Tourist villages in Indonesia have a very important role in rural development. The village is the smallest unit of rural development in Indonesia that has its own autonomy in management. Even though there are many innovation models have been well developed in some parts of the world, but it has yet to be implemented in Indonesia. Quadruple helix innovation model has been introduced in developed countries to develop their countries. Thus, this model is seen suitable to be adapted in some villages in Indonesia to achieve prosperity and to improve the welfare of Indonesian society. In general, this research is aimed to adapt the quadruple helix innovation model for the tourist village in Tasikmalaya, West Java, Indonesia. Specifically, this research is aimed to (1) identify the driver for the village development, (2) examine the process of village development, and (3) adapt a model of the village process development. The design for this research is a case study. This case study is conducted in a Sukaraja tourist village in Tasikmalaya, West Java that is chosen purposely. Sukaraja Village is chosen as a study location because it has economic potential in terms of tourism and handicrafts. From the existing condition of socioeconomic and cultural in Sukaraja Village this study adapts a quadruple helix innovation model using soft system methodology to achieve prosperity and to improve the welfare of the village community. The results of this study show that (1) the driver for the village development is a tourism industry that have to manage professionally, therefore have to run by village-owned enterprise (2) the process of village development is a holistic process and cannot be done just by single institution, and (3) the model of process development called a quadruple helix innovation model, which is using synergies from four institutions in the village, there are the village government, the village industries, the village education system and the village industrial community. As a whole, the quadruple helix innovation model can be used to improve village welfare communities and in turn will enhance the prosperity of Indonesian society as a whole.

India is a country which is in forefront of being called a developed nation. To be a developed nation, India has to first look at its rural development, because 70 percent of the population live in rural areas, which means more than 700 million people are spread across 6,27,000 villages. Rural development is more than ever before linked to entrepreneurship. Establishments and agencies promoting rural development now look at entrepreneurship as a strategic development medium that could speed up the rural development process. Development institutions believe that rural entrepreneurship offers a huge potential for employment. In this paper a case study of a young entrepreneur who has taken up horticulture (vegetable plants nursery) as his full time profession, with a mission to help the neighbouring farmers is studied, the purpose of this paper is to understand the government role (policies and schemes), the difficulties faced by the entrepreneur during the startup time and knowledge transfer from the horticulture department, nursery management. The methodology followed is in-depth interaction with the entrepreneur. The outcome of paper will be to understand how rural entrepreneurship is helping improve the quality of life for families, communities and individuals leading to sustainable economy and environment.

Dairy goat is profitable object since the productivity is relatively brief, easy in maintenance and does not require much investment. Dairy goat become one of the important commodity for farmers in the village Cilengkrang, Cimalaka District of Sumedang. This study used a qualitative approach where 18 farmers who become interviewees. Collected data were observed and compared with the evaluation on the participants’ routine. The majority farmers are depending on individual experiences and conclusions without related guidance and supported references of diseases and procedures in nurturing dairy goats (61.1%), while the rest are consulting the problem to the vet or the group (83,3%). Some of them used the conventional treatment. However, when the condition of sick animal never improved, only 83,3% of farmers who contact veterinarian and the rest would prefer sell the animal in the market. It can be concluded that the majority farmers in the village, has experienced to overcome certain diseases of dairy goats. Nevertheless, the knowledge and sources of supporting references are still limited that affect to the use of inappropriate traditional herbs or regular human medicines from nearby stalls is still relatively high<em>, </em>so the awareness and knowledge of breeders about health management of dairy goat of breeders needs to be improved.

The growing public interest in travelling has become a different strength for the tourism industry currently. The existence of a person on a trip that can be shown on social media can be a force that indirectly becomes a promotional tool. The tourist village that is currently trending is a form of tourism which consists of natural tourism which is integrated with other tours, to provide a unique value compared to additional terms. The Karst area in Maros and Pangkep Regencies has the potential to be used as a tourist area, but currently, these karst areas have been widely used as raw material for the cement industry. One of the villages that has natural karst tourism in Maros Regency is the village of Botolempangan which has been planned by the village government as a tourism village because it has various unique natural resources that can become new income alternatives for the community, so it is essential to be developed as well as a reason to maintain the area. Karst which began to be eroded by industrial companies. The purpose of this study was to identify tourism potential and analyze the development strategy of the tourist village of Botolempangan. The research method used is observation, in-depth interviews and FGD. The analysis used is a descriptive qualitative analysis and SWOT analysis. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the village of Botolempangan has tourism potential in the form of natural karst tourism, cave tourism (leang), fisheries tourism, Sulawesi endemic monkeys, natural scenery, outbound, camping and educational tours. Based on the SWOT analysis, there are four strategies that can be carried out to develop the tourist village of Botolempangan, i.e. 1). The increased synergy between the government, universities and the community, especially managers in maximizing the supporting factors for the implementation of tourism villages 2). We are managing the Botolempangan karst area into a tourism village that is integrated with nature tourism, fisheries tourism, culinary tours and educational tours 3). Optimizing village budgets to improve tourist facilities and providing education for managers in supporting tourism 4). Increased promotions that prioritize the uniqueness of the region, facilities and the convenience of visiting through social media and partnerships with a local travel.

