Customer collaborative product innovation is the major style of the innovation activities of enterprises, which not only needs supporting by the hardware and software environment, but the participations of both customers and staffs of enterprises. This paper analyzes the participators in customer collaborative product innovation system form the viewpoints of customers and enterprises respectively. Based on Cooperative game theory, the cost sharing model for customer collaborative product innovation is established. Practical application study is provided for the model use, which analyzes the costs sharing of each participator quantitatively so as to guarantee a long-lasting and stable development for customer collaborative product innovation system.

The observed positive dynamics of innovation development of economy is largely related to the financial component of the promotion of innovation. However modern information tools increase of innovative activity of business structures require practical application.

Abstract How to enhance the maintenance, repair and improvement of condo buildings? We address this issue by focusing on the case of an elevator installation whose benefits are not uniform across units. We examine the link between majority approval and cost sharing. Relying on a cooperative game theory approach, we prove the coalitional stability of any cost allocation which is such that the unit shares are a non-decreasing function of the floor level. Second, we show that the two surplus allocations induced, respectively, by the de facto cost-sharing rule used in France and the equal cost-sharing rule may fail to be coalitionally stable. By insisting that the cost sharing must depend on the relative individual advantages provided by an improvement, French law increases the risk of disputes between neighbors, compared to other sharing rules.

Green innovation, implemented by enterprises, contributes to sustainable development and environmental protection. However, because of the high cost and high risk of green innovation, enterprises are reluctant to step into green innovation activities in practice. Government subsidies are conducive to promoting green innovation in enterprises. To investigate firms’ preferences for green innovation, we consider a three-player game in a supply chain where a government offers subsidies (price, innovation, or both subsidies) to a manufacturer and a retailer, while the latter two players cooperate with each other through contracts (revenue-sharing and cost-sharing contracts). By exploring the impacts of government subsidies and cooperative contracts on the optimal level of green innovation efforts and profits of participants, we find that: (1) for green innovation that leads to increased production costs, the government should subsidize both the retailer and the manufacturer to improve the level of green innovation; (2) the revenue-sharing contract is more effective than the cost-sharing contract under the premise of government subsidies; and (3) the revenue-sharing ratio decreases in production and innovation costs, while the cost-sharing ratio increases in these two costs.

Underground power grid projects in Hanoi is so urgent that it requires immediate implementation. To synchronously and quickly implement the underground power grid projects, people in charge should not follow the outdated perspectives of just including the power industry, but also need to call for the support and cost sharing responsibility from consumers. This paper aims at approaching the subject both from the producers and consumers’ perspectives to together sharing the cost of putting the power grid underground not only in Hanoi but other metropolitans in Vietnam as well. Field studies (including 104 families) at Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi and CBA method were applied to investigate the willingness to pay (WTP) level of consumers to share the cost with the power industry for the underground power grid projects in Hanoi. The overview of the results shows that cost for the underground power grid in Hoan Kiem District ranging from 30,000 VND/household/month to 46,000VND/household/month. On the other hand, the willingness to pay of a typical household of four people within Hoan Kiem District ranges from 17,000VND/month to 24,000VND/month, with the most favorable method of annual payment within a detailed timeline.

AbstractTape placement manufacturing process, as one of the automated forming technologies for composite material, not only substantially improves the productivity of composite component and reduces the cost of production significantly but also raises the reliability and stability of composite structure. Automated tape placement technology is mainly applied for manufacturing the fuselage and wing panel of airplane characterized by small curvature and large size. For these kinds of structural components with a non-developable surface, trajectory planning by “natural path” method could reduce the internal stress and improve the quality of composite products to a certain extent but not be optimized by quantitative characterization. On the basis of preliminary work, the theoretical model of “unnatural degree” (UD) is introduced in the first step, which could characterize the tensile and shear strain of the laying tape quantitatively. Secondly, by adjusting the iterative step and laying direction to diminish the UD, local stress could be softened in order to optimize the laying track. Ultimately, the simulation model of the non-developable surface is established under the Matlab software environment, and the “variable step-angle” algorithm is adopted to verify the adjustment effect of the tape-laying track.

The front-end phase is in the literature generally regarded as the most critical phase of the innovation process. Front-end management has a strategic nature since important decisions related e.g. to target markets and the main functionalities of products are done in the front-end phase. This article examines how the integration of strategic and operative level front-end activities is perceived by top managers in the product innovation context. The findings indicate that companies exploit different strategy-making processes, and that each strategy-making mode is prone to particular integration challenges. The results show that the effectiveness of integration of strategic and operative level front-end activities is dependent on the level of concreteness of the defined business strategies, the amount of business-minded decision making, and the balance between control and creativity.
