Internet space has become a part of the real world of modern students. The problem of increasing the use of the Internet as an additional resource in the educational process is now particularly topical. The article contains the results of a small sociological study on the use of the Internet in teaching sociological disciplines.

BACKGROUND With growing accessibility and need over the past decades, the Internet has experienced a rapid increase in use globally. Specifically, with the accelerated development in information technology, more than 90% of Hong Kong’s citizens use the Internet, and 70% of children in the age group of 6-17 have daily access to it. However, despite the benefits of Internet technology, its addiction could pose serious social and health issues. Therefore, conducting research to investigate its causes and risk factors is fundamental. OBJECTIVE In this study, we examined the relationship between worry and Internet addiction among children in Hong Kong, and investigated the moderating effect of the permissive parenting style on such relationship. METHODS The participants consisted of 227 fourth-grade and fifth-grade students (120 males, 52.9%) from primary schools in Hong Kong with a mean age of 9.55 (SD = .58). Each participant was asked to complete the questionnaires, including the Internet Addiction Test for Internet addiction, the Penn State Worry Questionnaire for Children for worry, and the Parental Authority Questionnaire for the permissive parenting style. RESULTS The results indicated that worry was related to greater Internet addiction among children. Furthermore, there was a moderating effect of the permissive parenting style such that the positive association between worry and Internet addiction was stronger when the permissive parenting style was higher. CONCLUSIONS Our findings imply that parenting styles are influential in the prevention of Internet addiction.

The general population increasingly uses digital services, meaning services which are delivered over the internet or an electronic network, and events such as pandemics have accelerated the need of using new digital services. Governments have also increased their number of digital services, however, these digital services still lack of sufficient information security, particularly integrity. Blockchain uses cryptographic techniques that allow decentralization and increase the integrity of the information it handles, but it still has disadvantages in terms of efficiency, making it incapable of implementing some digital services where a high rate of transactions are required. In order to increase its efficient, a multi-layer proposal based on blockchain is presented. It has four layers, where each layer specializes in a different type of information and uses properties of public blockchain and private blockchain. An statistical analysis is performed and the proposal is modeled showing that it maintains and even increases the integrity of the information while preserving the efficiency of transactions. Besides, the proposal can be flexible and adapt to different types of digital services. It also considers that voluntary nodes participate in the decentralization of information making it more secure, verifiable, transparent and reliable.

The aim of this research is to show the effect of internet use habit on English achievement for class VIII students at SMPI Al Azhar 8 in Bekasi. This research based on survey methods using technical correlational analysis. While the data and information were obtained by a questionnaire. The sample is taken with purposive sampling technique that is 44 students. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that: There is a significant effect of the habit of interacting through the internet on the English achievement. This is evidenced by the acquisition of the results of the Sig. 0,000 <0,05dan t value = 4,365 which means there is a significant effect.

In recent years, with the rapid increase of users active on the Internet, Internet users access log is also increasing rapidly. According to the user's Internet access log analysis of the characteristics of user behavior on the Internet. In this paper, we classify the statistical analysis of the behavior of Internet users by collecting information and data on urban and rural Internet user behavior. AbstractSince 1961 the Laboratory for statistical analysis of ancient languages (LASLA) at the University of Liège has recorded a high number of ancient Latin texts in a computer format. For each of the approximately 1,800,000 words of the corpus lexicological, morphological and syntactical information has been entered. The complete data bank is now accessible through the Internet: an inquiry software package makes it possible for any researcher to look up all occurrences of a specific language feature either in the whole corpus or in the works of a given writer. Research can be done either on a lexis item, or on a type of subordination, or again on the basis of morphological features. The system, which still has to be further developed, is available for anyone who files a request.

In common Internet environments, most of the websites or services constrain the user account creation. Since the Internet is accessible by all and offers more and more services, a user has several accounts on the web. The difficulty in controlling their accounts does not leave indifferent to the users of the web. Hence the use of easy or insecure passwords. This is why we are victims of attacks and forgetting our passwords. Large companies such as Facebook, Google, etc., offer authorization and authentication mechanisms using the Oauth and OpenID protocol, which requires the opening of an account. To be independent of a social network or a site, it would be important to develop a model to make a statistical analysis between the attributes of the profiles of the same user and to create an account. Using the same password for all its different accounts could be an approach but avoiding the proliferation of data by proposing a model of identity analysis would be even more interesting. That is why this article proposes a centralized account management model by making a comparative and statistical study of the identity attributes and proposing a single account to the user to manage all its different accounts. So, we have a horizontal analysis between the attributes of the identity categories and a vertical analysis between these categories. This study allowed us to find a threshold to conclude that an account belongs to a user.

The Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is an Internet routing protocol responsible for exchanging network reachability information between Autonomous Systems (ASes). Monitoring and mining BGP traffic are important aspects to understand and improve the stability of the Internet. However, identifying the characteristics of BGP traffic is much harder than it seems at a first glance where BGP traffic has been identified as complex, voluminous, and noisy. In this paper, we show that BGP traffic can be understood as an aggregation of oscillations of different frequencies from different ASes. Using linear and nonlinear statistical analysis, we show that BGP traffic shows recurrent behaviour. The source of this behaviour is unsynchronised periodic behaviour from a set of ASes.
