ABSTRACTIn the last years the world started to live together with a process of expressive social, cultural and economical changes. The new century began mythicized as the new era, where the progresses are so fast that the future becomes, in a certain way, unknown. The world faces a new way of seeing the time, the power, the work, the communication, the information, the institutions and especially, the education and the teaching, the focus of the reflection in this paper. This approach proposes the observation of the complex situation of education in schools nowadays and the need for changes in the formation of the teacher. According to this proposal, are presented here, the results of the investigation developed considering the analytic possibilities opened by SACRISTÁN. This work tries to disentangle the teacher’s function from the demands imposed nowadays, in a contribution to the redirection of prescriptive proposals for changes and specially teacher training.RESUMENNos últimos anos o mundo passou a conviver com um processo de expressivas mudanças sociais, culturais e econômicas.

Purpose – The past three decades have seen the transformation of manufacturing involving its global dispersion and fragmentation. However, a number of recent developments appear to suggest that manufacturing may be entering a new era of flux that will impact the configuration of production around the globe. The purpose of this paper is to address the major emerging themes that may shape this configuration and concludes that most of them are still in their initial stages and are not likely to create a radical shift in the next few years in how manufacturing is configured around the world. These themes were presented in a special session on “Manufacturing in the World – Where Next?” at the 2013 EurOMA Conference in Dublin, Ireland. Design/methodology/approach – The paper provides a series of perspectives on some key considerations pertaining to the future of manufacturing. An evaluation of their likely impact is offered and insights for the future of manufacturing are presented. Findings – The importance of a focus on the extended manufacturing network is established. The need for customer engagement and a forward looking approach that extends to the immediate customer and beyond emerges as a consistent feature across the different perspectives presented in the paper. There is both the potential and need for the adoption of innovative business models on the part of manufacturers. Originality/value – The paper presents in-depth perspectives from scholars in the field of manufacturing on the changing landscape of manufacturing. These perspectives culminate in a series of insights on the future of global manufacturing that inform future research agendas and help practitioners in formulating their manufacturing strategies.

At present, there is a transition under way from the industrial to the post-industrial phase of civilization, from the world of machines to the world of people. This transition is happening very quickly, in the form of a humanitarian and technological revolution. This makes even more urgent the problem of building a bridge between humanitarian and natural science culture, which is closely related to the development of interdisciplinary approaches. In its anniversary report, the Club of Rome “Come On!” put forward the idea of a New Enlightenment, intended to change the meanings, values, image of the future, the imperatives of development of the entire world civilization. The article presents potential directions of the new educational project. There is shown that they are associated with acquisition of the integrity of people, with their harmonious development in rational, emotional and intuitive spaces. This is illustrated by the development of modern mathematics, in which the ideas of harmony, beauty, as well as, in many parts, its approximation to art, are beginning to play an increasingly important role. The new era allows for a reinterpretation at a new level of the concept of “Homo Ludens” by J. Huizinga, an outstanding cultural researcher. The play is acting as a basis for self-organization, for culture formation, science and technology development. The great challenges faced by humanity require a change of world outlook. The article shows that, at a new level, there is occurring a return to the ideas of Russian cosmists and, in particular, to the concept of all-unity by V.S. Solovyov.At the present turn, a choice is being made between the New Enlightenment and the New Middle Ages. At the point of bifurcation, which is being passed by humanity now, a key role can be played by the culture and education that correspond to the new realities. The article suggests approaches that will allow Russia to avoid the future shock and to be a subject rather than an object of the changes associated with the New Enlightenment.

The book “Leading the Revolution”, by Gary Hamel, brings important contributions to innovation studies when associated with the strategy. The author states that we are on the threshold of revolution era in which traditional forms of performance’ search for organizations no longer work. The milestone of this new era, according to Gary Hamel, is the radical innovation, whose most important feature is making difference for the customer, creating value for the organization and preparing it for the future, through changing its business model, if necessary. This paperwork, besides discussing some of Gary Hamel’s works, “Leading the Revolution”, in particular, investigates the influence of this book in other authors’ work, through bibliometric techniques. We have identified four approaches adopted by authors that use “Leading the Revolution” as a reference: change management; entrepreneurship; strategy and competitiveness and innovation. This work provides an analysis of the impact of “Leading the Revolution” and brings ways for the use of Hamel's theory in future studies of innovation and strategy.

