The present study aims to investigate the relationship between corruption and economic growth by taking the driving force of education into account. A significant contribution of the education level to the reduction process of corruption is expected to occur. For this reason, the number of those who are convicted of corruption offenses depending on their educational status for Turkey are to be taken into account, whereas the effect of education being a separate variable on growth and corruption will not be considered. In this regard, Vector Error Correction (VECM) model will be used as a method for the years between 1980-2011 and the relationship between corruption and economic growth will be analyzed. The contribution of the study to the literature is to reveal the impact of those who cause corruption depending on their education level on growth by undertaking the education levels separately. According to the empirical findings, considering corruption convicts who are literate but not graduated from a school and those having graduated from primary and secondary education, it was observed that corruption affects growth in a negative way. In contrast, given the corruption crimes which were committed by the graduates of both high school and vocational school at high school level and higher education, it was determined that there is a positive relationship between corruption and economic growth.

A quasi experiment with interview was adopted to study the aptness of using 3D animations as an instructional method to introduce programming concepts to students at the Senior High School level. This research work was conducted with 100 students of Akroso Senior High School in the Birim central municipality of the eastern region of Ghana who were generally programming novice. Programming concepts considered included programming environments, loops, functions sequential and conditional execution of programs. A paired t-test carried out on the results of the performance test presents a p-value of 0.008 indicative of a numerically significant difference between the mean marks of participants during the experiments that used 3D animation method as against the experiments that used the text base method. Results from the interview showed that the instructional method used had impact on the performance of the learners. The use of 3D animation method presented programming concepts in a form that the learners can understand, motivates them to pursue programming related courses at a higher level and also impacts positively on their performance.

An initial survey showed that school students at the Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri (SMAN; State Senior High School) level in the Sidoarjo Regency of East Java Province, Indonesia, suffered low levels of student engagement (SE).  This research examined the impact of subjective well-being, peer support, and self-efficacy on the student engagement of the students in the Class 10 of four SMAN in the Sidoarjo Regency. 328 students were involved in this research, filling in a survey related to the four variables of the study.  The results of regression testing indicated that subjective well-being, peer support, and self-efficacy had significant influence on increases in student engagement (SE). The implication of this research was that the efforts by the school, parents, and other parties was related to attention being given, outside of improvement in the quality of the academic atmosphere. Psychological well-being, peer support, as well as increases in self-efficacy, may assist students to become actively involved in the learning process.   Survey awal menunjukkan siswa di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) Kabupaten Sidoarjo memiliki student engagement (SE) yang rendah. Penelitian ini mengkaji dampak dari subjective well-being, peer support, dan efikasi diri terhadap student engagement (SE) pada siswa kelas X yang berasal dari empat Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri (SMAN) di Kabupaten Sidoarjo. 328 siswa terlibat dalam penelitian ini dengan mengisi survei terkait empat variabel studi. Hasil uji regresi menunjukkan bahwa subjective well-being, peer support, dan efikasi diri memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan student engagement (SE). Implikasi penelitian ini adalah adanya upaya sekolah, orangtua, dan pihak lain terkait untuk memberikan perhatian di luar peningkatan kualitas atmosfir akademik. Kesejahteraan psikologik, dukungan sosial teman sebaya, maupun peningkatan efikasi diri dapat membantu siswa lebih terlibat aktif dalam proses pembelajaran.

OBJECTIVE: The primary objective of this study is to determine factors associated with health literacy and medication adherence in an urban community. DESIGN: A cross-sectional study was conducted to assess factors associated with health literacy and medication adherence. Participants were recruited from October 2012 to April 2013. SETTING: Ambulatory care clinic and senior wellness center. PARTICIPANTS: Participants were eligible if they were older than 18 years of age and had received care at the ambulatory clinic or obtained services at the senior wellness center. INTERVENTIONS: REALM survey and the Morisky 8-Item Medication Adherence Questionnaire. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The two outcomes evaluated in this study were health literacy and medication adherence. RESULTS: A total of 51 participants were enrolled in the study. Twenty-seven (53%) of the participants were noted to be nonadherent to their medications. Twenty (74%) of these participants read below the high school level, and the remaining 7 (26%) read above a high school level. Study findings showed that both education level and comorbidities status were associated with health literacy. Participants who had a below high school education level had greater odds of having a below high school health literacy level (odds ratio [OR] = 7.500, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.482-37.949). Participants who had two or more comorbidities had greater odds of having a below high school health literacy level (OR = 24.889, 95% CI 2.698-229.610). CONCLUSION: Our study results found associations between both comorbidities and education with health literacy.

This pedagogical tool is valid at any teaching level, from the youngest kindergarten children to older high-school level teenagers.<br><br>These hands-on methodologies are the learning experiences where the student is the lead and author of their own learning. Through activities where he himself has to plan, create and construct products or prototypes, using his creation and creativity skills to solve an everyday problem. These hands-on activities  are integrated experiences and promote an understanding of reality in a more complex way, positively changing the teaching/learning process.<br><br>In this project, high-school finalists were challenged to develop the "Science in Kindergarten" project. This project consisted of creating a children's story where the scenes would be illustrated with practical activities, based on experiments in Physics and Chemistry, instead of the traditional pictures/illustrations. The story was narrated by the older students to the younger students and backed up with the execution of the hands-on activities, where the younger ones were encouraged to participate.<br><br>In the second stage of this project, the younger students made their records of these activities through drawings and other types of materials and their work was used to illustrate the book that was subsequently printed.<br><br>Recreational experiences and discoveries help to recover the motivation and interest of students in these learning subjects where they have little to no affinity or that they discarded when it came the time to choose a professional field. <p>This study explored the relationship between school level and the psychosocial construct of a growth mindset school culture. Data was collected on the What’s My School Mindset (WMSM) Survey from a stratified random sample of PK-12 faculty and administrators (n = 347) in 30 schools across a large northwestern state. The overarching research question was, “Is there a relationship between school level and a school’s growth mindset?” Results revealed a significant decrease in the WMSM mean between elementary school level and high school level participant self-reports. Therefore, the results of this study could be used to create opportunities for faculty dialogue and reflection to changes perspectives, inform future practice, provide realistic ways to implement change by using research-based evidence to challenge assumptions; and give sound reasons for new practices.</p>

