The purpose of this research is to develop the cleaning robot for cleaning the glass curtain wall. The main mechanical structure, adsorption system, cleaning system and control system has been researched. With the adsorption and separation of four sucker group by turns, robot can move on the vertical curtain successfully. Four suckers of the each sucker group are arranged in circumference, so the robot can be adsorbed reliability. According to the working process analysis of the robot, PLC control system is designed. Robot general scheme designed in this paper can achieve heavy-duty work, neat movement, reliable attaching and other requests.

This paper describes a method that reform the backward control system of annealing tin machine with the PLC control technology, and designs of hardware and software of the machine so that the machine have a good man-machine automatic control system. The paper focuses on the development of automatic program based on PLC, home return program, alarm program and protection program. The result shows that this control system is reliable, stable and high precision when it is used to the machine, and improving the competitiveness of the machine in the industry greatly.

Research is described which is leading to the specification and development of a motion simulation and design environment for modular robotic systems which enables the implementation of widely applicable software processes for machine control. Current investigation is focused on defining models of application tasks in modular robotic systems. This work is based on the Real-time Control System (RCS) reference architecture proposed by researchers at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) which was designed to support motion planning and implementation. However, this architecture is modified in such a way that it supports the concept of multitasking and inter-process communication. The emphasis of work is on the hierarchical structuring of solutions, this to enable the design and control of distributed motion elements. Also discussed in this paper is a strategy for achieving sensor-based modularization of modular robotic systems in a manner which facilitates fast and efficient response to changes in the functional or environmental requirements. The paper explains how an application software architecture is unified with the open systems design approach known as Universal Machine Control (UMC), which has been devised and developed at Loughborough University to enable reuse to software and control system components.

Based on computer and PLC control technology, the control system for electron beam welder has been studied in this paper. By using PLC control technology to implement the intelligent control (IC) in welding process and adopting the high-frequency inverter technology, to realize the high-voltage interlock protection, the quality of electron beam current spot as well as the welding technology has been improved. Concerning the requirements on the technical and process, the design of computer communication and PLC application software demonstrate the feasibility of this method.

In order to provide a solution of active rectification for linear pumps in pump control system, a novel collaborative rectification structure is conceptually designed in this paper. The fundamental subsystem is the direct drive pump cell (DDPC). A DDPC consists of a cylinder and a valve, and the piston rod and the valve spool are integrated together. The DDPC could be driven by a linear oscillating motor directly. The DDPC working process is logically modeled as a state machine. Certain theorems are given and proved to illustrate the composition principles of a pump system with collaborative rectification. The kinematic flow rate of the collaborative rectification pump is studied. According to the comparison to the existing linear pumps, the novel pump has more structure compactness and control flexibility.

Vibration is a mechanical phenomenon whereby oscillations occur about an equilibrium point.Vibration platform uses machine, control system and information technologies to optimize human performance. In order to explore the mechanical effect of vibration based on machines and control systems on human performance, twenty participants were voluntarily involved in this trial. The findings of this study indicated that automation vibration has significant difference on human performance. It has a positive effect on human body. Therefore, vibration can be used in auto regulation.

Based on the flammability requirements of toy and textile product in Entry-Exit Inspection, design and development the automation tester of flammability combined with PLC control technology, high-performance and fine-segmentation driver as well as step-in motor. It demonstrated the tester machinery design, work principle, control system and programming of software. It is pointed out the tester can settle for testing requirement of International standard toy safety, and also settle for testing requirement of International standard textile safety.
