The perforation parameters have a large influence on the productivity of offshore wells. Perforation depth and core flow efficiency (CFE) are the key parameters for evaluating perforation response, but the relationship between these two parameters is seldom studied. In this paper, the perforation experiment and CFE evaluation are carried out. The results show that with the increase of confining pressure, perforation depth decreases, CFE increases, and perforation damage decreases. The CFE decreases with the increase of perforation depth, and the relationship between them satisfies the exponential function.

Abstract In this study, exergy efficiency calculations of a turboprop engine were performed together with main performance parameters such as shaft power, specific fuel consumption, fuel flow, thermal efficiency etc., for a range of flight altitude (0–14 km) and flight speeds (0–0.6 Mach). A novel exergy efficiency formula was derived in terms of specific fuel consumption and it is shown that these two parameters are inversely proportional to each other. Moreover, a novel exergy efficiency and thermal efficiency relation was also derived. The relationship showed that these two parameters are linearly proportional to each other. Exergy efficiency of the turboprop engine was found to be in the range of 23–33%. Thermal efficiency of the turboprop engine was found to be around 25–35%. Exergy efficiency is higher at higher speeds and altitude where the specific fuel consumption is lower. Conversely, exergy efficiency of the engine is lower for lower speeds and altitude where the specific fuel consumption is higher.

With the growing potential for use of Bi-2212 powders in high temperature superconducting applications, it is important to understand the processing characteristics of the material. To meet this need, the present work established the relationship between confining pressure and green density for powders of different particle sizes and morphologies. Mechanical properties, including elastic and plastic behavior, of the resulting green compacts were also measured as a function of relative density. Particle size and size distribution are shown to have a significant impact on the properties of interest. The implications of such findings are discussed with respect to the powder-in-tube process for making high temperature superconducting wire and tape.

In any natural area or water body, evapotranspiration is one of the important outcomes in the water balance equation. As a significant method and depending on monthly average temperature, estimating of potential Evapotranspiration depending on Thornthwaite method was adopted in this research review. Estimate and discuss evapotranspiration by using Thornthwaite method is the main objectives of this research review with considerable details as well as compute potential evapotranspiration based on climatologically data obtained in Iraq. Temperature - evapotranspiration relationship can be estimated between those two parameters to reduce cost and time and facilitate calculation of water balance in lakes, river, and hydrogeological basins. The relationship was obtained using Thornthwaite method in Iraq by dividing the area into seven sectors according to geographic latitude. Each sector has multi meteorological stations where thirty two stations were used with different periods of records. A mathematical relationship was obtained between mean temperature and corrected potential evapotranspiration with (97.45) to (99.84) coefficient of determination. The mean temperature has a decreasing pattern from southern east towards northern west of Iraq affected by Mediterranean Sea climate conditions, while corrected potential evapotranspiration has the opposite direction regarding increased value because of a direct relationship with temperature.

<p>Previously, a conductivity invariance phenomena (CIP) has been discovered – at a certain lift-off, the inductance change of the sensor due to a test sample is immune to conductivity variations, i.e. the inductance – lift-off curve passes through a common point at a certain lift-off, termed as conductivity invariance lift-off. However, this conductivity invariance lift-off is fixed for a particular sensor setup, which is not convenient for various sample conditions. In this paper, we propose using two parameters in the coil design – the horizontal and vertical distances between the transmitter and the receiver to control the conductivity invariance lift-off. The relationship between these two parameters and the conductivity invariance lift-off is investigated by simulation and experiments and it has been found that there is an approximate linear relationship between these two parameters and the conductivity invariance lift-off. This is useful for applications where the measurements have restrictions on lift-off, e.g. uneven coating thickness which limits the range of the lift-off of probe during the measurements. Therefore, based on this relationship, it can be easier to adjust the configuration of the probe for a better inspection of the test samples.</p>

The experiments were carried out at the Látókép experimental station of the University of Debrecen on chernozem soil in a long term winter wheat experiment in the season of 2011 and 2012 in triculture (pea-wheat-maize) and biculture (wheat-maize) at three fertilisation levels (control, N50+P35K40, N150+P105K120). Two different cropyears were compared (2011 and 2012). The research focused on the effects of forecrop and fertilisation on the Leaf Area Index, SPAD values and the amount of yield in two different cropyears. We wanted to find out how the examined parameters were affected by the cropyear and what the relationship was between these two parameters and the changes of the amount of yield. Examining the effects of growing doses of fertilizers applied, results showed that yields increased significantly in both rotations until the N150+PK level in 2011 and 2012. By comparing the two years, results show that in 2011 there was a greater difference in yields between the rotations (7742 kg ha-1 at N150+PK in the biculture and 9830 kg ha-1 at N150+PK in the triculture). Though wheat yields following peas were greater in 2012, results equalized later on at N150+PK levels (8109–8203 kg ha-1). Due to the favorable agrotechnical factors, the leaf and the effects of the treatments grown to a great extent in 2011, while in 2012 the differences between treatments were moderate. Until the N150+PK level, nitrogen fertilisation had a notable effect on the maximum amount of SPAD values (59.1 in the case of the biculture and 54.0 in the triculture). The highest SPAD values were measured at the end of May (during the time of flowering and grain filling) in the biculture. In the triculture, showed high SPAD values from the beginning. The same tendency could be observed in the 2012 cropyear, although increasing doses of fertilizers resulted in higher SPAD values until N150+PK level only from the second measurement. Maximum SPAD values were reached at the end of May in both crop rotation system

