The study found that the degree of effectiveness of teaching the athletics program for young children (Kids Athletics) from the teachers’ point of view is very large, reaching (4.30) and that the degree of teachers’ awareness of the program is very large, reaching (4.20), and the responses of the sample members about the availability of program implementation requirements reached (3.81), and there were no statistical differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) between the arithmetic averages of teachers' responses to the effectiveness of teaching the program and teachers' awareness about the program according to academic qualifications and years of experience for teachers due to the variables of academic qualifications and years of experience for teachers. In light of the results of the study, the researchers recommend the importance of including the athletics program for youngsters (Kids Athletics)  in the curricula of the fifth and sixth grades of the school PE subject due to its importance and contribution to achieving the objectives of the subject and developing motor abilities, and the need to continue in the qualifying and training programs to develop the capabilities of PE teachers in teaching the program and to ensure that schools are equipped with the necessary equipment to teach the suggested program, and provide the requirements for its implementation within the academic units of the curriculum.

The aim of this study was to examine preservice physical education teachers’ perceived competence in selecting teaching techniques according to certain variables. The research was designed as a descriptive study using a screening model. The study universe consisted of a total of 348 preservice physical education teachers studying in different departments. The “Scale of Preservice Teachers’ Perceived Competence in Selecting Teaching Techniques” was used as the data collection tool. For analysis of the data, frequency and percentage distribution, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test and one-way analysis of variance values were used. The level of significance was taken as p < 0.05 for all tests. The results obtained in the study revealed that according to the evaluation of the scale score intervals, the participants’ mean scores (4.24±0.36) for perceptions of competence in selecting teaching techniques were high. According to the subdimensions, mean scores of 4.30±0.38 in the positive prediction subdimension and 4.11±0.39 in the negative prediction subdimension were obtained. No difference was found between groups according to the gender variable. According to the variable for type of department attended, it was seen that students in the coaching department who obtained the right to become teachers via certificate programmes had lower perception levels. Another finding of the study was that as grade level increased, participants’ levels of perceived competence increased. As a result of the research, recommendations are offered regarding the need for preservice teachers, from their selection onwards, to be educated with programmes which give priority to domain-specific practices, and for certificate programmes that grant the right to become a teacher through short-term training to be reviewed.

We evaluate a group of students, presumed by their physical education teachers to be gender divergent. This study suggests that PE teachers confuse "gender-divergence" with uncoordinated motor behaviors. This may be because PE classes emphasize motor abilities and coordination and PE teachers may pay particular attention to these characteristics and use them (wrongly) as a criterion for gender divergence. However, the 10 presumed "divergent students" differ from their peers by being more likely to have friends of the opposite sex, interacting with groups of the opposite sex, preferring physical activities typical of the opposite sex, demonstrating less knowledge of sex, preferring interactive rather than collaborative activities and preferring more individual, less complex, less aggressive activities with less body contact.

Abstract: Human beings began expressing ideas, feelings, and emotions through their bodies’ motor abilities more than 350.000 years ago. In the beginning, they did it through gestures, dances and religious rituals. Nowadays there is a much wider range of practices, and in the last years people have started expressing themselves through internet with challenges and viral trends. Physical education, which has experienced important didactic and content changes, must be updated with the different strategies to work on human expressiveness. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to review new resources taken from the internet and potential approaches within the social medias to address expressiveness in schools in an innovative way. These emerging proposals are popular, meaningful, and authentic. Nevertheless, methodological suggestions are included in order to implement these expressive resources in the classroom from an educational point of view.
