This study aims to determine the effect of learning motivation on mathematics learning achievement of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan, the effect of gender on mathematics learning achievement of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan, and the effect of interaction between learning motivation and gender on mathematics learning achievement. VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan. The type of research used is quantitative with a causal associative approach. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan. Sampling was carried out using Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. The sample in this study amounted to 163 students, including 88 male students and 75 female students. Data was collected using a questionnaire and score documentation. Data analysis technique used descriptive analysis and inferential analysis which was processed with the help of SPSS 24 application. Descriptive analysis used mode, while inferential analysis used Two Way ANOVA. Based on the results of the analysis with a significance level of 5% or 0,05, it can be concluded that: (1) there is an influence of learning motivation on mathematics learning achievement of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan; (2) there is an influence of gender on the mathematics learning achievement of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan; (3) there is no interaction effect between learning motivation and gender on mathematics learning achievement of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 5 Tarakan.

<em>The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of learning motivation on mathematics learning achievement of eighth grade students of SMP N 1 Kuala Behe acedemic year of 2018/2019 Landak Regency. This type of research was quantitative with ex post facto approach. The population of all eighth grade students at SMP N 1 Kuala Behe. The number of sample in this study was 64 students who were selected using saturated sampling technique. The data analysis technique used simple linear regressionwith prerequisite test namely normality of Kolmogorov-Smirnov method, heteroscedasticity of Glejser method, linearity using test for linearity, multicolonity using Variance Inflation Factor (VIF), and autocorrelation of Durbin-Watson method. The result shows that there is an effect of learning motivation on mathematics learning achievement of eighth grade students of SMP N 1 Kuala Behe academic year 2018/2019 Landak Regency. The result of R square = 0,915 x 100% = 19,5% which indicates that the mathematics learning achievement of eighth grade students of SMP N 1 Kuala Behe can be explained by learning motivation of 19,5%.</em>

<p class="E-JOURNALTitle">Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh karakteristik gender dan motivasi belajar, baik secara parsial maupun secara simultan, terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VI SD Negeri di Kabupaten Pekalongan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis <em>ex-post facto</em>. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VI SD Negeri di Kabupaten Pekalongan sebanyak 12.056. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 393 siswa ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik <em>area sampling</em>. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen angket dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan regresi dengan variabel <em>dummy</em>, regresi sederhana, dan regresi berganda. Analisis dilakukan pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Penelitian menunjukkan hasil sebagai berikut. (1) Tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan (p &gt; 0,05) karakteristik gender terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa. (2) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan (p &lt; 0,05) motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa dengan kontribusi sebesar 44,6%. This study used quantitative approach with the ex-post facto types. The population of this study was grade six students of public elementary schools in Pekalongan numbered 12,056. While the sample of 393 students was determined using the technique of sampling area. Data were collected using questionnaires and documentation. Data were analyzed using regression with dummy variables, simple regression, and multiple regression. The analyses were carried out at significance level of 5%. Research shows the following results. (1) There is no significant effect (p &gt; 0.05) of gender characteristics on students mathematics learning achievement. (2) There is a significant effect (p &lt; 0.05) of learning motivation on students mathematics learning achievement with a contribution of 44.6%. This thesis is purposed at proving the effectiveness of cartoon videos in teaching speaking to the Eighth Grade Students of SMPN 2 Rantau Kalimantan Selatan in academic year of 2013/2014, and showing that there is a significant difference in speaking ability between the students who were taught by using cartoon videos and those who were taught by using conventional method. This study is an experimental research. The population of this study was the eighth grade students of SMPN 2 Rantau Kalimantan Selatan in academic year of 2013/2014 which consisted of seven classes. The total number of population was 158. There were two classes taken as the sample, Class VIII B serving as control class were taught by using conventional method, while class VIII F as the experimental class were taught by using cartoon videos. Class VIII B consisted of 22 students and class VIII F consisted of 22 students. Both classes were given the pre-test at the beginning and the post-test at the end after the treatment. The data were collected by using speaking test. The data were analyzed by using t-test computation, descriptive analysis, and inferential analysis. The research findings show that there is a significant difference in students’ speaking ability between the experimental group taught by using cartoon videos and those who were taught by using conventional method. The result of the pre-test shows that both groups are poor, while the post-test result shows that the experiment group is better than the control one. The mean score of the experimental class in pre-test was 42.50 and that of control class was 42.73. The mean score in post-test of the experimental class was 75.68 and that of the control class was 57.50. It can be seen that the mean score of the experimental class was higher than that of control class in post-test. Furthermore, based on the hypothesis testing, it could be seen that the value of -t obtained (-5.245) < - t table (-2.018), at the significant level 5%. This implied that there is a significant difference of students’ speaking ability between the students who were taught by using cartoon videos and those who were taught by using conventional method.

