Eco-Innovation Enablers and Typology in Green Furniture Manufacturing

Fierce competition has forced firms to be more creative and innovative to increase market share. Differentiating between green products or services with conventional products or services is one of the ways for firms to improve their business sustainability. The objective of this chapter is to explore the eco-innovation enablers and design its typology to measure the current green business practices in industry. Although there are many well-documented enablers or practices of eco-innovation that have been researched, this chapter focuses on practices that contribute towards the successful adoption of eco-innovation by one SME in green furniture manufacturing. This chapter uses the case study method as a source of data collection. Eco-innovation typology has been found in this study to define the effort of green company by looking at the target of eco-innovation versus the mechanism of eco-innovation.

Amil zaka in zaka institutions has the right as one of eight ashnaf. Their rights are usually used by zaka institutions as operational cost. However, not all of the intitutions which manage zaka take amil’s right, one of them is Yayasan Nurul Hayat. This institution does not take amil’s right and it is independent in its operational cost. To support this operational cost, Yayasan Nurul Hayat establish business unit with utilize its profit.This study aimed to discover the capability of business unit in supporting operational cost of Yayasan Nurul Hayat. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive case study method. The selections of informant are using purposive sampling method. Data collection was conducted by semi-structured interviews and documentation. This data is analyzed using descriptive method.The result of this study shows that Yayasan Nurul Hayat Employments’ Salary is taken from business unit’s profit. It is also used to give bonus for employments and grow the business unit of Yayasan Nurul Hayat up. From the result of this study, it can be concluded that the business unit which is developed has great capability to support operational cost of Yayasan Nurul Hayat.

Fierce competition in increasing market share growth prompts companies to strive to create a memorable brand identity. One common method adopted by some companies is using a video advertisement, which contains the message they want to convey about their product or brand. This message is intended to persuade people who see the advertisement to buy their product. In doing so, companies usually use the visual, linguistic, spatial and other semiotic resources, often referred to as a semiotic mode. Through the case study of Innisfree’s video advertisement “Brand History,” we analyze how Innisfree uses linguistic, spatial, and visual mode for creating a message that enables consumers to remember and to persuade them buy its product. Our findings show that the message in the video advertisement is that Innisfree is a beauty product that upholds nature as its ingredients, has high quality, and preserves the environment where it takes its ingredients. Key Words: Advertisement, Persuasion, Modes, Verbal and Non-verbal expressions.

This study aims to figure how is the dynamic or economic condition change caused by the existence of Islamic tourism of Sunan Kalijaga Tomb to stall sellers who most of them are the locals lives around the Islamic tourism of Sunan Kalijaga tomb. The research method used is descriptive case study method. Where the data collection done by interview and observation. In this research, the informant is the parties involved in the tourism activity, which is the seller, the visitor, and the worker around the Islamic tourism of Sunan Kalijaga tomb, Demak District. The data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation, and make a conclusion.The research result suggests that the existence of Islamic tourism of Sunan Kalijaga tomb Demak District brings economical change towards the seller works around.

Implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is used later to improve the image of the company and its business existence. Instead of CSR to empower people its delude people with a profit motive. Islamic CSR is that CSR refers to business practices that have an ethical responsibility Islamically, companies incorporate Islamic norms characterized by sincerity commitment in maintaining the social contract in its business practices in halal lawful. This study aimed to reveal the implementation of Islamic CSR PT. Bumi Lingga Pertiwi Gresik.This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive case study method. The selections of informant are using purposive sampling method. Data collection was conducted by semi-structured interviews and documentation. Analysis of the data using descriptive method.The results of this study indicate that PT. Bumi Lingga Pertiwi has implemented Islamic CSR based on unity, caliphate, justice and broterhood by creating and running a cooperation agreement in accordance with sharia corridor, provide good service to customers, act fairly and avoid discrimination, provide assistance to the poor in the villages around, helping the development of education and worship, as well as participate protecting the environment by way of planting trees together.

This study aims to determine the impact of learning from home (BDR) in career planning for class XI MA NW Samawa students class XI MA NW Samawa and to find out the factores that influence the understanding of career planning during the BDR period. This research approach uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The population in this study were students. .data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of research on class XI students at the MA NW Samawa school, the results showed that the implementation of learning from home (BDR) had an impact on career planning for students in class XI MA NW Samawa. .it means that students experience obstacles in planning intensive career planning. Students lack information related to career planning, lack of understanding of students to know themselves, students' unpreparedness in planning their careers. .it means that students have not been able to plan their future careers, students have not understood the steps in career planning which include: recognizing talents, paying attention to interests, paying attention to values, paying attention to personality, and understanding their potential. .This study has proven that the implementation of learning from home (BDR) has an impact on career planning for class XI students at MA NW Samawa.

This research is qualitative research with case study method. The focus of this research is to explore the value of ethnomathematics in the culture of the Bali Mula society in the Kintamani sub-district, Bali Province. The research starts from the exploration phase of ethnomathematics, mapping ethnomathematics with school mathematics, explores aspects of pedagogy in the preservation of ethnomathematics and concludes on how ethnomathematics is applied to mathematics learning in schools. Data collection was carried out through observation of Mejejahitan activities carried out by Bali Mula women. Data from observations are then linked to the results of documentation analysis and strengthened by the results of interviews. The triangulation method is carried out to check the validity of the research data. Based on the results of data analysis there is a relationship between the activities of Mejejahitan with school mathematics. The mathematical concepts contained in the Majejahitan activity that is reflecting (reflecting) and predicting or predicting patterns. Because there is a relationship between Majejahitan activities with school mathematics, it can be said that there are ethnomathematics values in the culture of the Bali Mula society in Kintamani District, Bali Province.

This research was concerned about the development of religious awareness based on adult education for corruption inmates in Pesantren Al - Hidayah. The main objective is to describe development of religious awareness process-based adult education for corruption inmates in Pesantren Al – Hidayah. The literature review of the research comprised: religious awareness, adult education, penitentiary. This research was conducted through descriptive research and case study method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used through observation, interview and documentation. Subjects in this research was a spiritual adviser, Corruption inmates and tutors. The research showed that the religious awareness was applied through a participatory, fair and equitable, transparent, learning need; Multi way communication, a variety of learning methods, pragmatic, problem-based in awareness and inoculation of belief, habituation, practice and reinforcement process; spiritual adviser role as a facilitative leader. This study aims to explore the consumers’ attitudes and satisfaction toward restaurant. This research is conducted at "XXX" Lamongan Restaurant in Bandar Lampung. Data collection was carried out in January-February 2019 by the case study method employing the number of respondents of 60 people who were selected by nonprobability sampling method. The data were analyzed using Multiatribut Fishbein Model, Customer Satisfaction Index and Importance Performance Analysis. The results of this research showed that food taste has the highest score of consumers attitude toward restaurant. The satisfaction level of the restaurant has the value of 83.73%, included to the very satisfied category. The restaurant has been implementing the product attributes that were suitable with consumers’ wishes.Key words : consumer, restaurant, satisfaction
