This research was conducted to explain the presentation of the boundary meanings presented by Batas film through their character. The border becomes the front face of a country. The social conditions of people who are still lagging behind and far from infrastructure development make the people living in the border vulnerable to various problems. As a message delivery medium, meanings are represented by character in film. The author analyzed five scenes on each character in Batas film. These are, Ubuh’s character is threatened by the bad people who chase her in the middle of the forest, Arif’s character as a police officer who looking for the information in the community, Jaleswari’s character who cares about education problems at the border, Adeus’s character who has great desire for the advancement of the people at the border but get threats from individuals who do not want the people on the border to get a high education, the character of the Panglima who has power in the Dayak tribe community. This study uses a critical paradigm with a qualitative approach. The process describes the meaning of signs into denotations, connotations, and myths. The results of this study indicate that meanings are defined as areas that have complex problems. Access to transnational crime is still very easy as security is needed in the area. Despite the increase in technology and technology, the region must have the slightest education, strive to advance the regions, without prioritizing their own interests without ignoring the cultural values of their ancestors.

The multi-dimentional crisis which includes the uncontrolled population explosion, the more dense settlement, the amount of pollutants in the earth, water crisis, global warming, and a lot of life pressure / stress are signs of the social problems of the development process. That is why, we need to reflect critically on the goals of development and values that discourage development. In this article, the author seeks to explore ethical values in traditional Baduy society which can be used as inspiration in applying development values that can minimize the problem raised by development. This research used qualitative approach. Research results show that community grouping in isolated community can be used ethically as a means to measure mentality of Indonesian development. For example the ethics of Baduy reflects social character to develop the pillars for national cultural values, technological development scenario, food security, independence, lifestyle, promoting the interests of society, focus on running projects, and away from the politics of economic transactions and power in development. On the other hand there are symptoms of the destruction of isolated communities ethics under the pretext of environmentally friendly development that comes from inside and outside.

Enrique Pichon-Rivière, a pioneer of psychoanalysis, worked and wrote in Argentina in the mid-twentieth century, but his work has not so far been translated into English. From the beginning, Pichon-Rivière understood the social applications of analytic thinking, centring his ideas on "el vinculo", which is generally translated as "the link", but could equally be translated as "the bond". The concept that each individual is born into human social links, is shaped by them, and simultaneously contributes to them inextricably ties people's inner worlds to the social world of family and society in which they live. Pichon-Rivière believed, therefore, that family analysis and group and institutional applications of analysis were as important as individual psychoanalysis. Many of the original family and couple therapists from whom our field learned trained with him. Because his work was centred in the analytic writings of Fairbairn and Klein, as well as those of the anthropologist George Herbert Mead and the field theory of Kurt Lewin, his original ideas have important things to teach us today. This article summarises some of his central ideas such as the link, spiral process, the single determinate illness, and the process of therapy.
