RELATIONSHIP ANALYSIS OF WORK MOTIVATION AND PARTICIPATIVE LEADERSHIP TO UNDERSTAND FUNCTIONAL EMPLOYMENT BEHAVIOR

This study aims to determine and understand the relationship between work motivation and participatory leadership with the work behavior of the Functional Staff of the Education and Culture Office of East Nusa Tenggara Province because the Province of East Nusa Tenggara is one of the provinces whose development and growth is relatively slower compared to other provinces in Indonesia. The study population was the functional staff who did not have a structural position of 94 people. Samples were taken as many as 75 people. Data collection using a questionnaire instrument.Based on hypothesis testing, this study found: (1) there was a relationship between work motivation and work behavior in which work motivation contributed 49.29% to work behavior, (2) there was a positive relationship between participative leadership and work behavior in which participative leadership contributed 51.49% of work behavior, and there is a positive relationship between work motivation and participatory leadership together with work behavior. Where work motivation and participatory leadership together contribute 67.01% to work behavior. From the three findings, the conclusions of this study are stated that: (a) Work behavior provides a good relationship to increase work motivation, (b) Work behavior can be improved by considering participatory leadership, by involving employees in every decision making, respecting opinions and proposals employees, and enhance collaboration.

This study aims to determine the relationship between work motivation and participative leadership with the work behavior of Bengkulu Province Education and Culture Office Functional employees. The selection of Bengkulu Province is one of the provinces whose development and growth is relatively slower compared to other provinces in Sumatra. The research hypotheses proposed are: (1) there is a positive relationship between work motivation and work behavior, (2) there is a positive relationship between participative leadership and work behavior, and (3) there is a positive relationship between work motivation and participative leadership together with work behavior. The population of this research is the employees who are not currently occupying positions (functional staff) at the Office of Education and Culture of Bengkulu Province, in 2018 as many as 75 people, and the sampling technique uses saturated sampling techniques. Based on the results of the study found: (1) there is a positive relationship between work motivation with work behavior. (2) There is a positive relationship between participative leadership and work behavior and (3) there is a positive relationship between work motivation and participatory leadership together with work behavior. From the three findings, it was stated that (1) work behavior can be improved by increasing work motivation by increasing the desire to achieve and increasing a sense of responsibility, and increasing appreciation for the work, and (2) work behavior can be improved by increasing participatory leadership, by how to involve employees in every decision-making, respect the opinions and suggestions of employees, and enhance cooperation.

INTISARI    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan Gaya Kepemimpinan terhadap Produktivitas Karyawan PT. ITRASAL yang dimediasi oleh Motivasi Kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian metode asosiatif dengan jenis penelitian  survey  yang akan mengungkapkan hubungan dua variabel, yaitu Gaya Kepemimpinan sebagai variabel bebas dan Produktivitas sebagai variabel terikat. Data primer berasal dari kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada karyawan bagian Liquid Departemen Produksi PT ITRASAL, dan hasil diskusi dengan karyawan bagian tersebut. Selanjutnya data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan metode korelasi dan regresi linear. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh hasil bahwa nilai r untuk variabel Gaya Kepemimpinan terhadap Produktivitas adalah 0,557 dan nilai t adalah 8.951. Nilai r untuk variabel Gaya Kepemimpinan terhadap Motivasi adalah 0,278 dan nilai t adalah 5,022. Terdapat hubungan positif antara Gaya Kepemimpinan terhadap Produktivitas dan Gaya Kepemimpinan berpengaruh positif terhadap Motivasi. Nilai r untuk variabel Motivasi terhadap Produktivitas adalah 0,377 dan nilai t adalah 6,251. Terdapat hubungan positif antara Motivasi terhadap Produktivitas. Kata kunci : Gaya kepemimpinan, Motivasi kerja, Produktivitas karyawan  ABSTRACT  This study aims to identify the relationship of leadership style to employee productivity PT. ITRASAL is mediated by work motivation. This research uses the research design of associative method with the type of survey research that will reveal the relationship of two variables, namely Leadership Style as independent variable and productivity as dependent variable. Primary data comes from a questionnaire distributed to employees of the Liquid Department of Production Department of PT ITRASAL, and the results of discussions with employees of that section. Further data obtained were analyzed using correlation and linear regression method. From this research, the result that r value for leadership style variable to productivity is 0,557 and t value is 8,951. The r value for the leadership style variable for motivation is 0.278 and the t value is 5.022. There is a positive relationship between leadership style on productivity and leadership style have a positive effect on motivation. The r value for the Motivation variable on productivity is 0.377 and the t value is 6.251. There is a positive relationship between motivation to productivity. This descriptive study aims to identify the relationship between the principal leadership and motivation among the national school teachers in the town of Nibong Tebal, Penang, Malaysia. A total of 283 teachers via random sampling method were chosen from twenty-one national school in the district of Seberang Perai Selatan, Penang. The questionnaires constructed by Leithwood and Jantzi (1999) and adapted by Anandan (2011) have been used to measure the principal transformational leadership. The questionnaire of Teacher Motivation Questionnaire by Chung (2012) was used to measure work motivation among teachers. The findings presented that the transformational leadership in the teacher's perspective is very high while the work motivational level among the teachers is high as well. The findings show that there are significant differences in both leadership style and teacher motivation towards teachers’ gender. Relationship analysis also indicated that there was a significant positive correlation between transformational leadership and teachers’ work motivation. Regression analysis also displayed that the best predictor of teachers’ motivation is the individual support in transformational leadership. In conclusion, this study recommends that principals should be competent in applying transformational leadership to improve teachers' innovation in accordance with the school suitability and the needs of the situation.

