School age including pre-school, primary school, junior high school and senior high school are a period which different from adulthood. Health problems in school-age are very important to handle. In this period, there are many health problems that determine which influence children’s future. In elementary school students, the health problems are related with clean and healthy living habits that have not been implemented properly. Aim of this research is an analysis of the effectiveness of health counseling on changes in knowledge, attitudes and behavior regarding clean and healthy living habits in elementary school students. Design of research was one group pre-test and post-test design. The sampling technique was total sampling with a total sample size of 110 students of grade 4 and 5 in the three schools which were the research sites. The research instrument was a knowledge and attitude questionnaire and an observation sheet for behavior. The research data were obtained by giving the test twice, namely before being given health education and after health education. Data analysis was used Wilcoxon test. The results showed that the knowledge, attitudes and behavior of students increased after receiving health education. The results of the analysis of “knowledge” data obtained Z value = -7.814, p value = 0.000, the results of the analysis of “attitude” data obtained Z value = -7.215, p value = 0.000 and the results of the “behavior” analysis obtained Z = -5.121, p = 0.000. The conclusion of the study is health education was changed of knowledge, attitudes and behavior about the hygiene and healthy living behavior of students at SD Kab. Bima.

Effectiveness of video game addiction prevention using ludo game for elementary school studentsPurposeThis study aimed to determine the effectiveness of ‘Ludo game’ for increasing knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of elementary school students concerning video-game addiction.MethodsThe research was a quasi-experimental study with pre and post tests and a control group design. The subjects were 99 elementary school students who were divided into treatment groups (two groups of intervention) and a control group. The data were collected using a questionnaire of knowledge, attitudes and behavior. Data analysis used paired t-test and analysis of variance (ANOVA) with significance level of 95% (p <0.05). ResultsThe characteristics of the study subjects in all three groups before the intervention were normally distributed. Paired t-test results showed that the ludo game and interactive lectures can improve knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors. However, there was no significant difference of knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors through Ludo compared to health education through interactive lectures in health education delivery. ConclusionLudo game and interactive lectures together can effectively improve the knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of elementary school students. Health education through ludo games was no more effective than the interactive lecture methods in increasing the knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of students on the prevention of video-game addictions.

The phenomenon of social problems in Indonesia is the outbreak of children on the street. Especially in the city of Cirebon, which is known as one of the areas supplying street children in Jakarta. The occurrence of Human Immunodeficiency Virus / Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (HIV / AIDS) is still a global problem. Health education is very important in changing one's behavior. Children on the street have a high enough risk factor for HIV / AIDS. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of health education on knowledge, attitudes, risk behaviors in HIV / AIDS prevention. Experimental research with a research design using Quasi Experiment with Pretest-posttest One Group Design on 38 street children with purposive sampling technique. Data collection using a questionnaire that was analyzed by the Cochran and McNemar tests. This study shows the frequency distribution of knowledge both before being given health education as many as 1 person (2.6%) and after being given health education as many as 35 people (92.1%), the frequency distribution of positive attitudes before being given health education as much as 2 people (55.3 %) after 36 people were given health education (9.7%), the frequency distribution of risk-free behavior before being given health education were 23 people (60.5%) and 37 people were given health education (97.4%). In addition, the results of p value 0,000 were obtained using the Cochran test calculations for knowledge, attitudes, and behavior (p≤0.05). Then it was stated that there was an influence of health education on knowledge, attitudes, and behavior in the prevention of HIV / AIDS. Health education with PowerPoint media, videos, and leaflets combined with games with repeated interventions can have an influence on increasing knowledge, positive attitudes, and changing risk behaviors in preventing HIV/AIDS

Background: The behavior of clean and healthy life (PHBS) is an obligation to be carried out by everyone. PHBS is an effort to maintain the health of themselves and their families. The PHBS coaching program has been running for approximately 18 years, but its success is far from expected. It is necessary to explore the factors underlying the failure to implement PHBS. Mothers as educators in the family, have an obligation not only to implement PHBS for themselves, but also educate their children to conduct clean and healthy lifestyle.Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the application of clean and healthy behavior (PHBS) from the study of knowledge and attitudes of housewives in the household setting.Method: This research is a descriptive study with a cross sectional approach, involving 39 housewives in RT 03 RW 06 Tlogomas Malang. The sample is taken in total side. The independent variable is the knowledge and attitudes of housewives, while the dependent variable is clean and healthy living behavior. Instrument to explore knowledge, attitudes and behavior using a questionnaire. Data analysis using the Spearman rank test.Result: The results showed that as many as 43.6% of housewives were well informed, 76.9% of housewives had good attitudes, and as many as 69.2% of mothers had good PHBS. Statistical tests show there is no relationship between knowledge with PHBS (p value 0.792), and there is a relationship between attitudes and PHBS of housewives (p-value 0.007).Conclusion: The application of clean and healthy lifestyle is not related to knowledge, but is related to the attitude of housewives in RT 03 RW 06 Tlogomas Malang.

Background of the research : unhealthy snacks can cause negative impact if the hygiene and safety not guaranteed. Beside it can lead to nutritional problems, the effects from unhealthy snack or food will disrupts health namely alimentary tract diseases and can cause others diseases. In fact, there are many children who have less knowledge in choosing safe snacks of food. The objective of the research : to identify the influence of health education towards knowledge an behavior of school age children in selecting safe foods at SD Muhammadiyah 16 Palembang. Methods of the research : in this study, the writer used pretest posttest control group design with total sampling technique as much as 135 students taken from class V and VI at SD Muhammadiyah 16 Palembang. Instruments used in this study were knowledge an behavior quesioner which had been modified by previous writer and they have been tested through validity and reliability test with table r score as much as 0,279. Reliablity score of knowledge quesioner were 0,754 and reliability score of behavior quesioner were 0,714. Results of the research : from wilcoxon test result there were influences on knowledge and behavior before and after conducting health education obtained p value 0,000 (p value ? 0,05). Conclusion : there are influences on health education towards knowledge and behavior of school age children in selecting safe snacks at SD Muhammadiyah 16 Palembang.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the training in improving the knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of elementary school students as a cadre of school hawker supervisors in Lubuk Pakam. The method in this study uses the action research method, using the student facilitator and explaining the training model. The results of the empowerment research with the student facilitator and teaching training model can improve the knowledge, attitudes, and actions of the young cadres, there are significant differences in the values of knowledge, attitudes and activities based on cycle I namely (p = 0.001, p = 0.001, and p = 0.001), and in the second cycle (p = 0.001, p = 0.001, and p = 0.001). In conclusion, the training carried out on Muhammadiyah elementary school students is useful as a cadre of child food supervisors of school snacks.   Keywords: Snacks for School Children, Young Cadres, Knowledge, Behavior, Attitudes
