Change readiness is an important precondition for human activity and a component of the overall professional readiness. At the same time, an important component of a police officer’s personality is his/her creativity, which allows him/her to make decisions successfully and effectively in the changing and uncertain conditions of law enforcement services. The research aimed at establishing the correlation between the resilience of law enforcement officers to perform duties in unforeseen circumstances and their ability to be creative in this activity. The paper empirically examines the level of manifestation and correlation of creativity, change readiness and uncertainty tolerance in law enforcement officers. The study involved a set of diagnostic techniques for assessing the level of creativity, change readiness and uncertainty tolerance. Quantitative and qualitative methods of data processing were used. Strong correlations between indicators of creativity, change readiness and uncertainty tolerance were found in law enforcement officers. The prospect of further research is to clarify the correlation between creative solutions to occupational situations, change readiness and resilience, as well as other personal characteristics of law enforcement officers. This will help to outline a more holistic portrait of law enforcement officers and make their training more effective.

Organizational leadership is fundamental for the working and development of current organizations. It helps members of an organization to face transcendental challenges. One of the fundamental aspects of leaders is their personal characteristics and behaviour as perceived by their co-workers. Although research has established a relationship between these components, findings have failed to come up with any congruent evidence and further to this the organizations and contexts used are from several decades ago. This article, which forms part of the international GLOBE project, analyses the relationship between motives and behaviour as perceived by co-workers in organizations, using quantitative and qualitative methods and including technological innovations. Using samples from 40 corporate directors and 84 of their co-workers, from different companies, it confirms how the main motives of leaders (power, affiliation and achievement) are related to different behavioral patterns (power to authoritarian, non-dependent and non-social-skill behaviours; affiliation to relationship and dependent behaviors, and achievement to proactive behaviors). It discusses the results with relation to traditional research and suggests practical measures and proposals for future investigations in this area.

The article deals with the psychological climate in the families of law enforcement officers, which largely depends on the personal characteristics of their wives. Since it is a woman who is historically the "home keeper" and one of her family functions is to provide and maintain an optimal psychological atmosphere in the family, the topic of the article is particularly interesting and relevant. The empirical sample was made up of 205 women who are the spouses of law enforcement officers. The following methods were applied: "Individual typological questionnaire (ITQ) L.N. Sobchik, "Questionnaire of the level of subjective control" (LSC) of the E. G. Bekhterev’s research Institute, "Analysis of family anxiety" (AFA) Eidemiller and V. Justitskis, "Understanding, emotional attraction, authority" (UEA) by A. N. Volkova, "Marriage satisfaction Questionnaire" (MSQ) by V. V. Stolin, T. A. Romanova and G. P. Butenko, statistical linear method of regression analysis. The current pandemic and the measures taken to address it, on a global scale, are unprecedented. Times of crisis call for creative solutions, and these are not reduced to the work of scientists or politicians. In everyday life, both in online and offline spaces, people use their creativity to make sense of the current situation, to cope with it, and to learn its lessons. Social media is a privileged space for mundane and participative creativity through the production and sharing of coronavirus Internet memes. In this article, we examine the creativity of such memes from a dedicated Reddit community. We ask, in particular, what makes a coronavirus meme creative and what this creativity tells us about the pandemic and popular understandings of it. To answer these questions, we use a triangulation of quantitative and qualitative methods by having 480 memes coded by three social media users for surprise, meaningfulness, elaboration, humor, and creativity and qualitatively analyzing those memes that score highly on each dimension. An interesting finding concerns the importance of elaboration and humor for the evaluation of creativity in the case of memes, above the more traditional criteria of surprise (proxy for novelty) and meaningfulness (proxy for appropriateness), perhaps a feature unique for Internet spaces. The article ends with reflections on what these findings tell us about creativity on social media more generally and the creative processes involved in the generation and reception of coronavirus memes in particular.

The article is devoted to the study of the phenomenology of deviance of law enforcement agencies. The structural model of determination of deviant behavior of military personnel, which is implemented at two levels – behavioral and personal, is substantiated on the sample of 121 people. Used 5 diagnostic techniques: questionnaire SACS "Strategies for overcoming stressful situations"; the questionnaire for the assessment of the propensity to breach of duty (military) discipline; the technique of diagnostics of tendency to deviant behavior (A.N. Orel); five-factor personality inventory; Multilevel personal questionnaire "Adaptability" (A.G. Maklakov and S.V. Chermenin). In the structural model, the personal sphere is formed by both partial (psychological stability, aggression, normativity, volitional self-control) and synthetic characteristics (tendency to break discipline, tendency to delinquent behavior, tendency to self-injurious behavior). Behind each of the manifestations of deviation there are personal characteristics that can provoke or restrain it. Correlation analysis of data was applied. The proposed approach can be used as a basis for a complex (detailed) psychological (deviantological) portrait of a serviceman, which allows predicting his tendency to deviations of different etiologies.

Abstract Currently, in Latvia, an adequate teaching aid that would meet the major requirements of young novice pianists is not available. Consequently, a question arises: What could be an ideal teaching aid for them? The opinion survey of 165 piano teachers from all regions of Latvia was carried out according to a three-point scale, in which 30 parameters that would characterise the teaching aid were indicated. The quantitative and qualitative methods of data processing were applied in this research. The results of the survey show that an ideal teaching aid for young novice pianists should correspond to the pupils' age group and be multinational. The results of the empiric research were used to articulate the basic principles of the development of teaching aids.