This study aims to determine the relationship between work motivation and the performance of kindergarten teachers in Padang Utara District, Padang City. The hypothesis in this study proposed is that there is a meaningful relationship between work motivation and the performance of kindergarten teachers in Padang Utara District,Padang City. This type of research correlational with a kuantatif approach,which describes the relationshipof work motivation with the performance of kindergarten teachers in Padang Utara District, Padang City. The population in this study, with 82 teacher  who taught in kindergarten in Padang Utara Subdistrict,Padang City,and were sampled in this study,with 43 people taken using the stratified Proposional Random Sampling techninque. The instruments in this study are likert scale model questionnaires that have been tested for validity and reability and the result are valid and reabel. Data were analyzed using Produt Moment correlation formula with SPPS version 17. Based on data analysis,the coefficient of determination of work motivation was obtained at 0,512. The correlation coefficient between work motivation and the performance of kindergarten teachers is 0,715.This means that motivation is 71,5% towards the performance of significant 5% kindergarten teachers. Based of these data it can be concluded work motivation has a positive relationship with the performance of  kindergarten teacher in Padang Utara District,Padang City.

IMPROVING TEACHER INNOVATIVITY THROUGH STRENGTHENING PEDAGOGIC COMPETENCIES AND LEARNING ORGANIZATIONSThis study is intended to determine how teachers’ innovativeness can be improved by examining the relationship between teacher innovativeness with pedagogical competency variables and learning organizations The study was conducted using correlational statistical methods to determine whether pedagogical competency variables and learning organization have a positive relationship with teacher innovation. Based on these results, an analysis is then performed using the Sitorem Method to derive recommendations and determining the order of priority improvements that need to be implemented. The study was conducted to the government official teachers of  State Vocational School located in Bogor Regency where the total study population was 184 and the sample taken was 126 teachers. The results showed  that there was a positive relationship between pedagogical competence and teacher innovativeness where the relationship strength ry1 = 0.7655 and there was a positive relationship between learning organization and teacher innovativeness where the relationship strength ry2 = 0.2671. This proved that teacher innovation might be improved through strengthening the  pedagogical competencies and learning organizations.

We explored the effects of guanxi prevalence and guanxi practices on 3 types of unethical work behavior (UWB), proposing that job satisfaction would mediate the relationship between guanxi in the workplace and employees' UWB. Data were collected from 379 employees working for companies in China. Results of hierarchical regression analysis revealed that guanxi prevalence had a positive relationship with property-related UWB and conventional and minor (ordinary) UWB, such as doing personal business in company time. Guanxi practices had a significant positive relationship with violation of laws and regulations, property-related UWB, and ordinary UWB. Both guanxi prevalence and guanxi practices had a significantly negative relationship with job satisfaction, and job satisfaction had a significant negative correlation with violation of laws and regulations, property-related UWB, and ordinary UWB. Job satisfaction partially mediated the relationship between guanxi prevalence and ordinary UWB. The theoretical and practical implications of these findings are discussed.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of participatory leadership and school principal communication on teacher performance. This research uses a quantitative approach with multiple regression methods. The results of the study, through regression calculations, obtained the calculated F price of 9,246 while the F price of 5% table in db (53-2) was 4.11 and the F price of 1% table in db (53-2) was 7.35. So the relationship between participative leadership and principal communication together with teacher performance, is significant. In conclusion, there is an influence of participatory leadership and school principal communication with teacher performance. Keywords: Participatory Leadership, Communication, Teacher Performance

This study aims to determine the relationship between leadership and organizational climate on teachers’ work motivation at vocational high school in Banda Aceh. This research uses quantitative research methods, and the data collection technique used is a questionnaire. Fifty teachers participated in this research. The analytical method used is the Pearson product-moment correlation. Based on the calculation, the relationship between leadership and teachers’ work motivation at vocational high school in Banda Aceh using the Pearson product-moment, the value of correlation coefficient = 0.539 is obtained with a significance level of p = 0.000 0.05. It means that there is a positive relationship between leadership and teachers’ work motivation. However, the relationship between organizational climate and work motivation teachers using the Pearson product-moment was -0.466. It is obtained with a significance level of p = 0.001 0.05. It implies a positive relationship between organizational climate and teachers’ work motivation.


This paper aims to investigate the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership (EL) and creativity in projects. Additionally, the study also examine the mediating effect of innovative work behavior (IWB) and the moderating role of entrepreneurial self-efficacy (ESE). Employing a questionnaire survey, the researcher collected 210 responses. Multiple regression were used to analyze the data. the results of the study demonstrates a positive relationship between EL and creativity in projects. Furthermore, IWB partially mediate the relationship between EL and creativity in projects. the results also suggest that ESE moderates the relationship between EL and IWB. Theoretical and practical implications of the current study were highlighted at the end of the paper.

   This writing is aimed at describing the relationship between work and loyalty environment with the motivation of employees ' work at PT. Blessing of the people of Tasikmalaya, either individually or together.   Writing this poured from research method with the survey method.  Where the research respondents are employees of PT. The people of mind Tasikmalaya as many as 30 employees, from 30 employees were elected based on the census technique. The instrument used is a poll.    The results of this study found that: firstly, there is a positive relationship between the working environment with the motivation of employee work PT. Blessing of People's mind Tasikmalaya.  That means the better the working environment where an employee works, the higher the motivation of the employee's work.  Secondly, there is a positive relationship between loyalty with the motivation of employees work PT. Blessing minds of Tasikmalaya people.Keywords: Work environment, loyalty, work motivation
