Abstract--A manual door security system that has many shortcomings including difficulty opening locks when used, easily broken and keys that tend to be duplicated thereby reducing convenience and security. To prevent this, a good and easy-to-use room security system is needed. At this time began to develop an electronic room safety system using RFID technology (Radio-Frequency Identification) to improve the security system at the door of the house. In this study discusses the design and prototype of an automatic room door lock using an RFID system. The research method used is research and development. This Automatic Door is programmed by the Arduino application by creating a security system using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) as a radio wave of data carrier frequencies that will be received by the receiver. The results of this study are the creation of an automatic home door security system using RFID which has a better level of security compared to manual security, so that it can cope with acts of theft in homes that are often abandoned by residents. In addition, the use of RFID can also minimize the overall lock on the house, so that every family member needs only one tag card / key to open all the locks on the door in the house. Security Parking UIN Walisongo Semarang at this time can be said to be in poor condition. The high case of loss of a motor vehicle cause anxiety for the academic community. Parking system that is traditional that is doing the checking of identity cards at the exit of the campus is less effective. Hence the need for a system of security parking modern and computerized, so that activities out of the vehicle can be recorded and stored automatically. Based on these problems, the authors designed a parking Security System as a WEB-based form of increased security parking campus UIN Walisongo Semarang. By using RFID technology (Radio Frequency Identification) are planted on the card indentitasi, which can later be used as an authentication tool typing will enter and exit the campus area. To provide double security, there are Features of the Live Camera with the base website that serves as a tool for monitoring vehicles that are parked in real time. The output of this final project is to produce a prototype security system parking. Not only specialized hardware, but also software design of the System monitoring of vehicles in live Web-based. So the users of the parking facilities can monitor the vehicle anywhere

Radio frequency identification (RFID) is a radiosupported identification technology that typically operates by saving a serial number on a radio transponder that contains a microchip for data storage. Via radio waves, the coded information is communicated to a reading device (Jones et al., 2005). RFID does not represent a new development; it was devised by the American military in the 1940s. Since the technology’s clearance for civil use in 1977, RFID has been successfully used for the identification of productive livestock, for electronic immobilizer systems in vehicles, or for the surveillance of building entrances (Srivastava, 2005). Due to decreasing unit costs (especially for passive transponders), RFID technologies now seem increasingly applicable for the labeling of goods and semi-finished products. By this, manual or semi-automatic data entry, for instance through the use of barcodes, can be avoided. This closes the technical gap between the real world (characterized by the lack of distribution transparency of its objects) and the digital world (characterized by logically and physically unambiguous and therefore distribution-transparent objects). In addition, RFID facilitates fully automated simultaneous recognition of more than one transponder without direct line of sight between reader and transponders.

The adoption of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology by libraries promises a solution that could make it possible to inventory hundreds of thousands of items in their collections in days instead of months. In addition, it would allow patrons to check out and return library property automatically at any time of the day. Besides speeding up checkouts, keeping collections in better order, and alleviating repetitive strain injuries among librarians, RFID promises to provide a better control on theft, nonreturns, and misfiling of a library’s assets. With an estimated 35 million library items tagged worldwide in more than three hundred libraries, this technology is generating ever-increasing interest. In October and November 2004, the industrial technology department and the Robert E. Kennedy Library at Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo, surveyed participating libraries, RFID electronic discussion groups, and Library and Information Technology Association (LITA-L) electronic discussion group subscribers to collect information with regards to the implementation of RFID systems in libraries. Opinions were gathered regarding such topics, actual or estimated, as RFID implementation costs and time; the impact of the technology on operations such as handling of volumes and security; and RFID system features adopted such as conversion stations, self-checkout units, and security systems. Information on the various RFID library components and the results from the survey are presented in this paper.
