ABSTRACT Study aims (a) to determine the effectiveness of Trichoderma sp., combination PGPR and Trichoderma sp., and PGPR to the development of diseases that attack strawberry plants, (b) to study the effect of application of Trichoderma sp., combination PGPR and Trichoderma sp. and PGPR for strawberry production.  The experiment was conducted in the village Rurukan (Mahawu), subdistrict Tomohon Timur.  Study lasted from March to August 2013.  Experiments using a randomized block design with 4 treatments, as follows: Treatment A = Trichoderma sp., Treatment B = PGPR, Treatment C = combination of Trichoderma sp. and PGPR, and Treatment D = Control.  The experiment was repeated 4 times.  Data were analyzed using Minitab software ver. 14.  Things that observed the symptoms of disease, number of shoots, roots and heavy weight of strawberries.  The results showed that strawberry plants are not attacked by various diseases. Fungus Verticillium sp. encountered attack strawberry plants with very low intensity.  The average number of shoots ever encountered on the 6.25 shoots PGPR treatment and lowest in the control treatment, ie 2.20 shoots .  The average weight of the heaviest roots found in the PGPR treatment and 68.75 grams of the lowest in the control treatment, which is 13.50 grams.  The average weight of the fruit of the highest found in the 731.25 grams of PGPR treatment and lowest in the control treatment fruit weighing 417.50 grams. ABSTRACT   The experiment was conducted in the village of Touure, Tompaso District, Minahasa regency since April to August 2013. Designed studies using randomized block design with 3 treatments, namely fruit extract Bitung (treatment A), tuba root extract (treatment B) and water (control treatment), each treatment was repeated 3 times. Results showed that that the extract of Barringtonia asiatica and Derris elliptica has a botanical insecticide to control the properties of N. tenuis. Applications B. asiatica extract and D. elliptica were not significantly different, but both are significantly different from controls. In addition to N. tenuis found several Plant Pest Organisms (OPT) that attack tomato plants including pest Liriomyza sp., leafhoppers tomatoes., black stem base diseases, leaf spot diseases and viral diseases. Key words : Botanic Insecticide, Tomato pest control ABSTRAK   Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Toure, Kecamatan Tompaso, Kabupaten Minahasa sejak bulan April sampai dengan Agustus 2013.  Penelitian dirancang menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan 3 perlakuan yaitu ekstrak buah bitung (perlakuan A), ekstrak akar tuba (perlakuan B) dan air (perlakuan kontrol) yang masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahwa ekstrak Barringtonia asiatica dan Derris elliptica memiliki sifat insektisida botanis untuk mengendalikan N. tenuis. Aplikasi ekstrak B. asiatica dan D. elliptica tidak berbeda nyata, namun keduanya berbeda nyata dengan kontrol.  Selain N. tenuis ditemukan juga beberapa Organisme Pengganggu Tanaman (OPT) yang menyerang tanaman tomat diantaranya hama Liriomyza sp., wereng tomat., penyakit pangkal batang hitam, penyakit bercak daun dan penyakit virus. Morphophysiological response of the rice root (Oryza sativa L.) variety SFL 11 in the seedbed phase to the application of the native strain of Trichoderma sp. and leached from bovine vermicompost Ecuador ocupa el lugar 26 a nivel mundial en la producción de arroz con un consumo percápita de 48 kilogramos anuales. En el país, Manabí es la tercera provincia, con 8 710 hectáreas sembradas y rendimiento promedio de 5,58 tha-1. El sistema radicular constituye la primera línea de defensa de las plantas, indispensable para la productividad de los cultivos. En la rizosfera se encuentran microorganismos benéficos, uno de ellos es el hongo Trichoderma, cosmopolita en suelos gracias a su gran plasticidad ecológica y caracterizado, entre otras funciones, por su efecto estimulador en el crecimiento vegetal al colonizar raíces aumentando los pelos radiculares y la extensión en profundidad de enraizamiento. Por otra parte, los bioestimulantes a base de sustancias húmicas promocionan el crecimiento radicular. El experimento se realizó para evaluar si hay inducción a repuestas morfofisiológicas en las raíces por una cepa nativa de Trichoderma sp. y el lixiviado de vermicompost bovino en el