Based on the results of the researcher's observations, the competence of students' skills in the subjects of Microprocessors and Microcontrollers is still lacking. This is due to the fact that the current learning method is still using the conventional method, and still using conventional program code writing model. It is difficult to understand for students who are beginners in the field of programming. The purpose of this research is to produce Learning KIT products to facilitate learning activities of Microcontroller programming with Plug and Play system, in writing program code was made easy with simply compiling instructions in the form of block puzzles. It can make easy for the beginner to understand programming logic and algorithms. The method steps taken refer to prototyping method, it aims to get an overview of the tool’s designed and built to be shown to the user. The evaluation prototype will be used as a reference to make a tool as the final product as the output of this research.

The aim of this study was to improve the learning achievement and activities of students through the implementation of the Problem Solving learning method in Mol Concept. This study was conducted by using two cycles of classroom action research. The subject of this research was 25 students of class X-2 MAN Rukoh Banda Aceh. The result of the implementation of learning Problem Solving method showed that there is improvement of student learning achievement from Cycle I to Cycle II. It could be seen from the results of research that showing about 64% of students had passed learning in Cycle I and about 88% in Cycle II. While the observation was conducted, the improvement of learning activities of students amounts 50%. Based the result of this study, it is can be concluded that the implementation of learning Problem Solving method can improve the learning achievement and activities of the student in Mol Concept.

Quality factor ( Q) and reflectivity are two important subsurface properties in seismic data processing and interpretation. They can be calculated simultaneously from a seismic trace corresponding to an anelastic layered model by a simultaneous inversion method based on the nonstationary convolution model. However, the conventional simultaneous inversion method calculates the optimum Q and reflectivity based on the minimum of the reflectivity sparsity by sweeping each Q value within a predefined range. As a result, the accuracy and computational efficiency of the conventional method depend heavily on the predefined Q value set. To improve the performance of the conventional simultaneous inversion method, we have developed a dictionary learning-based simultaneous inversion of Q and reflectivity. The parametric dictionary learning method is used to update the initial predefined Q value set automatically. The optimum Q and reflectivity are calculated from the updated Q value set based on minimizing not only the sparsity of the reflectivity but also the data residual. Synthetic data and two field data sets were used to test the effectiveness of our method. The results demonstrated that our method can effectively improve the accuracy of these two parameters compared to the conventional simultaneous inversion method. In addition, the dictionary learning method can improve computational efficiency up to approximately seven times when compared to the conventional method with a large predefined dictionary.

This study aims to propose a vision-based method to classify mosquito species. To investigate the efficiency of the method, we compared two different classification methods: The handcraft feature-based conventional method and the convolutional neural network-based deep learning method. For the conventional method, 12 types of features were adopted for handcraft feature extraction, while a support vector machine method was adopted for classification. For the deep learning method, three types of architectures were adopted for classification. We built a mosquito image dataset, which included 14,400 images with three types of mosquito species. The dataset comprised 12,000 images for training, 1500 images for testing, and 900 images for validating. Experimental results revealed that the accuracy of the conventional method using the scale-invariant feature transform algorithm was 82.4% at maximum, whereas the accuracy of the deep learning method was 95.5% in a residual network using data augmentation. From the experimental results, deep learning can be considered to be effective for classifying the mosquito species of the proposed dataset. Furthermore, data augmentation improves the accuracy of mosquito species’ classification.

In the learning method of Lampung language in Junior High School 1 Pugung still using conventional method so that the learning process of Lampung language in Junior High School 1 Pugung become less interactive and less fun so that the students pay less attention to what is delivered by the teacher. Lampung language is one of the regional languages in Indonesia, the language of Lampung itself must be studied when students who are in Lampung province who sit in junior high school. So the author makes a multimedia application using Adobe Flash which is used for learning Lampung language in Junior High School 1 Pugung become more interactive and fun, thus helping students to focus in learning Lampung language.

The research objective is to provide accurate information and picture about the influence of the experimental method to the concentration of children with disabilities in beginning science activities. The research was carried out in the Training Park and Observation of Foreign School in Semarang, with a total sample 14 early age children with special needs. This study used an experimental design providing a group with treatment to see the influence. T-test was used to prove the hypothesis that the experimental method can have a significant influence on the concentration of children with disabilities to learn beginning science. Experimental method as a learning method in preschool classes in the institution of early childhood development, can influence the children’s ability/concentration in learning. This method gives children the opportunity to know and interact with the environment and enable them to focus and concentrate on learning activities in the classroom.

The aims of this research were to find whether Quantum Learning Method is effective inincreasing students’ understanding in learning poetry and how Quantum Learning Method affects thestudents’ understanding in learning poetry during the teaching and learning process. This researchapplied Classroom Action Research model, thus it used both quantitative and qualitative data. Thequantitative data were taken from the results of final test and the qualitative data were taken fromfield notes and observation sheet. Meanwhile, this study was conducted in one cycle only sincethe results from cycle one was successful. Therefore this study did not continue to the next cycle. The result from the final test showed that 100% of the students passed the test with the averagepoints of 15,05 (75,25). Thus, the use of instrumental music as one of the techniques of QuantumLearning Method helped the students to feel comfortable and relaxed during the activities in theclassroom. The selective instrumental music provided a supportive atmosphere for the students tofeel relaxed and comfortable while doing the learning activities; both reading and analyzing.Basedon the findings, it can be concluded that the use of Quantum Learning Method in learning poetry waseffective. Thus, because of its effectiveness in helping students to learn poetry, it is suggested to beused in the classroom. Keywords: Quantum Learning, Poetry, Classroom Action Research, music, instrumentalmusic.

The learning outcomes of the Social Sciences study at the Elementary School level in Indonesia in general have not shown maximum results, this is because the social studies field includes subjects that are less attractive to students. This study aims to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning learning method and Conventional learning method as well as the ability to think logically towards learning outcomes in Social Sciences. This research was conducted on class VI students of the State Ibtidaiyah Madrasah in Ciputat, with a total of 60 students. This study uses treatment by level 2 x 2. The data analysis technique is the analysis of two-way variance (ANAVA). The results of the study showed that: (1) Student learning outcomes in social studies subjects taught using PBL learning method were higher than students taught using conventional method, (2) for students who have high logical thinking skills, the learning outcomes of students taught using the Problem Based Learning method are higher than those taught using conventional method, (3) for students who have low logical thinking skills, student learning outcomes are taught using the PBL method lower than students taught using conventional method.(4) there was an interaction effect between PBL learning method and logical thinking skills.

The aim of this study is to determine the differences of students’ cognitive learning outcome through project based learning method and conventional one. To collect the data, an experimental research is conducted by using pretest – posttest control group design. The samples were the second semester students of class XI of MAN 1 Sigli, Pidie regency which consisted of 66 students (33 students of class XI IPA-2 and 33 students of class XI IPA-3). Project based learning method was implemented in experimental class; meanwhile conventional method was implemented in control class. The data were analyzed by using independent sample t-test with SPSS 16.0 for Windows at significant level of 0.05. The result showed that there was a significant improvement of cognitive learning outcome of experimental class students (tcount7,156 > 2,000). It can be concluded that project based learning can increase students’ cognitive achievement.
