Middle and High School Implementations of Moodle-Facilitated Blended Instructional Designs

Web-based technologies such as Moodle (modular object-oriented dynamic learning environment) are regularly used in classrooms and present an effective way to reinforce blended learning of different curricula. Nontraditional learning methodologies such as the i2Flex model provide teachers with a range of options with regards to how to employ a constructivism-based instructional design and facilitate their shift from traditional instructors to effective learning facilitators. Consequently, students become inquirers and discover knowledge in a positive environment where flexibility and blendedness of learning styles optimize the learning outcome. The chapter discusses implementations of Moodle features and the support types with regards to the authors engagement in i2Flex methodology in order to update their practices in relation to enhancing the Community of Inquiry (CoI) Framework presences in Middle School and Academy Classes of Science, Physics, and Modern Language Arts.

Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan multimedia pembelajaran berbasis web untuk mata pelajaran  Akuntansi SMA, dan mengetahui hasil belajar dan motivasi belajar dengan menggunakan multimedia pembelajaran berbasis web yang dikembangkan. Model pengembangan multimedia web menggunakan Alessi and Trollip melalui tiga tahapan, yakni perencanaan, desain, dan pengembangan. Uji coba evaluasi produk terdiri atas: evaluasi formatif meliputi uji alpha, yakni validasi produk oleh dua ahli materi dan dua ahli media, dan uji beta kesan siswa. Serta evaluasi sumatif meliputi uji coba hasil belajar dan motivasi belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) produk yang dihasilkan berupa website studioakuntansi.com layak digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran berdasarkan hasil penilaian ahli materi, ahli media dan uji beta dengan skor 4,23 (kategori sangat baik); (2) peningkatan skor rata-rata pada pretest dan posttest hasil belajar seluruh siswa sebesar 0,43 (kategori sedang), peningkatan skor rata-rata pada pretest dan posttest motivasi belajar seluruh siswa sebesar 0,38 (kategori sedang). Terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar dan motivasi belajar siswa setelah menggunakan multimedia pembelajaran  Akuntansi berbasis web.Kata kunci: pengembangan multimedia, pembelajaran berbasis web, multimedia web, pembelajaran  Akuntansi WEB BASED TEACHING MULTIMEDIA IN ACCOUNTING SUBJECT OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL FOR INCREASING MOTIVATION AND LEARNING OUTCOMESAbstractThe aims of this research are: (1) to produce web based teaching multimedia for accounting subject of senior high school (2) to find out the learning outcome and motivation by using web based teaching multimedia. The development of web based multimedia used Alessi and Trollip model consisting of three main phases: planning, design, developing. The product testing was held on: formative evaluation consisted of alpha testing involving validation by two subject material experts and two media experts, and beta testing of learners’ reaction, and sumative evaluation consisted of students’ learning outcome and motivation testing. The results of the research showed that: (1) the developed product was studioakuntansi.com website consisting of web based teaching multimedia in the accounting subject feasible to be used in classroom teaching and learning processes, based on the assessment by the subject material experts, media experts and also from the beta testing with the score of 4.23 (very good category), (2) the average gain score on the pretest and posttest of all students’ outcome was 0.43 (middle category), and the average gain score on the pretest and posttest of all students’ motivation was 0.38 (middle category). Being able to detect and address individual learners’ learning preferences can be a basis for effective learning and teaching. Many researches are contributing to define the potential differences of individual preferences in learning. In this paper, we present an interactive Web-based instrument to initiate students’ learning style. The instrument uses learner’s interaction with learning objects as hint and representing them as the students’ learning style. By applying the instrument, we have been able to detect initial learning styles accurately. Evaluation of our experimental results showed high precision. Besides, very high satisfactory feedbacks were received from students. Based on the mentioned benefits and study results, our method has potential influence on defining individual’s preference in learning

