effort of the fulfillment of the education rights of the street children in Padang Municipality. The research was conducted using qualitative research method where data collection techniques by interviews with several related stakeholders to this policy, observed the phenomena that have related to the policy, and do library research from any references such as the government's document and scientific research and tested with by triangulation sources techniques. The research result shows that there are some difficulties during the fulfillment of street children's education to implement by the few stakeholders. In addition, the incapability of these polices to provided clarity to each process of the policy implementation so that the output of the policy has not been able to be reached to the maximum

As well as other learning process, the successful Arabic learning can be achieved through several steps. This study aims to explain those steps, and it uses library research. Method of this study covers finding data and sources related to the contrastive analysis in Arabic learning; analyzing the data as well as the sources; and drawing conclusion. The approach used in the learning process can be categorized as a learning difficult foreign language, if it is considered as the perspective in understanding the material. The difficult language is particularly the one that has different systems/subsystems with mother tongue. On the other hand, if the approach is considered as a belief, the successful key to achieve is the use of contrastive analysis. We have to work hard to overcome students' learning difficulties by doing contrastive approach and analysis firstly. However, the most significant part is the goal using contrastive analysis. As the result of this study, hopefully learning Arabic occurs progressively, and absolutely the teaching materials and learning steps need teachers’ ability in mastering the contrasted languages. That is the main factor in achieving the learning to be developed further in using this approach.

Abstract Bawean is an archipelago administratively included in Gresik Regency, where the main occupation of the people is farming and fishing, but not all of the people have land to farm and ships to go to sea, and not a few who work in Malaysia and Singapore have even become citizens of that country. so that the land and rice fields below are unproductive, so there is cooperation between landowners and tenants or cultivators, in agricultural practices, landowners and processors or workers often make contracts and agreements in such cooperation, as well as in the village of Lebak, the agreement sees to the weather, or irrigation used to irrigate rice fields, and the yields obtained during the rainy season in certain months are different, there are at least three cooperation systems in the muzara'ah contract implemented there, in this study the three systems were analyzed to determine which in accordance with Islamic law , of the three, there are two agreements that use the muzara’ah contract, and the other one uses the ijarah agreement or lease agreement. The aim of this research is to classify the kinds, functions of taboo words, and the factors which cause the characters use the taboo words in the movie. Data were analyzed by using taboo words theory by Michael Swan and factors underlying cursing theory by Timothy Jay. The data were taken from 21 Jump Street movie. In this research, library research method is used in analyzing taboo words in 21 Jump Street movie. The procedures of the research are: first, the movie is watched and the topics for the paper are found. Second, the theory in the books and internet are found. Third, the movie script is searched and the taboo words are classified. The last, the taboo words in 21 Jump Street movie are discussed and analyzed by using Michael Swan and Timothy Jay theories. Based on the result of the analysis, there are three kinds of taboo word that found in 21 Jump Street movie: (1) religion, (2) private parts of the body and sexual activity, and (3) lavatory. Private parts of the body and sexual activity has the biggest number of occurrence, while the smallest number of taboo words’ kind is religion. There are six functions of using taboo words that I found in the movie. They are: insult, exclamation of annoyance, surprised question, exclamation of surprise, emphasize an emotion, and miscellaneous. The most appeared function is to insult and the smallest is as a surprised question. Furthermore, the reason of the characters in 21 Jump Street movie to used taboo words are based on the situation and context. On the other hand, there are three reasons of using taboo words which found in the movie, such as psychological condition, social class, and ethnic group. Psychological condition has the biggest number of occurrence, while the smallest is social class.

This paper explores how Abdullah Yusuf Ali interpreted the Jews in his tafseer book; The Holy Qur’an: Text, Translation and Commentary. His interpretation becomes worth to discuss due to his profile as a Moslem officer of Great Britain which politically supported the contemporary Jews in Israel. Additionally, Yusuf Ali was the big fan of the concept of inter-faith dialogue. On the other hand, he was so proud of being a Moslem so that he wrote an English translation and commentary of the Koran in order international society can understand Islam well. This paper is going to show how Yusuf Ali put himself as a Moslem and at the same time, a Britain officer, (and also admirer) who also lived in non-Moslem milieus. The discussion will explore two parts. The first one is the diction(s) used by Yusuf Ali to interpret the Jews verses, while the second is the contemporary contextualization on his interpretation on Jews verses into nowadays life. Using library research method through primary and secondary references combined with a hermeneutical approach, this paper comes to the following conclusion. First, there found five dictions to mention the Jews at the Jews verses, which are Jews, those who followed the Jewish law, those that stand on Judaism, those who follow the spirit of Moses and those who follow the Jewish scripture.  Second, by the diverse diction, Yusuf Ali implied that The Jews is all about the spirit and physical action of individual instead of religious institution or affiliation.

