Web Application Process-Oriented Design for External Users

There are several problems to face in the definition of the methodology of design object of this chapter. In regards to the internal users of the company that mainly use the information system through the company intranet, the principal problems to face is adjusting to a design of the business processes made up by the business experts to a design oriented to the specific demands of the IT experts without changing the underlying representation that is the BPMN™ (OMG, 2006) representation of the business processes.

From the considerations made in the previous chapters, it emerges that the design of the complex Web information system must consider in a separate way two most important aspects of Web application: on one hand, the definition of the business processes, and on the other hand, to identify an optimal way to define what information is remarkable and how to present this information to the final user.

As more times underlined within this book, when the application is turned to the inside, users of the company that do not need information of contour in comparison to those necessary for the carrying out the task of the process, the alone design of the process is enough to come up to the final application. It is necessary, however, to submit the initial design to a transformation that allows making it suitable to the requests of whom will have called then to implement the application. In this process of passage from a high-level design (what is that aim to define the business processes) up to the final implementation of the application, of course, both the business experts and the IT experts are involved, each of them needing different levels of detail. The business experts, understanding the problems present in the company, try to delineate its underlying processes in a clear and unambiguous way; to do, the use of the BPMN™ notation (OMG, 2006) is a great help. Among the receivers of the documents produced by the business analyst there are the IT experts that will have to realize the final application on the base of such documentation.

Abstract—The need for information system development in a company is a basic requirement that must be met by each company in order to run its business processes properly. This is the basic key in a company in order to provide maximum results to find as many profits or profits. Application development or requirements in the application also provide speed for employees to carry out their activities to work properly and optimally. The development of the era requires that companies must be productive and have innovations so that the business wheel of the company can run well. This is based on the development of technology that is so fast that it requires special expertise in its application. This research is expected to be able to help some problems that exist in a company. Where its application can make it easier for employees to carry out their respective duties and roles in order to maximize their potential. Faculty of Business and Management – Student Activity Information System (FBM-SAIS) was developed with an aim to manage the student activity application process effectively through the Internet. This study was conducted to determine the managerial implications of FBM-SAIS implementation to FBM, UiTM Selangor by focusing on the manpower and financial impact, as well as to determine the direct effect of SAIS Service Quality on SAIS student satisfaction. This study proposed SAIS ServiceQuality as a higher-order factor in order to determine a direct effect of SAIS Service Quality on student satisfaction towards SAIS implementation. Interviews were conducted to identify the managerial implications of student activity application process before and after SAIS implementation. Meanwhile, the quantitative data was gathered from 94 SAIS users who were FBM students through e-survey and was analyzed by using SmartPLS 3.0. The interview results showed that the implementation of SAIS did have an impact on the Faculty, such as increasing staff productivity and reducing costs. Moreover, the PLS-SEM analysis results showed that SAIS Service Quality positively influenced student satisfaction towards FBMSAIS implementation. This study provides an empirical validation of the SAIS Service Quality Model in the context of Higher Education.

