This study aims to determine the increase in student dance learning outcomes, the low interest in student learning due to the learning atmosphere that is still teacher-centered. Through the application of the jigsaw learning method, it is expected to increase students' interest and activeness, in the process of learning dance which has a positive impact on student learning outcomes. The research subjects were grade VIII.9 students at Pekanbaru State Middle School 13. The method used in collecting data is, observation, interviews and documentation. This research was carried out by carrying out class actions consisting of 2 cycles. The instruments used were observation sheets, assessment sheets, questionnaire questionnaires, interview guidelines and field notes. The results of the study showed that: (1) in the first cycle test students did not understand and could not do the task properly. This first cycle has 15 people who are not in accordance with the value of hope, there are 15 people who have not yet finished. This pattern is indeed easier for students, and according to the way of thinking many people tend to be less good at Lancang Kuning dance dancing, (2) in the second cycle of learning actually serves as a "stimulant" of students' ideas and thoughts. The application of the jigsaw cooperative learning approach in the study would be very appropriate for the Lancang Kuning dance practice. In the practice of dance students are not encountered with errors that are so meaningful as in cycle I. This is reinforced by 40 students fulfilling the criteria complete. (3) the application of the Lancang Kuning dance as an effort to increase the ability of Lancang Kuning dance learning proved significantly to students of Pekanbaru Public Middle School 13.

This study aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant effect of the Probing-Prompting Learning Model on Student Learning Outcomes. This research method uses quantitative research with an experimental approach in the form of Pre Experiments with Static Group Comparison Design, this design uses two classes, with a total of 64 students. The method of data analysis uses Homogeneity of data using the F Test, Data Normality by using the Chi square formula, and Hypothesis testing using the t-test formula. The results showed that the calculation of hypothesis testing by using the test formulas, then obtained tcount of 6.037 while the ttable value at the significance level of 5% with dk = + - 2 = 32 + 32 - 2 = 62 obtained a price of 1.669. So the results of the calculations can be concluded. The test results, it can be said the hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This means that "There is the influence of the probing-prompting learning model on the learning outcomes of PPKn class VII of Sape 1 Public Middle School". In accordance with the results of the study, there was a significant effect of probing-ptompting learning model on learning outcomes of class VII PPKn obtained 94.3% of the influence of student learning outcomes after the implementation of probing-prompting learning models in class VII of Sape 1 Public Middle School and the remaining 5.7% influenced by other variables.

The purpose of this study was to describe the voice change and voice part assignment of male middle school choir members. Volunteers ( N = 92) were recruited from three public middle school choral programs (Grades 6-8). Participants were audio-recorded performing simple vocal tasks in order to assess vocal range and asked to share the music they were currently singing in class. Results revealed 23.91% of participants’ voices could be categorized as unchanged, 14.13% as Stage 1, 3.26% as Stage 2, 10.87% as Stage 3, 26.09% as Stage 4, and 21.74% as Stage 5. The majority of sixth-grade participants were classified as unchanged or in Stage 1 of the voice change and the majority of eighth-grade participants were classified in Stages 4 to 5 of the voice change. Of the participants labeled “tenors” in their choir, over 60% were classified as either unchanged voices or in Stage 1 of the voice change.

PurposeThis paper presented the learning process of a group of primary mathematics teachers who participated in two iterations of lesson design, enactment and reflection in a Chinese Lesson Study.Design/methodology/approachAn expansive learning theory was employed to examine the teachers’ learning process in lesson study (LS) on representing fractions on a number line. The evolution of a germ cell was utilized to feature the transformation of the object of activity from abstract to concrete through resolving contradictions among LS members. The videos of lesson planning, research lessons (RLs) and debriefing meetings were collected and analyzed to reveal the expansive learning process.FindingsThe analysis showed that the teachers expanded their learning through transforming the object from diffuse to concrete and expanded through consciously articulating the germ cell. The outcomes of object-oriented activity include improving the enacted lesson which promoted students’ conceptual understanding.Originality/valueThis study made a unique contribution to understanding the learning process of teachers in Chinese LS from the perspective of expansive learning.
