Abstract: Dental caries is caused by email and dentin demineralization. In general, school age children have a high caries risk because they like to consume cariogenic foods. This was a descriptive analytical study with a cross sectional approach. This study aimed to obtain the relationship between cariogenic food consumption and dental caries status among students of SMP Negeri 1 Tareran.The whole study population as many as 258 students were used as samples. Primary data consisted of the dental caries examination to obtain the number of dental caries status (DMF-T) and of the questionnaire by using Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) to obtain the consumption of cariogenic foods. The results showed that cariogenic food consumption of the majority of students in SMP Negeri 1 Tareran was categorized as occasionally which meant several times weekly. Dental caries status of the students belonged to the low category with an average DMF-T 1,82 which meant each student had two caries teeth. The statistical test showed that there was a relationship between consumption of cariogenic food and dental caries status.Keywords: consumption of cariogenic foods, dental caries statusAbstrak: Karies gigi merupakan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh demineralisasi email dan dentin. Pengambilan data primer yaitu pemeriksaan karies gigi untuk melihat status karies gigi (DMF-T) dan pengisian kuesioner dengan menggunakan Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) untuk melihat konsumsi jajanan pada siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Tareran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi jajanan sebagian besar siswa SMP Negeri 1 Tareran termasuk dalam kategori kadang-kadang yakni beberapa kali dalam seminggu. Status karies gigi siswa SMP Negeri 1 Tareran termasuk dalam kategori rendah dengan rata-rata DMF-T 1,82 yang artinya siswa mengalami karies rata-rata 2 gigi. Hasil uji statistik yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan konsumsi jajanan dan status karies gigi.Kata kunci: konsumsi jajanan, status karies gigi

Introduction: Dental caries are a disease that damages tissue caused by emial and dentine Demineralization especially school-age children generally caries due to high interest and become a favorite in consuming kariogenic food So that the consumption pattern of karyogenic foods is very high. The purpose of this research is to know the relationship of consumption patterns of karyogenic foods with dental carise. Method: Design research using descriptive analytic and cross sectional approach in 131 elementary school children with the technique of random sempling. Questionnaire to measure consumption patterns of karyogenic foods ie FFQ (food frequency questionnere) and dental caries test with DMF-T (Decay Missing Filled-Teeth). The analysis of this research uses the Chi-square test. Result: This study describes the high carcinogenic food consumption pattern of 77 respondents (58.8%), and children with dental caries of 33 respondents (61.1%). Describing the food consumption pattern of kariogenic foods with the incidence of dental caries on the children of SDN Rangkapan Jaya Baru Depok with results and P-value (0.000). Discussion : The pattern of consumption of cariogenic food with the incidence of dental caries in children at SDN X showed the majority of the pattern of consumption of high cariogenic food and children with dental caries. The results of the analysis show that there is a relationship between cariogenic food consumption patterns and the incidence of dental caries in children. In conclusion there was a relationship of kariogenic food consumption pattern with the incidence of dental caries.

Teeth caries common in primary school children are caused by cariogenic food consumption habits. The children like to cousume cariogenik food, because it has a sweet and tasty. Dental caries is a disease of dental hard tissue (email, dentin). Objective of this study was to determine the relationship Cariogenik Consumption Eating Relations With Caries In School Age Children. This study uses correlation design with cross sectional approach. The study population are 105 students in grade I and II, sample 51 students whose teeth have not experienced loose teeth taken by simple random sampling method. The statistical test used the Spearman test.The results of this study showed respondents who frequently consume cariogenic foods as are 28 students (54.9%). Respondents who have dental caries are 37 students (72.5%) and respondents who did not happen dental caries are 14 students (27.5%). Results obtained spearman test p-value = 0.000 so that the alternative hypothesis is accepted. the Conclusion of this study, there is  relationship between cariogenik consumption with caries is habits and caries.The from this study that the cariogenic foods can cause dental caries. So less consumption of cariogenic foods (candy, chocolate, ice cream and biscuits) can reduce the number of dental caries in MI AL-Hidayah Madiun.

