סמי מיכאל ואילי עמיר - שני סופרים ישראליים ילידי עיראק ובני אותו דור (סמי מכאיל נולד בבגדד בשנת 1926 ואלי עמיר ב-1937). כתבו ברומניהם, בין השאר, על המזרחיות ועל האהבה ונשיות.ושניהם חיו חיים פרועים, מוחצנים. לא נרתעו מהתנסות בכל דבר חדש שנקרה בדרכם, מרדו במוסכמות ונהג באופן פרובוקטיבי, הם נהנו מהזעזוע והתדהמה, שהם מעוררים סביבם. מנסים למצוא את מקומם במסגרות משפחתיות שונות, לכן הם בחרו להציג שתי גבורות ערביות .ושתי הגיבורות הן בחורות נוצריות ערביות והן והדובר ברומן "יסמין" הוא דובר- בגוף ראשון , ב"חצוצרה בוואדי" הדוברת היא הודא הגיבורת , אך ביסמין הדובר הוא נורי – אלי עצמו. שניהם עצמאיים ולשניהם יש תחביב שהם משקיעים בו רבות; הקריאה. המשפחות של שתי הגיבורים עוברות שינויים חברתיים במהלך העלילה, ובשעת הצורך שניהן עובדות לממן צרכים שהמשפחה אינה יכולה לממן. ברומנם במחקר זה ואתעניין בספרם של סמי מיכאל: "חצוצרה בוואדי"" (2008) ובין ספרו של אלי עמיר: יסמין( 2005). מחקר זה מבקש לבדוק כיצד מצטיירת דמותה של האישה הערבית הנוצרית בשני רומנים מפורסמים של השניים . תחילה אתייחס למקומו של הערבי בספרות הישראלית , ואציג את תמצית שני הרמנים עם חיי הסופרים, ואדון בדמות האישה ודרכי איפיונה בהסתמך על ספרות תיאורטית. בפרק השיני אתעניין לדמותיוהן של הודא ויסמין כמייצגות את התקופה, ולבחון את הקווים הבולטים בדרכי עיצובה. ,ואשווה בין הדמות הערבית הנוצרית החוזרת בשני הרומנים, ואבדוק מהי עמדת המוצא שלהם, כיצד הם מתארים את שתי הדמויות ובמה הם בוחרים להתמקד.מפאת תחומו המצומצם של הדיון, העיסוק בנושא יתמקד במבחר דוגמאות נבחרים מן שני הרומנים. Abstract Sami Michael and Eli Amir - two Israeli writers born in Iraq and of the same generation (Sami Makhail was born in Baghdad in 1926 and Eli Amir in 1937). They wrote in their novels, among other things, about Orientalism , love and femininity. They both lived wild, extroverted lives. They did not shy away from experiencing anything new that came their way, rebelled against conventions and acted provocatively; they enjoyed the shock and amazement that evoked around them. While trying to find their place in different family settings, they chose to present two Arab Christian heroines. The narrator in Jasmine is the speaker Noori-Eli himself. While the narrator of “Trumpet in the Wadi” is Huda the heroine herself. Both are independent and both have a hobby in which they invest a lot; which is reading. The families of the two protagonists undergo social changes during the plot, and when necessary they both work to provide the family needs. First, the study sheds light on the importance of the Arabs in Israeli literature as reflected in Sami Michael's book: "Trumpet in the Wadi" "(2008) and Eli Amir's: Jasmine (2005). It, also, provides summaries of the two novels and discusses the character of the Arabic Christian woman as described in both novels. Chapter two debates the characters of Huda and Jasmine and similarities of the two in representing their time. The chapter also compares the recurring image of the Christian Arab character in the two novels, the concept of racism, characters description, as well as the subjects discussed throughout the books with an number of citation taken from the book.

As a form of diversified processed fish meat, tuna meatball is very popular to people in Ambon. This type of food is sold by traders from Java by walking or cycling. Difficulties living in the origin area require traders to leave their families and go out looking for jobs in other areas with hopes that the family needs are met. The purpose of this research is to analyze (1). Characteristics of mobile tuna meatball traders in Ambon, (2). The amount of income received by mobile tuna meatball traders in Ambon, and (3). Percentage income utilized by the mobile tuna meatball traders either in family or personal needs. The study was conducted by survey and data obtained through interviews and observations from May to October 2018. The results show that the average age of meatball traders was between <25-65 yo, having education in junior and senior high school level, with the highest number of dependants 1-2 people and <5 years trading experience. The average income of tuna fish meatball traders is Rp. 4,747,231, - which is used for personal and family needs. Seven  traders use more than 50% for family needs and the rest for personal needs, while six traders utilize more than 60 % for personal needs and the rest for family needs.