This study aims to determine whether there are differences in maths learning achievement between classes taught by cooperative learning model Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type and class taught by cooperative learning type Numbered Head Together (NHT) in material sistim coordinat cartesius class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kediri 2018/2019 school year. Data collection techniques in this study are test techniques with instruments in the form of learning achievement test, learning implementation observasion sheets and learning implementation. Data analysis techniques use descriptive statistics. Hypothesis test of students' final ability (posstest) with t-test of two parties at a significance level of 5% resulted in tcount <ttable namely 0,020 < 2.030 which means that there were nothing differences in mathematics learning achievement between classes taught by cooperative learning model Student Team Achievement Division ( STAD) and classes taught by the cooperative learning model Numbered Head Together (NHT) in material sistim coordinat cartesius class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kediri academic year 2018/2019.

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemandirian belajar matematika siswa selama proses pembelajaran online  kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kota Jambi yang mempengaruhi hasil belajar matematika siswa yang perlu diteliti secara sistematis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah bertujuan untuk mengukur pengaruh yang signifikan antara kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kota Jambi Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021 dengan jumlah keseluruhan 251 orang yang terbagi 7 kelas. Sampel dalam penelitia ini berjumlah 154 orang terbagi 7 kelas yang diambil secara random sampling (teknik acak). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan pemberian angket dan tes uraian. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji regresi sederhana dengan bantuan program SPSS 23 terdiri  dari  analisis  deskriptif,  uji  persyaratan  analisis  data,  dan  pengujian  hipotesis. Berdasarkan analisis deskriptif diperoleh gambaran kemandirian belajar siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 2 Kota Jambi secara umum termasuk kedalam kategori sedang dengan persentasi 68,18%, skor terendah 41, skor tertinggi 78, rangenya 37, dan gambaran hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 2 Kota Jambi secara umum termasuk kategori sedang dengan persentasi 64,93%, skor terendah 8, skor tertinggi 65, dan rangenya 57. Berdasarkan analisis inferensial terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika pada pembelajaran online siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kota Jambi. Kata kunci : Kemandirian Belajar, Hasil Belajar Matematika ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by the low independence of students in learning mathematics during the online learning process for class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Jambi City which affects students' mathematics learning outcomes which need to be studied systematically. The purpose of this study was to measure the significant effect of independent learning on students' mathematics learning outcomes. This research is a quantitative research. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Jambi City for the 2020/2021 academic year with a total of 251 people divided into 7 classes. The sample in this study amounted to 154 people divided into 7 classes taken by random sampling (random technique). Data collection is done by using questionnaires and description tests. Data analysis was carried out using a simple regression test with the help of the SPSS 23 program consisting of descriptive analysis, data analysis requirements test, and hypothesis testing. Based on the descriptive analysis, it was obtained that the learning independence of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Jambi City was generally included in the medium category with a percentage of 68.18%, the lowest score was 41, the highest score was 78, the range was 37, and an overview of the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII students in SMP In general, Negeri 2 Jambi City is in the medium category with a percentage of 64.93%, the lowest score is 8, the highest score is 65, and the range is 57. Based on inferential analysis, there is a significant effect of learning independence on mathematics learning outcomes in online learning for eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Jambi City. Keywords: Independent Learning, Mathematics Learning Outcomes

Teachers are required to be able to manage the class with good way. If the class has good managed, it is expected that students' learning motivation will be increased. The purpose of this study  are to describes: 1) students' perceptions of the teacher's ability in class management at MTs Nurul Falah Airmolek, Subdistrict of Pasir Penyu, Indragiri Hulu Regency ?; 2) learning motivation of eighth grade students at MTs Nurul Falah Airmolek, Subdistrict of Pasir Penyu, Indragiri Hulu Regency ?; and 3) the relationship between students' perceptions of the teacher's ability in class management and learning motivation of eighth grade students of MTs Nurul Falah Airmolek, Subdistrict of Pasir Penyu, Indragiri Hulu Regency? This research was a correlation study, which connected the students' perceptions of the teacher's ability in class management and learning motivation of eighth grade students at MTs Nurul Falah Airmolek. The population in this study were all students of class VIII MTs Nurul Falah, there were 95 as the sample. Meanwhile, the population is not more than 100 people. Thus, the instrument used to collect data in this study is a questionnaire. The questionnaire has been tried out first to find the validity and reliability test. To determine the relationship between students' perceptions of the teacher's ability in class management and student learning motivation, the data was analyzed through contingency coefficient correlation techniques because the data produced are not normally distributed and not linear. The findings of this study showed that: 1) students' perceptions of the teacher's ability in class management at MTs Nurul Falah Airmolek, Pasir Penyu Subdistrict, Indragiri Hulu District, are mostly classified as medium; 2) learning motivation of eighth grade students at MTs Nurul Falah Airmolek, Pasir Penyu Subdistrict, Indragiri Hulu Regency, is mostly classified as medium; and 3) there is a relationship between students' perceptions of the teacher's ability to manage classes and learning motivation of eighth grade students at MTs Nurul Falah Airmolek, Pasir Penyu District, Indragiri Hulu Regency.