Abstract – In 2015 the Maternal Mortality Rate in Indonesia was 305 / 100,000 live births and preeclampsia is still one of the factors causing maternal mortality in Indonesia, nutrition intake in pregnant women is one of the predisposing factors for the occurrence of preeclampsia. The aim of this research is aims to describe the incidence of preeclampsia based on diet and Adequacy Rate of Nutrition (AKG) in pregnant women at the Kindergarten II Dustira Hospital, Cimahi City in 2019. This study uses a descriptive method with a cross sectional approach. Samples were taken using simple random technique with a sample of 56 respondents. Data were collected using primary data through interviews with pregnant women using a semi-Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) questionnaire and studied with the AKG, and then analyzed using univariate analysis. The results showed that pregnant women with a poor diet, almost half of them had preeclampsia as much as 46.7% and pregnant women who had a low RDA, most of them were preeclampsia as much as 54.2%. The conclusion of this study is that almost half of pregnant women experience preeclampsia and have a low AKG. Suggestion, prevention of preeclampsia is very important, one of which is by improving the diet of pregnant women in accordance with the Guidelines for Balanced Nutrition.   Abstrak – Pada tahun 2015 Angka Kematian Ibu di Indonesia sebanyak 305/100.000 kelahiran hidup dan preeklampsia masih merupakan salah satu faktor penyebab kematian ibu di Indonesia, asupan nutrisi pada ibu hamil menjadi salah satu faktor predisposisi terjadinya preeklampsia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran kejadian preeklampsia berdasarkan pola makan dan Angka Kecukupan Gizi (AKG) pada ibu hamil di Rumah Sakit TK II Dustira Kota Cimahi tahun 2019. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik simple random dengan sampel sebanyak 56 responden. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer melalui wawancara kepada ibu hamil dengan menggunakan kuesioner semi Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) dan dikaji dengan AKG, dan selanjutnya dianalisa menggunakan analisa univariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ibu hamil dengan pola makan kurang, hampir separuhnya mengalami preeklampsia sebanyak 46,7% dan ibu hamil yang mempunyai AKG yang kurang sebagian besar preeklampsia sebanyak 54.2%. Simpulan dari penelitian ini hampir separuhnya ibu hamil mengalami preeklampsia dan mempunyai AKG yang kurang. Saran, pencegahan preeklampsia sangat penting dilakukan salah satunya dengan memperbaiki pola makan ibu hamil yang sesuai dengan Pedoman Gizi Seimbang.

Abstract: Dental caries or tooth decay is commonly found in the society. It is caused by demineralization of enamel and dentin. Children usually have a habit of eating cariogenic foods that can cause cavities in their teeth. This study was aimed to obtain the profile of cariogenic foods consumed by the elementary school students of GMIM 1 Kawangkoan. This was a descriptive study with a cross sectional design conducted at SD GMIM 1 Kawangkoan, Minahasa. Samples were elementary school students of GMIM 1 Kawangkoan aged 6-11 years obtained by using total sampling method. Primary data were about cariogenic food consumption obtained by using food frequency questionnaire (FFQ). The results showed that there were six kinds of cariogenic foods consumed by the students, as follows: candy, chocolate wafer, chocolate bar, chocolate bread, donate cake, and pudding. According to the kategory of consumption frequency, candy belonged to very often (46.92%); chocolate bar, often (24.93%); chocolate bread, sometimes (20.37%); and pudding, nearly never (33.32%). Conclusion: The most common cariogenic food consumed by the students was candy which belonged to the very often category.Keywords: consumption of cariogenic food, children Abstrak: Gigi berlubang (karies gigi) merupakan masalah yang sering ditemukan di masyarakat. Karies gigi merupakan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh demineralisasi email dan dentin. Anak-anak memiliki kebiasaan mengonsumsi makanan kariogenik yang dapat menyebabkan gigi berlubang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran konsumsi makanan karogenik pada anak SD GMIM 1 Kawangkoan. Jenis penelitian ialah deskriptif dengan desain potong lintang. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SD GMIM 1 Kawangkoan Kecamatan Kawangkoan Kabupaten Minahasa. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa SD GMIM 1 Kawangkoan berusia 6-11 tahun, diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode total sampling. Pengambilan data primer untuk melihat konsumsi makanan kariogenik melalui pengisian kuesioner menggunakan food frequency questionnaire (FFQ). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan enam jenis makanan kariogenik yang dikonsumsi, yaitu: permen, wafer coklat, coklat batang, roti coklat, donat dan puding. Berdasarkan kategori frkuensi konsumsi, permen tergolong sangat sering (46,92%); coklat batang, sering (24,93%); roti coklat, kadang-kadang (20,37%); puding, hampir tidak pernah (33,32%). Simpulan: Konsumsi makanan kariogenik paling tinggi yaitu permen yang tergolong dalam kategori sangat sering.Kata kunci: konsumsi makanan kariogenik, anak-anak