Bali is one of spa tourist destinations having various categories of spas and spa treatments, and the most important is the spa therapists. Spa development becomes an interesting phenomenon to be studied when it is associated with an involvement of Balinese women as spa therapists in foreign countries. The world’s demand for Balinese spa therapists has become the motivation of women to work in this area. The work and life of Balinese spa therapists while they are working in foreign countries serve as parameters to know their quality of life, and these parameters are also the main focus of this study. Through in-depth interviews and questionnaires distributed to 20 therapists it was found out that 85 percent of them have revealed an improvement in their quality of life that is influenced by two factors: the material and intimacy factors. The material factor in question refers to the economic improvement of the family as they could earn enough income to cover their family needs. The intimacy factor in question refers to closeness and a sense of solidarity fostered while they are working abroad and the relationship within the family. This study concludes that the most important part of the development of spa in Bali is its female Balinese spa therapists due to the image that Balinese women working as spa therapists are loyal, hard-working and honest making them in demand among tourists who are seeking spa treatments. Being a spa therapist can improve their quality of life, which means that subjectively both material and intimacy factors are the aspects that affect the quality of life of the Balinese spa therapists.

Informing families about the impending or actual death of their relatives is one of the most challenging and complex tasks a physician may face. The following article describes goal setting and provides five roles/recommendations for conducting the encounter with patient families regarding the imminent or actual death of their relatives. Importantly, the encounter should be family-centred, and the physician should be highly attentive to family needs. The following roles should be applied based on family needs and should not be sequential as numbered. The first and basic role is to inform the family at the earliest possible time and as often as possible. The second goal of the physician is to convey to the family that their relative received the needed therapy during his hospitalisation or in the community. The third goal of the physician is to help the family reach acceptance of the death of their relative and leave the hospital having moved beyond anger and bargaining. The fourth goal of the physician during the encounters is to reduce or alleviate guilt by stating that nothing could have changed the course of the disease and that all efforts were made to save the patient. The fifth role of the physician is to try and help the family as a single entity and maintain their unity during this stressful situation. Following these roles/methods will help families in the stressful situation and will create the difference between anger and understanding, rage and compassion, and loss and acceptance.

This study was undertaken to determine whether families of children with cystic fibrosis were experiencing difficulties in meeting family needs and in maintaining normal family relationships. It was found that families were not deprived of the essentials of living, but they were not able to maintain their usual pattern of family relationships. Time and energy precluded carrying on activities with each other and with the children; and there was breakdown in their ability to communicate adequately between themselves and the children regarding important family issues. In order to preserve the family as a functioning unit, someone has to be concerned about the entire family. Of necessity, the family has focused on the sick child, leaving the physician, the nurse, the social worker and/or the social agencies to help the family refocus on its total situation, rather than just a part of it. Traditionally, the mother takes care of the sick child. It is she who takes the child to the doctor's office and is responsible for carrying out his recommendations. In the care of a CF child, she assumes a heavy burden and frequently is fatigued from this responsibility. Because she is so tired and so occupied, she may misunderstand or distort what she is told by the physician, and may not be able to tell her husband or the children what they need to know in order to participate in family activities and in the care of the CF child. This situation can easily lead to misunderstanding and tension within the family. To avoid this, both parents could be encouraged, at some point, to come together to the physician's office for discussion. Such discussions could lead to more consideration and appreciation being given to each other. It might lessen the tendency for each to blame the other for the child's illness and could avoid the feeling voiced by one mother, "I would like to blow him out of his chair so that he would help me and understand what I go through." We also need to realize that the CF child is frequently aware of the demands he makes on the family. If these demands are not discussed freely, then everyone is caught in a "web of silence" revolving around his own feelings of frustration. This creates a burden for everyone, including the CF child, and if not discussed it can impair the psychological functioning of all members. The CF child needs to be encouraged to participate in his own care program and to assume some responsibilities for himself. He should not reach the age of seven being unable to tie his own shoes or dress himself, as has been observed in some CF children. It would seem feasible, therefore, that the CF child should have an awareness of what is wrong with him, and what his abilities and limitations are. The other siblings should also be given as much explanation as possible because they, too, are part of the family and attention and care is being diverted from them. This explanation could make for more understanding on the sibling's part. While it would still be difficult for him to accept some of the decisions made (such as why the parents could not get home from the hospital in order for him to use the family car for a senior prom), he would know that it was the situation that was causing the decrease in attention and care rather than rejection of him by the parents. In order to give these families as much assistance as possible, the community's resources should be utilized. Frequently, the parents are unaware of these or need encouragement to avail themselves of services. The homemaker service or visiting nurse service could free the family from constant care; the local youth program could be helpful to the siblings in the family, and Family Service Agencies could be used for counseling on family problems. In summary, this study points up the need for the total family to have an understanding and awareness of CF and to share such knowledge with one another; that all problems of the family have to be considered and not just those of the CF child; and that help from other professional people should be utilized along with sources of the community.