AbstractThis research stems from a condition which was observed in Indonesian high school. In general  the schools do not implement the principles of multiple intelligences comprehensively. Conversely, it is still impressed that the  learning is still dominated by one intelligence based education,  that is IQ which is  cause and effect oriented eductional program. In line with that the learning is filled in the domain of cognition which is commonly oriented at the most basic level of mental development, in which the level of memorization activity is fulfilled the learning process. So that the complex intelligences of the learners’ do not develop optimally. This conditions produce that the  Indonesian educational products are not optimal. So to improve the quality of education, it is necessary to develop the implementation of learning system which based on the impact of the findings of neuroscience into education, including the development of multiple intelligences (multiple intelligences) in high school level. This research is a qualitative research seeing from philosophical approach and perspective. Along with that, the method used is descriptive, analysis and interpretive. Through philosophical approaches researcher tries to describe the essence of the eight intelligences and their applications in the learning process. With the method of description and interpretation, it is expected to be able to find an interpretation of the concept of multiple intelligences in accordance with socio-religious background of students’. Then by using the analysis method, the application of  these findings can be adjusted to the needs and potentials which is available at high school levelled education.

Education is considered as an authentic tool for rapid nation building, empowerment, prosperity and economic development. The quality of education remained main issue for Policy makers and curriculum designer. Policy makers have dedicated huge amount of time and energy to provide quality education. Mainly focus of quality betterment relies was associated with infrastructural development like, buildings, furniture, laboratories, libraries and play grounds. In this relation, curriculum designing, hiring of new trained teacher, external environment, nutrition, poverty alleviation also remained priority for betterment of education. But the major element of education is related with student psychology. One major factor is being over shadowed; the motivation of the students, even with the best administrators, highly qualified faculty, curriculum and materials in place, if students are not motivated, to learn and excel, the achievement of goal will become difficult. Therefore, current study major purpose was to investigate the impact of teacher’s behavior on the motivation of students at high school. The study based on inductive approach. The quantitative technique was employed for data collection. The data were analyzed through statistical package for social science 24 version for windows. The findings of study revealed that impact of teacher’s behavior on the motivation of students is positively associated. The teacher motivation has great impact on student attitude, learning, understanding and mental development. There exists an enormous interest in clarification of the relationship between education and economic growth. Over the past 30 years, there have been conducted studies by economists about the connection between education and economic growth. There are actually many publications which provide strong evidence that suggests a correlation between the two. This paper attempts to build upon previous publications and to introduce a unique insight along with contemporary evidence about the relationship between education and economic growth in India from 1975 to 2016 by foc using on primary, secondary and tertiary levels of education. The relationships are examined by utilization of econometric estimations with the Granger Causality Method and the Cointegration Method. These methods are used to create models that could shed light on the claim that education plays a central and significant role in economic growth of India which could consequently be used as an example for similar countries in Asia or around the world. The findings of this work show that there is compelling evidence proving a positive connection between education levels and economic growth in India which might influence governmental actions and shape the future of India.

In general, women who are pregnant are afraid of facing labor because of pain that can cause fear and anxiety, this can cause physical tension which results in stiff muscles and joints that are not natural, so it is necessary to do pregnancy exercises. Pregnancy exercise is one of the physical exercises in the form of certain movements that support the ease of childbirth and is done specifically to improve the health of pregnant women. This study was conducted to determine the description of knowledge and attitudes of third trimester pregnant women about pregnancy exercise. This study was conducted on 42 samples of third trimester pregnant women in Tanete Health Center, Bulukumba with a sampling technique in the form of accidental sampling, namely sampling based on the fact that respondents happened to appear. Data collection in the form of a questionnaire to determine the knowledge and attitudes of respondents about pregnancy exercise by analyzing the level of education of each respondent. The results showed there was a significant relationship between the level of education with the knowledge of pregnant women towards pregnancy exercise with p value = 0.00. While the level of education and attitude of pregnant women towards pregnancy exercise there is no relationship p value of 0.824. Of the 45 pregnant women studied who had good knowledge of pregnancy exercises by 26.2%, namely with a high school education level, although the knowledge of pregnancy exercise was also distributed to sufficient knowledge which amounted to 28.6% with a junior secondary education level and 11 , 9% with a high school level. The level of education can affect the attitude of pregnant women in expressing themselves in a positive attitude towards pregnancy exercise, although from further tests there is no significant relationship between the two.

This research aims to determine the impact of the implementation of the curriculum in 2013 against Japanese subjects senior high school level in East Java. This study used mixed methods (quantitative and qualitative), respondents who used 67 teachers Japanese senior high school in East Java, the data retrieval techniques such as questionnaire. From this research it is known that 47 respondents (70%) of the total respondents experienced a decrease in the number of teaching hours. It found that the Japanese teacher hours reduce from 25 hours/week to 18 hours/week. If calculated by the percentage of respondents, 70% of respondents had reduction in their teaching hours, 11% of respondents lost teaching hours, 6% is still the same amount of teaching and only 8% are increasing the number of hours of teaching. Based on the analysis of different test average number of hours of teaching Japanese teacher in East Java obtained that Ho Rejected and H1 accepted, meaning that there is a real difference between the hours of teaching Japanese before and after the imposition of Curriculum 2013.