Dental caries in children is a serious problem in oral health. In Indonesia prevalence of dental caries reached 90,05% in 2013. In Bogor prevalence of dental caries reached 60% in 2011. Primary of school age children are one group that is susceptible to get oral disease. Dental caries occur in children beacuse children like foods that are cariogenic which could mislead dental caries. The a ims of this study are determine the correlation cariogenic food consumption with behavior dental caries of school age children (7-9 year) in Mardiyuana Regency Bogor. This study used deskriptif analitik design and cross sectional approach. Technique sampling this study means with a total sampling with the number of respondents 98 people. Data collection was obtained througt a questionnaire. Statistic test shows that H0 was rejact and Ha acceped. Where the value is calculated by chi square test 0,000< 0,05 and using significancy level is 95%. The final conclution statustic test is a relationship between the consumption of cariogenic food with dental caries, so that, it can determine the correlation of cariogenic food with dental cariesof school age children (7-9year) in Mardiyuana regency Bogor.

Abstract: In children, caries occurs mostly at the age of 6 to 9 years. At the age of 6 years permanent molar teeth begin to erupt, therefore, they are more susceptible to caries. Moreover, at the age of 9 years, a period of mingled teeth where the number of permanent teeth and of the milk teeth are nearly the same. This study aimed to obtain the prevalence of dental caries of the first permanent molar among students of elementary schools in South Tomohon. This was a descriptive study with a cross-sectional design. The population of this study was 72 students aged 6-9 years old. Samples were obtained by using total sampling method. Primary data were obtained by examination of the teeth and mouth. The results showed that the prevalence of caries among students of elementary schools in South Tomohon was 68.1% (49 students). Based on gender, caries were most frequent among males (68.4%). Based on age, caries were most frequent among students of 8 years old (79.2%). Based on tooth element, tooth 36 had the highest incidence of caries (37.2%). Based on the severity of caries, dentine caries was the most frequent (46.51%).Keywords: dental caries, the first permanent molarAbstrak: Karies merupakan penyakit yang banyak menyerang anak-anak terutama umur 6 sampai 9 tahun. Pada umur 6 tahun gigi molar permanen sudah mulai tumbuh sehingga lebih rentan terkena karies dan umur 9 tahun merupakan periode gigi bercampur dimana jumlah gigi permanen dan gigi sulung dalam rongga mulut hampir sama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prevalensi karies gigi molar satu permanen pada anak di SD kecamatan Tomohon Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif observasional dengan pendekatan potong lintang. Populasi penelitian yaitu anak umur 6 - 9 tahun di SD kecamatan Tomohon Selatan dengan jumlah 72 orang. Sampel penelitian digunakan total sampling. Metode pengambilan data secara primer yaitu dengan pemeriksaan gigi dan mulut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan prevalensi karies pada anak-anak di SD kecamatan Tomohon Selatan mencapai 68,1% dengan jumlah 49 anak. Berdasarkan jenis kelamin angka kejadian karies tertinggi didapatkan pada anak laki-laki mencapai 26 anak (68,4%). Berdasarkan usia angka kejadian karies tertinggi didapatkan pada usia 8 tahun mencapai 19 anak (79,2%). Berdasarkan elemen gigi, gigi 36 merupakan yang paling tinggi angka kejadian kariesnya yaitu 32 gigi (37,2%) dan berdasarkan tingkat keparahan karies kejadian karies dentin yang paling tinggi yaitu mencapai 40 gigi (46,51%).Kata kunci: karies gigi, molar satu permanen