arroz (Oryza sativa L.) variedad SFL 11 en fase de semillero. La investigación se condujo en diseño de bloques completamente al azar con 8 tratamientos, seis con Trichoderma sp., uno con lixiviado de vermicompost bovino y el testigo con agua y se realizó en la parroquia Charapotó del cantón Sucre en la provincia de Manabí. A los 25 días después de la siembra fue determinado a las raíces la longitud (cm), volumen (mL) y masa seca (g) a un total de 20 plantas de las cuatro réplicas del experimento y los resultados sometidos a análisis de varianza simple y las medias comparadas mediante prueba de Duncan al 5%. El análisis estadístico demostró efecto benéfico significativo de los bioestimulantes Trichoderma sp., y el lixiviado de vermicompost bovino en la longitud y el volumen radicular, mientras que la biomasa seca demostró diferencias numéricas en crecimiento de las plantas de arroz (Oryza sativa L.) variedad SFL 11 en fase de semillero en comparación al tratamiento testigo. Abstract Ecuador occupies the 26th place worldwide in the production of rice with a per capita consumption of 48 kilograms per year. In the country, Manabí is the third province, with 8 710 hectares planted and an average of 5.58 tha-1. The root system constitutes the first line of defense of the plants, necessary for the productivity of the crops. In the rhizosphere are specifically functional microorganisms, one of them is the fungus Trichoderma, cosmopolitan in soils thanks to its great ecological plasticity and characterized, among other functions, by its stimulating effect on plant growth by colonizing roots, increasing the root hairs and extension in depth of rooting. On the other hand, biostimulants based on vermicompost leachate promotes root growth. The experiment was carried out to evaluate if there is induction to morphophysiological responses in the roots by a native strain of Trichoderma sp. and the leaching of bovine vermicompost in rice (Oryza sativa L) variety SFL 11 in the seedling stage. The investigation was conducted in completely randomized block design with 8 treatments, six with Trichoderma sp., one with leachate of bovine vermicompost and the control with water and was carried out in the Charapoto parish of the Sucre canton in the province of Manabí. At 25 days after sowing the length (cm), volume (mL) and dry mass (g) were determined to the roots at a total of 20 plants of the four replicates of the experiment and the results subjected to simple variance analysis and the means compared by 5% Duncan test. Statistical analysis showed a significant beneficial effect of Trichoderma sp. Biostimulants, and leaching of bovine vermicompost in root length and volume, while dry biomass showed numerical differences in the growth of rice plants (Oryza sativa L) variety SFL 11 in the seedbed compared to the control treatment. Chili is a type of plant that can grow in various types of area, in lowland and highland areas and also can adapt well at a temperature of 24-27 ˚C. The purpose of this research in order to know the influence and effectiveness of the packages technology of Trichoderma sp. mixed with compost, rain shelter and pesticides to control the development of pests in cayenne chili plants and long chili in the highland area. This research was conducted from September 2017 to February 2018, in Pancasari Village, Buleleng Regency, Bali. The study used a Factorial Randomized Block Design with two factors and four times replications. The first factor was  chili type (cayenne chili and long chilli), and the second factor was the use of technologies, compost plus Trichoderma sp., rain shelter, and pesticide. The variable was observed in this research were population of aphis, percentage of fruit fly and yields. The results showed that all treatment technologies effectively suppressed pests development when compared with control. The result show that the damage population of the highest aphis pest was found in control about 194 of Aphids, and population of aphids on pesticide treatment were not found. The result show that damage percentage of the highest fruit fly pest was found in control treatment with the percentage of 76,55% while the lowest percentage was found in pecticide treatment. The rain shelter treatment showed the highest yields were reached 405,87 gr and the control treatment showed the lowest yields were reached 12,03 gr.

