The online media industry is growing rapidly now. The presence of various types of online media is coloring competition in the media industry. Media business is a gap to find a background that is the principle of a news portal. Gorilasport.com is a news portal that provides information about sports with the main content of digital comics. They use digital comics as the main content in presenting news that can be seen on a news portal. So, this research aims to analyze digital comic in online media business in Indonesia by sports news portal Gorilasport.com. This study uses the post-positivist paradigm with a qualitative approach and the type of research is descriptive. The unit of analysis is Gorilasport.com media organization. The concept used is the strategy of media business, digital comics and online sports media with the help of previous research studies. Data collection techniques were carried out with interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman models. To test the validity of the data the researcher used source triangulation. The results show that media businesses using digital comic. The advantage gained is that this business can continue without content presentation, is liked by the public and is not easily boring.

This study aims to describe Reyog Ponorogo from the historical aspect, the negative stigma that has accompanied its development, and local wisdom that spreads to all its components. This problem is studied using a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews with data collection tools is the researcher himself as a key instrument. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analytical with the process of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings of this study are as follows; (1) Reyog Obyog is an important and inseparable part of Reyog Ponorogo. In fact, it is very possible that Reyog Obyog is the origin of the Reyog Ponorogo which has developed and is known to the public today; (2) Reyog Obyog performance model which tends to be free, not bound by standards, is performed in the audience and is predominantly filled with entertainment, in its development various negative stigmas have emerged in the community, namely eroticism, drunkenness, and mystical performance rituals; (3) The Reyog Obyog has a great value in the form of a noble life guidance which is strategic enough to be used as a medium for building civilization.

Media relations is one of the practices that can be found in the system of a publicrelations (PR) department. The PR department of a media industry still needs to do thepractice of media relations with other media industry although it has already had its ownchannel to disseminate information. The practice of media relations has aim that theinformation from an organization can be distributed to the public through the channelof the media industry. To achieve the aim, the initial process, such as the interactionand communication in the internal environment of the organization between the PRstaff with the superiors, is required. PR staff and the superiors as the agents use thestructure to act in the process of system production and reproduction. To know howthe process of the system production and reproduction in the interaction of the agentsin the practice of media relations, then analysis using adaptive structuration theorydeveloped by McPhee and Poole is required. This research aims to describe and providean understanding of structuration of internal communication in the practice of mediarelations in the PR department. The method used in this research is a single instrumentalcase study with descriptive qualitative approach. From this study, it is found that in thePR department system, the staff connects to the superiors in the internal environmentin the practice of media relations and the agents use the structure to act and to interactso that the system and practice can take place continuously either as a rountine or as atransformation.Media relations merupakan salah satu praktik yang terdapat dalam sistem departemen public relations (PR). Departemen PR dari suatu industri media ternyata masih perlu melakukan praktik media relations dengan industri media lain meskipun telah memiliki saluran media untuk menyebarkan informasi. Praktik media relations bertujuan supaya informasi dari suatu organisasi dapat disebarluaskan kepada publik melalui saluran suatu industri media. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, diperlukan proses awal berupa interaksi dan komunikasi di lingkungan internal organisasi antara staf PR dengan atasannya. Staf PR dan atasannya sebagai agen menggunakan struktur dalam bertindak dalam proses produksi dan reproduksi sistem. Untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses produksi dan reproduksi sistem tersebut dalam interaksi para agen dalam praktik media relations, maka diperlukan analisis menggunakan teori strukturasi adaptif yang dikembangkan oleh McPhee dan Poole. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan dan memberikan pemahaman mengenai strukturasi komunikasi internal dalam praktik media relations yang terjadi di dalam departemen PR. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus instrumental tunggal dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa di dalam sistem departemen PR, staf berhubungan dengan atasannya di lingkungan internalnya dalam melakukan praktik media relations dan para agen menggunakan struktur dalam bertindak dan berinteraksi sehingga sistem dan praktik dapat berlangsung terus-menerus baik sebagai rutinitas maupun sebagai transformasi.Kata kunci: Strukturasi, Komunikasi Internal, Media Relations, Industri Media

The purpose of this article is to describe the synergy of stakeholders in waste management in Metro Cities. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that: (1) waste management in metro city involves five elements, namely: government, civil society, business actors, academics and the media. Cooperation between stakeholders has been going well, but not all stakeholders involved in waste management carry out their roles optimally; (2) communication and coordination is still lacking, as indicated by several complaints from the public; (3) lack of public awareness of waste management in Metro City. Research recommendation: in increasing synergy, it is necessary to evaluate the cooperation between stakeholders. It is hoped that DLH can improve communication and coordination of waste management. Increase waste management activities and increase activities through online media which are expected to increase public awareness of the importance of managing waste.