Faktor gizi merupakan salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi kemampuan belajar anak, termasuk pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) yang berada pada usia remaja dan disiapkan sebagai tenaga terampil sesuai bidang keahliannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan faktor gizi yang meliputi asupan energi dan zat gizi (karbohidrat, protein, lemak, zat besi, vitamin C, dan zink), kebiasaan sarapan, dan status gizi dengan prestasi belajar pada siswa SMK di Sleman, DIY. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional cross sectional pada 100 siswa kejuruan dengan jurusan bidang teknik kendaraan ringan yang berasal dari SMKN 2 Depok, SMKN 1 Seyegan dan SMK Muhammadiyah Prambanan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner karakteristik individu dan semi kuantitatif Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ). Status gizi ditentukan dengan indikator IMT/U dan prestasi belajar diukur dari nilai ujian praktik mata pelajaran kejuruan. Analisis data menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan subjek memiliki asupan energi defisit (68%), protein defisit (40%), lemak defisit (57%), karbohidrat defisit (65%), vitamin C defisit (27%), zat besi defisit (59%), zink defisit (93%), status gizi normal (67%), dan kebiasaan sarapan jarang (35%). Tidak terdapat hubungan antara tingkat asupan energi dan zat gizi serta status gizi dengan prestasi belajar (p>0,05) tetapi ada hubungan signifikan antara kebiasaan sarapan (p=0,010) serta pekerjaan ayah dan ibu (p=0,030 dan p=0,031) dengan prestasi belajar. Disimpulkan bahwa kebiasaan sarapan merupakan faktor gizi yang berhubungan dengan prestasi belajar siswa SMK.

Abstract A validation study of an interviewer-administered, seven-day semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire (7-d SQFFQ) was conducted in Bangladeshi rural preschool age children. Using a cross-sectional study design, 105 children from 103 households were randomly selected. For the SQFFQ, a list of commonly consumed foods was adapted from the Bangladesh national micronutrient survey 2011–12. The data on the actual number of times and the amount of the children's consumption of the foods in the preceding 1 week were collected by interviewing the mothers. The intake was compared with two non-consecutive days 24-h dietary recalls conducted within 2 weeks after the SQFFQ. Validity was assessed by the standard statistical tests. After adjusting for the energy intake and de-attenuation for within-subject variation, the food groups (cereals, animal source foods, milk and the processed foods) had ‘good’ correlations between the methods (rho 0⋅65–0⋅93; P < 0⋅001). Similarly, the macronutrients (carbohydrate, protein and fats) had ‘good’ correlations (rho 0⋅50–0⋅75; P < 0⋅001) and the key micronutrients (iron, zinc, calcium, vitamin A, etc.) demonstrated ‘good’ correlations (rho 0⋅46–0⋅85; P < 0⋅001). The variation in classifying the two extreme quintiles by the SQFFQ and the 24-h recalls was <10 %. The results from Lin's concordance coefficients showed a ‘moderate’ to ‘excellent’ absolute agreement between the two methods for food groups, and nutrients (0⋅21–0⋅90; P < 0⋅001). This interviewer-administered, 7-d SQFFQ with an open-ended intake frequency demonstrated adequate validity to assess the dietary intake for most nutrients and suitable for dietary assessments of young children in Bangladesh.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the association between non-nutritive sweetener (NNS) consumption and stress and anxiety, among a sample of college students. Two-hundred and twenty-seven students from a large mid-western university participated in this cross-sectional study. Students completed an online survey that evaluated NNS using a validated food frequency questionnaire. Stress and anxiety were evaluated using previously validated instruments. Most students reported very low/low/average concern for stress (63.9%), and had low/moderate anxiety (82.3%). Participants experiencing high and very high levels of stress had significantly higher NNS consumption compared to those with a very low and low risk, and concern for stress ( p < .046; d = 0.28). There was no difference however for NNS intake and anxiety. Reduction of artificial sweetener intake may be associated with stress levels among college students. However, more research is needed to examine any causal relationship between artificial sweetener intake and stress.