The study was conducted aiming to test different fertilizer doses on the optimal growth rate of Eucheuma cottonii seaweed. The study was conducted from July to August 2016 in the waters of Ghonebalano Village, Duruka District, Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. The study used NPK fertilizer with the composition of the element nitrogen (N) 15%, phosphate (P2O5) 15%, and potassium (K2O) 15%. The study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 3 (three) levels of fertilizer doses and 3 (three) groups so that the number of experimental units was 9 (nine) units. While the treatments tested in the study were treatment A (without fertilizer/control), treatment B (fertilizer dose 1 g/L), and treatment C (fertilizer dose 2 g/L). The results showed that the difference in fertilizer dose significantly affected the growth rate of Eucheuma cottonii seaweed. A dosage of 2 g/L of fertilizer gives the best rate of growth of Eucheuma cottonii seaweed while the water quality at the study site shows that it is still in the optimal range for the growth of Eucheuma cottonii seaweed.

ABSTRACT The cycle pruning programmed is a reinvigoration technique widely employed in Conilon coffee. This strategy may also be adopted for Arabica coffee to increase its crop longevity and yield. In this scenario, the present study proposes to examine the influence of the cycle pruning programmed on the vegetative and productive development of Arabica coffee. The experiment was developed in the field as a randomized-block design with four replicates. Treatments were tested in a 4 × 2 factorial arrangement consisting of four stem densities (4000, 8000, 12000 or 16000 stems ha-1) and two management strategies for the removal of plagiotropic branches (annual or biennial removal of branches which had reached 70% or more of their production capacity). For some variables, the treatments were organized as a 4 × 2 × 2 factorial arrangement in which the last factor corresponded to two regions of data collection in the plant (upper or lower). For all factorial arrangements, an additional treatment (control) was employed corresponding to traditional pruning (recepa). Annual or biennial removal of plagiotropic branches which had attained 70% or more of their production capacity can be adopted with no losses to crop yield. The cycle pruning programmed improves the distribution of branches, increases canopy area and prevents the occurrence of the “naked neck” phenomenon, observed in control treatment. Additionally, it provides better agronomic and productive performance; therefore, it can be used as a substitute for recepa.

This research was conducted in Pante Cermin, Padang Tiji Subdistrict, Pidie District. in March to August 2015, with the aim to know the use efficienci of Trichoderma sp on the growth of several types of Banana seedlings (Musa Paracica L.) This research using Randomized Block Design (RAK) factorial pattern with the factors studied is the type of banana and trichoderma dose . Both factors consist of 4 levels: Banana Barangan (J1), Ambon banana (J2), Banana King (J3) and Geupok banana (J4). While the dose of Tricoderma sp is: TO = 0 g / seeds T1 = 15 g / seeds T2 = 30 g / seedlings and T3 = 45 g / seedlings. So there are 16 treatment combinations and repeated 3 times, which resulted in 48 experimental units.To determine the influence of each treatment and its interaction on the growth of banana seedlings, the analysis of variance (Test F) and continued with the test of Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ) at 5% level.The results showed that the growth of good banana seedlings among 4 species studied was shown by Barangan bananas, but not unlike bananas. However, trichoderma administration until the age of 4 months has not shown the growth and intensity of different attacks. So it should be extended the study period to 6 months. After 6 months of research there has been a difference in growth and intensity of attack, where the intensity of the greatest attack is shown by T0 (without trichoderma). Medium intensity of smallest attack is shown by T3 (Dose trichoderma sp 45 gr / banana seedlings). The type of banana does not affect the growth and intensity of fusarium wilt attack. and the interaction of these two factors had no significant effect on the growth of banana seedlings and the intensity of Fusarium wilt disease.

Patchouli (Pogostemon cablin Benth) is a plant that produces essential oils and important foreign exchange earner for Indonesia. Using superior clones  with the right fertilizer application will increase the yield of patchouli oil. The research aims to obtain patchouli plants that have the best response of urea fertilization application and optimum dosage of urea for patchouli plant growth. The study was conducted at the Politeknik Negeri lampung’s teaching farm in December 2018 until May 2019. The experiment was conducted using a factorial randomized block design (RBD), consisting of two treatment factors, namely the type of urea clone. The first factor is the type of clone consisting of 2 levels, namely NPL 9 clone and Lhokseumawe clone. The second factor is the treatment of urea doses consisting of 4 levels, namely control, 250 kg.ha-1, 300 kg.ha-1, and 350 kg.ha-1. Variables observed included plant’s height, bough, diameter, number of leaves, stalk angle, chlorophyll content, wet weight of plant, wind dry weight of plant, and yield. The results of research showed  NPL 9 clone had a superior appearance and 350 kg.ha-1 of urea dose  was the optimal dose compared to other doses and could increase patchouli yield 2,3% compared to the control treatment.

