To learn a lesson well, we need to hear, see, ask questions about it, and discuss it with others. Not only that, teachers need to "do it", that is to describe something in their own way, to show their example, to try to practice their skills and to do tasks that demand the knowledge they have gained. Problems to be studied in this research are: Does using STAD cooperative model can improve the learning result of mathematics? Steps taken in using the STAD cooperative model.           The place of study is the place used in conducting research to obtain the desired data. This research took place at SD Negeri 08 Koto Berapak, Bayang District. The time of study is the time of the research or when the research is held. This study was conducted in the academic year 2017.         The subjects of the study were the students of the second grade of SD Negeri 08 Koto Berapak, Bayang District, in the year of 2017 on the subject of mathematics. This research uses Classroom Action Research (PTK). According to the PGSM Project Trainers Team, the TOD is a reflective form of study by actors undertaken to enhance the rational stability of their actions in performing their duties, deepening their understanding of the actions, and improving the conditions under which the learning practices are conducted (in Mukhlis, 2000: 3). Meanwhile, according to Mukhlis (2000: 5) PTK is a form of review that is systematic reflective by the actors to improve the learning conditions undertaken. The main purpose of PTK is to improve / improve the learning pratek on an ongoing basis, while the purpose of inclusion is to grow a culture of research among teachers            That is a set of plans and arrangements about classroom learning activities, as well as assessment of learning outcomes. It is a learning tool used as teacher's guidance in teaching and composed for each round. Each RP contains basic competencies, indicators of achievement of learning outcomes, specific learning objectives, and teaching and learning activities.            The results of data analysis and discussion can show some of the progress achieved during learning either through classical learning, cooperative STAD model, playing quiz, or learning outcomes. So the results of this class action research can be drawn conclusions as follows: 1. Learning STAD cooperative model can encourage students to learn about math more excited, improve learning process, and learning outcomes. 2. Playing quiz can encourage students to learn about math to be more passionate, improve learning process, and learning outcomes.             Some other findings obtained are the emergence of student creativity in making questions and answers, the number of questions posed by students, the responsibility of completing the task, the loss of boredom, even students prefer to complete the task rather than rest.

IPS learning process that occurs at SDN II Kemloko 2nd grade class has not been achieved its satisfactory. This is due to the way the teachers teach which is still in mediocre level, in a way of providing the students with interesting learning method and interesting models that may make students happy to follow the learning activities. By the result, the students’ learning outcomes for the 2nd grade class at SDN II Kemloko still below the pre-determined score, commonly known as KKM. In order to make this condition better, the researchers are triggered to conduct a research by implementing a Class Action Research (PTK), by referring to a research model raised by Thursday and Mc. Taggart. That research model proposes 4 important stages, which are (1) preparation / planning, (2) implementation of the action, (3) observation / observation, (4) reflection. In this classroom action research, the researchers implement a learning model, which is Make a Match. Afterwards, the result shows that the 2nd grade students can experience learning outcome. It turned out that after using this model of Make a Match, there is a significant improvement. The results obtained from cycle 1 portraying a number of 17 students shows that there are 9 students who successfully accomplish the task, which is equivalent with 52.94%, and the rest of the students, which are 8 students, are not able to accomplish the task, equivalent with 47.06%. Further, the second cycle presents that the students who pass the results are 10 students with a percentage of 58.82%, while the unaccomplished ones are 7 students with a percentage of 41.18%. According to the results, the result shows that the accomplished number of students is above the average. It is strongly suggested that others may implement the learning model of Make a Match, particularly teachers.

AbstractOne of the problems of education in Indonesia is the low quality at every level and unit of education, mainly primary and secondary education. Based on observations made by researchers at SMAN 3 Selong, it was shown that the learning outcomes of Grade X MIPA-3 students obtained the lowest classical completeness, which was 37.5%, so that they had not yet achieved the classical completeness set, namely students who achieved KKM ≥ 85%. This is because teachers still use the conventional approach that is dominated by the lecture method. To overcome this, we need a learning approach that can improve student learning outcomes by connecting students' initial knowledge with the material being studied, where students are more active in the teaching and learning process. One approach that can overcome the above is the Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) cooperative learning model approach. This study aims to determine the application of the TGT type learning model in improving student learning activities and achievement on the trigonometric subject matter in class X MIPA-3 SMAN 3 Selong academic year 2019/2020 with 36 students. This type of research is Classroom Action Research consisting of planning, implementation, observation, evaluation, and reflection. The results of the study show that students are more active in the teaching and learning process, and there is an increase in mathematics learning achievement in class X MIPA-3 SMAN 3 Selong by applying a cooperative model type of TGT on trigonometric subject matter learning. This improvement in achievement can be seen from the increase in the percentage of students completeness in classical learning in the first cycle with classical completeness of 65.71%, the second cycle with classical completeness of 76.47%, and in the third cycle with classical completeness of 90.09%. Besides that, after implementing the TGT type cooperative model, student learning activities increase each cycle with active, active, and very active criteria. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application of the TGT type cooperative model in trigonometric subject matter learning can improve student learning activities and achievement Class X MIPA-3 SMAN 3 Selong in the academic year 2019/2020.
