The current research on the information systems (IS) shows that emotion and cognition can affect behavior, but their interaction with each other is not clear. This paper attempts to clarify the interaction between emotion and cognition and explain their antecedents and consequences. This research includes a meta-analysis composed of 33 papers related to emotion and cognition in high-quality IS journals. Results reveal cognition affects emotion when emotion can be changed or manipulated by an external stimulus, and emotion can be attributed to a combination of multiple cognitive appraisals. By contrast, emotion affects cognition when it involves the use of information technology and focuses on intuitive interface design features and stable personality traits. The authors contribute to the literature with a more comprehensive summary of antecedents and consequences of emotion and cognition and provide practical implications for enterprises to understand consumer behavior from the perspective of the interaction between emotion and cognition.

The development of the field of information technology is very rapid, therefore many companies, industries, shops and other business entities are using information systems to increase their business. Online sales information systems are used to carry out business processes such as distribution, sales, purchasing, marketing of goods or services by using communication networks and the internet. Online sales information systems can help people who do not have a place or shop to carry out their business. Students in this case, especially at the Catholic University of Santo Thomas, are an opportunity to take advantage of this facility in carrying out their business, especially if they do not have a place or shop to carry out their business. For this reason, an online sales information system was built that can be accessed through the website.

Information technology is the result of a human mind to develop ordinances or specific systems and use them to solve problems in life. Submission of information today is no longer through the print media, but will gradually shift to the use of digital electronic media. The announcement can be interpreted as a message delivered to every person who is the target destination or destination information. This study discusses the announcement of information systems that can replace conventional media announcements still. With this information system of this announcement makes any lecturer and secretariat in one program studi in College X no longer need to print and posting notices on board the information available, but may be digital by entering the announcement into the system to afterwards the announcement will be displayed on each screen television or monitor the spread and available in every area of ??the campus. This can make the process of delivering information to become more effective and efisien if compared to the print media.

The development and progress of IT-based information technology is very rapidly developing and has a very important role. Information systems are a necessity for agencies to utilize information as a basis for data administration and processing. To meet these needs, the agency conducts activities related to computer-based information systems as a tool to increase employee creativity. This system is designed to handle the transaction of escort and payment salary calculations and can guarantee validiity, complete authorization, classification of assessments, timeliness of each payroll transaction. In the Middle School Nusantara Wisata Respati Middle School still uses a manual payroll system, which is Microsoft Excel, so that people who are not authorized to enter and view data and can change the impact will disrupt the activity in processing salary data. For this reason, it is necessary to design a Java-based payroll information system at the Respati Archipelago Tourism Middle School.

The need for information systems is a very important requirement for running business processes. As the development of technology is very necessary when an information technology really supports the information systems required form. Kano method can be used to determine the need for patient information systems. With the process of the Kano method used is based on the need for information systems. because the method aims to mengatagorikan canoe will need attribute information systems. ignorance of the service attributes can cause a negative for the company services. It therefore requires an information system that can meet the needs of patient information so users of patient information is needed to support the company's performance

Information technology can make anything easier and more efficient. For example, companies that exist today use information systems on their electronic devices to streamline their products and work. In this study, the event organizer information system in the entertainment vehicle is tasked with processing data such as inputting customer data, staff data, equipment data, package data, order data, data search and required reports. The purpose of this study was to design an event organizer information system at Wahana Entertainment. The research method used is qualitative research and grounded research approach. The results of this study are in the form of an information system that can help Wahana Entertainment implement a better system, make work easier, and improve the smoothness of the event organizer management process.

This chapter presents a case study of Isobord1, a Canadian manufacturer of high quality particleboard that uses straw instead of wood as the main raw material input. Isobord is facing critical operational problems that threaten its future. Gary Schmeichel, a biotechnology consultant hired by Isobord, must recommend how much straw collection equipment to purchase and what kind of information technology to acquire to help manage equipment dispatch operations. Schmeichel is exploring how geographic information systems (GIS) and relational database management systems (RDBMS) might help manage operations, but budget and time constraints and organizational inexperience seriously threaten these efforts. Decisions must be made immediately if there is to be any hope of implementing a system to manage the first year’s straw harvest. Readers are challenged to put themselves in Schmeichel’s shoes and prepare recommendations for Isobord.

As an ERP package could be viewed as an integration indicator, it could thus measure the information system integration rate (ISIR). Therefore, the integration rate (IR) of an information system (IS), which is composed of only one ERP package, should be higher than the IR of another IS, which is composed of an ERP that is well (or not well) integrated with other subsystems. Some “information technology strategies adopted by ERP vendors and/or by firms could affect, and/or they could be influenced by, the level of ERP interoperability. Whether or not a reliable interoperability is possible to be developed and/or proposed by ERP vendors; firms could interoperate, within the framework of their IS, an ERP package with other subsystems, or they could implement this package as the only component of their IS. When strategies change, the level of ERP interoperability could be modified from reliable to unreliable and the ISIR could be affected. This paper tries to understand how these changes could impact the level of ERP interoperability in a manner that could provoke the IS disintegration.

Thanks to the rapid development in the field of information technology, healthcare providers rely more and more on information systems to deliver professional and administrative services. There are high demands for those information systems that provide timely and accurate patient medical information. High-quality healthcare services depend on the ability of the healthcare provider to readily access the information such as a patient’s test results and treatment notes. Failure to access this information may delay diagnosis, resulting in improper treatment and rising costs (Rind et al., 1997).