Commentary: It took approximately 6 seconds, with 27 votes against 14 on the 16 May 2018 at 5:03pm for the Fiji Parliament to pass the Online Safety Bill (Fijian Parliament, 2018b). Thereafter, the Bill came into force as the Online Safety Act, 2018 (Fijian Government, 2018), despite concerns about its impact on free speech. This commentary examines how the public was conditioned by certain prominent actors, such as the Attorney-General and Media Industry Development Authority (MIDA) chair, with support from government-aligned media. The Online Safety Bill had been touted as legislation designed to protect Fijians from harmful online activities (Doviverata, 2018; Nacei, 2018). However, the Bill’s implementation was preceded by a set of supportive media-facilitated narratives that seems almost too convenient. This commentary scrutinises the series of media facilitated narratives that justified the Online Safety Act. The discussion briefly examines the connection between the media, blogs and social media in Fiji. It then explores the media facilitated narratives to provide a brief critique of the Act as a so-called ‘Trojan Horse’ for safety while risking responsible political free speech. Finally, it seeks to answer whether it is about online ‘Safety’ alone, or ‘Regulation’ of online media.

The purpose of this study is to determine the efforts of the Depok Radar newspaper that can maintain its existence and anticipate competition in the media industry, especially in the current online media era. The concept studies used are mass media strategies and mass media (newspapers, online media). The research paradigm is post-positivist, the research approach is qualitative. The unit of analysis is individuals namely managing editor Radar Depok, and senior journalists. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, non-participant observation and documentation, as well as the validity of the data using source triangulation techniques. The results of this study indicate that for Radar Depok online media is not a big threat because according to him Radar Depok already has its own market. The strategy at Radar Depok is to do visual innovation, load the latest rubrics with specific moments, and have online media. For Radar Depok, the strategy efforts undertaken are aimed at maintaining its customers so as not to decrease, and the strategies that have been carried out are all expected to attract the attention of new readers of the Radar Depok newspaper.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis android untuk memudahkan pemahaman konsep trigonometri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang didukung data kuantitatif. Model Pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu ADDIE. Karya inovasi ini dibuat dengan macromediaflash 8. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 8 siswa pada ujicoba kelompok kecil dan 30 siswa pada ujicoba kelompok besar. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu angket dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data kualitatif dengan menggunakan model Miles Huberman.Hasilpengembangan diperoleh sebuah media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu siswa untuk mempermudah mengingat rumus trigonometri. The purpose of this research is to develop interactive android based learning media to facilitate understanding of trigonometric concepts. This research is a development research with qualitative approach supported by quantitative data. Development model used is ADDIE. The innovation work was made with Macromedia Flash 8. The subjects in this study consisted of 8 students on a small group trial and 30 students on a large group trial. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and interviews. Qualitative data analysis technique using Miles Huberman model. The results of the development obtained a learning media that can help students to simplify remembering the trigonometric formula. The research aims to describe the puzzling media as a solution to increase the learning motivation of elementary /MI student. This research is library research. It is a method that the data which is needed in completing research comes from library sources i.e. include books, encyclopedias, dictionaries, journals, documents, magazines, etc as well as various sources on the internet. The data collection technique used in this research is documentation. Documentation means looking for data about things in the form of notes, books, papers, articles, journal, and so on. Then, the data analysis technique used in this study is content analysis. In this analysis, the process of selecting, comparing, and combining various meanings will be found to be relevant. The media is an intermediary or introduction. Puzzle media can improve the students’ motivation to keep trying to solve problems. It is fun for students because it can be repeated. The challenges in the puzzle game will give you an addictive effect to always try and try until they are successful.