Research method using library research. Result of research indicate that there are three things should be done by pesantren in doing transformation include : First. Pesantren must use practical purposes that  producing a generation of Islam. not only a smart serve smart vertically but also horizontally. Second: Pesantren must use ideological purposes it should be pesantren as main pillars of  <em>aqidah</em> who ruled the General Science. Third : Pesantren make changes to the format, shape, orientation and method of education with no change the vision, mission and spirit of boarding, but the change only on the outside only, while on the side in the still retained  <em></em></p><p class="Default"><strong><em><br /></em></strong></p><p><strong><em>Abstrak</em></strong></p><p>Fenomena Pesantren telah mengadopsi pengetahuan umum tetapi tetap mempertahankan pengajaran buku-buku klasik sebagai upaya untuk meneruskan tujuan utama dari lembaga, yaitu untuk mendidik para  ulama. Dalam upaya melakukan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di era global, maka pesantren perlu melakukan transformasi. Metode penellitian menggunakan library research. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada tiga hal yang seharusnya dilakukan oleh pesantren dalam melakukan transformasi meliputi : Pertama. Pesantren  harus memiliki tujuan praktis yang menghasilkan satu generasi Islam tidak hanya pintar melayani secara vertikal tetapi juga secara horizontal. Kedua: Pesantren harus memiliki tujuan ideologis, seharusnya pesantren sebagai pilar utama pembentukan aqidah yang menguasai Ilmu Pengetahuan Umum; ketiga: Pesantren melakukan perubahan pada format, bentuk, orientasi dan metode pendidikan tanpa mengubah visi, misi dan semangat pesantren, tetapi perubahan hanya di luar saja, sementara di sisi dalam masih dipertahankan</p>

This study discusses educational evaluations that focus on the characteristics of excellent tests. Evaluation has an important role in the success of learning, and one way to do evaluation is by testing. If the quality of evaluation activities is good, the resulting data can be used to decide about students and to improve the curriculum. Conversely, if the evaluation is of inferior quality, it will mislead decision makers. Therefore, an excellent test is important to know to improve the quality of evaluation. The research method used is qualitative research using the library research method, by collecting related documents, appropriate and valid data. Then analyzed and criticized by being critically indicated ​​the existing discourses to present a research result. The results of the study show that the characteristics of an excellent test are: 1) Validity, the measuring instrument can calculate what is being measured or revealed through the test. 2) Reliability, the results of measurements made using the test repeated on the same subject the results remain the same or are stable in the group. 3) Objectivity, meaning that in carrying out the test there are no subjective factors that influence mainly in the score system. 4) Practices, both practicality related to the implementation and ease of examination. 5) Economical, does not spend a lot of cost, energy and a lot of time. However, all efforts made to present excellent tests must be accompanied by the seriousness of the educator in evaluating the next stage, such as the measurement and assessment process. So that the data generated accurately and evaluation can help develop the learning process under the purpose of the evaluation.

Abstract The narratives of the cause of revelation (Asbab al-Nuzul) play a decisive role in the interpretation of Quranic verses. On the other hand, when coming across with these narratives, presuppositions, and precomprehensions play an important role in selecting them.   This research tries to study the narratives of the cause of revelation in the Tafsir al Munir fi al Aqidah wa al Shariah wa al Manhaj (by Karya Wahbah al Zuhaili) and explain the role of Wahbah al Zuhaili’s religious presuppositions and precomprehensions in selecting narratives related to the cause of revelation (Asbab al-Nuzul). This study uses library research method that has been discussing the subject with a descriptive-analytical approach. This research shows that in many cases, Wahbah al Zuhaili has been influenced by religious presuppositions and precomprehenstion and has used them to develop his interpretative goals.