The family is an integral part of society. More precisely, the family can be called the primary social group. We know that the family is a key component of the social structure of any society, performs various social functions and plays a key role in the development of society. As the society developed socio-economically and culturally in the ups and downs of the historical process, the family developed along with it and gained new features. Let's look at some definitions of the family in modern encyclopedias and dictionaries: The family is a small group based on marriage or blood relationship. Its members are connected to each other by domestic unity, mutual moral responsibility and mutual assistance. The innovations of each stage of family development, the immediate development zone and the possible forms of fixation or regression in the family development are all given in separate stages of development. The highlighted stages not only reflect the social changes in the family, but also the changes in life goals, values and social roles of family members through their prism. The Family Hope Program (PKH) is a conditional cash transfer program for low-income families. The requirement is to be actively involved in education and health. The Family Hope Program in Indonesia was implemented in 2007 to alleviate poverty and prosper low-income families. The research and writing of this journal aim to determine the impact of PKH on family welfare and see if there is a reduction in poverty after the government realizes the Family Hope Program. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The study results indicate that the impact of PKH on beneficiary families, including the cash provided, can meet consumption or family needs and help the economy of PKH recipient families. The implementation of the program can reduce poverty in Aceh. The percentage of the poverty rate fell to 0.02%. The limitation of the research is the impact of PKH on family welfare and wants to examine whether there is a decrease in the percentage of poverty in Aceh or Aceh Barat. The practical implication of this research is to provide information to the government that PKH can improve the welfare of low-income families. The social significance is to give the government and the general public that the implementation of social assistance programs, one of which is the Family Hope Program, can reduce poverty rates in Aceh or West Aceh. The originality of the research is supported by previous research related to the author’s research study.

The Catholic Church observes the year 1994 as International Year of the Family in accordance to the announcement made by the United Nations. For this reason it is proper to talk over the obligations and the rights which a family exercises in a secular society and in the Curch. These rights and obligations are contained and treated in the following postconciliar documents of the Church: 1. The Encyclical Humanae Vitae, 1968; 2. The Adhortation Familiaris Consortio, 1981; 3. The Codex of Canon Law, 1983; 4. The Charter of the Family Right, 1983; 5. The Adhortation Christifideles Laici, 1988. Propagating of the family rights and obligations is necessary in view of the situation of the contemporary family, encountered by a multiple crisis. Calling in question of the sense of the family, the mentality adverse to life, and divorces are the most severe indications of that crisis. The basic right and obligation of a family is its service to the life itself, expressed in the procreating and upbringing of children. Doing this, a family needs protection and support from a civil authority which ought to maintain the appropriate policy favourable for the family and its development. A Christian family, sacramentally incorporated into the organism of the Universal Church, constitutes a „Home Church” and participates in Christ’s triple mission: prophetic-evangelizing, priestly-santifying and royal-apostolic. The family is a subject of the Church’s constant pastoral care.

This article is devoted to the members of the Chodecki family who were involved into the political life of the Polish Kingdom by representing Ruthenian voivodeships on the sejms at the end of the 15th — first third of the 16th centuries. It is also illustrated brother’s participation in the parliamentary activity, through the presence of Stanisław of Chodecz, who was the Grand Marshal of the Crown and attended at least thirteen sejms through the period of 1493–1533. For him, as one of the crown deputies, it was a chance to proceed with his experience of parliamentary activity and simultaneously vindicate his political ideas and personal family needs. Through the strong protection by the King sides another brother from the family, Otton of Chodcza, created an outstanding official career and as a senator from the Ruthenian Voivodeship participated four times on the sejms of the Crown. His success was extremely enlisted by other members of the family who have not done any advance neither at official careers nor at the parliamentary practices but were trying to use families position through the sejm sessions in order to solve their own deals. I have also found out that two brothers of the noble kin were attending twenty-eight of the Crown sejms hearing which is accounting for sixty-three per cent of parliamentary action of the whole Kingdom at that time.