Kamsebtibcar Lantas or secure, safety, orderliness, and fluency of traffic are made in support of road safety actions reporting on traffic due to the lack of public knowledge about the importance of using self-protection tools that have been determined in traffic law number 22 of 2009 concerning traffic and road transport. By using this program, you can find out the relationship between the factors that cause accidents. From those collected from various regions in East Java, taken from 2016 to 2018. The data obtained can be processed using data mining techniques. This technique works by using a pattern that is a reference for decision making. By using the Fp-Growth algorithm that works with the data tree system to find out the patterns of reporting activities that are happening, this pattern is determined by two parameters, namely support (support value) and confidence (certainty value). With this system, it can help the parties concerned to improve facilities in various Kamseltibcar Lantas reporting activities.

In this paper the dynamic property (shear modulus and damping ratio) of cement-stabilized soil is studied with using the resonant column test. The amount of cement admixed, the magnitude of confining pressure, and shearing strain amplitude are the parameters considered. Test results show that the maximum shear modulus of cement-stabilized soil increases with increasing confining pressure, the minimum damping ratio decreases with increasing confining pressure. The shear modulus of cement-stabilized soil decreases with increasing shearing strain while the damping ratio increases with increasing shearing strain. In the paper the relationship of shear modulus versus shearing strain is fitted into the Ramberg-Osgood equations using regression analysis.

ObjectivesErectile dysfunction (ED) affects up to 53.4% of men aged 30–80 years. In this study, we aimed to examine the association between homocysteine (HCY), vitamin B12(B12), folic acid (FA) and ED.DesignCross-sectional study.SettingGuangxi, China.ParticipantsA total of 1381 participants who completed questionnaires were included, between September 2009 and December 2009.MeasuresED was evaluated by the International Index of Erectile Function scores. Also, the values of HCY, B12 and FA were acquired. Then, regression and between-group analyses were performed.ResultsNo association between FA and ED was found. Significant correlations between HCY and ED were found—the relationships between these two parameters were most notable in men aged over 60 years and in men living alone (bachelors or bachelorhood). B12 levels were higher in men with ED (718.53±234.37 pg/mL vs 688.74±229.68, p=0.015). Using multinomial logistic regression analyses, B12 levels were related to mild ED (multivariate adjusted analysis: OR 1.620, 95% CI 1.141 to 2.300, p=0.007), especially among men aged 40–49 years (OR 2.907, 95% CI 1.402 to 6.026, p=0.004).ConclusionsWe report, for the first time, a relationship between B12 levels and ED. We also found specific cohorts of men for whom the relationship between HCY levels and ED is most prominent. Further studies are required to elucidate the mechanisms underlying these relationships—these may ultimately result in new therapies for ED.

This paper gives a brief explanation of the failure mechanism of rock fragmentation in rock cutting. The JOHNSON_HOLMGIST_CONCRETE is selected as the rock material model in numerical simulation with confining pressure and damage influence introduced. We use the non-linear dynamic finite element software LS/DYNA to simulate the dynamic process of cutting rock. The cutting forces acting on disc cutter are computed. The relationship between cutting forces and penetration depth, confining pressure and damage parameters are obtained. The results show that, the cutting forces increase with the penetration depth. They are larger in equal confining pressure than unequal condition. The forces are amplified with the damage parameters increasing. The conclusion provides a reference for the prediction of the cutting forces.

1. The activation of lipolysis on incubation of human subcutaneous adipose tissue was examined in terms of the relationship between the release of glycerol and the concentration of tissue cyclic AMP. 2. A strong positive correlation was obtained between the maximum concentration of cyclic AMP and the rate of glycerol release in the presence of noradrenaline (r = 0.9), whereas, in the basal state, these two parameters were only weakly correlated (r = 0.45). 3. It appears that the noradrenaline-induced rate of lipolysis depends upon the maximal concentration of cyclic AMP that is present in human adipose tissue.
