The availability of website for an institution is very important, especially for an educational institution just like ABC University. The website can become a mean of communication from the institute to its stake holder: students, parents, industries, lecturers, administrators, and government or from the stakeholders to the institution. The availability of website is also important to increase the image of the institution, since there is university web ranking published by WeboMatrix. ABC University has already built its website and communicated, socialized as well the availability of its website to all students, lecturers, and administrator. So far the adoption of the websites by students, lecturers, and administrators especially by using the Modified Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model has not been explored. This lack of knowledge motivated the researcher to conduct this study. This study investigates the key factors that affect the behavioral intention and used behavior of customers toward the use of the website in ABC University Indonesia. The approach employed for this study is based on a modified unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model. A survey method was employed to gather data from 310 respondents coming from the students, lecturers, administrator, and management. The collected data was analyzed using a quantitative investigation. The partial least squares (PLS) method was used to quantitatively evaluate the impact of the key constructs of the modified UTAUT model. This research clearly confirmed that modified UTAUT model which consists ofperformance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, andcontentcan be used to determinebehavioral intentionof consumers to use Website.

This descriptive study explores the impact of washback on ESL students’ performance at secondary level. In this study, the term “washback” refers to the test effect on content of curriculum, learning English, teaching and the activities conducted in classroom. The factors other than the test itself may affect positive washback; lack of positive washback does not make test invalid whereas the negative washback effect occurs when there is lack of construct validity of test. Test design and validity plays vital role in achieving positive washback (Messick, 1996). The study aims to investigate the effects of positive washback and benefits in learning and teaching processes in ESL classrooms, while negative washback effects are destructive and can be a hindrance in achieving the goals in ESL classrooms. Recent research is descriptive in nature and survey based method was adopted for this study. 50 teachers were selected by using purposive sampling technique and 100 students were selected by using simple random sampling technique. Three tools were used for this study including: Questionnaire, Test and Observation checklist. The findings of the study exhibit that negative washback effect has its influence on tests, learning and teaching. The study concludes with a realization of the fact that language pedagogy is affected by washback. However, it is claimed by majority of the teachers that washback affects the selection of teaching methods because exams stress brings pressure and it becomes necessary for English teachers to develop linguistic competence in their students. For future researches it is recommended that other studies should be made in order to find out the impact of washback on the strategies adopted by learners while learning second language.

There is a dilemma of accepting the new educational system, that we know as “e-learning” by students within educational institutions. We have to replace face-to-face education with distance education in response to the COVID-19. This form of distance education, e-learning, differs from conventional education: being suddenly, unreadily and forcefully implemented.  This study examined and assessed the impact of e-learning to college students, during pandemic. An online survey was conducted amongst some college students in the Mechanical Engineering Dept, at Universitas Balikpapan using a purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The result of this study has confirmed the positive of direct effect variables (attitude, affect and motivation; perceived behavioral intention (ease of use technology, accessibility and cognitive engagement). This study suggests relevant parties to the education system, to improve the implementation of e-learning systems.

The advent of technology has influenced the way banks should conduct their business. People are becoming more conscious, more discerning and more critical with the way how businesses should provide efficient, fast, and convenient access to their products and services. And banks are not exempted from these expectations. There has been a steady surge of innovative technology that will help banks deliver more efficient services through digitization. This study was conducted to investigate the determinants of the behavioral intentions on the acceptability of the bank’s digital mortgage service from the perspective of 250 mortgage clients who are current or prospective users of digital mortgage service. The study was anchored from the Unified Theory of Acceptance Use of Technology (UTAUT). The research has found that the determinants of behavioral intention to accept digital mortgage device among mortgage clients were facilitating conditions, performance expectancy and effort expectancy. It was also revealed that based on the standardized beta coefficients, facilitating conditions (0.405), performance expectancy (0.383) and effort expectancy (0.134) had a significant influence on bank mortgage clients’ behavioral intentions to accept digital mortgage service. Additionally, it was also proven that the age, education, computer knowledge and internet knowledge of the mortgage clients moderate the impact of the three determinants: performance expectancy, effort expectancy and social influence on clients’ digital mortgage service acceptance. Lastly, it can be concluded that performance expectancy is directly related to internet time, frequency of product purchase using a mobile device and use of mobile banking.

Today, the transformation of banks requires, firstly, the establishment of digital banks, and secondly, the change in the activities of existing banking departments and the reduction of banking costs. In digital banks, banking services will be fully automated and self-management systems will be created for bank customers. In particular, today’s demand is that as a result of the development of the digital economy, banks are required to serve a large number of customers not by increasing the number of branches, but by developing remote banking services. In the process of transformation of banks in Uzbekistan, due to the increasing availability of remote banking services on the basis of mobile, Internet and other banking technologies, their level of security, risk minimization, ease of use, importance of use, public awareness of these services, usefulness of services, etc. the factors are econometrically analyzed based on the conceptual model created by the author. These affect the development of remote banking services (customer awareness of remote banking services (As), risk of using remote banking services (R), ease of use of remote banking services (Eu), understanding the usefulness of remote banking services (Uu), cost of remote banking services (Cs), security in the use of remote banking services (Ss)) were hypothesized. In order to assess the impact of these hypotheses, a survey of clients of the Tashkent branch of Joint-Stock Commercial Bank with foreign capital «HAMKORBANK» was conducted and the results of the survey were econometrically analyzed on the basis of a conceptual model created by the author. These hypotheses have also been studied by foreign economists and their conclusions are given. The results of this study are of practical importance for the development of remote banking services in the banking system of Uzbekistan.