The research goal is to identify and analyze the need of accounting information system related to the revenue cycle at PT XYZ. This paper designing the useful of accounting information systems to support the current business processes, especially on the revenue cycle process. The design method is an Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) which refers to the modeling and design requirements discipline. And the result achieved by analysis and design of accounting information systems can support current activities of the revenue cycle, especially for the documentation and store of transaction data, and generate reports in accordance with company requirements. Conclusions derived from the analysis and design is the implementation of a webbased application that can help PT XYZ to do the work in different places, such as marketing office, head office and especially at the exhibition. Рассматривается необходимость разработки специализированной геоинформационной системы для отрасли охотничьего хозяйства. Указаны основные принципы проектирования и разработки приложения. Определены необходимые требования к проектируемой ГИС и задачи, которые способна решать система. Проведено описание организационной структуры геоинформационной системы и функции, подлежащие визуализации. Составлено схемотехнические решение и визуализация графического интерфейса взаимодействия пользователя с системой. В соответствии со Стратегией развития охотничьего хозяйства РФ до 2030 года, требуется повышать программно-информационное обеспечение охотпользователей. Обоснованием разработки является отсутствие единой системы сбора, хранения и систематизации данных о состоянии охотхозяйств, численности популяций и проведении необходимых мероприятий. Разработка специальной ГИС способна обеспечить поддержку в системе принятия решений человеком в интересах управления территориями охотхозяйств. Разработка продуманного интерактивного интерфейса позволит вывести ГИС на наиболее качественный уровень взаимодействия. Общеизвестно, что пространственные данные являются основой информационного обеспечения геоинформационных систем, в том числе локальных ГИС. Для непрерывного обновления геоданных требуется своевременная актуализация информации на сервере, в которой данная система развернута. Поэтому в качестве технологической основы выбрано проектирование именно веб-приложения, работающего через предустановленный браузер пользователя. Реализация функций данной ГИС, продуманный человеко-машинный интерфейс, включенный в ее состав, позволит использовать данную систему не только охотпользователям, но и заинтересованным специалистам в смежных отраслях: лесное хозяйство, картография, геоинформатика, зоогегография, охотоведение. Разработанная система может использоваться в учебном процессе при подготовке студентов по различным направлениям в высших образовательных учреждениях. Discusses the necessity of developing a specialized geographic information system for hunting groung. Carried out a description of the organizational structure of geoinformation systems and functions to be rendering. Determined necessary requirements for the design of the GIS and the tasks which the system are able to solve. The organizational structure of the geographic information system and the functions to be visualized are described. Compiled technical scheme and visualization GUI. In accordance with the strategy of development of the hunting industry of the Russian Federation until 2030, it is required to increase the software and information support for hunting users. The basis for development is the lack of a unified system of collection, storage and systematization of data on the state of hunting, population and carry out the necessary measures. The development of a special GIS is able to provide support in the system of decision-making by a person in the interests of managing the territories of hunting farms. The development of a thoughtful interactive interface will bring the GIS to the most high-quality level of interaction. It is well known that the spatial data are the basis for information support of geographic information systems, including local GIS. For continuous updates of the geodata requires a timely update information on the server in which the system is deployed. Therefore, as the technological base of the selected design it is the web application running through a preset user's browser. The implementation of the functions of this GIS, intelligent man-machine interface, included in its composition, will allow you to use this system not only hunters, but also to interested professionals in related industries, forestry, cartography, geoinformatics, zoogeography, and hunting. The developed system can be used in educational process for training students in various areas in higher educational institutions.

The paper provides a definition of the economic mechanism for managing the communication business processes of industrial enterprises in the context of globalization as a set of a system of relations, authorities, forms and methods of organization and operation, which are regulated by legal and other norms of activity and provide effective interaction in internal and external environments. This allows to deepen the understanding of the essence in the context of globalization under the orientation towards communication (we mean interaction first of all). The composition of the comprehensive economic mechanism for managing the communication business processes of industrial enterprises is studied. This mechanism includes organizational, economic, legal, political, technical and technological, market, production, social, motivational, adaptive and communication submechanisms. This allows further formalization of the process of elemental improvement of the communication business processes of industrial enterprises. The components of mechanism are detailed. In particular, the economic submechanisms include the mechanisms of profits distribution, economic stimulus, financial, equity, investment and reinvestment in development and other mechanisms. The legal submechanisms include the mechanisms, which govern communication and professional legal relations. Organizational submechanisms include structural mechanisms, administrative and information mechanisms that ensure the development and modernization of communication activities at the enterprise, its information security. Political submechanisms include mechanisms of information policy, social and economic policy and foreign economic policy. Market submechanisms include the ones of market competition, demand and supply, etc. Social submechanisms include the ones of transparency of doing business, social responsibility, social and psychological impact, etc. Production submechanisms include the following ones: resource, implementation of new types of software and hardware and other. Technical and technological submechanisms include the ones of scientific and technological progress, technological updates. Motivational submechanisms include the mechanisms of material and non-material incentives of personnel. Adaptive submechanisms are the submechanisms of innovative development (including implementation of innovations in information field), managing the personnel potential, etc. Communication submechanisms include the ones of information-and-analytical activities (including research conducting); external communications (including the system of integrated communications tools, modern telecommunications and communications facilities); internal communications (including creating corporate culture). AbstractThe use of LED lights in smart street lighting to save energy is efficient and very common in many developed cities. However, such a system results in higher initial costs, which may discourage smaller towns and villages from its purchasing. This paper therefore deals with the design and development of a smart street lighting control system for smaller cities and villages. Such a system is required to be economical from the perspective of development and production. Considering other requirements such as platform independence, high availability and broad support, we proposed to build a system as a web application using a custom light control service component. The result is a web application that consists of a user interface served by a web server and an application server used to communicate with light control service. In addition, the system is designed as a geographical information system to be easy to use for managing street lights in groups or individually, while displaying them on the map. The system allows automatic sensor-based light intensity modulation by default with the possibility of manual adjustment or override of the illumination. It also includes a device error notification system with a tool to navigate faulty devices. The presented system is a low-cost solution for intelligent street lighting control designed for smaller cities or villages. They can apply the designed architecture of the system and the specific technologies suitable because of their low-cost implementation.
