Quality management in the library is related to quality control of the library's work to meet user expectations and contributes to the continued success of the organization. However, quality control is lacking and not be the main focus in many libraries. This paper aims to explain how quality management improves work results in libraries. The research method used in this paper is qualitative research using a case study method. We conduct research in Library X that already underwent quality control in book processing activities. The data were collected through observation, and interviews for book processing activities and its quality control data during 2018-2020. The data was then analyzed document analysis. The study found that Library X could perform better by improving the quality of book processing and fixing the error just before they put the book on its shelves. Quality control gives a comprehensive evaluation in Library X either for humans, processes, and systems of book processing activities that help Library X conduct its duty to provide their user needs and expectations. Quality control and quality management also help Library X describe the library working atmosphere and can be used for giving motivation to all librarians and staff to give better service and performance for the end-users.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to suggest better methods for monitoring the diagnostic and treatment services for providers of public health and the management of public health services. In particular, the authors examine the construction and use of industrial quality control methods as applied to the public providers, in both the prevention and cure for infectious diseases and the quality of public health care providers in such applications including water quality standards, sewage many others. The authors suggest implementing modern multivariate applications of quality control techniques and/or better methods for univariate quality control common in industrial applications in the public health sector to both control and continuously improve public health services. These methods entitled total quality management (TQM) form the foundation to improve these public services. Design/methodology/approach – The study is designed to indicate the great need for TQM analysis to utilize methods of statistical quality control. All this is done to improve public health services through implementation of quality control and improvement methods as part of the TQM program. Examples of its use indicate that multivariate methods may be the best but other methods are suggested as well. Findings – Multivariate methods provide the best solutions when quality and reliability tests show indications that the variables observed are inter-correlated and correlated over time. Simpler methods are available when the above factors are not present. Research limitations/implications – Multivariate methods will provide for better interpretation of results, better decisions and smaller risks of both Type I and Type II errors. Smaller risks lead to better decision making and may reduce costs. Practical implications – Analysts will improve such things as the control of water quality and all aspects of public health when data are collected through experimentation and/or periodic quality management techniques. Social implications – Public health will be better monitored and the quality of life will improve for all especially in places where public development is undertaking rapid changes. Originality/value – The manuscript is original because it uses well known and scientific methods of analyzing data in area where data collection is utilized to improve public health.

Introduction. The quality of tourist services has attracted increasing attention in the context of the European integration vector of the economy of our country. Therefore, the formation of general principles and areas of quality management for the competitiveness of the hospitality industry. Tourism companies are faced with the need to increase competitiveness in the domestic and international markets, the effectiveness of management decisions and business performance, the problems of adaptation to the characteristics of emerging markets and the need to realize market opportunities, all of which characterize the inefficient management of the tourism business. Methods. The research is formed on the basis of systematic and holistic approaches, structural modelling and monographic study of the issue of improving the quality of tourist services. Results. The basic directions of improving the management of quality of services of tourist activity are formed. The state standards in the sphere of tourism in accordance with the international quality standards are completed and harmonized. An educational and professional course “Implementation of national standards of tourist services harmonized with international and European normative documents” has been proposed, which intensifies interest in the integration of Ukraine into the EU general economic space. It will help university graduates in the further professional activity of specialists in tourism services and hotel and restaurant business. Discussion. The expected impact of the vocational training course will be based on the presentation of the best European tourism strategies and practices; expanding and deepening knowledge of the European Directives and ISO standards for tourism; approbation of the European experience in tourist services; promotion of the European model of quality of tourist services. Keywords: European standards, tourist service, quality, tourism, tourist service.

The article is devoted to the analysis of defects in residential buildings identified during the warranty period. The purpose of the study is to reduce the costs of construction organizations during the warranty period of maintenance of residential buildings and improve the quality of construction. A residential complex consisting of twenty low-rise buildings was selected to study the operation of residential buildings and estimate costs. Key defects were identified and analysed. In the course of the research, a scheme of operational quality control has been developed, with the help of which it is possible to increase the level of quality management of construction and installation works, reduce the costs for construction organizations during the warranty period of service and, as a result, increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Defining, measuring, and achieving quality of e-learning systems are not an easy task. Accordingly, one of the most essential goals for the higher educational institutes is how to reach a high and satisfied level of quality in their learning systems. Achieving such level needs adequate and continuous improvements for the whole e-learning environment elements. Therefore, we aim in our work to construct a unified framework for total quality management system (TQMS) that attempt to satisfy the quality requirements, needs, and standards. The objective of this paper is to present a quality control model for e-learning system that adopts the e-learning platform according to the on-line determination of both user's requirements and global standards. This paper proposed software architecture of quality Management framework for e-learning that could be adopted by different higher education institutes to control the quality of the e-learning process, and assure the quality of the e-learning process outcome. The proposed framework is based on a tri-dimensions quality model. The three dimensions are set of quality requirements for e-learning environment represented in Quality Assurance (QA) policies that will be formalized by using policy based approach, the specifications of e-learning platform that provide learning and teaching activities, and quality control process loop. The architecture for monitor and ensure quality control of the QA policies for e-learning system will deliver the whole learning services in an optimal way. It is also flexible and can be implemented over any e-learning system.

The automatic assembly system of saw chain is designed to solve the low efficiency and poor quality of its assembly process according to the actual requirements of production. Firstly, the structure of saw chain and its automatic assembly requirements are analysed. Secondly, the different design plans on assembly process and assembly method are proposed and compared. Finally, the automatic assembly system of saw chain is designed, which is composed of feeding device and clamp positioning system. This system can not only realize the automatic assembly of saw chain, but also improve the assembly quality and prolong the using life of saw chain.

The paper considers a new version of IRIS ISO/TS 22163:2017 standard in relation to the quality of repair of complex equipment in the railway industry. It is shown that the new version of ISO/ TS 22163:2017 standard provides for the need of organizations to conduct risk analysis and accounting in their work. The authors propose to consider as an example a well-established analysis of the types and consequences of potential defects in FMEA process. The use of FMEA analysis made it possible to consider the significance of various risks of the quality of traction rolling stock repair, as well as to establish the importance of quality control operations for impregnation of a traction motor.