Inovasi layanan drive-thru perpustakaan merupakan sebuah layanan yang diciptakan Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Jawa Timur. Inovasi layanan drive-thru ini berbentuk tempat / loket untuk melayani kebutuhan pemustaka tanpa harus turun dari kendaraan. Inovasi ini bertujuan untuk memudahkan pelayanan kepada pemustaka dengan harapan dapat meningkatkan budaya literasi.. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan inovasi layanan drive-thru di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Jawa Timur. Fokus penelitian ini adalah Kriteria Inovasi menurut PermenPANRB nomor 3 Tahun  2018 meliputi 5 variabel yang terdiri atas Kebaruan, Efektif , Bermanfaat , Dapat direplikasi, dan Berkelanjutan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah jenis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Untuk teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara,observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, pemaparan dan penarikan kesimpulan. Untuk hasil penelitian menunjukkan inovasi layanan drive-thru memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan. Pada kriteria kebaruan menunjukkan inovasi drive-thru merupakan suatu penemuan baru serta menawarkan cara baru dalam melayani pemustaka melalui loket. Untuk kriteria efektif tujuan dari diciptakannya drive-thru adalah untuk memudahkan pemustaka sudah memenuhi, tetapi untuk meningkatkan budaya literasi belum tercapai. Untuk kriteria bermanfaat sudah dapat memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat dan bagi dinas yang menerapkannya. Pada dapat direplikasi inovasi ini dapat menjadi contoh/rujukan karena sudah ada beberapa instansi yang menduplikasinya, lalu kriteria terakhir keberlanjutan untuk kedepan inovasi ini akan tetap dipertahankan karena mendapat dukungan dari berbagai stakeholder. Saran yang dapat diberikan adalah lebih menggalakan sosialisasi agar drive-thru ini bisa lebih berkembang dan dimanfaatkan oleh lebih banyak orang.    Kata kunci : Inovasi Layanan, Drive Thru Perpustakaan, Budaya Literasi   The library's drive-thru service innovation is a service created by the Library and Archives Office of East Java Province. This drive-thru service innovation is in the form of a counter to serve the needs of visitors without having to get off the vehicle. This innovation aims to facilitate service to users in the hope that it can improve literacy culture. The purpose of this study is to describe the drive-thru service innovation in the Department of Library and Archives of East Java Province. The focus of this research is the Innovation Criteria according to the Regulation of the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (PermenPANRB) number 3 of 2018 covering 5 variables consisting of novelty, effectiveness, benefit, transferbility, and sustainability. This type of research is a descriptive type with a qualitative approach. For data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was data collection, data reduction, data presentation, presentation and conclusion drawing. The research results show that drive-thru service innovation has advantages and disadvantages. The novelty criterion indicates that drive-thru innovation is a new invention and offers a new way of serving visitors through the counter. . For the effective criteria, the purpose of creating a drive-thru is to make it easier for users to fulfill it, but to improve literacy culture has not been achieved. For useful criteria, it can provide benefits for the community and for the agencies that implement them. If this innovation can be replicated, it can be used as an example / reference because there are already several agencies that duplicate it. Then the last criteria for sustainability for the future of this innovation will be maintained because it has the support of various stakeholders. Suggestions that can be given are to promote more socialization so that this drive-thru can be more developed and utilized by more people. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh (1) kemajuan teknologi komunikasi yang telah mengubah perilaku masyarakat dalam berkomunikasi;  (2) semakin maraknya kegiatan swafoto (selfie dan wefie) yang diunggah di media sosial; dan (3) muncul gejala sosiopat bagi para pengguna media sosial. Rumusan masalah yang dikedepankan adalah: (1) bagaimana munculnya gejala sosiopat di kalangan mahasiswa;  (2) apa dampak sosiopat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari? Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, penelian berlangsung di Malang Raya di lingkungan aktivis mahasiswa Mazhab Djaeng, yaitu kelompok diskusi aktivis mahasiswa yang dilaksanakan seminggu sekali di luar kampus dan diikuti oleh seluruh mahasiswa di Malang dan masyarakat umum. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah model analisis interaktif Matthew B. Miles dan A. Michael Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) foto selfie memperkuat gejala narsisme di kalangan mahasiswa; (2) narsisme yang kelewat batas memunculkan gejala penyakit sosial di masyarakat, yaitu antisosial; (3) perlunya gerakan literasi media dan masyarakat untuk menekan dampak munculnya sosiopat.Kata Kunci: Media Sosial, sosiopat, swafoto This background of this research is (1) the advancement of communication technology that has changed people's behavior in communication; (2) the increasing number of selfie activities that uploaded on social media; and (3) sociopathic symptoms appear for social media users. The formulation of the problems is: (1) how the symptoms of sociopaths arise among students; (2) what is the impact of sociopaths in everyday life? Using a qualitative approach, the study took place in Malang Raya in the Djaeng School student activist environment, namely a student activist discussion group held once a week outside the campus and attended by all students in Malang and the general public. The data analysis technique used is interactive analysis model Matthew B. Miles and A. Michael Huberman. The results of the study showed (1) selfie photos strengthened the symptoms of narcissism among students; (2) overarching narcissism raises symptoms of social disease in the community, namely antisocial; (3) the need for media and community literacy movements to reduce the impact of the emergence of sociopaths.Keywords: Social media, sociopath, selfie

DPK Gunungkidul offers local content services in the form of Karst Rocks. Information about the topography of karst rocks needs to be preserved because it represents the Gunung Kidul Region. This study aims to determine how the Karst Rock services and how the information dissemination carried out by the Gunung Kidul DPK to the community. This research method uses a qualitative approach and descriptive methods. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation analysis. The results showed that the Karst Rocks in the Gunung Kidul DPK were served closed and placed on special racks. The provision of Karst rocks is compiled from research studies in collaboration with external parties. DPK Gunung Kidul provides information to the public about Karst Rocks through information dissemination activities. The process of disseminating information begins with collecting information from the results of research (scientists/researchers) and channeled through the media directly or indirectly so that it can be accepted by users. This activity is carried out to improve the scientific repertoire for the community and form of preservation of karst rock information.