The purpose of this research is to determine whether using Numbered Heads Together (NHT) can improve students’ ability to write descriptive texts at SMPN 6 Toili Barat. This research uses quasi-experimental research that requires a post-test for both groups. The research population was eighth grade students of SMP 6 Toili Barat. The sample of this research was class VIII A as an experimental class and consisted of 26 students while class VIII B was a control class and consisted of 27 students. The test consisted of pre-test and post-test. Data were analyzed statistically. After being analyzed, the result of t-counted was 6,744 with a degree of freedom 51, and a significance level of 0,05, t-table was 1,675. Therefore, the t-test result is higher than the t-table. It means that the hypothesis of this research can be accepted. The result showed that there was a significant influence in using Numbered Heads Together to improve students’ writing abilities in descriptive text in eighth grade at SMPN 6 Toili Barat Keywords:Improving; Writing; Descriptive Text; NHT.

This study aims to describe whether there are differences in learning mathematics-based problem-solving in terms of results and student motivation of mathematics. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research and the design carried out on this study is a pretest-postest nonequivalent group design. In this research, the observation was done twice, before and after treatment. Observations made earlier are called pre-test and later observations are called post-test. The result of the calculation of the implementation of mathematics learning with the problem-solving based approach to student achievement is significant (p = 0,000 <0.05). It showed a Fcount of 1.002 <Ftabel of 1.76 with a significance level of 5%. Thus H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected, meaning there is a significant difference in mathematics learning achievement between problem-solving approach and conventional. The result of the calculation of the implementation of mathematics learning with the problem-solving-based approach to student's learning motivation is significant (p-count = 0.03 <0.05) or refer to Fcount of 1.07 <Ftable of 1.76 with a significance level of 5%. So that Ho accepted, it means there are differences in student learning motivation that is taught between using problem-solving based learning and conventional learning. Learning with problem-solving approaches will be effective if the teacher as an educator prepares the problems according to the context. From the results of this study, the researchers recommend being used as a reference for similar research with different subject materials. This research can be developed by adding other attribute variables such as student self-confidence, verbal ability, motivation, nor critical thinking ability.

The research aims at knowing and finding whether or not the application of four corner debate is effective to improve students speaking skill at the eighth grade students of SMP Jamaluddin ArRumi Jatisari Jenggawah Jember in academic year 2016/2017. The population of the study was 78 students with the number of sample 31 students in class VIII B. The research was a preexperimental research in which only one class which was treated using the technique. The data collection was administered through conducting speaking test and scored students performance. Afterwards the scores were converted to the school passing grade and then calculated in paired ttest. The result showed some data including students average score in pretest and posttest. The average score in pretest was 67.59 and 76.15 in posttest. It indicated an improvement for 8.65 points. The result of paired ttest calculation was 8.61 and the ttable score was 1.697with 0.05 significance level of score and DF 31 (32 to 1). The score analysis indicated that the ttest score was higher than the t-table score. Therefore, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was approved which means the application of four corner debate in the classroom is effective to teach English speaking to the eighth grade students of SMP Jamaluddin ArRumi Jatisari Jenggawah Jember in academic year 2016/2017. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the use of cooperative learning model two stay two stray towards the skill level essay writing exposition class VIII SMP Negeri 9 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental method. The design of this study one group pretest and posttest design. Total population of 224 students. The sample in this research is class student of SMP Negeri 9 Padang VIII.1 by the number of 31 students were determined using purposive sampling technique. In this research there are two variables, namely (1) exposition essay writing skills of students before using cooperative learning model type of two stay two stray and (2) exposition essay writing skills of students after using cooperative learning model type of two stay two stray. The instrument used in this study tests the performance. This research data result score skill tests exposition essay writing class VIII SMP Negeri 9 Padang before and after using cooperative learning model type of two stay two stray. The results of this study based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H_1) received the 95% significance level and degrees of freedom (df) = (N_1 + n_2) -2 because ttable <thitung (1.67 <8.19). In other words, the writing skills essay exposition eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 9 Padang after using cooperative learning model type of two stay two stray better than writing skills essay exposition eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 9 Padang before using cooperative learning model type of two stay two stray. Thus, cooperative learning model two stay two stray can be applied in teaching essay writing skills exposition.