The experiment was carried out in agricultural land in Sorman between 4 - 2017 to 7 - 2017, in the design of Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) to study the response of vegetative traits and chemical properties in the tomato plant of Tariz for organic fertilization, by 6 treatments and 3 replicates, For SPSS statistical analysis at a significant level of LSD 0.05). The experiment included four types of semi-decomposed organic fertilizer (sheep manure, cattle manure, camel manure, horse manure) in 6 treatments, in addition to the control treatment, which included four treatments for each type of organic fertilizer as: fertilizer: soil by ratio (1: 3) that is 5Kg of fertilizer : 15 kg of soil, mixed treatment of fertilizer : soil (1: 1) (10 kg of fertilizer: 10 kg of soil), and double treatment (3: 1) (15 kg of fertilizer: 5 kg soil). The seedlings were planted in experimental units of 7.20 m2. The seedlings were treated in biological control using the garlic extract for insect protection after 15 days of planting, as well as the addition of simple proportions of hay as a cover to reduce the growth of herbs. The experiment showed that the treatment of cattle manure significantly increased most of the studied morphological traits (length of root, plant length, number of flowers, number of leafy branches), as well as significant increase in fresh and dry weight of leaves and average weight of five fruits.. There were significant differences in the content of the N, P in leaves and NPK elements in the fruits, while there was a significant increase in vitamin C content in fruits for all treatments.

This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of Widya Gama Mahakam University Samarinda, Faculty of Agriculture, Jalan KH. Wahid Hasyim. The study was conducted in January - April 2020. This study used a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with 2 treatment factors and 3 replications. The first factor was the application of banana stem compost with various concentrations of EM4 consisting of 4 levels, namely P0 = banana stem compost without EM4, P1 = banana stem compost with EM4 concentration of 50 ml L-1 water, P2 = banana stem compost with EM4 concentration of 75 ml. L-1 water, P3 = banana stem compost with a concentration of EM4 100 ml L-1 water and the second factor is the dose of urea fertilizer which consists of 4 levels, namely, D0 = control, D1 = 1 g urea / polybag, D2 = 2 g urea / polybag, D3 = 3 g urea / polybag. The results of the research giving banana stem compost with variations in the concentration of EM4 and the dose of urea fertilizer and the interaction of the two treatments had a very significant effect on plant height at the age of 20, 40, 60 and 80 DAS, with the best treatment P3 = 28.67 cm, D3 = 28, 21 cm and P3D3 = 32.33 cm, then had a very significant effect on the number of shoots at the age of 60 and 80 DAS with the best treatment P3 = 6.67 fruit, D3 = 6.17 fruit and P3D3 = 8.33 fruit, and very influential significant on the number of leaves at the age of 40, 60 and 80 DAS with the best treatment P3 = 8.58 strands, D3 = 8.83 strands and P3D2 = 10.67 strands.

ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to control environmentally friendly soybean pod borer by utilizing plants in swamps as a vegetable insecticide, namely Kepayang (Pangiumedule). The study was conducted on tidal land in the Village of Kiri Dalam, Barambai District, Barito Kuala Regency, South Kalimantan Province. The study was designed in a randomized block design with 5 replications. The treatment is; 1. Kepayang leaf extract, 2. Without control, 3.Neem plant extract, 4. Chloriliprol insecticide. The results showed that the Kepayang leaf extract can be used as a botanical insecticide controlling soybean pod borer because it can suppress soybean pod attack by up to 62% and is no different from the Chloriliprol insecticide treatment by 64%.