In 2013 village Batulayang subdistrick Cisarua, distric Bogor West Java into tourist village because dates from outbound managed by the local people. The purpose of this research objectives is to determine the positive impact on welfare and economic growth with the application of the concept of tourist village in the village Batulayang, Bogor Districts, West Java. Research methods that were used to the research is the quantitative methods with Cartesian used diagrams of evidence. In this research researchers uses a questionnaire that will be distributed to resident of the village of Batulayang. The result and the discussion in a quadrant I namely foreign exchange earnings having a high priority because if there are guests foreign tourists and experienced a lack of financial in rupiah, so foreign tourists can use the currencies of his country in cash and bank which is to use. In a quadrat II to, government revenues employment generation, and development of local economies in dimension which means the means the means to uphold are very important. In a quadrant III, no in other words no effect on economic growth. On quadrant IV infrastructure development in a quadrant is considered less important because tourists be preoccupied with activities in the village and the tourist will use smartphone, before going to sleep but to signal and electricity are adequate. The conclusions researchers is tourist village very helpful for the economy residents and can grow economy. As a suggestion the government can cooperate with Batulayang village and private sector to create artificial attraction in Batulayang village to build marketing in the village and increase a vacancy for local residents.

This study aims to discuss local wisdom for the development of sustainable rural tourism in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. Culture that was grown in some area and society can’t be lost because of the development of era. This case study was conducted to find out the local wisdom in Tugu Utara Village, so that it can be used as a tourist attraction. This is expected to be developed into a sustainable tourism village in Bogor. The methodology in this research is qualitative with ethnography. This study found that: economic viability in the village is classified as an entrepreneurial community and tourism actors; local prosperity in the village including prosperous areas of mountainous natural resources, hills, and plantations (tea and coffee); visitor fulfillment; employment quality (villagers serve very friendly); social equity; local control (local culture is still developed in the village and has a characteristic "punten" culture that is courtesy); community wellbeing; cultural richness (culture in the village is still very applied, such as the use and speech of Sundanese language, applying the greeting "punten"); physical integrity (integrity and enthusiasm of young people to build a high village); biological diversity (diversity in villages such as); resource efficiency; environmental purity (nature presented is still beautiful, natural, and cool). The recipient application of this research study is the people of North Tugu Village, especially the tourism village managers.

AbstractBackground: The world tourism industry is subject to big changes. A number of tourists traveling steadily grows, resulting in turnover and income. The destinations, that tourists are attracted, to are numerous, and there are also newcomers who arrive to a certain destination for the first time. Nowadays, even some very distant places are on the travellers’ bucket lists. What is more, tourists are looking for authenticity, in terms of which the concept of ethno village proves to be such an example.Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to investigate how this kind of tourism is regulated in Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The emphasis will be on the study of specific ethno villages.Methods: Regarding the article, desk analysis will be done. The data were gathered from the world web, from the World Tourism Organisation’s data and from the data gathered from Slovenian and Bosnian national statistical office as well. The Excel was used for the analyses. Two examples of an ethno village are also described.Results: The ethno village as a part of rural tourism offers great opportunities for new work posts but capacities should be used to a greater extent and the problem of seasonality should also be overcome. All the key aims of rural development must be defined by the following strategy: the development of sustainable and efficient agricultural sector, the living standard of the population who lives from agriculture, creation of social and economic conditions in the rural regions; all of it within the National strategy of the rural development.Conclusions: Tourism industry is being developing as a part of modern touristic migration. There are more and more visitors coming overseas or coming from more remote places. They stay for a short period of time and they have different expectations as before.

Tourism is important sectors which became one of the fields of economic society, Assess the potential was necessary to sustain an effort so that the sector can move all levels of society, And the participation of the possible significantly. The qualitative method descriptive was used in the study, to interpreting the data obtained in the field. The results of research to explain the management of tourist village in Mendak village either on tourism and the tourism potential climbing Tapak Bima should involve the community from management planning. t is one of the rural development community-based tourism is the responsibility of the community for potential and tourism objects that in the management of tourist village in the village mendak, they must be involved in the process of planning, implementation, and evaluation. Community involvement in the process of planning, of the project up to evaluation will encourage a sense of belonging and about the potential of tourism objects that will guarantee sustainability, potentials, and the object.