In accordance with the technological advances of web-based information delivery via the internet has more value, because the information can be delivered easily, quickly,  spacious and interactive. Because this way, information is simply inserted into the web and within seconds the information can be accessed globally.  Submission of this information has not been used in Ngebruk Islamic Junior High School, Sumberpucung District, Malang Regency. Submission of the information in these schools still use manual way, such as by mail, bulletin boards, or orally. Surely this way less effective and efficient, since it requires a lot of expenses such as the purchase of paper, printing machine and maintenance, ink, and its scope was limited to the scope of the school.To reduce the above problems, the delivery of information in this school need to use web media created with the PHP programming language and MySQL. PHP is a programming language that is used to allow users to process information on the web, while MySQL is the software used to store the information on the web. Once the web is run online, the school entered information to the web, can be accessed via intenet by anyone without the limited space and time

This research is carried out to examine the developed circular motion physics module in a cooperative learning setting for students of Grade X Science Senior High School in Banjarmasin. This study's general objectives are to produce a circular motion physics module integrated with gumbaan local wisdom in cooperative learning settings and describe its feasibility. Moreover, this study's specific objectives aimed to describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the module. This study utilizes the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) development design model. The instruments used consisted of module validation sheets, students’ questionnaire responses, and learning outcome test. The results of the study indicated that: (1) the validity of the module, based on the content and display, obtained a score of 3.20, which fell in the "good" category, (2) the practicality of the module, based on students' questionnaire responses, obtained a percentage of 64.92% which is categorized as “good”, and (3) the effectiveness of the module, based on students' test scores, obtained a score of 0.44 which belonged in the "moderate" category. It is then concluded that the circular motion physics module, which integrated gumbaan local wisdom contents in cooperative learning settings, is proven feasible for learning and teaching and can be used as an alternative reference in improving the quality of learning, especially to improve the learning outcomes of learners. This module can be used as a reference that teachers can use in learning at senior high school.

ABSTRAK Masih kurang  minatnya siswa dalam belajar khususnya pelajaran matematika,  salah satu sebab adalah  metode yang digunakan oleh guru masih konvensional dan siswa bekerja secara individu, sehingga siswa yang kurang mampu kesulitan dalam memahami konsep dengan benar.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar bilangan berpangkat dengan  model problem posing pada siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 4 Batu.Penelitian ini menggunakan desain  Penelitian Tindakan Kelas  (Classroom Action Research),  pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan  kualitatif yaitu penelitian yang datanya tanpa menggunakan teknik statistik. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi.Berdasarkan data yang diperolah dari pelaksanaan tindakan mulai siklus 1 sampai dengan siklus 2 dan berdasarkan hasil observasi tiap-tiap siklus terjadi peningkatan prestasi yaitu siswa yang mendapat nilai kurang dari KKM dari 17 siswa menjadi 7 siswa, mengalami peningkatan siswa yang mendapat nilai memenuhi KKM dari 18 menjadi 27 siswa, dan rata-rata tes siswa dari  62,29 menjadi 71,76 mengalami kenaikan 2,47%, serta prosentase ketuntasa juga mengalami peningkatan dari 48,6% menjadi 79,4% meningkat 30,8%.Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan pendekatan model problem posing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa khususnya pada materi bilangan berpangkat. Kata Kunci: Peningkatan hasil belajar, Bilangan berpangkat, Problem Posing ABSTRACT The lack of student’s study interest especially on mathematics, one of the reason is the method is still conventional and students work individually, with the result that students harder to understanding the concept correctly. The purpose of this research is improving learning outcome on exponential numbers with problem posing model in 3rd years students on State Junior High School Batu. This research using Classroom Action Research design and qualitative approach, which is the research that not using statistics technique. This Classroom Action Research executed in two cycle. Every cycle consist of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Based on data that obtained from the 1st cycle until 2nd cycle and based on observation from every cycle there is an achievement increase that is students that having under the minimum learning mastery standard from the initial is 17 students increase to 7 students, then there is increase the numbers of students that having on the minimum learning mastery standard from 18 to 27 students, and the average of students’ test from 62,29 to 71,76 (increasing 2,47%), so the percentage of learning mastery increased from 48,6% to 79,4% increase for about 30,8%. This shows that Problem Posing approach can increasing student’s study result especially on exponential numbers subject. Keyword: Increase of study result, Exponential numbers, Problem Posing
