Al-Qur'an is the holy book of Muslims that was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad and is one of his greatest miracles. Reading the Qur'an in Tartile is the way of reading that the Prophet taught to his companions as he was taught by Jibril. In order to read the Qur'an properly, one needs to learn the science of recitation. The scholars stated that the law of studying tajwid is fardhu kifayah but practicing tajwid when reading the Al-Qur'an is fardhu ain or obligatory for men and women who are mukallaf. This expert system was built and designed to make it easier to learn tajwid so that it is not boring, so that it can be learned without having to meet face to face with the Koran teacher and can be learned anywhere and anytime.

This article discusses an important aspect of the law relating to theft in thirteenth-century England, and one of the ways in which that law developed. Central to it is the argument that the treatise The Mirror of Justices and references in court records and reports show that a short statute enacted early in the reign of Edward I, probably in 1278, categorically defined 12d. as the amount, whether in goods or money, at which larceny became a capital felony, incurring judgment of death. As well as setting out the evidence for this hitherto overlooked ordinance, the article also argues that the statute can be associated with some significant developments in the way petty theft was treated subsequently. In particular it had the effect of promoting the development of penal imprisonment, while since the task of valuation was given to trial juries, it further enhanced the leading role of the latter in determining the fates of the men and women whose lives depended on their verdicts.

Globally, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is disrupting the way of life, affecting not only humans’ health, but also the education sector and law pedagogy is no exception. In South Africa, before the COVID-19 pandemic, most pedagogies at the universities were being conducted face-to-face. The pandemic has inadvertently exposed the strengths and weaknesses of university in conducting pedagogies. Consequently, various educational institutions became creative, using their ICT staff to train teaching staff members on how to use various multi-modal technologies and devices to conduct pedagogy as face-to-face pedagogy is restricted. Law lecturers who pride themselves in conducting pedagogies through face-to-face were also coopted and retrained considering that most of the law lecturers are broadly conservatives and not technologically savvy. There is paucity of any scholarly information from law as a discipline hence, this paper fills the lacuna by looking at law pedagogy in the era of COVID-19 pandemic.   Received: 24 September 2020 / Accepted: 3 November 2020 / Published: 17 January 2021

This chapter focuses on the ways in which legislation was implemented by the police and magistrates on a day-to-day basis, and the impact police policies had on the regulation and organisation of prostitution. Rather than there being a ‘crack-down’ on prostitution, as was the case in other cities such as London during this period, in Edinburgh and Glasgow the number of arrests and convictions sharply declined. The chapter uses police, magistrates and prison records to explore these trends further and examine the various reasons behind these patterns, including the wider changes in social attitudes towards prostitution and the importance of police chief constables and police officers in shaping the way that individual men and women were treated under the law. In particular, the importance of the Scottish method of using cautions, a system that relied on distinguishing between ‘amateur prostitutes’ and ‘hardened prostitutes’, will be examined. The first half of the chapter begins by examining the policing of street prostitution and the second half explores the policing of brothels and ‘pimps’.

Disturbances in the Hepatobiliaris system are health problems that are often encountered, even growing, so to know the diagnosis will be difficult. A better way is to consult an expert or an expert doctor. But there are also weaknesses such as working hours or limited experts. Expert system is one branch of artificial intelligence that learns how to adopt the way an expert thinks in solving a problem and make decisions and conclusions. The problem discussed is how to design a system that can be used to solve the above problems. The purpose and objective of the author in making this expert sisem is to assist the prospective physician in diagnosing disorders of the Hepatobiliaris system like an expert. Expert system using Best First Search method and using Forward Chaining technique. In this system poured knowledge of an expert in the can during research at Permata Ibu Hospital. An expert system developed based on Android on the client side, PHP and MySQL. This expert system displays a selection of symptoms that can be selected by the user, where each choice of symptoms that will lead the user to the next symptom option to get the conclusion.

The Colourful Heritage Project (CHP) is the first community heritage focused charitable initiative in Scotland aiming to preserve and to celebrate the contributions of early South Asian and Muslim migrants to Scotland. It has successfully collated a considerable number of oral stories to create an online video archive, providing first-hand accounts of the personal journeys and emotions of the arrival of the earliest generation of these migrants in Scotland and highlighting the inspiring lessons that can be learnt from them. The CHP’s aims are first to capture these stories, second to celebrate the community’s achievements, and third to inspire present and future South Asian, Muslim and Scottish generations. It is a community-led charitable project that has been actively documenting a collection of inspirational stories and personal accounts, uniquely told by the protagonists themselves, describing at first hand their stories and adventures. These range all the way from the time of partition itself to resettling in Pakistan, and then to their final accounts of arriving in Scotland. The video footage enables the public to see their facial expressions, feel their emotions and hear their voices, creating poignant memories of these great men and women, and helping to gain a better understanding of the South Asian and Muslim community’s earliest days in Scotland.

This article undertakes to show the way that has led to the statutory decriminalization of euthanasia-related murder and assisted suicide in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It presents the evolution of the views held by Dutch society on the euthanasia related practice, in the consequence of which death on demand has become legal after less than thirty years. Due attention is paid to the role of organs of public authority in these changes, with a particular emphasis put on the role of the Dutch Parliament – the States General. Because of scarcity of space and limited length of the article, the change in the attitudes toward euthanasia, which has taken place in the Netherlands, is presented in a synthetic way – from the first discussions on admissibility of a euthanasia-related murder carried out in the 1970s, through the practice of killing patients at their request, which was against the law at that time, but with years began more and more acceptable, up to the statutory decriminalization of euthanasia by the Dutch Parliament, made with the support of the majority of society.

The purpose of this paper is to create an expert system to detect oil palm plant diseases in order to help farmers / companies in providing accurate information about the diseases of oil palm plants and how to overcome them and to help reduce the risk of decreasing palm oil production. This system is designed to mimic the expertise of an expert who is able to detect diseases that attack oil palm plants. The method used is forward chaining that is starting from a set of data and proving a fact by describing the level of confidence and uncertainty found in a hypothesis. The results of this study are to diagnose diseases of oil palm plants and their computerization using web programming languages.

This article studies the concept of Ihsan (good deed) in the thought of ulama mufassirs (Muslim scholars interpretering the Qur’an). The result of the study being carried out by the writer is that the concept of ihsan being too narrowly interpreted, proves that it has wide interpretation in the thought of muffasirs. If so far among society the concept of ihsan has been narrowly interpreted on the good deed or doing good deed, so according to mufassirs, the concept means: (1) carrying out all obligations, (2) being patient to receive all the obligation and anything forbidden by God, (3) being obedient and always perfects his obedience in quality as well as in the way, (4) forgiving, (5) being sincere, (6) realizing the existence of God, (7) emphasizing the esoteric aspect rather than exoteric world, (8) knowledge, (9) being firm in the truthfulness, (10) havng understanding about the true teachings of God, (11) having good comprehension about the law appropriately applied among the Islamic society. The wide meaning of this concept because this concept is really expressed by the Koran in context. This article tries to attach the concept of Ihsan in several meanings about the education world
