ABSTRACT Aesthetics refers to the branch of knowledge that debates the subject of beauty in literary works. The aesthetic element plays an important role in the production of a creative work, which serves as a language medium in delivering clear messages to the reader. This study is based on the study of literary scholars who claim that science fiction novels from the Science and Technology Fiction Contest do not present the language’s beauty element to readers. To this end, the researcher used the five novels of Science and Technology Fiction Contest winners namely Bekamorfosis (2012) by Jali Kenoi, Petaka Bakteria (2012) by Mohd Kasim Mahmud, Puranakila (2015) by Saadiah Ibrahim, Ajal (2015) by Ruhaini Matdarin and Yang Diselindung Samudera (2017) by Nor Azida Ishak, Ted Mahsun and Fadli Al-Akiti. The study also has two objectives of the study which is to classify and analyze the aesthetics of language which is the use of language style found in the research novels. Therefore, this study uses the method of literature review, analysis and application of the theory of poetic text Malay literature founded by Muhammad Haji Salleh in support of the submissions from researchers. As a result of the study of science fiction novels, researchers have identified two types of language styles that the author promotes: comparative language style and repetition language style. The style of these languages can also be associated with the aesthetic concept in the theory of poetic beauty of Malay literature in educating or teaching, discovery of beauty in distress and sadness and beauty in the sense as described by Muhammad Haji Salleh.

Purpose – Sustainability is in vogue nowadays. It is a new concept and it has yet to be studied in more depth and rigor to create a stronger understanding. There are several lines of research and development in this area, each one using a specific template for measuring sustainability what poses even greater difficulties to those interested in the subject. The purpose of this paper is to discuss and compare current models for measuring organizational sustainability. Design/methodology/approach – The paper presents a literature review identifying six models that have synergies in their structures and methods for measuring sustainability. It also analyzes each model highlighting key individual features identifying similarities and differences. Findings – Results indicates it is necessary to improve existing models and gathering positive features of each model may be the starting point for obtaining a measurement model of sustainability. Research limitations/implications – This work is restricted to perform a critical analysis of models for measuring intra-organizational sustainability. Originality/value – This is one of the first studies to investigate models that assess sustainability from the intra-organizational perspective.

Because graphic novels and film both contain a strong visual element, they continue to have an effect on each other’s development. Aspects from comics have been succesfully remediated into film, and vice-versa. There are, however, clear distinctions between the two mediums. This paper explores the adaptations of comics to film, noting how some film adaptations merely adapt the narrative, while others apply some of the aesthetic qualaties and visual communication tropes of the graphic novel into the film. Examples like “Dick Tracey”, “300”, and even more so, “Scott Pilgrim versus the World” show how remediation of comics in film can work. The more recent “Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse”, is probably the film which remediates comics better than any other film, including brief moments where juxtaposed panels showing sequential actions are used. This being, according to many comic scholars, the main defining feature of the comic medium. It is the trope which I will be exploring in more detail in further studies, attempting to remediate it into film in a way which reflects its use in comics more accurately. This paper serves as a literature review, which provides detailed understanding of the comic and film visual languages, the differences and similarities between them, and will be the basis upon which further research is built.

Background: Research shows that there is a high prevalence of suicide among nurses. Despite this, it has been 15 years since the last literature review on the subject was published. Aim: The aim of this article is to review the knowledge currently available on the risk of suicide among nurses and on contributory risk factors. Method: A search was conducted in electronic databases using keywords related to prevalence and risk factors of suicide among nurses. The abstracts were analyzed by reviewers according to selection criteria. Selected articles were submitted to a full-text review and their key elements were summarized. Results: Only nine articles were eligible for inclusion in this review. The results of this literature review highlight both the troubling high prevalence of suicide among nurses as well as the persistent lack of studies that examine this issue. Conclusion: Considering that the effects of several factors related to nurses' work and work settings are associated with high stress, distress, or psychiatric problems, we highlight the relevance of investigating work-related factors associated with nurses' risk of suicide. Several avenues for future studies are discussed as well as possible research methods.

The authors, basing on a critical analysis of the experience of planning during the 20th century in a number of countries of Europe and Asia, and also on the lessons from the economics of "real socialism", set out to substantiate their conclusions on the advisability of "reloading" this institution. The aim is to create planning mechanisms, suited to the new economy, that incorporate forecasting, projections, direct and indirect selective regulation and so forth into integral programs of economic development and that set a vector of development for particular limited spheres of what remains on the whole a market economy. New planning institutions presuppose a supersession of the forms of bureaucratic centralism and a reliance on network forms of organization of the subject and process of planning.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This study aims to determine the parent's interpersonal communication process to autistic children in the city of Bandung. To answer the purpose of the study, the researcher established a sub focus on verbal communication, nonverbal communication, and inhibiting factors. This study uses qualitative methods with descriptive studies where the informants involved in this study amounted to five people consisting of four key informants as parents and one informant supporting child psychologists as supporting informants. The results of this study indicate that the process of interpersonal communication carried out between parents and children with autism is not like communicating with normal children and is difficult to communicate so that it can be understood by children with autism. Verbal communication done with autism must be clear, firm, concise and also by using the image method, as well as the words of the commands given for the independence of autistic children. Nonverbal communication is carried out with movements when parents give a prohibition to children by using the movement of the index finger that is raised and then shaken, they will immediately stop doing that and understand that it is prohibited. Inhibiting factors in communicating with children with autism are difficulty in making eye contact, lack of response given, speech difficulties experienced by autistic children, and disturbances in the sensory field.

Objective: Focal cartilage injuries, and posttraumatic osteoarthritis (OA) in the wrist are likely common and a cause of wrist pain. To estimate the incidence of cartilage lesions and to understand the pathomechanisms leading to wrist cartilage injuries and OA, a literature review on the subject was performed combined with a presentation of one of the authors’ own experience. Design: This study includes a literature review of the topic. As a comparison to the review findings, the observations of one of the authors’ consecutive 48 wrist arthroscopies, were assessed. PubMed, Scholar, and Cochrane databases were searched using the keywords “cartilage injury AND wrist AND treatment” and “wrist AND cartilage AND chondral AND osteochondral AND degenerative OA.” :Result A total of 11 articles, including 9 concerning chondral and osteochondral repair and treatment and 2 regarding posttraumatic OA, were retrieved. The cartilage repair treatments used in these articles were drilling, osteochondral autograft, juvenile articular cartilage allograft, and chondrocyte implantation. One article displayed concomitant cartilage injuries in displaced distal radius fractures in 32% of the patients. The review of our findings from a 1-year cohort of wrist arthroscopies showed 17% cartilage injuries. Conclusion: There is a lack of knowledge in current literature on cartilage injuries and treatment, as well as posttraumatic OA in the wrist. Cartilage injuries appear to be common, being found in 17% to 32% of all wrist arthroscopies after trauma, but no guidelines regarding conservative or surgical treatment can be recommended at the moment. Larger prospective comparative studies are needed.