The chapter discusses the key lines of international collaboration in the fields of exploration and development of the Arctic, from the first autonomous expeditions of the late 19th century to the powerful long-standing joint research conducted by thousands of scholars from all over the world. The chapter outlines the key trends of international cooperation within the framework of the exploration of the Arctic, as well as forecasts its development in the future. It is expected that the long-standing comprehensive studies of the Arctic will be continued due to the specific importance of this region for the future of the mankind. Robotic marine expeditions will start a new era in the exploration of the Arctic Ocean. Taking into account the complexity and high costs of polar studies and the growing interest of many countries to the High North, the international collaboration in the Arctic is expected to grow.

Abstract. This research took place just after the end of the protests following the killing of a 16-year-old boy by a policeman in Greece in December 2008. Participants (N = 224) were 16-year-olds in different schools in Attiki. Informed by the Politicized Collective Identity Model ( Simon & Klandermans, 2001 ), a questionnaire measuring grievances, adversarial attributions, emotions, vulnerability, identifications with students and activists, and questions about justice and Greek society in the future, as well as about youngsters’ participation in different actions, was completed. Four profiles of the participants emerged from a cluster analysis using representations of the conflict, emotions, and identifications with activists and students. These profiles differed on beliefs about the future of Greece, participants’ economic vulnerability, and forms of participation. Importantly, the clusters corresponded to students from schools of different socioeconomic areas. The results indicate that the way young people interpret the events and the context, their levels of identification, and the way they represent society are important factors of their political socialization that impacts on their forms of participation. Political socialization seems to be related to youngsters’ position in society which probably constitutes an important anchoring point of their interpretation of the world.

With signs of normalization seemingly in place in the world economy, a number of problems show the possibility of aggravation in the future. The volume of derivatives in American banks grows significantly, high risk instruments are back in place and their use becomes more active, global imbalances increase. All of the above requires thorough approaches when creating mechanisms which can neutralize external shocks for the Russian economy and make it possible to develop in the new post-crisis environment.

According to Ki Hajar Dewantara, education is a civilizing process that a business gives high values ??to the new generation in a society that is not only maintenance but also with a view to promote and develop the culture of the nobility toward human life. Education is a human investment that can be used now and in the future. One other important factor in supporting human life in addition to education, which is technology. In this globalization era, technology has touched every joint of human life. The combination of these two factors will be a new innovation in the world of education. The innovation has been implemented by Raharja College, namely the use of the method iLearning (Integrated Learning) in the learning process. Where such learning has been online based. ILearning method consists of TPI (Ten Pillars of IT iLearning). Rinfo is one of the ten pillars, where it became an official email used by the whole community’s in Raharja College to communicate with each other. Rinfo is Gmail, which is adapted from the Google platform with typical raharja.info as its domain. This Rinfo is a medium of communication, as well as a tool to support the learning process in Raharja College. Because in addition to integrated with TPi, this Rinfo was connected also support with other learning tools, such as Docs, Drive, Sites, and other supporting tools.

Radiomics is a science that investigates a large number of features from medical images using data-characterisation algorithms, with the aim to analyse disease characteristics that are indistinguishable to the naked eye. Radiogenomics attempts to establish and examine the relationship between tumour genomic characteristics and their radiologic appearance. Although there is certainly a lot to learn from these relationships, one could ask the question: what is the practical significance of radiogenomic discoveries? This increasing interest in such applications inevitably raises numerous legal and ethical questions. In an environment such as the technology field, which changes quickly and unpredictably, regulations need to be timely in order to be relevant.  In this paper, issues that must be solved to make the future applications of this innovative technology safe and useful are analysed.
