The main idea behind learning objects is that they are to exist as digital resources separated from the learning task in which they are used. This allows a learning object to be reused with different learning tasks. However, not all learning objects operate in similar ways, neither are all learning tasks the same, and this exposes the problem that current recommendations from literature fail to link learning objects and their reuse in varied learning tasks. In this chapter, we explore definitions of learning objects and learning tasks. We also suggest that appropriate matches would lead to more effective pedagogical applications that can be used as set of recommendations for designers of learning objects and teachers who plan learning tasks and select learning objects for student learning activities. In addition, we discuss applications of learning objects delivered by emerging technologies which may change how digital resources are accessed and used by students in and out of classrooms.

Accessibility in Objects Learning in EAD: an Analysis on a Course of Expertise AbstractThis work aims to analyze the learning objects offered in two course subjects of specialization in Special Education from the perspective of inclusive education from the perspective of accessibility. The learning objects are reusable digital resources and that help learning some concept. To achieve this purpose a literature search followed by a case study was undertaken. To collect data it was decided to establish categories of analysis, which provided an overview of resources. Data were analyzed qualitatively, step by step each game, and collected data organized in a spreadsheet previously prepared for this purpose. The results showed that although there is a university effort to offer accessibility across the virtual environment and available materials are still needed some adjustments to the learning object to become fully accessible to people with sensory disabilities. However, it is through such initiatives that are possible growth and improvement of accessible educational materials and thus contribute to the permanence of access for all in the distance. Keywords: Learning objects; Accessibility; Distance education.

The main goal of this article is to develop a Management System for Merging Learning Objects (msMLO), which offers an approach that retrieves learning objects (LOs) based on students’ learning styles and term-based queries, which produces a new outcome with a better score. The msMLO faces the task of retrieving LOs via two steps: The first step ranks LOs using a unified learning style model and creates better LOs by merging the top-ranked LOs. The second step maps LOs onto a hierarchy of concepts to avoid duplicated topics. An experiment was conducted to evaluate this approach in an applied computing course. A total of 84 students were randomly split into four groups. The experimental results demonstrated that the msMLO is a promising approach that provides useful LOs based on students’ learning styles and the merging process for reusing stored LOs. Furthermore, this approach improves overall student learning performance and reduces the number of LOs reviewed.

This research was motivated by lack of civics student learning outcomes. Low learningoutcomes are caused by: (a) students do not really follow civics and they talk to each othersawaktu teacher explains the lesson; (B) students are not active in learning; (C) if the teacherasking questions, very few students who answered; and (d) very few students were askedabout the learning that has not been understood, in addition to the learning activities in theclassroom dominated by teachers and children are much more powerful. This study aims toimprove learning outcomes civics through cooperative learning model NHT. This study is aclass action, which was conducted in 018 primary schools Ukui 1 Subdistrict Ukui. This studyfocused on students' learning outcomes data civics. Based on the results of the study revealedthat the civic education learning outcomes of students has increased. This is evidenced by:Improved student learning outcomes at the preliminary data the number of students who passare 15 students (50%), increasing in the first cycle increased to 26 students (87%) and incycle II further increased up to 27 students (90 %).

Abstractlearning process  good teaching  can create a situation that allows children to learn, so that is the starting point of the success of teaching. The low quality of education depends on the management of the teaching and learning process which can be interpreted as being less effective in the teaching and learning process, the causes: (1) Low learning activities, (2) Inadequate facilities and infrastructure. The case in Solok City Middle School, the low level of student learning activities allegedly influenced the low student learning outcomes. Based on observations on class VIII A which included the superior class had not yet achieved the desired completeness, the class with the least completeness was class VIII B which was 33.33% with KKM 65 criteria. Seeing this reality, teachers were required to motivate students and foster enthusiasm student learning. Therefore, to foster students' enthusiasm for learning, the author tries to apply student learning activities through discussion methods in small groups.
